Sarah: Braver Than Most- A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

Perhaps the thing I admire most about Sarah Palin, other than the fact that she's a phenomenal wife and mother and advocate for special needs children and women, is the fact that she is not afraid to call out individuals regardless of party. This has been the norm for her throughout her political career. As governor, she worked with all parties, and it was a common occurrence to see her reach across the aisle. Just because Sarah stepped down from the governor's office in no way means that she is going to huddle in a corner or simply speak out in favor of all things Republican.

We saw this very recently when Sarah supported the third party candidate, Doug Hoffman, in the NY 23 race. Not only did she prove that values are more important than party, but she successfully illustrated how important the conservative base is to the Republican Party. Following her endorsement of Hoffman, Hoffman's campaign donations and volunteer levels skyrocketed. This is all because of Sarah. No other Republican name has the same power; she is a star. I believe Sarah is the reason Rino candidate, Dede Scozzafava dropped out of the race early Saturday morning. When Sarah speaks, people listen. Just in September, Scozzafava was ahead of both Hoffman and the Democratic candidate, Bill Owens. When people began to discover how liberal this woman was, they began to look elsewhere, which illustrates why the latest poll, released this past weekend, placed her behind the other two candidates.

Sarah was right yet again. When she endorsed Hoffman, many political analysts questioned her and criticized the endorsement. Some analysts said if her political career wasn't over before the endorsement, it was definitely over now. Little did they know that Sarah's endorsement of Hoffman was a slam-dunk in defining how smart she really is. I've always known how smart and savvy she is, and you have always known this as well, but many who didn't are beginning to see how right we have been all along. Furthermore, her endorsing Hoffman not only proves her political brilliance, but also illustrates how fearful so many in the Republican Party are of standing up and speaking out. While Sarah was right, Newt Gingrich was wrong. When he endorsed Scozzafava, conservatives turned on him, and I know I wouldn't want to face the wrath of the grassroots conservative political movement. I know and you know that conservatives are always going to have Gingrich's Scozzafava endorsement in the back of their minds. When he endorsed her, he stepped in a huge pile of dog do- do, and when Scozzafava turned around and endorsed the Democratic candidate, Gingrich basically was left out in the cold in the dog house. Sarah led the way for other candidates to see that it was okay and necessary to endorse Hoffman. We began to see others like Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum and Tim Pawlenty stand up and speak out. These individuals have Sarah to thank for leading the way to doing what is right.

While Sarah is not afraid to go against her party, when she sees that the party is moving in the wrong direction, she is also not afraid to stand with her party when she sees that it is doing the right thing. This is exactly what she did this past Friday when she posted a note on Facebook encouraging individuals to listen to the Republican Party's Saturday Address by House Minority Leader John Boehner. Like us, Sarah knows that health care reform is needed (Medicare and Medicaid reform is necessary as well), but the Democratic Party is going about reform the wrong way. She stands with Republicans agreeing that free-market principles like Tort Reform, purchasing health insurance across state lines, reigning in malpractice lawsuits and allowing individuals to, according to Boehner, "pool together" to buy insurance at lower prices are some of the options. Unlike the outrageous provisions sought by the Democrats, these are real solutions that will not only drive down health care costs, but also allow people to have choice when it comes to their health care decisions without government interference. The government is the problem, not the solution. I sure as hell don't want the government controlling my health care decision. Do you?

Like the good parent she is, Sarah is not afraid to chastise her party when it does wrong and praise it when it does right. What an awesome woman! As I have repeatedly noted, the Republican Party finds itself out in the wilderness. While they are out in the wilderness, Sarah is waiting at home with the porch light on, and she is going to do everything in her power to help her party see the light. In praising Boehner and the Republican Party, she seemed to be saying, "I will stand with my party when it does the right thing, but I will also call my party out when it veers away from its conservative principles." Way to go, Sarah! When so many make the mistake of following the herd, you take a different path, the right path. You illustrate that the status quo is not always the right option. On the contrary, most of the time it is the wrong option. You are not afraid to stand up and speak out, which is so refreshing and http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifinspiring. With Sarah leading the way, America will once again see the Republican Party that accomplished so much during the years of Ronald Reagan. America will prosper once again as long as we as conservatives stand together and hold the Republican Party accountable. Dede Scozzafava learned a valuable lesson this past week. She learned that if you turn on the conservative base, you will not succeed and win the war. Let's hope others will to Scozzafava, the candidate, as an example of what happens when you turn on the all-too-important conservative base. Sarah knows this, and you and I know this too.

Sarah Palin To Joe Biden: Hey Pal, You’re The One With The Radical (Non) Energy Policy!

