Hypocrisy in America! A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

I am sure I don't have to preach to you about the hypocrisy of the left. You see and hear it everywhere, right? In this age of Obama, it seems as if everyone is open to criticism EXCEPT the Democrats. In today's random thought post, I wanted to write about a recent episode of hypocrisy from the liberal left. It is no secret the Democrats are attempting to push through a heath care bill that, if passed, would be disastrous to America and everything she stands for. I am all for health care reform, and I believe there are many aspects that need to be fixed, but putting our health solely into the hands of the government is NOT the answer.

Just this past weekend, President Obama underwent his first physical since becoming commander in chief. While his doctor informed the public that Mr. Obama is in good health and "fit for duty," I found some of the doctor's findings interesting. Mr. Obama and his wife repeatedly push the need for "preventative care." While Mr. Obama and his wife push for this, Americans learned this weekend that our president had not had a physical since 2007- three years ago. As a strict constitutionalist, I believe people should be left alone as much as possible, but I also believe it is fair to call someone out when the person preaches the need to take a certain action, but fails to perform the action himself. President Obama: "Isn't the whole idea of this preventative care notion that you talk about mean that you need to see a doctor regularly? I'm just saying..." Usually, I do not care about when a president last went to the doctor if he is doing his job adequately. Although I feel this way, I do believe I have a right as an American to call out an individual who seems intent the wanting the government to run our lives for us. So, Mr. President, shouldn't you take some advice from Sarah Palin. She has no problem talking the talk and walking the walk. Maybe it's time you do the same. Remember during the campaign when the media repeatedly called for Sarah to release her health records? Brian Williams even asked Sarah about it during an interview. This same media that felt privy to call Sarah out now sits silent, but what else do you expect from a media that gets tingles up their legs and hot flashes on a regular basis.

Then, again, this is the Obama Administration we are talking about. An administration that sees itself as standing tall above all of us mere mortals. The hypocrisy of this situation doesn't end here. Michelle Obama's mission to end childhood obesity seems like a saintly cause, but once again illustrates the administration's attempt to control Americans. I believe Sarah said it best when she recently wrote that the administration could save a lot of money if it would just let parents BE parents. It is none of government's business what we feed our children. Parents know best what is good for their children. Sane individuals know best how to effectively live their lives. When the government intervenes and comes in between parents and children, this is crossing the line and opening the door to more government control. Once the government crosses the threshold of the home, where is the line drawn?

Throughout the entire 2008 Presidential Campaign, liberals pundits and members of the so-called media elite repeatedly questioned John McCain's health and Sarah's readiness should McCain win and become president, but get ill or die during his presidency. While they looked at McCain's age as a factor, it was his history of skin cancer that drew the most red flags from liberals. I still remember all of the ridiculous reports that I heard and read time and time again. There was no doubt that John McCain had the drive, enthusiasm and health do an adequate job as president. I have to wonder where these same pundits were this past weekend. While President Obama has not yet reached the age of 50 and is in good health, his cholesterol is high, and he continues to struggle with smoking. You all know that had this been President Bush's health report, the media and left would be jumping frantically up and down, voicing their concerns, but not with Mr. Obama. FOX News Channel did air a story and a live report about Obama's physical, but MSNBC did not even air so much as a mention of it. Forgetfulness or an error in judgment? I'll let you decide.

I really don't care if my president's cholesterol is a tad-bit high and he smokes because, frankly, it is none of my business, but it is unfortunate that the left does not see it this way. I applaud Sarah and individuals like her for calling out the democrats and their epic fail of a health care bill. It does not take a rocket scientist to tell us that we should eat healthy and exercise. Before the government attempts to come into our homes and tell us how we should live our lives, I suggest they stop and look at their own lives and lifestyle habits because the last thing Americans need is someone telling them to quit doing something they themselves continue to do. Americans deserve better.

