Conservative Revolution Brewing: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

It happened right after the presidential election last year; now, it's happening once again. Some liberal democrats and so-called "big tent" rinos are placing the blame on Sarah Palin for Hoffman's loss last night in the NY 23 race. Fellow readers, I knew and you knew that this would happen. There's always a fall guy, and in this case, a fall woman. In blaming Sarah for Hoffman's loss, we once again see just how wrong and ill placed these individuals are. There is a very good reason for why they blame Sarah, and I have a feeling you know what it is. What other reason would there be for placing the blame on her other than the fact that they fear her and the power she possesses. Sarah is a threat to everything the left hopes to accomplish. Not only is she not afraid to speak, but whenever she does, people take notice, which explains why so many hang, then attack her on her every word.

The NY 23 race is proof yet again of Sarah's power as a conservative Republican. While the media, leftists and moderate Republicans will place some of the blame on her, there is no doubt that without Sarah's endorsement of Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman, he would not have come close to winning yesterday. Take this Daily Kos Poll, which was taken before Sarah endorsed Hoffman. Before Sarah endorsed him, he had 27% of people supporting him. Last night, after the election results were tallied, Hoffman got 45% of the vote. You do the math, and you will see that her endorsing him helped him gain an additional 18% of the vote. In the end, Hoffman came within about four percentage points of beating the Democrat and the Republican. Although Dede Scozzafava dropped out of the race this past Saturday, she still had about six percent of the vote. That's not all. Scozzafava ended up going against her party when she endorsed the Democrat, Bill Owens. So, you see, the power of conservatism did win out yesterday. The power of conservatism was seen yesterday. The power of conservatism echoed throughout the country yesterday as 46 percent of upstate NY residents sent a message loud and clear that they are fed up with both the Republican and Democratic Parties. As a conservative, I am so proud of all those who chose values and integrity over party.

About a month ago, Hoffman was a little-known candidate from a third party. I have to admit that I knew very little about this race and the candidates in it. This all changed when Fred Thompson and, then, Sarah Palin took the brave step forward and endorsed him. Just before her endorsement, I had begun to study this race after reading some articles over at the Palin Twibe and the Sarah Palin Internet Web Brigade. I wanted to write about Hoffman and my support for his candidacy. Right before I endorsed him on my blog, Sarah endorsed him too. I had high hopes that she would endorse him, and when she did, she illustrated everything I knew to be true about her. She demonstrated yet again just how much of the real deal she is. She IS one of us. It IS because of her that Hoffman rose from the ashes and began to get national attention. It IS because of her that thousands from all over the country lent their money and time to his grassroots campaign. It IS because of her that members of this rapidly growing conservative movement know that our message is being heard and resonating across this great land. Just as she helped John McCain a year ago, she helped Doug Hoffman last night. Don't let the liberal left and moderate Republicans tell you differently, for they want you to shut up and sit down. Sarah released a statement last night following the NY 23 election in which she wrote:

A Victory for Common Sense and Fiscal Sanity:

Congratulations to the new Governors-Elect of Virginia and New Jersey! I'd also like to offer a special word of support to the new Lieutenant Governor-Elect of New Jersey, Kim Guadagno, the first woman to hold that office.

Of course, the real victors in this election are the ordinary men and women who voted for positive change and a return to fiscal sanity. Your voices have been heard.

The race for New York's 23rd District is not over, just postponed until 2010. The issues of this election have always centered on the economy - on the need for fiscal restraint, smaller government, and policies that encourage jobs. In 2010, these issues will be even more crucial to the electorate. I commend Doug Hoffman and all the other under-dog candidates who have the courage to put themselves out there and run against the odds.

To the tireless grassroots patriots who worked so hard in that race and to future citizen-candidates like Doug, please remember Reagan's words of encouragement after his defeat in 1976:

"The cause goes on. Don't get cynical because look at yourselves and what you were willing to do, and recognize that there are millions and millions of Americans out there that want what you want, that want it to be that way, that want it to be a shining city on a hill."

