Kathy Griffin, Unfunny and Un-American

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

Kathy Griffin may have been invited to the state of Alaska to perform "comedy," but she certainly wasn't invited to Governor Palin's home, which is where she showed up nonetheless--something law-abiding citizens call trespassing. Supposedly, her purpose in walking past a number of "No trespassing" signs on the Palin property was to invite her to the show.

The absurdity of that invitation is only more obvious now that details of the routine have been released, the least of which is that this is the same show where Levi Johnston introduced Griffin. That fact speaks volumes in and of itself.

The most disgusting part of Griffin's routine was her scurrilous comment that Senator McCain picked Governor Palin to be his running mate after she performed a certain sex act on him. I am choosing not to link to the video, as it is rife with vulgarity and Palin Derangement Syndrome symptoms well beyond the pale.

Under the guise of comedy, this lady--and I use the term loosely--comes to the state where Governor Palin was elected and served, then commences to spew sexist venom, suggesting that the governor's selection as the VP nominee could not possibly be because she was qualified. Governor Palin, whose resume includes city council member, mayor, oil and gas regulator, and governor with an approval rating of 93% at one point, was not tapped for her experience and expertise, but because she prostituted herself. Mind you, this is the same nominee who had more executive experience than anyone else on either ticket, but Griffin would have us believe that she "performed" her way into the senator's good graces.

Furthermore, Griffin's comment suggests that Senator McCain, an American hero who displayed incredible commitment to his country, who went through torture of a magnitude most of us will never even wrap our brains around, suddenly had such little regard for his country that one sex act was the deciding factor in who would join him in serving the America he loves and sacrificed so much for.

And this is supposed to be funny?

No matter your political party or your obsession with all things Palin--something Griffin admits to--relegating those who have served their states and their nation to positions of prostitute and john, just to get a few laughs from a few like-minded perverts, is not only unfunny; it's un-American.

Sarah Palin Talks Canadian Health Care, Baits The Drive-By Media, And They Get Caught Lying!

If anyone thinks for one second that Sarah Palin is not a political genius, well, they need to think again!

One thing we all know for sure is the democrat party and the media (yes, yes, I know, same thing) hang on her ever word, every action. Sarah Palin can walk out her front door and it makes headlines. Sarah is so far into these people’s heads. She is living there rent free.

Better still, she knows it and is constantly using that to her advantage. Take her State of the Union address at the national Tea Party convention last month. She wrote three words on her hand, and ever since, people are asking her about it, and giving her an opportunity to talk about national security, energy independence, and the budget. Genius, pure genius.

We speculated, at the time, that it may have been on purpose. Whether it was or just Sarah being Sarah, we’ll never know, but one thing’s for sure, the media took the bait!

This newest deal, of course, is even more delicious, because the left wing media has already started caterwauling over the speech Sarah gave in Canada this weekend. They are taking the bait here as well and, as usual, the Obamacentric media gets it wrong.

The Washington Post, in it’s "44" blog, a blog that only exists to promote Barack Obama and his policies, writes this:

Palin says her family went to Canada for health care when she was young

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, a fierce opponent of Democratic health-care reform efforts who has said America under President Obama is headed toward socialism, told a Canadian audience her family used to go to Canada to get medical care when she was growing up.

"My first five years of life we spent in Skagway, Alaska, right there by Whitehorse. Believe it or not -- this was in the '60s -- we used to hustle on over the border for health care that we would receive in Whitehorse. I remember my brother, he burned his ankle in some little kid accident thing and my parents had to put him on a train and rush him over to Whitehorse and I think, isn't that kind of ironic now. Zooming over the border, getting health care from Canada," Palin said a speech Saturday night, according to the Calgary Herald.

Palin spoke before a paying audience of 1,200 in Calgary, with tickets costing between $150 and $200, the Medicine Hat News of Medicine Hat, Alberta, reported.

Whitehorse, in the Yukon, Canada, is north of Skagway.

Palin has also told an alternate version of the story that had her family traveling south by ferry to Juneau from Skagway for treatment of her brother's burned foot, rather than to Canada, according to a 2007 report posted by the Skagway News.

Of course, the implication is that: "ooooh, Palin used ‘evil socialized medicine’ herself, but wants to deny America of the same fine treatment."