Hard Hitting and Right On!!! A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

I want to take a moment to thank #1 Alaska Talk Radio Host Eddie Burke for having me on his show yesterday. Eddie is a great host who is not afraid to tell it like it is, which is so refreshing in the this age of Obama. For those of you who missed my conversation with Eddie, we discussed the future of the tea party. I also had the opportunity to call out the Anchorage Daily News for its misreporting. The ADN incorrectly reported that Sarah was not in attendance at the start of the Iron Dog, which was clearly not the case. Directly after I got off the air with Eddie, I noticed that the ADN had corrected its error. It's a bout time a news source retracts bogus information. While this may seem like a trivial piece of information, it is yet another example of just how out of touch the msm is with the people.

I wanted to take the time today to let you all know that Eddie recently wrote an op-ed for Red County in which he discusses the Family Guy controversy. (Click here to visit the op-ed Eddie recently wrote for Conservative Girl with a Voice.) Unlike many individuals, Eddie personally knows Todd and Sarah Palin and their family. I have included some of his article below. Make sure to click the link to read the rest of his hard-hitting and much-needed opinion in this matter. Eddie is a great advocate for Sarah, Alaskans and the rest of America too:

Critics and Family Guy think Palins are Hillbillies

By Eddie Burke

Making fun of Sarah Palin's last born child, Trig, is repulsive! Let's think about it. If you had a Down-Syndrome Child, and you were attending a public sporting event, would anyone in his or her right mind publicly make fun of your child? No way! Then why would a national TV show make fun of this child?

Click here to read the rest of Eddie's great op-ed.

Make sure to catch Eddie's show Monday-Friday on Smart Radio 700 KBYR from 5-7p.m.PST/8-10p.m.EST. If you're outside Alaska, you can listen online here. Eddie can also be found on Twitter @talkradiohost.

*****Palin Star Power***** A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

As a sports' fanatic and former athlete myself, I always turn to sports analogies when I want to get an important point across. Last night, Sarah came up to bat in the bottom of the ninth and knocked in the winning run. Just as fans would, no doubt, uncontrollably cheer at the star player who knocked in the winning run, so too did Americans across the country. SARAH IS BACK!!! As my regular readers know, I studied journalism in college and have repeatedly written and spoken out regarding my disappointment in the media's reporting. Although the majority of the media are in-the-dunk-tank for President Obama and his administration, there are honest forms of media out there that are reporting the truth in an an objective, fair manner. One such news source is the Fox News Channel. I couldn't be more thrilled and excited with the addition of Sarah Palin to this network. With her, Sarah not only brings vast political knowledge, but the experience of being a journalist. Last night, Sarah wowed the world and undoubtedly shut up a few critics too. Not only did Bill O'Reilly treat her fairly, as he is known to be fair to his guests and commentators, but he seemed to really appreciate her insight.

While I am so excited for Sarah to be back in the the forefront, speaking out on important issues and giving her much-needed political, common-sense advice, there are some skeptics out there- you know it, and I know it. I don't have to tell you about the liberal pundits, I'm talking about individuals who adore Sarah and support her, but are weary of her latest decision. I want to address those individuals. Remember, what Sarah's dad said directly following the election? He said "Let Sarah be Sarah." This is exactly what she is doing now. Sarah is no longer tied up and being given specific talking points to discuss. Last night, we saw Sarah, the real Sarah. Gone was the Sarah whom the McCain camp attempted to change. Gone was the Sarah who was unable to speak out on issues she really cared about. Last night, we saw the Sarah Alaska has come to know and love. Not only did Sarah know the issues, but she spoke with a common sense tone. This is a woman who knows the media firsthand. This is a woman who knows how to use certain aspects of the media to get her message out there. This is a woman who can write a Facebook note, hit the "post" button, and her message is immediately out there for the world to see. Now, she has an even bigger platform in which to speak. As a regular contributor to FNC, she will not only widen her base, but has the platform to stand up and speak out. No wonder the liberal left is so baffled and upset by her decision to join the FNC team.