The cause goes on.
- Sarah Palin

Sarah writes what so many of us feel about the hopes and dreams we have for America. Just as Ronald Reagan before her, she is able to make us realize that we will conquer, and we will win in the end. Look at how far we have come over this past year! Last year on election night, I had tears in my eyes as I realized that America had perhaps just let go of an individual who could have gone on to become one of the the greatest vice presidents of all time. I was heart broken as I thought of how hard of a battle the election was. I knew America was going to change dramatically over the course of the next year, and this is exactly what has happened. Our country has changed and not for the better.

Looking back at how I felt a year ago, I may have been heartbroken and felt defeated, but I am able to say that a year later, I feel so blessed to be a proud member of a movement that is rapidly growing by the day. The conservative movement is on fire, and this is a fire that is not going to be out by even the most powerful of fire extinguishers. Sarah gives me hope and optimism that America will once again be the beacon of light and that beautiful, shining city on a hill. She has done so much for our country. Sarah's tireless service and dedication are two things that no liberal can ever take away from her.

While she continues to fight the good fight, I will continue to fight the good fight, and you all need to continue the good fight as well. Together, we stand strong, and together we can knock down any barrier that stands in our way. Keep up the good fight. I encourage you to continue to attend tea parties and keep the pressure on. I encourage you to start a blog. Think of it as a daily journal that you are sharing with you fellow man and woman. Writing this blog has opened so many doors, but most importantly, it has allowed me to spread the common sense message of conservatism and allowed me to meet so many amazing like-minded people. So, fellow readers, let us continue down this road together united for a common goal and purpose, for in the end, we WILL win the battle and conquer the war.

Update: Sarah Palin & Election Day Reminder

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

Today is Election Day, and the eyes of the nation have been on three important races in particular: the race in the NY 23rd Congressional District, the gubernatorial race in New Jersey, and the gubernatorial race in Virginia.

Yesterday, via Facebook, Sarah Palin implored: "Hoffman, Baby, Hoffman!" We already know the impact Palin has had on that race. After her endorsement of Doug Hoffman, support for him poured in, and Dede Scozzafava stepped aside.

Also yesterday, in support of Bob McDonnell in Virginia--although independent of his campaign--Governor Palin made robocalls. Listen to the call below, in which she says:

Virginia, hello, this is Sarah Palin calling to urge you to go to the polls Tuesday and vote to share our principles. The eyes of America will be on Virigina and make no mistake about it, every vote counts. So don't take anything for granted, vote your values on Tuesday, and urge your friends and family to vote, too. Thank you.
(h/t C4P)

Finally, concerning New Jersey, in her endorsement of Chris Christie, Palin predicts;

Watch New Jersey's economy come alive under new leadership that will put government back on the side of the people! Chris Christie promises this new leadership.

While our eyes are on these three races, which have huge importance to our nation, do not fail to see the importance of your local races. Votes for highway superintendent and city councilman may not receive the same publicity as the races for Congress and governor, but they are still important. So exercise your right today.

UPDATE: Via Governor Palin's Facebook page:

It's Imperative That We Exercise Our Right to Vote Today

“...the right which woman needed above every other, the one indeed which would secure to her all the others, was the right of suffrage.”

Susan B. Anthony used those words to describe the cause she spent her life fighting for: the right of an American woman to cast a ballot for the candidate of her choice. Because of Susan B. Anthony’s tireless efforts and the courage and dedication of countless others, millions of American women will head to the polls today to exercise their right to vote.

When we consider the sacrifices made to give us this right, there is simply no excuse not to vote.

Today, the eyes of the nation are drawn in particular to the three big elections occurring on the east coast. New Jersey and Virginia will be electing new governors, and the 23rd Congressional District of New York will be sending a new representative to Washington D.C. The choices are clear in all three races.

In New York’s 23rd Congressional District race, Doug Hoffman represents the return of the ordinary citizen-politician who is dedicated to bringing fiscal sanity back to Washington, D.C. Doug’s message of cutting spending, lowering taxes, and ending the outrageous growth in the size and scope of the federal government has resonated throughout his district and the country. Voting for Doug Hoffman will send an important message to the powers that be: no more politics as usual.