This story line fails on many levels.

First of all, despite what WaPo and other dishonest media seek to portray, Canada didn’t have socialized medicine in the 1960's. Oh sure, some provinces had experimented with it, Saskatchewan, for one, had some success even. But Canada didn’t have a national health program.

Another far left wing website TPM is also caught up in the lie:

Canada's single-payer health care system, known as Medicare, was established in 1966. Its principal founders were Tommy Douglas, leader of the social-democratic New Democratic Party and former Premier of Saskatchewan, and Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson of the Liberal Party. It had previously been implemented at the provincial level in Saskatchewan in the early 1960s, under Douglas's leadership.

At the time of Canadian Medicare's passage, Palin was two years old.

You see, this is how the dishonest media works, they rely on the hope that you, the reader is stupid and/or lazy, and won’t do any investigating themselves.

If nothing else, Sarah Palin’s very existence and the media’s reaction to her, has shown us that we must fact check absolutely ever single story they produce, because chances are good they got it wrong.

Here's the truth: The establishment of the Medical Care Act of 1966 allowed each province to set up their own "universal health care" programs, much like the states are free in America to do whatever they want regarding this sort of thing. The key word being allowed. (not required)

Of course, we know that universal care has been a disaster for every state that has tried it in the United States. Think Massachusetts.

It wasn’t until the 1970's that Canada had any sort of nationwide "universal care" and it only covered in-hospital care. Doctor visits and other services weren’t covered.

It wasn’t until the Health Care Act of 1984 that Canada had what has come to be known as socialized medicine.

So Sarah and her family never "benefitted" from "socialized medicine." On the contrary, they received the same kind of quality care we enjoy here in America.

Oh, and her brother’s treatment and the two "different" stories? Pretty simple, the family sought emergency care in Whitehorse and the follow up care was done in Alaska.

Once again, in their effort to smear Sarah Palin, the corrupt media proves just how worthless and lazy they are. Or maybe they know the truth about Canadian health care, but choose to lie about it to fool their mind numbed readers.

Hard to tell.

One thing’s for sure, with the progressive movement going down in flames, the media is grasping at absolutely anything to make it all stop. Unfortunately, for them, it’s not going to!

As for Sarah, and all of this idiotic reporting, talk show host extraordinaire Tammy Bruce, writing about the false rumor du jour, says it best:

Look, there has not been one ridiculous story/rumor/gossip about Palin and her family, starting with the 2008 campaign, that hasn’t been found false. So here’s the New Rule–if you hear something that sounds stupid, or ridiculous or makes it sound like Sarah Palin has somehow lost her mind, that’s your cue that it’s a false story, engineered to make it sound like, uh, Palin has lost her mind.

Read more here.

All I can say is: Nice try media, keep carrying the progressive’s water. You are making yourself more irrelevant every single day.

Meantime, Adrienne Ross reports that Sarah captivated the Canadian audience and spoke for roughly 40 minutes, without notes. Read Adrienne’s report here.

One last thing, it is this writer’s firm belief that when the history books are written, Sarah Palin will be included as one of America’s greatest and most influential leaders, but if Sarah does nothing more than continually exposing what a bunch of crooked liars the so-called "mainstream media" is, the lady will have provided a noble service to the nation.

Sarah Palin’s Successor, Sean Parnell, Cruising To Win In Alaska Gubernatorial Race: Leads By 60 Points

As any good CEO will tell you, choosing and grooming your replacement is one of the most important jobs you have. Now obviously, Sarah Palin didn’t pick Sean Parnell to be her Lt Governor, the Alaskan people did, and they made an excellent choice.

Sarah’s contribution was setting up a solid, efficient, capable administration that was able to achieve great things for Alaska. By any measure, she was an enormous success. But, as any great leader will tell you, you are only as good as the people you surround yourself with.

As Governor, Sarah Palin created an incredibly capable leadership group. A group that was able to help her fulfill all of her campaign promises to the Alaskan people, including the 50 year dream of a natural gas pipeline from Alaska to the lower 48, a project that is right on track.

One of the reasons Sarah was able to make the decision to step down as Governor was the fact she had such a dynamic leader as Sean Parnell waiting in the wings. Parnell shared Sarah’s solid vision for Alaska, and vowed to carry on with that vision.

