2010: The Year Conservatism Reigns: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

Wow, what a year 2009 has been! I'm sure I don't have to tell you how much our country has changed within the past year. Like many of you, I look to 2010 with the hopes that conservatism will prevail. I guarantee this year's mid-term elections are going to be a big indicator of just how big of an impact the conservative movement is going to have on our country, and let me tell you something, the tea parties and town hall meetings are just the beginning. In 2010, I have a feeling the so-called "tea party movement" is only going to get stronger. This movement has the power to transform our country back to the days of fiscal conservatism, fiscal restraint. I couldn't be prouder of the everyday men and women who have decided enough is enough and are now taking a stand, and I say "Thank you to you all; keep up all the hard work. We ARE being heard!!!" Continue to stand up, and continue to speak out. Don't let the left define you as simply an "angry mob." We are not a mob, but; instead, we are a conservative army!

My life has changed a lot within the last year. Last year at this time, I definitely did not see myself where I am today. Over the course of a year, I started a blog, became the San Diego Regional Organizer for the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee and a political analyst for various radio shows. I want to thank Eddie Burke of Alaska's 700 KBYR, Jason and Phil of Orlando's 660 WORL Tea Party Radio, April Liesel of Pro-Sarah Radio, and Martha Cano of Join Team Sarah Radio for giving me the opportunity to stand up and speak out in the name of conservatism. I couldn't be more excited for the doors the good Lord has opened for me. Never in my wildest dreams did I see myself looking at politics as a career. Last year, if anyone would have told me that, I definitely would have said "That's crazy!" Now, I thrive on politics. Many of you will think I'm some nerdy girl when I tell you how much politics excites me, and I don't blame you because, to be honest, I probably would have thought that a year ago too.

I have had the pleasure of getting to know so many people. As I have mentioned before, I will forever be grateful to Sarah Palin for bringing us all together. Sarah is an amazing woman who I believe is the future of America. She has the intellect, charisma, poise and sheer grit and determination to get the job done. A year ago, I never thought I would have the chance to meet her and her family. I am so excited I had the distinct pleasure of meeting them earlier this month in Reno, Nevada. It has been my pleasure to spread her commonsense message and to report the truth, which is something the msm are not doing. I am not alone, for there are several members of Sarah's Army out there. We will continue to support her and her entire family.

And last, but certainly not least, I want to thank you all for taking the time to read my blog; it means so much to me!!! You all are great Americans, and I will forever be grateful to you all for your kind words of support and encouragement!!! Again, thank you all. I want to wish you and your family a very prosperous New Year. God bless you and yours, and continue to keep up the good fight fellow patriots.

NOTE: I WANT TO GIVE A BIG SHOUT OUT TO TEXAS 4 PALIN FOR AWARDING MY BLOG THE "BEST NEW BLOG OF 2009" AWARD!!! I AM HONORED AND HUMBLED FOR THIS ACKNOWLEDGEMENT! THANK YOU SO MUCH, GOD BLESS!!! CLICK HERE TO READ ABOUT THE AWARDS!!!

On Determining Palin’s Political Future

By Shane Vander Hart, Caffeinated Thoughts

Reeling Conservatives Everybody has an opinion, and 2012 is still three years away.  Oh but how we love to speculate.  The lamestream media reaches opposite conclusions when they try to strain a gnat over what Governor Palin has said or hasn’t said about 2012.  Speculation can be fun, and I do think the 2012 race will be incredibly interesting.

As far as Sarah Palin is concerned, after watching or listening to several of her many interviews last week, and what I’ve read so far in Going Rogue: An American Life (review coming soon) I see someone who has not decided.  She isn’t focused on 2012, but she isn’t closing the door.

We’ve got the 2010 elections to focus on first, and all indications are (read: that is what she has said) that is what is on her radar when her book tour ends.  Some desire to close the door on her running in 2012 by being petty, and that can be seen in a piece that Peter Wallsten wrote for the Wall Street Journal:

Ms. Palin's book tour includes a Dec. 6 stop in Sioux City, Iowa. But she declined an invitation to appear at a Nov. 21 fund-raiser for the conservative Iowa Family Policy Center, which had reserved a Des Moines sports arena in anticipation of her attendance.