The governor’s race in New Jersey is a referendum on the failed fiscal policies of the state’s current governor. New Jersey suffers under the highest tax burden in the nation – a burden which has caused many New Jerseyans to leave their home state for better economic prospects elsewhere. Chris Christie is dedicated to ending the reckless spending, the tax hikes, and the corruption that has plagued New Jersey for far too long. A vote for Chris Christie as the next governor of New Jersey will help to lead this great state – “The Crossroads of the Revolution” – back to prosperity.

In Virginia, Bob McDonnell’s commitment to lower taxes and fiscal responsibility make him the common sense choice in the governor’s race. If Bob’s honorable military service and track record as Virginia’s Attorney General are any indications of how he will handle the governorship, then it is safe to say that Virginians have an easy choice to make today.

Candidates like Doug Hoffman, Chris Christie, and Bob McDonnell represent common sense answers to the troubling economic questions facing our nation. They are a vote for fiscal sanity and for leaving our children an American future as bright and as promising as the one our parents left for us.

Please take time today to exercise the right that so many people fought to secure for us. In considering these east coast races, it occurred to me that Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and so many of the women who fought to give future generations the right to vote hailed from these states.

Vote today in honor of our past and with hope for our future.

Sarah: Braver Than Most- A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

Perhaps the thing I admire most about Sarah Palin, other than the fact that she's a phenomenal wife and mother and advocate for special needs children and women, is the fact that she is not afraid to call out individuals regardless of party. This has been the norm for her throughout her political career. As governor, she worked with all parties, and it was a common occurrence to see her reach across the aisle. Just because Sarah stepped down from the governor's office in no way means that she is going to huddle in a corner or simply speak out in favor of all things Republican.

We saw this very recently when Sarah supported the third party candidate, Doug Hoffman, in the NY 23 race. Not only did she prove that values are more important than party, but she successfully illustrated how important the conservative base is to the Republican Party. Following her endorsement of Hoffman, Hoffman's campaign donations and volunteer levels skyrocketed. This is all because of Sarah. No other Republican name has the same power; she is a star. I believe Sarah is the reason Rino candidate, Dede Scozzafava dropped out of the race early Saturday morning. When Sarah speaks, people listen. Just in September, Scozzafava was ahead of both Hoffman and the Democratic candidate, Bill Owens. When people began to discover how liberal this woman was, they began to look elsewhere, which illustrates why the latest poll, released this past weekend, placed her behind the other two candidates.

Sarah was right yet again. When she endorsed Hoffman, many political analysts questioned her and criticized the endorsement. Some analysts said if her political career wasn't over before the endorsement, it was definitely over now. Little did they know that Sarah's endorsement of Hoffman was a slam-dunk in defining how smart she really is. I've always known how smart and savvy she is, and you have always known this as well, but many who didn't are beginning to see how right we have been all along. Furthermore, her endorsing Hoffman not only proves her political brilliance, but also illustrates how fearful so many in the Republican Party are of standing up and speaking out. While Sarah was right, Newt Gingrich was wrong. When he endorsed Scozzafava, conservatives turned on him, and I know I wouldn't want to face the wrath of the grassroots conservative political movement. I know and you know that conservatives are always going to have Gingrich's Scozzafava endorsement in the back of their minds. When he endorsed her, he stepped in a huge pile of dog do- do, and when Scozzafava turned around and endorsed the Democratic candidate, Gingrich basically was left out in the cold in the dog house. Sarah led the way for other candidates to see that it was okay and necessary to endorse Hoffman. We began to see others like Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum and Tim Pawlenty stand up and speak out. These individuals have Sarah to thank for leading the way to doing what is right.