God bless Joe Biden, he truly is the gift that keeps on giving!

Chuck Graham, of course, is in a wheelchair!

Well, our Vice President has stepped in it again. Up in NY-23 today, while campaigning for democrat/communist candidate Bill Owens in front of a reportedly sparse crowd, Biden took a swing at Rush Limbaugh (naturally) and Sarah Palin He went at Sarah especially on energy:

"The fact of the matter is, Sarah Palin thinks the answer to energy is ‘drill, baby, drill,’" said Biden. "It’s a lot more complicated, Sarah!"

Wow, just wow. You have to wonder is Biden really this dumb? (I think we know the answer here) Or, does he think the typical democrat/communist voter is this dumb? (I think we know the answer to this as well, or Joe would still be a Senator!)

Now obviously, Sarah Palin, who was the Chairman of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, the very powerful regulatory body that regulates oil, natural gas, and mining in Alaska knows a thing or two about energy. For those that don’t know, as Governor, Sarah was also the Chairman of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission as well as the Natural Resources chair in the National Governors Association. Of all of the things Sarah Palin can talk about with great authority, energy is certainly at or very near the very top.

So with that in mind, Sarah has this for Joe Biden, via Facebook:

Response to Vice President Biden's Comments Today About My Position On Energy Independence

As the vice president knows, I have always advocated an all-of-the-above approach to American energy independence. Among other things, my alternative energy goal for Alaska sits at 50 percent because Alaska reached more than 20 percent during my term in office. The Obama-Biden administration, on the other hand, recently announced a renewable goal of only 25 percent. However, domestic drilling should remain a top priority in order to meet America’s consumption and security needs.

The vice president’s extreme opposition to domestic energy development goes all the way back to 1973 when he opposed the Alaska pipeline bill. As Ann Coulter pointed out, "Biden cast one of only five votes against the pipeline that has produced more than 15 billion barrels of oil, supplied nearly 20 percent of this nation’s oil, created tens of thousands of jobs, added hundreds of billions of dollars to the U.S. economy and reduced money transfers to the nation’s enemies by about the same amount."

This nonsensical opposition to American domestic energy development continues to this day. Apparently the Obama-Biden administration only approves of offshore drilling in Brazil, where it will provide security and jobs for Brazilians. This election is about American security and American jobs.

There’s one way to tell Vice President Biden that we’re tired of folks in Washington distorting our message and hampering our nation’s progress: Hoffman, Baby, Hoffman!

- Sarah Palin

Nice that Sarah got in the shot about Brazil!

As you know, just days after the self proclaimed "owner of the democrat party" Nazi collaborator, and criminal currency speculator, George Soros, bought controlling interest in Brazilian oil company Petrobas, Barack Obama "loaned" the oil giant $10 billion hard earned tax payer greenbacks!

When it comes to energy independence, Sarah Palin is very much someone who is an "all of the above approach" leader. Sarah has consistently advocated clean renewable energy, and put Alaska on a path to get 50 percent of it’s energy through renewables, exactly double the goal Barack Obama set for America as a whole!

Sarah is a big advocate of solar and wind, but understands we must also have nuclear as well as clean coal, natural gas, and yes, oil. No matter what "magic bullet" research may come up with, conventional sources of energy will be with us for generations to come.

Sarah Palin’s signature achievement as Governor of Alaska was AGIA which has led to the natural gas line that will be built from Alaska to the lower 48. Natural gas, quite simply, is the cleanest burning fuel there is. It’s not zero emissions, there is no such thing, but it’s clean enough that industries use CNG (compressed natural gas) powered machinery, such as fork lifts, indoors and in enclosed spaces, because of such low emissions.

This pipline, as it is being built, will be the largest construction project in North American history costing around $40 billion.

Contrast this with the real and true party of NO(!), the democrat/communist party of Joe Biden and Barack Obama. The democrat/communist party is against pretty much all forms of energy.

Oil and natural gas? Oh no, they’re "evil!"

Coal? Are you kidding? It’s the work of the Devil!

What about all of the "green energy" the party of NO(!) Is always carping about?

Nope, they don’t like it either! They have serious "not in my backyard syndrome." And, when that doesn’t work, they come up with some environmental concern. The windmills aren’t very friendly to birds when the fly into them, and the enviro-nuts are going insane over some desert rat in the Mojave now that giant solar farms are proposed.

In other words, the party of NO(!) Has absolutely no real solutions. I’m shocked! Energy is the lifeblood of our society, the lifeblood of our economy. The way the democrat/communists act, you’d think the democrat/communists were deliberately trying to destroy America.

