Levi Johnston Apologizes for Lying about Palins

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

Levi Johnston, according to People magazine, has demonstrated some maturity and apologized to the Palin family for the lies he told about them. I believe in giving credit where credit is due. As hard as I came down on Levi for his despicable behavior, I certainly want to commend him for manning up now and admitting that he was lying.

I have always said that there is hope for Levi and that he needs prayer. In spite of going from feeling sorry for him that he didn't have a role model in his life to direct him to being quite angry with what he was doing to the Palins, I have always envisioned that he would wake up at some point and see that the error of his ways had caused his beautiful son and him a world of hurt, and that he would apologize. In fact, less than three weeks ago, when news surfaced that Bristol and Levi were working on moving forward as parents--not romantic partners--I wrote (emphasis added):

Now, as late in the game as it is, he appears to have seen the error of his ways and wants to do right by his son. For Tripp's sake, that makes me extremely glad. In the spirit of wiping the slate clean, however, I hope he will make a public apology to the Palins. That, of course, would be a true lesson in repentance and humility, a lesson that would mean quite a bit to his son in the years to come.

So what did Levi say in that public apology? Eunice Oh and Sandra Sobieraj Westfall of People.com report the following:

"Last year, after Bristol and I broke up, I was unhappy and a little angry. Unfortunately, against my better judgment, I publicly said things about the Palins that were not completely true," [Levi] tells PEOPLE exclusively. "I have already privately apologized to Todd and Sarah. Since my statements were public, I owe it to the Palins to publicly apologize."

[...]

"So to the Palin family in general and to Sarah Palin in particular, please accept my regrets and forgive my youthful indiscretion," Johnston says in the statement. "I hope one day to restore your trust."

I wonder if members of the Lame Stream Media who, in their desperate unending obsession to find dirt on Governor Palin, were so very glad to have him tell his story to the world will run with this story and clear her name. I won't hold my breath, but perhaps some will surprise me. I wonder if the We Hate Sarah Palin Bloggers Club who harassed, slandered, accused me of inciting murder, threatened to call law enforcement on me, and promised to contact my employer when I wrote "Levi: When Lying Dogs Won't Sleep," will write that Levi confessed that he, in fact, had been lying. But again, I won't hold my breath. You can read what I've previously written about Levi's dishonesty here and here.

For Levi's own sake, Bristol's sake, and of course, the sake of their son, Tripp, I am very happy he did the right thing and confessed the truth. For Governor Palin, I am also glad, for she deserves much better than what the young man had thrown her way. I don't know Levi's heart or where his true motives rest. I do know, however, that he owed the Palin family a public apology. I'm glad he gave it.

Bristol and Levi: Getting Along as Parents, Not Partners

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

Ron Devito covered this story here, and I will simply add my two cents:

News has emerged that Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston are moving forward and working together. That's all the talking heads need to hear and then they take off running with it--and get the information wrong.

Everyone wants something juicy to report. For example, "Good Morning America" and "The Early Show" quote a so-called source who said Bristol and Levi are spending a lot of time together and are a couple again. As usual, these outlets can't seem to discern fact from fiction. So let's set the record straight.

Radar Online got it right when they reported (emphasis added):

Sarah Palin’s daughter, Bristol, and their one-time outspoken nemesis Levi Johnston are back together—but just as co-parents to son Tripp, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

19-year-old Bristol Palin told RadarOnline.com, "Levi and me are co-parents of Tripp and we are actively working on being good parents together."

What this means is two people who brought a beautiful baby boy into the world are doing what's best for their son. Of course, Bristol has been taking care of Tripp all along, and has done so under difficult circumstances. Levi, on the other hand, was bad-mouthing his son's family, particularly Tripp's grandmother, and he was dodging his financial responsibilities. I wrote then about Levi's "triflin'" ways here and expressed hope that he would take a turn for the better:

I believe there's hope for Levi; I really do. And I hope he grabs ahold of it soon because he's treading on very thin Alaska ice.