No one knows Sarah better than Sarah herself, and we need to trust her most recent decision. We all know how successful she has been in the decisions she has made in the past. While many individuals are fearful that her taking on this job with the FNC may mean she doesn't plan on running for president, I see her taking on this job as an important step in a favorable direction to a presidential run. Americans will now be able to get to know the Sarah we already know. This will not only widen her base, but allow moderates and independents to see just how amazing an individual she is. Perhaps my favorite reason for why I am so excited by Sarah's decision is because it has already caused the liberal left's heads to spin, and I couldn't be more thrilled. The liberal left could not escape her when she turned to Twitter, and then Facebook. If their heads were ready to explode then, I can't wait to see what happens with them now. There is no doubt in my mind that their attacks against her will increase, but something tells me, Sarah already knows this and is prepared and ready, just as she was last night. Sarah's latest decision not only illustrates her political savvy, but the continued successful political future I'm sure she will no doubt have.

(Make sure to catch me as a guest on #1 Alaska Talk Radio Host Eddie Burke's Show this Thursday at 6PST. I will be discussing this latest move by Sarah. I would love to know what you all think of Sarah joining the Fox team. Post a comment below, and you just may hear me mention it on Eddie's show. Outside Alaska? Listen online: www.kbyr.com. Thanks)

Insight From a Cool Alaskan: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

My good friend, Eddie Burke, is not only the #1 Alaska talk radio host, but an awesome writer as well. Eddie recently wrote an article about Sarah from an Alaskan's point of view. Since I am not an Alaskan, I am always on the look out for articles written by Alaskans because they know Sarah and their state better than anyone else; after all, Sarah was their governor. I have to admit that I am jealous that Alaska had a governor with such integrity and sheer grit. As a Californian, I am outraged at the RINO governor the people of my state have to put up with. My fellow Californians know what I am talking about. I did vote for my governor because he promised to clean up the corruption of California and make it a pro-business state once again. As I soon found out, my governor did not live up to his promises, and our state continues down that familiar "politics as usual" path. The people of Alaska were so blessed to have a governor like Sarah. She not only cleaned up the corruption in Alaska, but unlike my "governator," she actually did "talk the talk and walk the walk."

As we all know, Sarah had high poll numbers throughout the majority of her time as governor. When John McCain selected Sarah to be his running mate, Sarah literally went from a little-known governor of the largest state to a virtual rock star. When she
stepped out onto that stage in Ohio and began to speak, I saw what my dad and mom saw in Ronald Reagan when they had him as their governor and later their president. Sarah simply has that special something. She IS the modern-day Ronald Reagan of my generation. Individuals like Sarah don't come along everyday, and I am so glad that I am able to experience the same excitement that my parents experienced during the Reagan years. I pray that my children will have the pleasure of calling Sarah, President Palin.

Eddie Burke has known Sarah and her family for years. I am so happy to have gotten to know him too. I respect him greatly because he does everything for the right reasons. Like Sarah, he is not afraid to stand up and speak out for what is right and just. On his show, he is not afraid to tell it like it is, even when the truth may hurt a little bit. No wonder his show is #1 in AK! In Eddie's most recent article for Red County, Eddie not only writes about Sarah from an Alaskan's perspective, but he also goes into detail about the reasons behind the hate Sarah is receiving from the left in Alaska, which has a lot to do with her decision to be John McCain's running mate. Eddie also writes about the extreme steps the hateful, vengeful Alaskan bloggers took and continue to take in an effort to bring Sarah down. This article is a must-read because it will give you a lot of insight as to why many of the attacks were thrown at Sarah after she was tapped as the VP nominee. I have decided to post the article in its entirety below for you to read. I encourage you to click here to visit Red County and check it out. While you're there, make sure to leave a message of encouragement for Eddie. He is fighting the good fight, so make sure to let him know you stand with him. You can also leave a comment here on my site as well. Eddie is a regular reader of Conservative Girl with a Voice, so he will definitely see your message. I am also pleased to announce that Eddie has a greed to post articles on Conservative Girl with a Voice, and I couldn't be more thrilled! Thanks, Eddie!

I hope you enjoy the following article as much as I did:

As We Say in Alaska, "Go Sarah, Go!"

By Eddie Burke
12/01/09

Some people in the Lower 48 might be saying," what is with you people up in Alaska?"

You might be wondering why people in our State would kick Sarah Palin around like she's the enemy? Also, you must think some of us are crazy to file 20 Ethics complaints on our former Governor that were all dismissed? If you ask me, these people who filed the complaints are crazy!