"All these other national figures are coming here to help us, and she's coming here to sell books," said an Iowa Republican official.

Added Michael Dennehy, a Republican consultant who worked for 2008 nominee John McCain: "People are anxious to see what she's going to do, but at this point there's no evidence of Sarah Palin organizing in New Hampshire or having any interest in organizing."

Let me respond to this bit of “analysis.”  First it is 2009.  Secondly the IFPC event “controversy” was a contrived one.  Thirdly, the anonymous Iowa Republican official (who had better hope and pray I don’t find out his or her identity) just sounds like a complete whiner (probably a Mittwit).  She’s already said she plans to come to Iowa to speak to IFPC, and told the Republican Party of Iowa that she would love to come here.  This “official” is basically complaining that it isn’t being done on his or her timeframe.  So sorry that she had contractual obligations, and sorry that you have something against capitalism.  Are you in the right party?  I mean really, complaining that she is selling books?  Fourth, she just left office in late July, just completed her book, and then will finish with this book tour.  Then she has said she’ll focus on 2010.

2012?  Who knows, but to determine whether she is running or not in 2012 based on not being organized in 2009 is incredibly premature.

KNOW, Not No! A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

I love what a congressman said recently. He said the Republican Party IS the party of know, that's K-N-O-W! Well, I have to agree that at least one prominent Republican Party member knows what's going on: Sarah Palin. I wanted to write a short random thought post today to salute Sarah as an individual who truly knows what is going on. She realizes what so many have yet to understand: Values matter over party.

On this mid-term election day, there are elections happening in many states throughout the country, but the most talked-about elections are occurring in Virginia, New York and New Jersey. Sarah has let her opinion be known, and once again, the media have turned her endorsements into an opportunity to criticize her. I get a kick how msm networks like MSNBC are looking at Sarah as interfering with the elections in endorsing candidates when politicians do this each and everyday. Although you and I know this to be the case, there is just something about Sarah that sets people on fire.

Sarah is a game changer, pure and simple. It is because of Sarah that Doug Hoffman is doing so well. While he speaks the message of conservative values and common sense, it wasn't until Sarah endorsed him that the entire country became fired up. People opened up their wallets and flocked to New York to volunteer, which not only speaks volumes regarding the power Sarah has, but to the power the conservative message is beginning to have across the country. While networks like MSNBC may try everything in their power to say Sarah should stay out of elections in the lower 48, we know better. Rush Limbaugh put it best on today's show when he said the reason why the msm and liberal Democrats want her to keep her mouth shut is because they fear her; it's as simple as that.

You just watch to see what happens tonight. I'm predicting that if the Republican Party and the Conservative Party are successful, the msm will do two things. They will try to spin it that the Republican Party is split between the moderates and conservatives, and they will blame people like Sarah, whom they like to call "extremists" or "purists" for this. Little do they know that we are on to their game. They would rather Sarah just stay up in Alaska and as radical, liberal, loon blogger extraordinaire, Shannyn Moore, recently put it "bake cookies and take care of the kids." I'd hate to tell Shannyn and her fellow liberal daycare center buddies that Sarah isn't going anywhere; on the contrary, she's here to stay!!!

Today's election is further proof of just how powerful and in-the-"KNOW" Sarah is. People are sick and tired of the Washington as usual political climate. Although the Democrats will still be in control of both houses of Congress and the White House come tomorrow, today's election may foreshadow what could happen come 2010 and 2012. It is important that we stick to our conservative principles because if we do, we will not falter, and we will not fail. While the Republican Party should be open to anyone, the party should in no way, shape or form change its values or principles. The Republican Party needs to return to the principles that made it the great party it was under Ronald Reagan.

It is crucial that the Republican Party finds its way back home, for its success is riding on it. Sarah is the Ronald Reagan of my generation, and I know that with her at the helm of the conservative movement, America will prosper and flourish, and, fellow readers, I have a feeling that what happens today is just the beginning of a conservative movement that will only get bigger and, in turn, conquer in the end.