Now, as late in the game as it is, he appears to have seen the error of his ways and wants to do right by his son. For Tripp's sake, that makes me extremely glad. In the spirit of wiping the slate clean, however, I hope he will make a pubic apology to the Palins. That, of course, would be a true lesson in repentance and humility, a lesson that would mean quite a bit to his son in the years to come.

Perhaps young men could learn something from this experience and choose to "man up" right from the start. Levi's actions were detrimental to his family, and right now he seems to want to turn that around. What everyone should be doing is wishing him and Bristol well as parents who want what's best for their son, not being gossipmongers who twist a sound parental decision into something romantic, which it is not.

My Phenomenal Alaska Trip: Part Two: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

I arrived back home in San Diego early Sunday morning. The following is my latest blog post that I wrote while still in Alaska. Enjoy…

As I continue to share with you my adventures in Alaska, the last frontier, I continually find myself witnessing some of the greatest wonders of this God-created world. Everywhere I look- whether it be at a simple, pink flower blooming in someone’s front yard, to the moose chewing grass along the highway- I am captivated by this state and all she has to offer. If you live or have visited Alaska, you know the beauty I am speaking of, and for those of you who have not yet visited, there is no better time than now. After all, what could be better than sitting outside on a deck, with a glass of Merlot, overlooking a lake at 10:30 p.m. while STILL wearing sunglasses? Yep, only in Alaska my friends.

Since my last blog post, a lot has happened. I continue to have a wonderful time meeting and getting to know new friends, and I cannot wait to meet many more people before I travel back to San Diego. There have been many highlights over the course of the last couple of days and many memories have been made. It was so fun to get my hair done at the Beehive Beauty Shop by the shop’s owner and my friend Jessica Steele (pictured at right in the purple). Jessica is the sweetest, most genuine person you will ever meet. She is truly as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. There is just something very special about salons that bring out the ultimate “girly girl” in me. I have always had a blast sitting down at the salon and just talking girl talk. I also met, Chris (pictured with me to the right), who is doing his training to be a hairstylist at the 'hive. Chris recently moved from San Diego to Alaska, and it was fun to talk San Diego with him. I had fun dishing and discussing everything from reality shows to hair and beauty tips. The Beehive is decorated phenomenally. Everything from the antique chandeliers (a staple of Louisiana signifying Jessica’s place of birth) to the beautifully decorated pink, black and white color scheme definitely gives the salon its “it factor.” As soon as you walk into this shop, you know you have come to the right place- it’s that cool. I decided to let Jessica work her magic like only she can (She is Sarah Palin’s hairdresser after all), and she gave me the cutest, sassiest pixie cut. (Thanks to my awesome friend, Tracey Porreca, for taking the awesome photos.) I cannot tell you how many compliments I have been getting for my hair. Jessica is THAT good!!! Thanks, Jess. You’re amazing, and I love my hair.

The girl talk didn’t end at the salon, but instead continued into the night as Jessica, Krisha, Kristina, Tracey, Shelia and I had dinner at the Settler’s Bay Lodge. It was definitely like a mini “Tweet Up.” One of the best parts of the dinner conversation had to do with the fact that the restaurant we dined at had the most to-die-for butter. I’m not talking about your average butter here. On the contrary, I’m talking about the best blend of butter, bacon and spices that your own grandmother would have to work years to perfect. I think it’s safe to say that we had more than our fair share of bread and that yummy butter that evening.
My sister, Krisha, Kristina and I also had the awesome privilege of attending Ericka Burke’s wedding. Ericka is the youngest child of Eddie (who’s running for Alaska’s lieutenant governor) and Linda Burke. We had a blast at the wedding. It was such a great atmosphere, and it was clear everyone had an awesome time. It was fun to laugh, dance and just hang with some of the coolest Alaskans you will ever have the chance to meet. I must say that the Burke family KNOWS how to have a good time!!! Eddie, Linda, Candice, Terrin, Eddie Jr. and his wife, Brandy, as well as Ericka and her hubby, Brown, have been great company. I told them that they are like family to me and gave Krisha and me a sense of “home” while in Alaska. It was like I was a part of their family, and I will never forget how great a time we had dancing into the night!!!On a side note: Tabloids are reporting that Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston are back together. These reports are UNTRUE. Once again, the lamestream media are reporting lies in order to denigrate the Palin family in an attempt to sell more magazines. It is no secret that many magazines and newspapers are losing large amounts of readership daily, so they have resorted to spreading lies in an attempt to keep readers. While Bristol and Levi are not back together, it is my hope that Levi will be a more active parent in his young son's life. Tripp needs both of his parents in his life. The Palin family has been more than open in their willingness for Levi to be an active dad. Levi treated the Palin family terribly, and the Palins never once publicly lashed out and attacked Levi the way he has attacked them. It would be in Levi's best interest to apologize to Bristol and the rest of the Palin family. If Levi is sincere in his attempts to reconcile with his young son, I say more power to him. Although he has made many mistakes at such a young age, there is such a thing as forgiveness and second chances. I am praying Levi will come around and realize how great a son he has and how great and accepting the Palin family is.