It comes as no surprise then that Governor Parnell, despite having two challengers, is looking at a landslide victory in the Alaska GOP primary.

Parnell would defeat Ralph Samuels 69%-9% and Bill Walker by 69%-4% in the 2010 Republican primary election, according to a new poll conducted by Basswood Research. The poll also found that 79% of Alaskans likely to vote in the upcoming primary approve of the job Sean Parnell is doing as governor, and 71% of voters view Parnell favorably.

This poll was conducted for the Parnell campaign, and is consistent with other recently released independent polls. A recent Dittman Research poll shows Sean Parnell’s job approval at 81% among all voters, according to a news story published February 25 by the Alaska Dispatch. And, a January poll by Hays Research Group showed Parnell’s approval rating at 73% [http://www.haysresearch.com/page2/page27/page27.html].

According to the new poll:

* Sean Parnell would easily win the Republican primary if it were held today, capturing 69% of the vote, with 13% split between Ralph Samuels and Bill Walker, and 18% still undecided.

* Parnell would defeat Ralph Samuels by more than 60% and Bill Walker by fully 65%.

* 79.4% of likely voters in the upcoming Republican contest approve of the job Parnell is doing as governor.

* 71.2% of likely voters in the 2010 Republican Party primary view Parnell favorably.

"At present, the race between Parnell, Ralph Samuels, and Bill Walker for the Republican nomination is, for all practical purposes, no contest, with Parnell holding a massive 60-point lead," said pollster Jon Lerner in a memo to the Parnell Campaign. "Parnell maintains large leads among every voter segment, including a 69%-7% lead among moderate Republicans and Independents, and a 71%-10% lead among conservative Republicans and Independents. There is quite simply no primary voter segment that favors Parnell’s opponents."

Further details on the poll can be found here: http://www.parnellgovernor.com/News/march-2010.pdf.

"I’m grateful for the strong support of so many Alaskans," said Sean Parnell. "It is a great honor to serve as governor, and with their support I will continue to work hard to build our economy, develop our resources, and improve the quality of life for Alaska’s families."

This survey of public opinion in Alaska was conducted by Basswood Research on February 27-28, 2010, among 500 likely Republican primary election voters. All interviews were conducted by professional interviewers by telephone. Interview selection was at random from among lists of registered voters with a history of voting in Alaska Republican primary elections. The sample was constructed to statistically correlate with actual voter distributions in the state. The accuracy of this statewide survey is within +/-4.38% at a 95% confidence interval.

While Walker was never a serious consideration, Ralph Samuels was attempting to mount a strong campaign. Or at least was until Stacy Drake reminded everyone about some questionable dealings and problems with his resume. You can read about those here and here.

It should be noted Governor Parnell, using common sense conservative leadership has maintained the same kind of high approval ratings that Sarah Palin enjoyed during her tenure as Governor.

Sarah Palin, now a national leader, can certainly look back with pride and take great satisfaction knowing that the team she put together is performing so well for the Alaskan people. Her job as Alaska’s CEO fulfilled.

Meanwhile, Governor Parnell is proving himself to be a strong decisive leader and a real star in his own right, a leader who is keeping Alaska strong. Not sure if it’s the clean air or the pure water, but there is something about Alaska that is producing outstanding conservative leaders.

We could certainly use that sort of leadership in Washington!

It's Time to Stop the Hate, America

by NYPalinPower

"Listen to me people, just because you talk to a woman about glasses, purses, children, and dating, does not mean that you are going to sit down for a glass of Kool-Aid, and give up on everything that you believe in. Liking Sarah Palin is not a sin. Judging her as a politician, rather than a human being, is."
- Ilana Angel

http://www.jewishjournal.com/keepingthefaith/item/defending_sarah_palin_over_a_glass_of_kool-aid_20100305/

Ilana Angel writes a blog for The Jewish Journal. Last Tuesday, she unexpectedly met Sarah Palin in Los Angeles at a restaurant and then blogged about it. Excited to meet such a "lovely person" she was happy to share that experience with her readers. However, the responses she got was more than she was bargaining for.

http://www.jewishjournal.com/keepingthefaith/item/sarah_palin_my_unexpected_new_bff_20100303/

As a fellow Jew, I am proud of Ilana Angel for defending Sarah Palin in her blogs. She continues to this day to defend her even though it isn't the "politically correct" thing to do or popular with her readers. And while she doesn't agree with Sarah's politics and will never vote for her, I honor Ilana's decency and "chutzpah" for standing up to those who responded with such shocking and hateful comments.