Prior to Sarah running with McCain, her popularity in Alaska had peaked at about 92%. Sarah had bi-partisan support on Oil and Gas legislation; she signed into law new ethics laws. She actually had Democrats that were praising her. She was a "Rock-Star" in Alaska. Sarah was the most liked Governor in the nation.

But then, a knock at the door or the proverbial phone call came. "Hello," Said Sarah. "Hi, this is John McCain." Wow! Who could turn that down? But Sarah would never predict what would follow in the months and year to come. Sarah Palin would become Democrat enemy #1.

As the McCain-Palin campaign went forward, Sarah's poll numbers in Alaska went down. Sarah gave McCain the needed bump with that slam-dunk speech at the Republican National Convention. All those partisan Alaskan Democrats who liked her before were now peeling off. As Sarah ramped up the attacks on Barack Hussein Obama about his associations with known Felons, such as Bill Ayers, Democrats around the nation and here in Alaska took it personal.

Well, Sarah and McCain lost. Most conservatives never thought McCain was a good candidate to begin with and we didn't like him much, but we liked Sarah Palin and she was his only hope. Like all Presidential elections, it's never about the VP; it's about the candidate for President.. It was about John McCain, but he blew it-- not just during the campaign, but through his years of votes as a Senator.

Sarah Comes Back Home

The evening Sarah landed in Anchorage; there must have been 800-1000 people to greet her outside at the airport. For 800-1000 people to battle the cold and darkness in Alaska was considered a tremendous gathering. I know; I was there.

Within only a year after Sarah returned to Alaska, twenty ethics complaints in total would be filed. Most Alaskans thought these women were crazy after 7 or 8 had been filed and dismissed.

Bloggers made money at being "Palin Haters." They lied about many things, including an FBI Investigation, but when caught lying they never would apologize to the Governor. The FBI made an unprecedented announcement stating the FBI never did and was not investigating Sarah. But there was still no apology. All the investigations against Sarah were dismissed. Nothing alleged was true. It was all just politics and a way to get back at her. For what, you ask? She accepted a request to be the Vice Presidential nominee for the United States of America.

It was a heavy price to pay for wanting to serve your Country. Her children were thrashed and maligned. The attacks continued on the Palin's in a way that no political family has ever encountered or has ever witnessed. And liberals say they are so tolerant.

I, like most Alaskans, was embarrassed for what a few in our State would do to bring down Sarah Palin. They cost the state millions and more, but they never cared. They stalled Government, but they never cared. The onslaught of complaints literally brought our Alaska Governor and state to a halt and embarrassed the rest of us. Governor Palin stepped down to let the state move forward. She did the honorable, selfless thing.

Alaska is great state and populated with people who love our Country. Alaskans are mostly center-right people and believe in the freedom that comes with living in Alaska. We love to hunt, fish and experience the great outdoors. We struggle with the long, cold winters to be away from the urban problems that are consistent with many places in the lower 48. We depend on snowmobiles and four wheelers like many of you depend on cars and trucks. In many places in Alaska, these ATV's are the only connection from village to village. We understand the need to have Alaska's vast natural resources developed responsibly.

Because of Sarah Palin, most American families know more about Alaska today than ever before. You know we have a wealth of resources including oil, gas and mining that need to be developed and delivered to markets for your consumption.

Don't believe the liberals and "Palin Haters" who say Alaskans can't develop these resources safely. They know nothing about Alaska, they are just obstructionists who would rather you ride the bus than drive your car. Yes, Sarah Palin paid a heavy price for wanting to serve and for accepting the call. But America is better off she did. And as her father, Chuck Heath, recently said on my radio program, "You have not seen the last of Sarah Palin."

As we say in Alaska, "Go Sarah, Go!"

Sarah's Right; Let's Win It: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

As we revved our engines up for the busy workweek today, I hope you returned back to work refreshed and relaxed from the Thanksgiving holiday. Thanksgiving is a great time to just sit back, reflect and give thanks for everything we hold dear as Americans. I am so thankful for the freedom I have as an American. I am so proud of our brave military men and women who risk their lives for each and every one of us day in and day out. As an American, I want my military men and women to be given the best. While I believe we should listen to General McChrystal and those in charge on ground, it seems our president is not ready to do so. President Obama is going to address this very issue of troop numbers tomorrow in an address to Americans.