Well, kiddos, I have to get back to work; after all, we all got bills to pay, right? Stay tuned for part three of my travels. In the posts to come, you’ll read about my canoe trips on Lake Lucille, my trip to the Matanuska Glacier, lunch with my friend, Amanda, and her parents (Her dad is Alaska’s Lieutenant Governor Craig Campbell), my trip to Palmer for Colony Days and my visit with Sarah’s parents, Chuck and Sally Heath. I cannot wait to share this and much, much more. Thanks for checking in. Conservative Girl with a Voice checking out… for now.

On a side note:

The tabloid Us Weekly is reporting that Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston are back together. While Bristol and Levi are not back together, it is true that Levi wants be a more active parent in his young son's life according a recent report on ABCs Good Morning America. Bristol and Levi have decided to get along for the sake of their young son- a lesson other young parents should follow. I am praying that Levi will come around and realize how great a son he has and how great and accepting the Palin family is. If anything, this is a good start, and I pray the media will stay out of this story and let Levi and Bristol raise their son in private.

Metaphorically Speaking...

Adrienne Ross wrote an excellent, hard-hitting blog this weekend about how Levi Johnston is parlaying lies, attacking his son's family, and making excuses for not adequately supporting his son. Her post is filled with metaphors, comparing Levi to a dog that won't lie down and shut up but just keeps running around barking and biting. In her last paragraph, she used the words "put down" metaphorically to say that Levi needs to be told to shut up.

Two of the Sarah Palin-hating blogs intentionally misunderstood Adrienne's metaphor and tried to spin it as saying that Adrienne wanted to put Levi down as in euthanization. This was the farthest thing from Adrienne's mind and would be totally inconsistent with the statement she made in the immediately preceding paragraph:

I believe there's hope for Levi; I really do. And I hope he grabs ahold of
it soon because he's treading on very thin Alaska ice.

Since the hater blogs chose to misinterpret Adrienne's metaphor by using a definition for "put down" that is totally inconsistent with Adrienne's intentions, I decided to check an online dictionary. And here are the meanings for "put down" that are constistent with Adrienne's intentions.

From Merriam-Webster:

to bring to an end : stop

disapprove, criticize

to make ineffective : check

So Adrienne's use of the word "put down" was totally appropriate for its context. It is to the haters' discredit that they attempted to turn an innocent remark into something that it was not.

But then that is what we have come to expect from the evilmongers who habitually use lies and distortions to attack Governor Palin and her family.

Adrienne Ross is a valued member of the excellent team of authors on the Sarah Web Brigade blog and Sarah Palin Information Blog. She is also an author on US4Palin, C4P, and SarahNet. In addition, she is in a leadership position with the 2012 Draft Sarah Palin Committee. Like Sarah Palin, she loves her God and her country and walks the walk with her conservative values.

It is sad to see people so filled with hatred that they will turn the truth into a lie. But that is what is happening on a daily basis on the blogs that attacked Adrienne. However, the truth will prevail, as it always does in the end.

