Governor Palin and the Presidency

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

Lately, it seems that everyone with a mic thrust before him or her gets asked, "Is Sarah Palin qualified to be president?" As a colleague said recently, Palin seems to be the only name attached to the end of that question. First of all, did Governor Palin announce she's running and I somehow missed it? Furthermore, are not other perceived presidential candidates subject to the same evaluation? So what's with the qualified question? Is it the fact that she's a woman? Is it her Alaska upbringing? Is it the five kids? What gives?

Surely, anyone who is even vaguely familiar with Governor Palin's accomplishments knows that she is indeed qualified to be President of the United States. Only those who have bought into the butcher job the lamestream media has done on her, and those who have not been paying any attention at all, think otherwise. Governor Palin is multi-faceted. She's most accomplished in a plethora of areas. If you're not informed, you can get an idea of her public sector accomplishments achieved while serving as a city council member, mayor, governor, and an oil and gas conservation regulator. You can know her private sector accomplishments as a sportscaster and a business woman. You can even learn her personal accomplishments achieved in the areas of athletics, hunting, and, of course, her family life. Click here to be educated on the real Governor Palin and her outstanding record in all these areas and more.

While not saying she is definitely running, Governor Palin has left the door wide open. The last couple times she's been asked about 2012, she has given the same answer. Just as recently as this past Wednesday, in fact, she said, "I'll run for president if the American people want me to."

As for the issue of her qualification, Mark Levin states emphatically that not only is Governor Palin qualified to lead this country, she's more than qualified. Listen to what he had to say below:

Governor Palin has been serving effectively long before most of us ever heard her name. And since coming into the American spotlight, she has had tremendous impact on a wide range of issues impacting this country. It has cost her and her family greatly, but she has made that sacrifice because of her love for America and her belief in America's God-ordained exceptionalism. So yes, she is qualified to be President of the United States, and she has the heart to fight for this country we all love.

Governor, you say you will run if the American people want you to. We, the people, want you to. So go for it!

This is still Reagan Country

Governor Palin today posted on Facebook:

Just woke this morning in Bakersfield to see that the local newspaper, The Californian, has endorsed Carly Fiorina. Check out the article here to see why Carly is the best choice for California. And please check out the campaign website for Star Parker who is running for Congress from California’s 37th district. I’m in Bakersfield today for the Bakersfield Business Conference, and tonight I’ll be in San Diego for an event for the Combat Veterans For Congress.

California is at a major crossroad in this election, and the eyes of the nation are on this state because the Golden State has unfortunately become a case study in failed liberal policies. This great state for generations has been the epitome of America’s optimism and entrepreneurial spirit. It has led the nation in agriculture, technology, and entertainment. But for years now California has been over-taxed, over-regulated, and overwhelmed by an ever increasing government bureaucracy. Sound familiar? California can turn this around, and so can America. It starts in November. This is still Reagan Country!

Mark Levin - Palin's More than Qualified to be President

Palin More than Qualified to be President retrieved from PalinTV.

Mark Levin said that Gov. Palin is "more than qualified" to be President, and "not just technically" on his October 7, 2010 radio show. He said that she is more qualified than Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and Al Gore. He described Obama as a "screw-up" who is "decimating our country," and said the "hate-on" against Gov. Palin is a "sick obsession."

Gov. Palin has nearly 20 years of executive experience in positions of increasing responsibility both in the public and private sectors. As Governor, she held command over the 49th Missile Defense Battalion and the Alaska Defense Forces. As Governor, she also was deeply involved with international trade and foreign policy; meetings with consuls, diplomats, and foreign leaders were routine business for her.

Nicole Coulter provided an excellent synopsis of Gov. Palin's qualifications here.

Governor Palin Speaks to Christian Women in San Antonio

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

Last night, Governor Palin spoke at a Women of Joy event in San Antonio, Texas. She addressed a large audience of Christian women. A friend of mine was among them and remarked how encouraging the message was and what an impact it had. Apparently, the Governor discussed being an overcomer rather than a victim. In her typical ability to make light of situations, she also joked about the ridiculous rumors that she and Todd were headed for divorce court.

Greg Jefferson of My San Antonio News covered the event. He reported some background information:

Organized by the Alabama-based Phil Waldrep Evangelistic Association, the event runs through Sunday.

Waldrep said in a written statement that the event was meant to be nonpolitical.

“It is simply a gathering for Christian women to rejoice in their faith, renew their spirits and fellowship with their sisters in Christ,” he said.

But as he introduced Palin at 8:20 p.m., Waldrep told the revving crowd that Palin “is committed to biblical truths” and that he believed “God has raised her up for this moment.”

Concerning Governor Palin's speech itself, Jefferson wrote:

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin thrilled a crowd of evangelical women Friday night in San Antonio, spiking her talk on overcoming obstacles with barbed references to the media and her critics.

Instead of delving into the conservative, tea party-tinged politics she is known for, Palin largely focused on the themes of religious faith and family. The GOP's 2008 vice presidential candidate offered no hint of whether she is looking to run for president in 2012.

Still, she took a veiled swipe at President Barack Obama, telling the audience, “All of you (are) just proudly clinging to your guns and religion.” She was referring to comments Obama made during a fundraiser in 2008.

Palin then turned to the idea of American exceptionalism.

“Being an American means being exceptional because God shed his grace on this country,” Palin said, drawing a burst of applause. “Being an American is nothing to apologize for.”

Her nearly hourlong talk was the main event of the Women of Joy conference's opening night at the Convention Center.

She also talked about the challenges of having a son, Trig, with Down syndrome, and how religion helped her come to terms with it.

But she won some of her most boisterous cheers when she turned her sights on the media. Directly addressing a cluster of television cameramen and reporters, she complained about her treatment at the hands of journalists and said: “May you be touched, may you be blessed with God's spirit.”

Insinuating that her words almost certainly would be wrenched out of context, she said she looked to the audience for support.

“I've got 4,000 Christian women who have my back.”
I wasn't in the audience last night, but I'm definitely one Christian woman who has Governor Palin's back. Her fight for this nation comes from a deep belief that God has truly placed His hands on America, called America to greatness, and therefore, America is worth standing up for--and so she does. I stand with her.
