Legitimate Questions for the President

Governor Palin today posted on Facebook:
Mr. President, should they or should they not build a mosque steps away from where radical Islamists killed 3000 people? Please tell us your position. We all know that they have the right to do it, but should they? And, no, this is not above your pay grade. If those who wish to build this Ground Zero mosque are sincerely interested in encouraging positive "cross-cultural engagement" and dialogue to show a moderate and tolerant face of Islam, then why haven't they recognized that the decision to build a mosque at this particular location is doing just the opposite? Mr. President, why aren't you encouraging the mosque developers to accept Governor Paterson's generous offer of assistance in finding a new location for the mosque on state land if they move it away from Ground Zero? Why haven't they jumped at this offer? Why are they apparently so set on building a mosque steps from what you have described, in agreement with me, as "hallowed ground"? I believe these are legitimatequestions to ask.

Governor Palin Demands Answers

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

Last night, after President Obama chose to voice his support of the controversial too-close-to-Ground Zero-mosque during a White House Ramadan dinner, I posted an article. In that piece, I mentioned some questions that need to be asked. I wondered why President Obama wasn't asking the same important questions.

Well, perhaps the President doesn't see that we need answers, but Governor Palin certainly does, which is just another reason she's considered to be a leader among possible presidential contenders. She writes the following in her recent Facebook note called, "Legitimate Questions for the President":

I believe these are legitimate questions to ask.

She followed that note with the following tweets:

1. Mr. President, should they or shouldn't they build a Muslim mosque steps away from where radical Islamists killed 3000 people?Your position?

2. We all know that they have the right to do it, but should they? This is not above your pay grade.

3. Mr. President, did you encourage the mosque dvlprs to accept Gov. Paterson’s offer of land if they move away from hallowed ground @ GZero?

4. Mr. President, why are they so set on marking an area w/ mosque steps from what you described, in agreement with many, as "hallowed ground”?

5. 9/11 mosque=act of fitna, "equivalent to bldg Serbian Orthodox church@Srebrenica killing fields where Muslims were slaughtered" - Raza&Fatah

6. Please read this op-ed: http://is.gd/ehXMB by Raheel Raza and Tarek Fatah.

Governor Palin's obvious disappointment (understatement, I'm sure) in the President's "unshakable" support of this slap in the face of the 911 victims' families, New Yorkers, and Americans--the majority of whom do not want the mosque there--is understandable. In fact, I simply cannot comprehend those who do not see why this is the wrong position for the President of the United States to take, why it's the wrong position period.

Another Palin Derangement Syndrome Sufferer Pays Hell

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

Two days ago, I covered the story of two New Hampshire Democrats who chose to use Facebook to wish death on Governor Palin after the plane crash that left Ted Stevens dead. One was State Rep. Timothy Horrigan. He resigned after he came under fire for his hateful comments.

The other was Keith Halloran, a Democratic candidate for State Representative in Cheshire County. RedHampshire has reported:

It took over 24 hours, a news story that spread from Concord to Anchorage, a mention on Fox News, and denouncements from state Democrats but Keith Hallaron has told WMUR that he will not actively campaign for the NH House.

Halloran at first called the criticism of his comment a “tempest in a tea party tea pot,” but he later issued a statement on Facebook apologizing for the post. Thursday, he said he was withdrawing from the race for District 7.

“After consulting with the secretary of state’s office, I am withdrawing as an active candidate for the New Hampshire House,” Halloran said in a written statement. “I urge registered voters to consider supporting and voting for the truly progressive candidates on the ballot on Sept. 14 and Nov. 2. Live Free and Move Forward.”

Read more here.

As I stated when I first covered this story, it's time for people to be held accountable for their words and actions, and contrary to what some of these characters may think, anything does not go when it comes to Governor Palin. Indeed, there is hell to pay for such asinine, evil comments.

Roberts: Sarah Palin Really Can Become President

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

Irish Central breaks down the new CNN poll and discusses why Governor Palin can indeed become President of the United States.

Patrick Roberts writes:

Yes, children Sarah Palin really can become president of the United States.