Levi: Put Up, or Shut Up! A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

There is a little angel who lives in Alaska who has two parents. One of this little angel's parents gets up early everyday to take care of him. She doesn't just care for him, but she works and goes to school too. Then, there is this little angel's father, who is approaching life in a totally different way. Instead of caring for his little angel, this young man is venturing out to Hollywood and New York, posing for magazines like Playgirl, doing interviews with gossip shows like Entertainment Tonight and on an endless search for his next big deal. You all probably know who I am talking about here. Little Tripp's parents, Bristol and Levi. Like many other conservative bloggers out there, I have repeatedly said that I am not going to use this blog as a platform to discuss Levi Johnston. Although I have said this, there comes a time when individuals like Levi need to be called out for their questionable actions and lies. Levi, or "Ricky Hollywood," as I guess he prefers to be called now, is out and about roaming the lower 48 while the mother of his child is in Alaska doing the right thing.

Bristol is a strong, mature young woman who should be commended. Instead of doing countless interviews and photo shoots, she is is caring for her child, nurturing him during, what are perhaps, the most important years of his young life. While it is not secret that Levi would rather spend time in some Hollywood studio, it is also not secret that little Tripp is so blessed to be surrounded by Bristol and the entire Palin and Heath clan. Bristol is so lucky to have the parents she has. In Todd and Sarah, Bristol has that support system and true role models. In Track, Willow, Piper and Trig, Tripp has aunts, uncles and playmates. I am so proud of Bristol. With integrity and strength, she turned what I'm sure had to have been a difficult circumstance into a positive. This isn't all. Now, she is using her own story to educate other young girls and young women about the importance of abstinence. Bristol has not glamorized her situation, not by a long shot. She is not afraid to say that being a teen mom is difficult and at times stressful, which further illustrates her strength and resilience. I know that I am older than Bristol, but I still look up to her for all she has accomplished and the good she is doing as a mother and advocate.

In choosing life, Bristol illustrated the values her mother and father instilled in her. Just like her mother, she not only talks the talk, but walks the walk. It is so easy to see just how well adjusted and loved little Tripp is. Look at the way he beams at his mommy, smiles at his grandma and grandpa, and reaches out for his Uncle Trig in photos and videos. This is a well adjusted little baby boy who has his mommy to thank for that. Doesn't Levi know that the choices he is making now are going to affect his son in the future? Of course he does. Levi is not some little kid who is unaware of the big world around him. He is 19 years old. He is old enough to join the military for goodness sake. We have young men and women who leave their families to fight for a cause greater than self. I am sick and tired of individuals out there who are blaming Levi's actions on the fact that he just some 19-year-old kid. Give me a break. This man, yes he is a man, is old enough to know right from wrong. Since Levi has no problem shelling out money to fly first class around the United States, he should have no problem going to Walmart or Target and shelling out some money on diapers. After listening to Levi's attorney/ acting buddy Rex Butler on Eddie Burke's show about a month ago, Levi was supposed to start paying Bristol on a regular basis for their son's necessities. As of today, Levi still has not done that. Instead, he gives excuses, saying Bristol never shows up to pick up the money or she doesn't answer his calls. My response to this: "Even if you say your accusations are true, I'm not buying them, you have a shiny new truck, 'Hollywood.' Have you ever heard of hopping in it and taking a drive over to the Palins? You still know where they live, right? After all, you bragged about living there for two whole months." I'm not holding my breath, though, in terms of this happening any time soon.

There is going to come a day when little Tripp is old enough to see the pain his daddy has caused his mommy. By then, I hope Levi comes to his senses and has made amends. How could Levi be so cold and uncaring toward Bristol and the Palins? Is he forgetting everything they did for him? The Palins represent a family unit that sticks together through thick and thin. Although it is so easy for us to see this, Levi is more concerned about his next meal ticket than the very people who took him under their wing. Unlike this coward, Bristol has never spoken ill of little Tripp's father. When Tripp is old enough to understand what is going on, he is going to realize this. He is going to see the intense love and dedication she has for him. Tripp is also going to have to deal with the images of his father printed in an adult magazine, the interviews he conducted with the various gossip shows, and perhaps most unfortunately, Tripp is going to have to deal with the awful things Levi has said about his mother. We can only hope and pray that "Ricky Hollywood" wakes up and realizes the damage he has caused and begins to change his ways.