While Sarah is not afraid to go against her party, when she sees that the party is moving in the wrong direction, she is also not afraid to stand with her party when she sees that it is doing the right thing. This is exactly what she did this past Friday when she posted a note on Facebook encouraging individuals to listen to the Republican Party's Saturday Address by House Minority Leader John Boehner. Like us, Sarah knows that health care reform is needed (Medicare and Medicaid reform is necessary as well), but the Democratic Party is going about reform the wrong way. She stands with Republicans agreeing that free-market principles like Tort Reform, purchasing health insurance across state lines, reigning in malpractice lawsuits and allowing individuals to, according to Boehner, "pool together" to buy insurance at lower prices are some of the options. Unlike the outrageous provisions sought by the Democrats, these are real solutions that will not only drive down health care costs, but also allow people to have choice when it comes to their health care decisions without government interference. The government is the problem, not the solution. I sure as hell don't want the government controlling my health care decision. Do you?

Like the good parent she is, Sarah is not afraid to chastise her party when it does wrong and praise it when it does right. What an awesome woman! As I have repeatedly noted, the Republican Party finds itself out in the wilderness. While they are out in the wilderness, Sarah is waiting at home with the porch light on, and she is going to do everything in her power to help her party see the light. In praising Boehner and the Republican Party, she seemed to be saying, "I will stand with my party when it does the right thing, but I will also call my party out when it veers away from its conservative principles." Way to go, Sarah! When so many make the mistake of following the herd, you take a different path, the right path. You illustrate that the status quo is not always the right option. On the contrary, most of the time it is the wrong option. You are not afraid to stand up and speak out, which is so refreshing and http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifinspiring. With Sarah leading the way, America will once again see the Republican Party that accomplished so much during the years of Ronald Reagan. America will prosper once again as long as we as conservatives stand together and hold the Republican Party accountable. Dede Scozzafava learned a valuable lesson this past week. She learned that if you turn on the conservative base, you will not succeed and win the war. Let's hope others will to Scozzafava, the candidate, as an example of what happens when you turn on the all-too-important conservative base. Sarah knows this, and you and I know this too.

Palin's Principles Prevail as Scozzafava Steps Aside

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

Dede Scozzafava, Republican Candidate for the NY 23rd Congressional District, has now withdrawn from the race, as reported first by Robert Stacy McCain.

As you recall, Monday I posted an article called "Sarah Palin: Principles Over Party? In a New York Minute!" I discussed the fact that Scozzafava was not a candidate representing true conservative values, which is why Sarah Palin endorsed Conservative-Party candidate Doug Hoffman. Governor Palin chose principles over party. Others, including Fred Thompson, Rick Santorum, and Tim Pawlenty also made that choice, while Newt Gingrich chose to endorse Scozzafava, offering lame excuses, and Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee chose to say nothing at all.

This is what sets people like Sarah Palin apart from other politicians. Palin's endorsement created a stir, as everything she says always does. Gingrich said that as an outsider Palin and others had no right to go against the wishes of the GOP in New York who chose the candidate they wanted. Other talking-heads said that Hoffman's running on the Conservative ticket would only split the vote and ensure a victory for Democrat Bill Owens; to these confused souls, Palin would say this, as she wrote in her endorsement note on Facebook:

Unfortunately, the Republican Party today has decided to choose a candidate who more than blurs the lines, and there is no real difference between the Democrat and the Republican in this race.

Somehow the talking-heads have missed that point.

Sarah has said time and again that Americans are tired of politics as usual. Conservatives are looking for people who will stand for something. We're seeking out those who don't sell out principles by endorsing someone who is the antithesis of what we are supposed to represent. And we are searching for leaders who don't go hide, refusing to say anything at all. We want people who will do what Governor Palin does: lay it all on the line and call it as she sees it.

Once again, she was right. She had no way of knowing the outcome; she merely acted on principles.

The race is not over. Election Day is Tuesday, and it'll be Hoffman vs. Owens. That still has to play out, but it was clear that Scozzafava was not going to win, so she pulled out, leaving a true conservative candidate in Hoffman. Sarah Palin's endorsement was one of a few important ones, but it seems to be the one that changed the face of the race. She created a shift for Hoffman--in support and finances--and she didn't wait until Hoffman had surpassed Scozzafava to do it or wait until Scozzafava backed out. Compare that to Newt Gingrich and Mike Huckabee who have now, just today, endorsed Hoffman.