General McChrystal has repeatedly said an additional 40,000 troops would be needed in order to succeed in Afghanistan, so why has it been so hard for our president to make what should be an easy, necessary decision? Send the troops, Mr. President. Yet, in an all-too-common occurrence with this administration, our president is once again back peddling. And now when he is finally ready to make a decision, he is going to compromise on the number of brave men and women to send to Afghanistan? Give me a break. This is not only outrageous, but deeply disturbing. We are not talking about compromising on the number of side dishes to prepare for Christmas dinner; instead, we are talking about the lives of our Military men and women. Obama is expected to announce, tomorrow, that 30,000 additional troops will go to Afghanistan. This is an important number because this number is 10,000 less than General Stanley McChrystal originally requested weeks ago (McChrystal requested 40,000). I am outraged that President Obama is choosing to compromise when we are talking about the lives of so many. While this is very upsetting, it is also unfortunate that Obama is not sending the entire 30,000 troops right away. Instead, he is expected to send 9,000 Marines to southern Afghanistan first with others to eventually follow. I fully agree with why senators like Jon Kyl of Arizona are so worried about this. According to Fox News:

"The speed of deployment worries Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., who said Sunday that a phased deployment will not force rapid change as the surge in Iraq did and will create more problems, as Vietnam demonstrated: "You need to put in everybody you can as quickly as you can and deliver a knockout punch to the enemy," Kyl told "Fox News Sunday."

Kyl is right in his assessment. The surge was successful, so why wouldn't we repeat this action again? Obama is playing with fire if he really thinks compromising will bring us victory in Afghanistan. I have to wonder if Obama knows the full implications of the decision he is about to make. I have to wonder if Obama really wants to win the war in Afghanistan. I never thought I would have these of fears, but I seem to have cause to be alarmed.

I know I am not alone in my reasoning, for I know many of you agree with me. Sarah Palin is also speaking out on President Obama's scheduled announcement regarding Afghanistan troop levels. As a former governor, Sarah knows what it's like to oversee our troops. While she was governor, she was the commander-in-chief of Alaska's National Guard. Sarah also knows firsthand what the families of our awesome men and women in uniform go through every time they have to say goodbye to a family member. As you all know, Sarah's oldest child, Track, serves in the Army. President Obama may be ready to compromise the lives of our brave men and women in an attempt to appease to his liberal base, which by the way, I guarantee would be upset if even one troop member was sent off to war, but Sarah knows better. She knows the generals on the ground know what's best. Why can't Obama listen to his generals and Sarah for once? Until our president and his administration begin to listen to those who know best, he is walking a very fine line. For goodness sake, this is an important decision that will either result in success or failure. Our troops deserve better. I stand with Sarah as she stands solidly beside our good men and women in uniform. Thank you, Sarah, for speaking out on this very important issue and always supporting our troops and putting them first, and thank you to our brave men and women in uniform for their tireless service to our country.

The following is Sarah's latest note that she posted on her Facebook Page last night regarding this:

Sarah Palin: If We're In It, Lets Win It

As Thanksgiving festivities wind down we contemplate all we have to be thankful for as free Americans! We head into the Christmas season wishing for leadership in Washington that reflects our commitment to the values and ideals that have built the freest and most prosperous and generous nation on earth.

Heading into December and Tuesday's announcement of our nation's strategy in Afghanistan, I ask the President to reassure us that the administration is in this War on Terror to win.

And I'll pass along the following from Harold B. Estes, a 95-year-old member of the Greatest Generation: "I realize you never served in the military and never had to defend your country with your life, but you're the Commander-in-Chief now, son. Do your job. When your battle-hardened field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him. But if you're not in this fight to win, then get out."

Thank you, Mr. President. Please tell us on Tuesday that America is in it to win.

- Sarah Palin

PS: You can read Mr. Estes' complete letter here.