Sure, Levi, the money you are making right now many be nice, and you are jet setting around the world in first-class style, but eventually, those who are using you right now are going to outgrow you. The Rex Butlers, Tank Jones and unhinged Alaska bloggers of this world are going to move on to another individual whom they can latch onto and use to gain fame and notoriety. The question is: Is Levi smart enough to realize that he is being used? Is Levi smart enough to know that he needs to drop those losers and come back down to earth to live with us mere mortals? And if he does, will he see the priceless gift that he has sitting right in front of him before it's too late? Tripp is living the most important years of his life in terms of connecting with those around him. While he is too young to know what is going on around him, it is just a matter of time before he begins to take notice.

Step up, Levi! Step up in the name of Tripp! Step up and start cherishing your son and respecting your baby's mother, an amazing woman. You look like a fool parading around the world, wearing sunglasses inside airports, posing for stupid magazines, and making "b-rated" commercials. Step up, Levi, and be the father your precious son deserves. Stop flying first class and start buying him some diapers and supporting Tripp financially because when the fame rubs off, and the leaches rid themselves of you, who will be left standing? I pray that Tripp WILL be waiting there with open arms, reaching up to be held by his daddy. It is up to you, Levi. Which path are you going to choose?

Attacks on Conservative Blogger Unwarranted

In the last few days, friend and author Adrienne Ross has been under attack for an article she posted on several blogs, discussing the custody issue between Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston. The flap revolves around one particular paragraph:

“I believe there’s hope for Levi; I really do. And I hope he grabs a hold of it soon because he’s treading on very thin Alaska ice. Like I said at the start, there’s something to be said for letting sleeping dogs lie. But when a lying dog refuses to put his rabid mouth to sleep, sometimes you just have to put that dog down.” (Read Adrienne's entire original article here)

As has been pointed out, Ms. Ross is an English teacher and accomplished writer. In their attempt to discredit her writings, they have used this very point against her, saying she should have known how her words would be interpreted. I use that same point, her writing skills, to make this point: she IS an excellent writer. This article was heavily laced with metaphor and idioms, something that seems to be difficult for her attackers to understand.

Others have used similar phrasings to make a point. For example, when President-elect Obama used the term "lipstick on a pig" during a speech, did anyone actually think he was going around with a red lipstick, chasing pigs? The left strongly argued that their idol was merely using an idiom he was familiar with, but others may not be. Another example is the recent flap over Harry Reid's racially-charged comments, which were made some time ago, and recently came to light after the publication of a political book. Again, the left argued that Mr. Reid was misunderstood and the terms he used were taken out of context. Why should this same understanding not be afforded Ms. Ross?

I have tried to make sense of the far-left's thinking, but there is no reasoning with it:

Insanity + Internet access = Liberal Blogger

This seems to be the order of the day. Adrienne has been fair and accurate in her writings on this subject. The attacks on her by the far-left are unwarranted and much more aggressive than anything they are accusing Ms. Ross of. The threats of legal action against Ms. Ross are baseless. Law is based on what a reasonable person would do in a situation. Any reasonable person who reads Ms. Ross' article will understand that she was not directly calling for harm to befall Mr. Johnston; only that Mr. Johnston needs to grow up and own up to his responsibilities - nothing more. Ms. Ross will continue to write, and should. Each of us brings a unique insight into various situations with our writings. Her contributions are valuable and this vitriol must end.

Levi: When Lying Dogs Won't Sleep; Updated

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

Everyone has heard the expression "let sleeping dogs lie." Sounds good and is arguably good advice. But what does one do when a lying dog won't sleep, won't shut up, that is?

Normally I avoid all things Levi. He's not worth it right now. Writing about him is a waste of space. He wants the publicity, so don't give it to him. I totally understand, and usually I'm in agreement. But I also understand a basic principle, and that is this: there's a time to fight back. There's a time when you just have to deal with the barking, biting dog that's been dropping you know what all over the place everywhere he goes. And sometimes you just have to put him out--not just to deal with him--but for the benefit of those he's sniping at. This particular mutt, who's been wagging his tail all over Playgirl, refuses to sit down, shut up, or play dead--and this dog is lying every time he opens his mouth.