Some so-called "experts" say Sarah Palin has no future in national politics and doesn't have the political savvy to be a serious force on the world stage. Well, for someone who's supposed to be the least of these, she sure is out in front, while people like Newt Gingrich and Mike Huckabee follow her lead.

Sarah Palin: Principles Over Party? In a New York Minute!

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

I'm a New Yorker, so let me chime in on this...

Last week Governor Palin endorsed the Conservative-party candidate, Doug Hoffman, over Republican, Dede Scozzafava, in the New York 23rd Congressional District. A bold move, which we should be used to by now with Sarah. The endorsement has been a conversation-piece since the moment she made it. Whereas Newt Gingrich endorsed Scozzafava, those who put their money where their mouth is could never make such an endorsement.

Regardless of the 'R' next to her name, Scozzafava is more of a Liberal than many Liberals are. She is a far cry from a true Republican standing on conservative principles. For some, that's okay, for as long as the 'R' remains by her name, they are content to lend their support. What's that all about? If we don't stand for something, what are we doing?

Apparently Newt Gingrich doesn't get it because he endorsed a woman who is certainly not abiding by the principles of the Party. And what's his attitude toward people like Sarah Palin, Fred Thompson, and Governor Pawlenty who have put principles over Party by endorsing Hoffman, a true conservative? "Mind your business!" he screams at them. Meanwhile he's not exactly minding his, for the last time I checked he did not live in New York-23.

Scozzafava is no conservative. She is a RINO (Republican in Name Only), and we can no longer afford to elect people who are not willing to stand up for the principles the people expect them to. Too much is at stake. She does not set herself apart from Democrats, so why would any Republican, who truly cares about principles, support her? It makes no sense.

However, not everyone is willing to go on record--putting their names on the line in the process--for going against "the family." Some would rather remain silent, like Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee. Perhaps they find remaining silent easier than bucking the Party for the sake of principles. But by now we ought to expect better of Sarah. She is principled, if nothing else. Remember, in Alaska she took on corrupt politicians regardless of their Party because doing the right thing is doing the right thing--PERIOD. In this case, supporting Scozzafava is not doing the right thing. Here's a woman who approved of the stimulus plan, supports abortion, and is a threat to the traditional family.

Governor Palin supports Doug Hoffman for good reasons, as noted on her Facebook page (emphasis mine):

The federal government borrows, spends, and prints too much money, while our national debt hits a record high. Government is growing while the private sector is shrinking, and unemployment is on the rise. Doug Hoffman is committed to ending the reckless spending in Washington, D.C. and the massive increase in the size and scope of the federal government. He is also fully committed to supporting our men and women in uniform as they seek to honorably complete their missions overseas.

And best of all, Doug Hoffman has not been anointed by any political machine.

Doug Hoffman stands for the principles that all Republicans should share: smaller government, lower taxes, strong national defense, and a commitment to individual liberty.

Political parties must stand for something. When Republicans were in the wilderness in the late 1970s, Ronald Reagan knew that the doctrine of "blurring the lines" between parties was not an appropriate way to win elections. Unfortunately, the Republican Party today has decided to choose a candidate who more than blurs the lines, and there is no real difference between the Democrat and the Republican in this race. This is why Doug Hoffman is running on the Conservative Party's ticket.

There's been an on-going debate about what the Republican Party must do to "right the ship." Many say we need to move further to the Left, to sell out the values upon which we have been built. In the midst of that nonsensical chit-chat, some, like Governor Palin, are standing up for principles. If that means they have to step away from a professing Republican who does not represent those principles, so be it. Again, doing the right thing is doing the right thing.

When Governor Palin announced on July 3rd that she would be stepping down from the office of governor, she expressed clearly what she would do next (emphasis mine).

