Sarah Palin to Be Featured Speaker at Banquet in Salina, Kansas

On Monday, November 3, the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce announced that Governor Sarah Palin will be the keynote speaker for their Chamber Annual Banquet & Membership Meeting. This event will take place on February 5, 2010. It starts at 6:30 pm and will be held in the Salina Bicentennial Center arena. Tickets to the event will be sold first to members of the Chamber. Then beginning on December 2, the remaining tickets will be available to the public.

On Monday, Craig Andres at KSN3 wrote:
Big news was announced Monday as a big name is heading to Kansas. Sarah Palin is
set to speak in the state and some might be surprised at who landed the big get.

The Salina Chamber’s Annual Banquet is known for attracting big names
from former presidents to foreign dignitaries and sports legends. But this year,
they’re bringing in someone at the center of America’s current political
landscape.

With her recent resignation as Alaska’s governor and a highly anticipated book coming out next month, the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce says Palin is perfect for its Annual Banquet.

“Still, what Sarah Palin seems to be doing is news throughout the country, we think it will be an evening where people show up and they maybe don't quite understand what's going to be talked about and that should be interesting,” said Daran Neuschafer, chairman for the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce.

The February banquet, and specifically who the speaker will be, is something residents like Dennis Collier say they look forward to.

“Sarah Palin has the ability to excite people at large whether you're a Republican or a Democrat or Independent and you don't know what Sarah Palin is going to do next,” said Collier. “She was Governor and then she resigned and now she's here in Salina.”

On Tuesday, Becky Tanner at the Wichita Eagle wrote:

"She is interesting and in high demand," said Salina Chamber president Dennis
Lauver.

"Whether you love her or disagree with her, we think the response
will be great."

Lauver said Palin was clearly identified as a front-runner early in the chamber's speaker selection process. In past years, the banquet has featured Bob Costas, Cal Ripken Jr., Dr. Joyce Brothers, Colin Powell and former President George H. W. Bush.

According to Dennis Lauver, the Chamber's President and CEO, ticket sales are “exceptionally brisk." Most likely, the main floor tickets will sell out to chamber members today, leaving gallery tickets available to nonmembers. Nonmembers who contact the Chamber are being put on a waiting list. Pricing and contact information for obtaining tickets is available on the Chamber website at http://salinakansas.org/Sarah_Palin.pdf.

According to the website, Governor Palin is represented by the Washington Speakers Bureau.

Rebirth, Forging, and Breaking Glass

Never again...

The death of McCain-Pain 2008 was the birth of Sarah 2012...

Defeat can lead to victory; progress may be circuitous, not in a straight line (Hilley, 2008, p. 163)

Her enemies thought they could destroy her...

...with a full-court hostile press, character assassination, hate, and vitriol...

...frivolous ethics complaints, and attempts to break her family asunder....

...they never realized the gift they gave her: Shugyo -- severe training...

Press experience, that millions of dollars in consultations and simulations cannot buy.

They forged and tempered her steel....

Executive experience, command experience, financial administration...

...Transformational Leadership, and the ability to withstand any media attack...

...she is laser polished.

She has been summoned and is ready...we wait for her to beckon us home....

The world will tremble beneath her sonic boom...

The last glass ceiling will be smashed from above....

...Followed by a High-G Vertical Climb...because she can...

Excelsior -- Ever Upward.

Sarah Palin: The Cause Goes On

Fresh from Wasilla:

A Victory for Common Sense and Fiscal Sanity

Congratulations to the new Governors-Elect of Virginia and New Jersey! I’d also like to offer a special word of support to the new Lieutenant Governor-Elect of New Jersey, Kim Guadagno, the first woman to hold that office.

Of course, the real victors in this election are the ordinary men and women who voted for positive change and a return to fiscal sanity. Your voices have been heard.

The race for New York’s 23rd District is not over, just postponed until 2010. The issues of this election have always centered on the economy – on the need for fiscal restraint, smaller government, and policies that encourage jobs. In 2010, these issues will be even more crucial to the electorate. I commend Doug Hoffman and all the other under-dog candidates who have the courage to put themselves out there and run against the odds.