Levi Johnston has in his camp sensationalist media, foolish Alaska bloggers, and an obviously inebriated, delusional, or severely gullible lawyer. All that, yet he doesn't seem to have anybody in his life to tell him to put his mouth to sleep when it comes to attacking his son's family. No positive male role model to pull him aside, tell him to stop his lying, and just take care of his son. Where's the tough love from somebody who will look him in the eyes and say, "Dude, what are you doing? You're gonna wake up one day from your greed-induced stupor and wonder how you sunk so low as to try to hurt your son and his mom and grandmother like this, and that's gonna be a sad day--for you."

Every time you turn around, Levi's parked on somebody's couch, making mono-syllabic statements about the Palins. And for some reason, he's absolutely obsessed with the Governor. Constantly he's saying she's attacking him so he's going to attack back. Funny thing is, his jaws are the only ones flapping.

Levi, my dawg, shut up your lying. Man up. And please...pay up.

Concerning paying up, according to TMZ:

Levi Johnston's manager, Tank Jones, tells TMZ Levi has paid Bristol more than $10,000 since Tripp was born. Jones also says Levi does not make money off of every interview he does, though he did not say exactly how much Levi has made.

Levi has not given Bristol $10,000. Levi has not had an active role in his son's first year of life.

TMZ also reported:

Attorney Rex Butler tells TMZ, Levi has told Bristol on several occasions he wanted her to come to his house to pick up checks for Tripp's support. Butler says Levi also told her "it would be nice" if she brought Tripp along when she picked up the checks, because Levi wanted to spend time with his son. Butler says on each occasion Bristol was a no-show.

Butler says Bristol is partly to blame for the fact that she hasn't gotten the support she wants. Butler tells TMZ on one occasion Levi was prepared to hand over $3,000 ... but Bristol never showed.

As for why Levi didn't just put the check in the mail ... Butler says, "Why should he have to do that. He's not dangerous to her."

So let's get this straight. Levi loves his son so much that he'd rather give no money at all than put a stamp on an envelope and mail a check? Instead of being a father to his son and providing for him, he'd rather speculate that Governor Palin is behind the legal suit and talk about Bristol's new car. Can you say "dog"? Can you say "lying dog"? If that seems harsh, it'll just have to be harsh because one thing I can't stand is a man--that's right, he's not a little boy anymore--who won't take care of his responsibilities and then lies about it.

You know when tabloids are calling you deadbeat, you've got some stepping up to do. ETonline writes:

In an exclusive interview with ET, Levi says he believes he has given Bristol more than she claims. "I don't really know but my lawyer does. But it's reasonable, what he thought was fair. For them to call me a deadbeat dad's absurd. I attempt to call her all the time and give her texts to make sure he's doing well ... I call her all the time. I try and do everything I can to see my son. I'm making an effort. I'm trying to be there for him."

"I don't really know"? "Reasonable"? "Attempt"? "Try"? "Effort"? Huh? Your lawyer knows what you're giving your son?! Growing up in the church we used to sing a song called "99 1/2 Won't Do." Look, if 99 1/2 won't do, you know 1/2 ain't gonna do!

Bristol, on the other hand, is to be commended. She is taking care of her responsibilities. Here's a young woman who, as she recently told Oprah, gets up at 4:00 or 4:30 every morning, gets her son washed and dressed, works, and takes classes. It's not easy. It's a challenge, but Tripp is her life now, and she is committed to being a good mother to him, not a "reasonable" one.

What does she get in return? The love of her beautiful baby and the joy of knowing she's making a life for her son.

Her ex-boyfriend, however, is traipsing around the country making money by selling his soul--and his lies, gallivanting around Wasilla in his new truck and new trinket (hmmm...), and refusing to buy his son so much as a pair of shoes because his little feelings are hurt that Bristol wouldn't come to his house. In the Black community, we have a word for that. Let me hip yall to it. It's called "triflin'." Of course, the community at large is well aware of the more familiar term: low-down dirty dog.