And there is such a need to BUILD up and FIGHT for our state and our country. I choose to FIGHT for it! And I'll work hard for others who still believe in free enterprise and smaller government; strong national security for our country and support for our troops; energy independence; and for those who will protect freedom and equality and LIFE... I'll work for and campaign for those PROUD to be American, and those who are INSPIRED by our ideals and won't deride them.

I WILL support others who seek to serve, in or out of office, for the RIGHT reasons, and I don't care what party they're in or no party at all. Inside Alaska - or Outside Alaska.

Both the mainstream media and the "political machine" played stupid, like they couldn't figure out what Governor Palin meant. Maybe now they get the picture: She meant exactly what she said.

Sarah Thinks Outside of the Box: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

Glenn Beck is so right on so many levels. He is not only saying what so many of us feel, but he is doing so with intense courage and credibility. While watching today’s show, he discussed an issue that has been touching on my last nerve for a while now. Like many of you, I no longer identify myself as a Republican, but as a proud Conservative. The presidential election of 2008 changed any of the once-held perceptions I held regarding the so-called “Grand Old Party.” Prior to the election, I used to vote for Republicans whenever I had the chance, thinking this party had my best intentions at heart. While many members of this party, including Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, Jim DeMint, John Boehner, Mike Pence, Marsha Blackburn and others DO fight the good fight and stick to the values of conservatism, many other Republicans have lost their way. Instead of going to Washington D.C. to make it better, Washington ends up changing them; in fact, the latest Rasmussen poll shows 73% of people say the GOP has lost touch with its Republican base.

Far too often, elected officials become overwhelmed and tainted by the power and prestige that comes with holding an elected office. While the majority go to Washington with sincere, just intentions, along the way they seem to forget the job they were sent there to do. In the shuffle, they forget about you and they forget about me, which is a huge mistake given that WE are the ones who elected them in the first place. I am sick and tired of the Washington establishment acting like they care about me, when it is clearly apparent they don’t. They say one thing, yet do another. They say they are for tax cuts, but they raise our taxes. They say they are for limited government, but they help it to grow. They say they are for fiscal responsibility, but they continue to spend. They say they are in favor of energy independence, but vote against drilling for oil. They say they are against stimulus packages and bailouts, but they vote for in favor of them. You get the idea? I could go on and on.

The point I am making is that these individuals talk a good talk, but they don’t follow through and walk the good walk. This is what I admire so much about Sarah Palin. As I have written about before, what you see with Sarah is what you get. She is not afraid to actually follow through on her promises. This is so refreshing to see. It is almost as if the majority of those in Washington are in a bubble and we, the voters and their constituents, are on the outside of the bubble looking in. Within this bubble, they see the dollar signs and payouts and the lobbyists and, in turn, make their decisions solely upon issues that interest them best. There is so much that is wrong with this picture. While Sarah represents what is right, so many in her very own party have turned on her, which is just one of the many reasons our party is split. While I expected that the Democratic Party would attack Sarah on policy, I NEVER in my wildest dreams ever thought members from the party to which she belongs would turn on her as well. Remember when I told you that I don’t consider myself a Republican anymore? This is one of the prominent reasons for this.

I see the GOP as an unknown entity right now. My reasoning for this is because there are so many republicans out there who are trying to changed and tweak everything the Republican Party is based upon. I’d hate to break it to the John McCain’s or Lindsey Grahams of the Republican Party, but the Republican Party was founded on conservatism. The Republican Party I know is the party of Ronald Reagan. A party based upon limited government, fiscal responsibility, tax cuts and a strong military. Like Glenn Beck eluded to, there is another option for those who do not agree with these values and this party’s mascot is a donkey. Recently, Lindsey Graham said that in order to keep up with the times, it was crucial that the Republican Party become a “center-right party.” Now, I don’t know about you, but if Graham and others who agree with him want a center-right party, then, they should change that “R” after their names to a “D.” I am sick and tired of the Olympia Snowes and Susan Collins’. In calling themselves Republicans, they are basically lying to Americans. The Republican Party does not need any more RINOS (Republicans in Name Only).