I entirely agree with Ilana about the hatred issue. To attack anybody personally based solely on their politics (or religion or race, etc..) is ignorant and is an embarrassment to the human race. I have also seen horrible personal attacks on our president, and although I am certainly not a fan and I don't agree with his politics, I have never condoned this kind of hatred.

In my view, the world is one huge family, and it is healthy that our individual views differ, but we should not hate one another for them. We all are unique with varying beliefs and opinions. We don't have to agree, but we must respect those differences. As one person once wrote on Sarah's Facebook wall, we are all just one little piece of jigsaw that together make a beautiful puzzle. So let's stop the hatred America before something very terrible happens. We must be decent with one another. Let us speak up, talk back and debate the issues and then vote at the ballot box. But don't ever, ever hate your fellow human being.

In a follow-up blog she writes:

"I am being called brave for writing the blog. I am being hailed as a hero for not judging her. I am being called a idiot for liking her. I am being judged negatively for being kind. Has the greatest country in the world become so polarized over this woman, that we have forgotten how great this country is? There are moments in each of our lives where we have the choice to be kind and decent, or animals. It is beyond crushing to me that this blog presented so many people with the chance to be kind, and instead inspired them to be animals."

http://www.jewishjournal.com/keepingthefaith/item/shabbat_shalom_sarah_palin_20100306/

Then she goes on to ask some very important questions (as us Jews typically do):

"Why is it, that just because I do not agree with Sarah Palin and her politics, I need to hate her? Who is so superior to think that it is okay to hate based on things that, on the most basic of levels, don’t really matter?"

"What message are we giving each other, if we are able to hate each other for beliefs? This week has made me sad. Sad as a mother that there is so much hate in the world in which I am raising my son. I met a cool lady, with killer boots and fabulous glasses, and because I liked her, I am hated. Have we learned nothing from the history of the world?"

And finally, a sort of prayer:

"What a lovely world it would be if were able to define ourselves as people first. Imagine the future we would be giving to our children, if being a good person, was more important than the color of our skin, or who we vote for."

So Ilana, keep up the good work and keep on blogging! And although I'm not looking to find Mr. Right, I send my best prayers and wishes that you do!

Governor Palin Captivates Canada

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

Governor Palin spoke in Canada last night and was well-received, as usual.

CTV Calgary, covering the event, reports:

Sarah Palin picked Calgary to make her first public appearance in Canada since the presidential election, and those in attendance say she didn't disappoint.

More than a thousand Calgarians shelled out big bucks to hear her speak Saturday night.

Palin talked about energy policy, the environment, climate change, and of course, politics.

Palin played to a full house at the BMO Centre.

1200 people collectively shelled out nearly a quarter of million dollars to hear her talk about oil and gas, climate change, and big government.

[...]

[Senator] Wallin says Palin also seems to know more about Canada than most American politicians.

Click here to read the entire article.

The governor apparently delivered her speech without notes, which takes me back to the campaign when it was stated that she possesses a photographic memory. Democrat Elaine Lafferty, a consultant with the McCain campaign, said then:

“Palin asks questions, and probes linkages and logic that bring to mind a quirky law professor I once had. Palin is more than a “quick study”; I’d heard rumors around the campaign of her photographic memory and, frankly, I watched it in action. She sees. She processes. She questions, and only then, she acts.”

Of her speech last night, Petti Fong of thestar.com adds:

She drew applause from the crowd when she said those who advocate sound science, not "snake-oil science" in discussions about climate change will win the debate. "What's going on right now is vindication for us that we're dealing with sound science, not politics," she said. "People's eyes and ears are open."

Palin didn't take questions from the audience, but told Wallin her focus is on getting politicians elected who share her beliefs in free enterprise and free markets, smaller government and letting the private sector do everything possible.

"The answers aren't easy, but there are some simple answers," said Palin, who added she supports the "common sense values" of former president Ronald Reagan.