Tripp deserves better. Bristol deserves better. She's working her tail off for her son, she's learned from some mistakes she's made, and she's committed herself to doing the right thing by remaining abstinent until marriage, to which Levi barks, "I doubt it." (The daily reminder of men like Levi might be the biggest asset to the abstinence movement ever!) By the way, instead of a "role model" like Oprah Winfrey commending her for that decision, she blasted her and gave her a chance to retract it. Are you kidding me?! (I'll deal with Oprah at another time.)

The last thing I want to do is spend a Sunday on Levi Johnston. However, I'll spend a hundred Sundays on the opportunity to applaud Bristol Palin for doing the mature, responsible thing--the hard work. She's a good mom, who has another good mom as an example.

I believe there's hope for Levi; I really do. And I hope he grabs ahold of it soon because he's treading on very thin Alaska ice.

Like I said at the start, there's something to be said for letting sleeping dogs lie. But when a lying dog refuses to put his rabid mouth to sleep, sometimes you just have to put that dog down.

Update: Anyone asserting that I am suggesting Levi should be killed is out of his/her mind. By "put that dog down" I mean put him in his place, call him out, fight back instead of letting sleeping dogs lie. Hello!

Surprise! Billionaire Obama Supporter Keeping Levi Johnston In The Spotlight

As we have talked about since the election, there has been a coordinated effort by backers of Barack Obama to harm Governor Sarah Palin. We have also talked about the efforts put forth by both candidate, and now President, Barack Obama to do everything in his power to derail Sarah Palin.

We have previously talked about Barack Obama’s Alaska Mafia and how Obama and Pete Rouse, his former campaign chief-of -staff and now White House adviser, not only played an active roll in the failed "Troopergate" smear on Sarah Palin, but also actively coordinated the many attacks on Sarah post election, including encouraging the filing of all of the phony-baloney "ethics complaints" against her that would eventually cost the Alaskan taxpayers around $2 million.

Barack Obama even did a little pay-for-play "Chicago Style" payoff to Alaska State Senator Kim Elton for his part in the "Troopergate" smear. After being sworn in, Obama quietly appointed Elton to a make work job over at the Department of Interior. You can read the whole deal, as well as watch the great video that ties the entire mess together in a nice little bow, here.

As you know, Levi Johnston, the poster child for abstinence, and deadbeat dad of the century, is now "staring" in an advertising campaign for nuts. This ad, which also features his "bodyguard" "Tank" Jones, an Alaska private investigator, who works for Alaska attorney Rex Butler, a big Obama supporter, features Levi and "Tank" pretending to be at an "event" and has Levi eating the company’s nut.

Butler, who claims to be Levi’s "manager" is also representing Levi’s mother, who is facing drug trafficking charges.

The seriously cheesy ad, which features Levi in a green t-shirt with "Alaska" on it, (because no one would know who this moron is without it) is set against an all white background with "flash bulbs" going off and "canned" crowd noises while ‘Tank" pretends to "fight back the paparazzi!"

Perfectly pathetic, just like the participants!

Our friend Gregory Tart did some digging into Roll Industries, the parent company behind all of this. On his blog, Gregory reports that:

For months last year, the Huffington Post mocked Sarah Palin over Levi Johnston. The jokes about "meth", hillbillies, and Bristol Palin was beyond the pale.

Now, Obama backers have launched an equally insidious deal to keep Levi Johnston in the public eye through a promotional campaign by Roll Industries for its nuts products- which seeks to profit from the former relationship between Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston. Johnston is a spokesman for the Roll's Paramount Growers division.

Stewart A. Resnick, a billionaire liberal democrat, residing in Los Angeles, is the Chairman of Roll International. Rolls' business involves agriculture, Fiji Water, and the Franklin Mint. He is also a prime financial backer behind the Democratic Party. His wife Lynda is Godmother to Arianna Huffington's daughter.