For America to get back on the road to prosperity, we must have serious energy independence. We must "drill baby drill" for oil and natural gas, but we also must use our abundant supplies of coal, as well as build more nuclear plants and continue to develop alternatives. We send between $700 billion and $1 trillion a year overseas purchasing crude oil. Think of what that would do for our economy if that all stayed here in America!

This is yet another reason we need to follow Sarah Palin’s lead and help elect serious common sense Conservatives, like Doug Hoffman, nation wide! No more pale pastels, we need bold colors, and bold leaders!

BTW, as a bonus, who could forget this classic bit of "brilliance" from Joe Biden! I mean this sums up the guy’s intellect perfectly!

The video is long-ish, but worth it. You Tube has managed to scrub all of the others that just have the "best part."

As a set up, after Sarah mopped the floor with Biden at their debate, Perky Katie Couric did her part for the team by "helping" with damage control. It didn’t really help!

While riding on a train, Biden’s favorite form of transportation, Couric interviewed Biden at length. At one point, Biden gives us all a revised history lesson:

"When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, 'look, here's what happened."

One problem with "Uncle Joe’s" scenario here. When the stock market crashed in 1929, Herbert Hoover was President, having taken office in March of that year. (Inaugurals used to take place in March, rather than January) Franklin Roosevelt was still the Governor of New York, and didn’t take the Oath of Office, as President of the United States, until March of 1933.

Television, which was in it’s experimental infancy in 1929, was not around. The first commercial television license wasn’t granted until 1941, and it would be the 1950's before televisions became a popular "must have" appliance. FDR, however, was the first President to appear on TV. It was during an experiment in 1939, ten years after the stock market crash.

For her part, Couric just sits and smiles, never correcting Mr Gaffetastic. If only she would have had one of the guys that John McCain passed over as his running mate write this interview for her!

What’s that you say? You didn’t know? Remember the Sarah Palin interview the "Perky One" did? Well, she’s not much brighter than Biden, so she had help. Sam Nunn, who was passed over for Biden as Obama’s VP choice, coached Couric extensively before she interviewed Sarah. He came up with a series of "gotcha" questions for Katie to ask, including: "What newspapers do you read?"

Exit question, who do you really trust on energy, Joe Biden and the party of NO(!) Or Sarah Palin who has extensive energy industry experience?

The folks in Upstate New York may have the answer! As I linked to above, Biden spoke his nonsense to a "crowd" of 250 people, 50 of those being from the media. When Sarah was in Upstate New York earlier in the year, she drew 20,000.

Sarah Palin isn't Lying, but the DNC is (Video)

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

As you know, last week the DNC decided to attack Sarah Palin. Imagine that. In an attempt to undermine the huge impact she's had on the health care reform debate, they released a video in which they called her a liar. She, a private citizen who has been laying out the facts via Facebook, creates such a stir that she elicits a campaign to discredit her. But then again, that's no surprise; the president has had her on his mind for over a year now and has been addressing her Facebook notes for months. The fear is palpable, isn't it?

The DNC entitled their video "Call "Em Out: Sarah Palin Lying on Health Reform."

But wait...

C4P has revealed the truth in a video of their own, thanks to Sheya. The recently released video, "Quit Making Things Up: DNC," highlights the real deal, which can be summed up like this: Sarah Palin is not lying, but someone is.

Underneath the video released by the DNC, find the truth. I ask that you watch and then share with someone. After all, my sole motivation? The TRUTH!

This video can also now be viewed on the governor's Facebook page.

Sarah Palin Takes on Joe Biden Over Energy Independence

Common sense at its best, right here. Common sense--and fearless.

Chris Daggett: Sarah Palin is Right. I Was Wrong

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

(H/T Tommy Report at C4P)

Sarah Palin surely is shaking things up, isn't she? Earlier today she used Facebook to call out Chris Daggett on his false claim that she had called for him to drop out of the New Jersey gubernatorial race.

So, to the good people of New Jersey, please know that Daggett’s claims are false. I’ve never even suggested he should drop out of the race. But, come to think of it…

Chris Daggett admits she's correct.

George Stephanopolous of ABC News reports:

A Daggett spokesman acknowledges that Daggett’s claim on MSNBC was incorrect.

“She never contacted us asking us to drop out,” Daggett spokesman Tom Johnson told ABC News.

Johnson said Daggett got the incorrect impression about Palin from people on his campaign bus who themselves were mistaken and relying on an unsubstantiated blog item.

Read the rest here.

Relying on misinformation to misrepresent Sarah Palin? Why, that's never happened before, has it?! Hmmm...