New Feminism: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

What an eventful day yesterday. As you all know, Sarah Palin was scheduled to be a guest on #1 Alaska Radio Show Host Eddie Burke's show. Right before his show aired, he informed me that Sarah would be appearing on Wednesday's show instead. (Eddie's show airs from 3-6 PST. Click here to listen.) He asked me to come on the show at 3:30 PST, so I called Rishi, Eddie's producer before 3:30, and Rishi was nice enough to tell me that he would call me when Eddie was ready. See, isn't he a nice liberal? Rishi ended up calling me back about 15 minutes later, and I was put on to be interviewed by Eddie. I hope you all had the chance to listen to Eddie's show yesterday because you saw how great of a host Eddie is. While talking with Eddie, I was struck with just how great the people of Alaska are. I cannot wait to visit the state in May and meet the great folks who live there.

It was during my conversation with Eddie that I discovered what I would write about today. During our conversation, Eddie and I talked about a variety of Sarah-related issues, but it was our discussion of feminism that really fired me up. To many, including myself, Sarah is a modern-day feminist. She is a strong, intelligent woman who is happily married, loves being a mom and grandma and cherishes her career as well. The fact is that she stands for EVERYTHING self-described feminists have fought so hard against. She is pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, pro-marriage, pro-traditional family values and to top it all off, not afraid to dress feminine; she is comfortable in her own skin. Sarah is definitely the kind of woman these hateful so-called feminists warned us all about. The very fact that she chose life for her baby, precious little Trig, is further proof that she is not just talking the talk, but walking the walk. It infuriates these self-described feminist women every time she holds her baby, cares for her baby, loves her baby. It infuriates these women because they know that, unlike Sarah, they WOULD NOT have the courage to give birth to a child with special needs. That is why they hate her and loathe her; furthermore, Trig is evidence of just how precious and beautiful choosing life can be, which further sets these feminists tongues ablaze.

These so-called feminists preach equality and women's rights, while shunning the very fact that they are women themselves. They claim to want justice for women, yet they carry themselves like men. Instead of being proud proud of their feminine qualities, they wear pantsuits, flats and masculine haircuts. What happened to being proud of being a woman? Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with a classy black pantsuit, but I am talking about the self-described feminists who wear them. They hate Sarah because she is not afraid to wear a classy pencil skirt, blazer and heels. She is not afraid to wear her hair below her shoulders, put on some great makeup and flaunt her beautifully high cheek bones. When did it become wrong to want to appear beautiful both inside and out? When did it become so wrong for a woman to actually dress like a woman? While this seems like common sense to you and me, the NOW women, Planned Parenthood women and other liberal feminists out there do not believe in this type of woman. They do not believe a woman can be both intelligent and attractive.

Liberal, self-described feminists look down on Sarah for this very reason; it's as simple as that. They look down at her, as well as conservative women like her, because of the values she holds and the issues she believes in. Every time I watch feminists give interviews, I notice a common theme. These women all come across as being full of anger and resentment. I have been thinking long and hard about this. There is no doubt these women have successful careers and live comfortably, which is important, but something clearly seems to be missing from their lives. I fully believe this unhappiness results from the fact that they have found they are leading unfulfilled lives in which they seek to attain power, but lose out at experiencing any joys. Sarah Palin is an every woman in the sense that she has it all. The self-described feminists of today are clearly jealous of her for the life she leads. The extreme vitriol and hateful way in which they discuss her on television is proof of the fear they have of her, which speaks volumes in terms of the power she holds as a woman.

The very mention of Sarah's name has the power to destroy everything feminists have worked so hard for. More and more women are viewing Sarah as a strong, brilliant woman. The women of NOW and Planned Parenthood realize this, which is the cause of the ramped up attacks we have see occurring in recent days. Average-day American women are comparing these spiteful feminists to Sarah Palin, and they are asking themselves: "Do I want to be hateful, or do I want to be happy? What's so wrong with being proud to be a woman while holding a position of power?" Sarah is a happy, modern woman while her feminist counterparts are unhappily leading their lives as if it were still the Seventies. These same feminists who attack here and say she is a step backward for women are the same women who sit back and continue to watch as she is unfairly attacked. Where are these women to speak out on the sexist Newsweek cover that clearly takes Sarah out of context? Had that been a liberal woman on the cover, you know these groups would be out in full-force.