Now, I know some of you out there might see my criticism as harsh, but I am sick and tired of the Republican Party members of both houses of Congress who have lost their way. If you need any example of the problems that come with turning into a “center-right party,” you don’t have to look any further than to the 2008 Presidential Election. The Republican Party had its most liberal candidate in history, and what happened? WE LOST. That’s right, we lost. What does this tell you? It should tell you that the more to the center the Republican Party has become, the more narrow the distinction between the Republican and Democratic parties. With John McCain, the media had the perfect candidate. The media wanted John McCain to be the Republican Party’s nominee because he’s as center-right as they come. Remember who he said was his favorite president? Teddy Roosevelt, who was a big Progressive- that tells you a lot right there. As a center-right candidate, McCain frolicked along and pretty much went whatever direction the wind blew. Don’t get me wrong, I would rather have John McCain as president because not only was the lesser of the two liberals, but we would have had Sarah as our Vice President- Sarah, who is a true Conservative Republican.

When the Republican Party drifted away from its founding principles, so did its popularity, and we see the result we are left with. The Republican Party no longer has the control of either houses of Congress, but this is beginning to change as we see more and more candidates who are running for the right reasons and sticking to the values of conservatism. A recent poll found that more individuals consider themselves conservative than liberal. This is a positive step in the right direction for conservatism as a whole. One issue that remains has to do with the fact that while we have new conservative candidates coming to the forefront, will they be able to beat the incumbent in their districts? This is why it is so important that one votes upon principle, not party.

One of the things I really admire about Sarah is that she thinks outside of the box. The reason is because she is going to support the candidate who best represents her values regardless of party. As I write this, I have just been informed via a note on Sarah’s Facebook page, in which she is throwing her support behind a candidate in the New York 23rd District Race. Sarah is choosing values and issues over party in supporting Doug Hoffman a third-party candidate from the Conservative Party. Way to go, Sarah! You are a leader, and you do walk the walk.

The Republican Party’s candidate, if you can even call her that, is Dede Scozzafava. On paper, Scozzafava looks more like a liberal Democrat, than a Republican, which is the contributing factor for her being behind Hoffman in the polls. This is a great example of how powerful the conservative movement is. I read today that many of the individuals who are volunteering for Hoffman’s campaign have never volunteered for a campaign in their lives. For the first time, they feel passionate about the values Hoffman speaks of and sincerely value the importance of conservatism. Like Sarah has so eloquently said in the past, issues matter, and New York’s 23rd District Race is proof of this. Unlike Newt Gingrich, who supported the RINO Scozzafava, Sarah is taking a stand and doing the right thing in speaking out that conservatism matters over party.

Perhaps this is even more prevalent today with the Obama Administration. If the N.Y. 23rd District Race is any indication, the seats congressional members hold may not stay warm for long, that is, if our elected officials don’t hold true to the values and platform that helped them get elected. Voters are standing up and speaking out, and they are DEFINITELY tired of the politics as usual. While President Obama repeatedly spoke of bringing people together, he has done nothing of the sort. I’m tired of the hype and pain. It’s time to rise up and let our voices be heard in the form of electing leaders who stand for conservatism, for we are the party of Ronald Reagan- the party of freedom and liberty. Below is Sarah's most recent Facebook Note regarding the New York 23rd District Race:

Support Doug Hoffman

The people of the 23rd Congressional District of New York are ready to shake things up, and Doug Hoffman is coming on strong as Election Day approaches! He needs our help now.

The votes of every member of Congress affect every American, so it's important for all of us to pay attention to this important Congressional campaign in upstate New York. I am very pleased to announce my support for Doug Hoffman in his fight to be the next Representative from New York's 23rd Congressional district. It's my honor to endorse Doug and to do what I can to help him win, including having my political action committee, SarahPAC, donate to his campaign the maximum contribution allowed by law.

Our nation is at a crossroads, and this is once again a "time for choosing."

Republicans and conservatives around the country are sending an important message to the Republican establishment in their outstanding grassroots support for Doug Hoffman: no more politics as usual.