To the tireless grassroots patriots who worked so hard in that race and to future citizen-candidates like Doug, please remember Reagan’s words of encouragement after his defeat in 1976:

"The cause goes on. Don't get cynical because look at yourselves and what you were willing to do, and recognize that there are millions and millions of Americans out there that want what you want, that want it to be that way, that want it to be a shining city on a hill."

The cause goes on.

- Sarah Palin

Hard to add to such eloquent words from both Palin and Reagan. Tonight was a great night. Obama style hopenchange was wildly rejected by voters in Virginia, where Conservatives swept in a land slide. And in New Jersey, where Obama himself campaigned on six different trips, the very blue state went red in a big way.

I don’t have video of Doug Hoffman’s concession speech yet, but I saw it on a live feed from the local television station. Very upbeat:

"This one was worth the fight," "This is only one fight in the battle."

____Doug Hoffman

His supporters were very upbeat as well. One supporter was heard to say: "Twelve Months."

Hoffman and Conservatives around the nation sent a clear message to the GOP. No more squishes! Voters in NJ and Virginia sent a strong message to Barack Obama and the radical democrat/communist party as well.

The cause goes on.

KNOW, Not No! A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

I love what a congressman said recently. He said the Republican Party IS the party of know, that's K-N-O-W! Well, I have to agree that at least one prominent Republican Party member knows what's going on: Sarah Palin. I wanted to write a short random thought post today to salute Sarah as an individual who truly knows what is going on. She realizes what so many have yet to understand: Values matter over party.

On this mid-term election day, there are elections happening in many states throughout the country, but the most talked-about elections are occurring in Virginia, New York and New Jersey. Sarah has let her opinion be known, and once again, the media have turned her endorsements into an opportunity to criticize her. I get a kick how msm networks like MSNBC are looking at Sarah as interfering with the elections in endorsing candidates when politicians do this each and everyday. Although you and I know this to be the case, there is just something about Sarah that sets people on fire.

Sarah is a game changer, pure and simple. It is because of Sarah that Doug Hoffman is doing so well. While he speaks the message of conservative values and common sense, it wasn't until Sarah endorsed him that the entire country became fired up. People opened up their wallets and flocked to New York to volunteer, which not only speaks volumes regarding the power Sarah has, but to the power the conservative message is beginning to have across the country. While networks like MSNBC may try everything in their power to say Sarah should stay out of elections in the lower 48, we know better. Rush Limbaugh put it best on today's show when he said the reason why the msm and liberal Democrats want her to keep her mouth shut is because they fear her; it's as simple as that.

You just watch to see what happens tonight. I'm predicting that if the Republican Party and the Conservative Party are successful, the msm will do two things. They will try to spin it that the Republican Party is split between the moderates and conservatives, and they will blame people like Sarah, whom they like to call "extremists" or "purists" for this. Little do they know that we are on to their game. They would rather Sarah just stay up in Alaska and as radical, liberal, loon blogger extraordinaire, Shannyn Moore, recently put it "bake cookies and take care of the kids." I'd hate to tell Shannyn and her fellow liberal daycare center buddies that Sarah isn't going anywhere; on the contrary, she's here to stay!!!

Today's election is further proof of just how powerful and in-the-"KNOW" Sarah is. People are sick and tired of the Washington as usual political climate. Although the Democrats will still be in control of both houses of Congress and the White House come tomorrow, today's election may foreshadow what could happen come 2010 and 2012. It is important that we stick to our conservative principles because if we do, we will not falter, and we will not fail. While the Republican Party should be open to anyone, the party should in no way, shape or form change its values or principles. The Republican Party needs to return to the principles that made it the great party it was under Ronald Reagan.

It is crucial that the Republican Party finds its way back home, for its success is riding on it. Sarah is the Ronald Reagan of my generation, and I know that with her at the helm of the conservative movement, America will prosper and flourish, and, fellow readers, I have a feeling that what happens today is just the beginning of a conservative movement that will only get bigger and, in turn, conquer in the end.

Sarah Palin Is Ready For A Road Trip!

Hot off the wire, Sarah is ready to rock and roll and get out there on her national book tour:

Road Trip! Book Tour Announcement

I am very, very excited about the upcoming road trip for my book. It will be an honor to meet as many of you as possible!

"Going Rogue" publisher HarperCollins is working hard to schedule book signings across the nation, and we’ll be announcing the locations in the next day or two. I’ve decided to travel to cities outside of the typical book tour venues, and I hope to cover as much of the country as I can.