Where were these feminist groups when the AP put 11 fact-checkers to work on Sarah's book, clearly trying to discredit her? It is clear these woman do not care about rights for all women; moreover, they only seem to care about the rights of liberal women. My good friend, Adrienne Ross, of the blog Motivation: Truth gives an excellent reason for why organizations like the AP are doing everything in their power to bring Sarah down (courtesy of foxnews.com):

They're obsessed with trying to discredit her.... Because she's a conservative woman, they make fun of her accent, comment about her looks. She doesn't come in the package they want her to come in."

Well said, Adrienne. I believe what Adrienne said goes for the liberal-feminists who attack her as well. In attempting to bring her down, they are clearly illustrating the fear they have in the power this one woman holds. Sarah doesn't come in the plain, strictly wrapped feminist package- thank goodness for that; instead, she comes in a beautifully wrapped box, full of bold colors and topped off with a phenomenal red bow.

Sarah IS proof of how the times have clearly changed. She IS a modern-day feminist who is close to shattering the glass ceiling for women like me all over America. She is a successful woman who has a wonderful husband, five fantastic kids and an adorable grandson. It must really anger these women that Todd steps in and helps Sarah too. They are two equals, and for these liberal feminists who preach equality, one would think Sarah and Todd would be the poster couple for what a great marriage looks like. Yet, we are talking about women who loath traditional family values. We are talking about women who say they are pro-choice, but spew hate and judgment on a woman who CHOSE life. Sarah and modern-day medical technology ARE the reasons why people are choosing life. Women are seeing that little life in front of them on those ultra sound machines, and they are realizing that little being IS a living, breathing life.

When Sarah goes around the country with her family in the coming days, there is no doubt in my mind that the feminists who hate her will attempt to gain favor by speaking out against her just as they did when she held precious Trig on the campaign trail a little over a year ago. Let them try. Let them try to discredit her as an example of step back for women. Just remember this: We KNOW the truth. We KNOW what Sarah really is: She is a wife. She is a mother. She is a grandmother. She is a classy modern-day feminist who is not afraid to tell it like it is, doing it all in a classy skirt and high-heels. Yep, she is a woman of my time, a TRUE modern-day woman who will lead our country out of the wilderness and onward to that shining city on a hill.

"Couch" Time for Sarah: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

Sarah’s going to be sitting on Oprah's couch next month? Although it has not been confirmed by Palin Family Spokeswoman, Meg Stapleton, the Oprah Winfrey show released a press release yesterday, which stated that Sarah will be appearing as a guest on Oprah's show on Monday, November 16th- the day before her book "Going Rogue: An American Life" is scheduled to be released. While many, including myself view this as a brilliant move that will help Sarah reach a target demographic, many are criticizing Sarah and Oprah alike, which is unfortunate.

Sarah is a very savvy woman who not only easily connects with individuals, but also has a wonderful story to tell that I cannot wait to hear. Why would anyone be against an appearance of this sort? Well, while you and me are excited for this, members of the liberal left find themselves in an uproar. Last I checked, we live in America, the home of the brave and the land of the free. Maybe those who find themselves criticizing Sarah and Oprah have forgotten that there is such a thing as the First Amendment and Freedom on the Press. Isn't it funny how these same individuals, who claim to love Oprah's show, didn't voice any outrage when Oprah had Barack and Michelle Obama on her show? While I do not agree with Oprah politically, I did not voice my opposition because it's Oprah's show; therefore, she can have whomever she wants to have as guests.

Being the blogger and citizen journalist I am, I decided to investigate and find out just what was being said about Sarah's scheduled appearance. Not only was I shocked, but ashamed of what my fellow sex, in particular, was saying about Sarah. While there were a few positive comments, the vast majority of the comments were not only libelous, but also judgmental and cruel.