Take a look at yesterday's CNN poll.

It shows Mitt Romney just three points ahead of Irish American Palin right before the kickoff for the 2012 republican nomination which begins the day after the November mid-terms.

That three points is within the margin of error.

It is also within the margin of error of those pundits who say that Palin has no chance to be selected.

They are dead wrong and this poll bears that out

This poll says otherwise, as do a slew of results, including last week's primary in Colorado which showed the grassroots activists in the party are not going to settle for the status quo and whoever head office is pushing.

That is bad news indeed, for Mitt Romney who is the anointed one.

He is a very skilled politician, who was an excellent governor of Massachusetts and did an amazing job with the Olympic Winter Games in his native Utah.

By right he should be the front runner.

But he's stuck in neutral, not ever drawing the kind of love from the grassroots that Palin can engender just by showing up.

Americans are mad as hell over what has happened to their economy and that throws the 2012 race wide open at this point.

Palin has a realistic shot if she decides to run.

Right now she'd be my favorite to win the Republican nomination.

I've written this before and now the CNN poll bears it out.

In this current deeply unsettled political climate President Palin is not far-fetched at all.

Remember you read it here.

I may not share the same positive sentiments regarding Mitt Romney as does the author of this article. However, this isn't about Romney. It's about Palin, and those who continue to dismiss her as a potential 2012 winner are in denial and may very well be in for a great awakening.

Sarah Palin Exposes Another Idiot: Robert Ehrlich

Originally, I was going to withhold my thoughts on Governor Palin's endorsement of Brian Murphy for governor of my neighboring state of Maryland. As is with all things Palin, whenever there is even a tinge of doubt (which is extremely rare and always a tinge when there is any), I wait and the outcome of the governor's move always brings me back to reality. It tells me I  must always resist my temptations as a political science guy to be quick to go to the textbook. But this one was easy to overcome. As Greg Gutfeld said, Palin exposes idiots just by being herself. Add Robert Ehrlich to the list.

Brian Murphy is a strong conservative. He is an excellent grassroots candidate who is exactly what we need in power. Just look at what he stands for. Sarah Palin gives valid reasons for her decision to endorse him. He is an outsider and it is time we got rid of the political insiders, what I like to call the "sludge" within the Republican party. Ehrlich has proven he is sludge.

My first reaction to Palin's endorsement was great guy, great conservative, but what a longshot. What chance does Murphy have even with her endorsement? But I understand now moreso than ever that after hearing what this Erlich clown had to say, that if Palin had picked a name at random out of the phone book and endorsed him against Erlich, that it would have been a worthwhile endorsement and that I should never have questioned why. This is just one clip:
“She clearly has a following, but on the list of proposed Republican nominees next cycle, she certainly is not on the top,” Mr. Ehrlich said in Annapolis. “She was only a governor for a year. I certainly would have liked to seen her finish her governorship. My personal issue with her goes more towards the fact she quit.”
This is an attack from an ignorant man, a Republican insider, who doesn't realize that she governed for nearly two years (not one - use a calculator moron) and who, it can be inferred, has no knowledge or understanding of the reasoning behind and the circumstances that led up to her resignation. If he did, as a good Republican, he would be outraged at what the liberals did to contribute to that resignation. But RINOs fear liberals and instead would rather validate their point of view regarding her resignation than to stand up for a fellow Republican, even if he had to do it diplomatically.

Is he that afraid of her that her endorsement of a little known is that big of a threat to his candidacy? Or is he just one of those who see it coming; that what Palin represents is an enema for the Republican party and people like him don't want to be part of the excrement. I've said it before and I will say it again. While the Democrats have more sludge than the Republicans, the GOP still has sludge.

And so, for the lady who went to Belmont Park, I gladly place my deuce on the nose of a longshot. Sometimes the one who sees weakness in the chalk is the person whose shoulder you want to look over when they are reading the Daily Racing Form. I strongly and emphatically endorse Brian Murphy to defeat the Jay Ramras and Lisa Murkowski of Maryland.