We’re in the process of arranging interviews with local and national media. An interview with Oprah Winfrey is already scheduled, and I’m also hoping to have the opportunity to talk with Bill O’Reilly, Barbara Walters, Sean Hannity, Greta Van Susteren, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, Dennis Miller, Tammy Bruce, and others, including local Alaska personalities Bob & Mark and Eddie Burke. (Variety is the spice of life!)

Can’t wait to hit the road. Can’t wait to see you!

Update: Sarah Palin & Election Day Reminder

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

Today is Election Day, and the eyes of the nation have been on three important races in particular: the race in the NY 23rd Congressional District, the gubernatorial race in New Jersey, and the gubernatorial race in Virginia.

Yesterday, via Facebook, Sarah Palin implored: "Hoffman, Baby, Hoffman!" We already know the impact Palin has had on that race. After her endorsement of Doug Hoffman, support for him poured in, and Dede Scozzafava stepped aside.

Also yesterday, in support of Bob McDonnell in Virginia--although independent of his campaign--Governor Palin made robocalls. Listen to the call below, in which she says:

Virginia, hello, this is Sarah Palin calling to urge you to go to the polls Tuesday and vote to share our principles. The eyes of America will be on Virigina and make no mistake about it, every vote counts. So don't take anything for granted, vote your values on Tuesday, and urge your friends and family to vote, too. Thank you.
(h/t C4P)

Finally, concerning New Jersey, in her endorsement of Chris Christie, Palin predicts;

Watch New Jersey's economy come alive under new leadership that will put government back on the side of the people! Chris Christie promises this new leadership.

While our eyes are on these three races, which have huge importance to our nation, do not fail to see the importance of your local races. Votes for highway superintendent and city councilman may not receive the same publicity as the races for Congress and governor, but they are still important. So exercise your right today.

UPDATE: Via Governor Palin's Facebook page:

It's Imperative That We Exercise Our Right to Vote Today

“...the right which woman needed above every other, the one indeed which would secure to her all the others, was the right of suffrage.”

Susan B. Anthony used those words to describe the cause she spent her life fighting for: the right of an American woman to cast a ballot for the candidate of her choice. Because of Susan B. Anthony’s tireless efforts and the courage and dedication of countless others, millions of American women will head to the polls today to exercise their right to vote.

When we consider the sacrifices made to give us this right, there is simply no excuse not to vote.

Today, the eyes of the nation are drawn in particular to the three big elections occurring on the east coast. New Jersey and Virginia will be electing new governors, and the 23rd Congressional District of New York will be sending a new representative to Washington D.C. The choices are clear in all three races.

In New York’s 23rd Congressional District race, Doug Hoffman represents the return of the ordinary citizen-politician who is dedicated to bringing fiscal sanity back to Washington, D.C. Doug’s message of cutting spending, lowering taxes, and ending the outrageous growth in the size and scope of the federal government has resonated throughout his district and the country. Voting for Doug Hoffman will send an important message to the powers that be: no more politics as usual.

The governor’s race in New Jersey is a referendum on the failed fiscal policies of the state’s current governor. New Jersey suffers under the highest tax burden in the nation – a burden which has caused many New Jerseyans to leave their home state for better economic prospects elsewhere. Chris Christie is dedicated to ending the reckless spending, the tax hikes, and the corruption that has plagued New Jersey for far too long. A vote for Chris Christie as the next governor of New Jersey will help to lead this great state – “The Crossroads of the Revolution” – back to prosperity.

In Virginia, Bob McDonnell’s commitment to lower taxes and fiscal responsibility make him the common sense choice in the governor’s race. If Bob’s honorable military service and track record as Virginia’s Attorney General are any indications of how he will handle the governorship, then it is safe to say that Virginians have an easy choice to make today.

Candidates like Doug Hoffman, Chris Christie, and Bob McDonnell represent common sense answers to the troubling economic questions facing our nation. They are a vote for fiscal sanity and for leaving our children an American future as bright and as promising as the one our parents left for us.

Please take time today to exercise the right that so many people fought to secure for us. In considering these east coast races, it occurred to me that Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and so many of the women who fought to give future generations the right to vote hailed from these states.

Vote today in honor of our past and with hope for our future.