Not only were the majority of these individuals hypocritical and wrong in their assessment, but they are against any individual who does not agree with their Messiah. These individuals need to grow up and realize that not all individuals agree with them politically. There is such a thing as turning off the television. With their intense dislike of Sarah, it is not a far stretch to assume they are Obama supporters and fear Sarah because she is not afraid to speak out against the president. I find it humorous that these individuals call Sarah “dumb” and “stupid” and “uneducated,” yet how ironic that these hateful individuals are unable to properly spell when commenting- guess they’ve never heard of spell check and forgot about the lessons they learned in school about using proper grammar… What other explanation could there be for all of this hatred other than to conclude that they fear Sarah and what she might say? If Sarah were not a threat, these individuals would NOT be taking this hateful stance. Last time I checked, there was not nearly the amount of scrutiny for even the most controversial of Oprah guests, including the so-called pregnant man, Thomas Beatie. Yep, Sarah’s a definite threat to everything the liberal left hold most dear. They must really think we, conservatives, are stupid, but little do they know that we know the game they are playing.

The liberal left Oprah fans are wrong on so many levels in thinking they know Sarah Palin, the woman and Sarah Palin, the candidate. Unfortunately these individuals are not alone. Magazines such as People are also not getting the facts straight. You and I both know that Sarah NEVER refused to appear on Oprah. After endorsing Barack Obama, Oprah, NOT Sarah, said she would not being having any other political party’s candidates on her show. Last night, I received a tweet that People was reporting that, while Sarah refused to appear on Oprah’s show during the campaign, she is now having a change of heart. Here’s a portion of the bogus report from “People”:

“Oh, what a difference a multimillion-dollar book deal makes.

About a year after Sarah Palin famously turned down a campaign season appearance with talk show host – and major Barack Obama supporter – Oprah Winfrey, the former GOP vice presidential candidate has agreed to take her turn on the couch.”

Okay, either I was in a coma when Sarah refused to go on Oprah, or “People” is making this incident up. Since I’m perfectly healthy, “People” needs to correct its information and start reporting the truth. Perhaps they need to ask Oprah why she didn’t invite Sarah on during the campaign even though we all know why she didn’t. Oprah, like the liberal left during the campaign only had eyes for Obama. With this said, I must re-iterate that it is Oprah’s show, which entitles her to have any guest on that she wants to. As I write this, this bogus report still appears on the magazine’s website, which illustrates yet another example of the terrible state of today’s so-called media. Also, to elude that the only reason Sarah is sitting down with Oprah is to sell her book is outrageous. Where was this comment when Barack Obama went around doing book interviews for his books? Yep, the media just don’t get it!

As I mentioned above, there were a few positive comments on Oprah’s website. Nice comments like the following:

I quit watching Oprah and this website during the McCain/Obama presidential campaign. There were many reasons why I left, I did not think Oprah was fair to the other candidates, she only had eyes for Obama. One of the reasons I quit Oprah was her not giving Sarah Palin time on her show, after John McCain announced his running mate Sarah Palin. Finally Oprah wises up and Palin will be on her show! I think Sarah Palin is a strong role model in America for women "soccer moms" and all moms, and families. She and her husband Todd, and their beautiful children and grandchild were given a lot of crap from the hungry media but the Palin's stood strong. Their foundation is good. Good luck to Sarah Palin in the future and thank you Sarah for being a woman of truth and being there for the average Joe the plumber! I can't wait to read your book! Ps. We need Tort reform for doctors, We will lose doctors and nurses if this healthcare bill HR3200 goes through. Government stop spending our hard working tax paying Americans money! Pss. Go Team Palin!!! How can I get tickets for the Palin show?

I could have joined in October to bash Oprah for supporting Obama. I didn't. The reason is this: despite whatever I may think of Oprah's politics, I respect her accomplishments as a businesswoman and a talk show host.

It's unfortunate that Sarah Palin can't be afforded the same respect by those who disagree with her.

The above comments illustrate the classiness of conservatives. Sarah, like Obama before her, deserves to be heard. I guarantee the individuals with the cruel comments above will be in the minority come show time, and mark my words: I predict right now that November 16th’s Oprah show will be one of the highest, if not the highest, rated Oprah show ever. Sarah has an amazing life-story that so many want to hear. People are sick of hearing the rumors and stories from anonymous McCain staffers, and people are sick of hearing the outrageous comments from people like Rick Schidmt and Meghan McCain. It’s Sarah’s turn to sit on the couch and dish, and like you, I couldn’t be more excited.