Many have speculated that rich democrats would go to any lengths to keep this character in the public eye to embarrass Sarah Palin. It’s a sad world where the rich can score political points by attacking children to get at the mother.

Rolls International Brands include Sunkist.

Some very interesting points there, for sure. The ties to hate monger Arianna Huffington, whose vile Huffington Post actively and openly promotes hatred toward Sarah Palin are the most interesting, for sure.

In her attempts to constantly smear and spread lies about Sarah Palin, Huffington plucked two Z-list bloggers Shannyn Moore and Jeanne Devon (AKMuckraker) from obscurity, and made them feature bloggers on her website. Moore and Devon are charters members of Barack Obama’s Alaska Mafia.

One of the things Moore and Devon, along with Linda Kellen Biegel, were quite adept at, was illegally publicizing details of the various "ethics complaints" filed against Governor Palin. In Alaska, it’s illegal to publicize this sort of thing, until the complaint is resolved. Of course, the law has no teeth.

Oddly enough, if you do this and the complaint is against any government official EXCEPT the Governor, the complaint is thrown out. But curiously, not if it’s against the Governor or their staff. Hmmmmm.

Moore and Devon, along with the rest of the Alaska Mafia made great use of this loophole, often having intimate details of the complaints published on their blogs before they were even filed!

Wonder how they were able to do that? Could it be they were the ones writing them for others to file on their behalf?

The complaints, which have all been dismissed, were for ridiculous things like being photographed holding a fish, conducting an interview in her office, receiving cookies as a "bribe," and wearing a jacket in sub-zero weather!

Linda Kellin Biegel, who was raising funds (possibly illegally) on her website so she could file more ethics complaints, herself, even concocted a conspiracy theory when Sarah went to visit her troops in Kosovo!

Even better, being the constitutional scholar that she is, Biegel, and her Mafia buddies decided that it was "unconstitutional" for Sarah Palin to talk to her troops while visiting them in Kosovo! I kid you not!

Sarah Palin, as Commander-in-Chief of the Alaska National Guard, addressed her troops giving them encouragement and support. Bringing them the best wishes from home.

Such is the depths of depravity these supreme sufferers of Palin Derangement Syndrome are capable of!

Look, the bottom line is this. Barack Obama and his many wealthy supporters know what we know. Sarah Palin is the biggest threat out there to Barack Obama, besides Barack Obama’s own incompetence. They know that she is an incredibly effective politician, see "death panels," as well as a much loved Conservative figure and leading candidate for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. This has them scared, as it should.

Obama’s billionaire backers like Stewart Resnick and George Soros have an almost endless supply of funds they will use to go after Palin in all sorts of "creative" ways. It must be noted though, that George Soros, whose MoveOn.org claimed "ownership" of the democrat party after the 2006 elections, spent a small fortune between 2000 and 2008 trying to defeat George Bush, to no avail!

As for Levi Johnston, this guy is a flake. Thank goodness Bristol had the good sense to dump this loser. It’s really a sad commentary that this kid would disrespect his son just to make a fast buck.

Levi, a total deadbeat who hasn’t paid one red cent in child support, is the sort person society used to shun. But we are living in the times were losers like this are celebrated, not banished to the ash heap of history. See Roman Polanski, David Letterman, and Obama’s "Safe Schools Czar" Kevin Jennings.

It’s obvious Levi Johnston has no self respect. But you would think this mutt would care about his son, Tripp, enough not to make a spectacle out of himself, but that is just too much to ask, I guess. Levi’s next move is to pose for Playgirl Magazine. I wonder if anyone has told Levi that about 80 percent of the purchasers of Playgirl are gay men?

It looks like Roll Industries, Stewart Resnick, and our President, have found themselves quite the winner in "spokesmodel" Levi Johnston!

Roll International is the parent company for these fine products:

Sunkist Fruit

Teleflora, the largest flower delivery service in the world.

FIJI bottled water

POM pomegranate products.

Paramount citrus and nuts.

Suterra pest control items.

Neptune Pacific Line global shipping company

In-house advertising agency Fire Station, which pays Levi as a pitchman for Rolls' nuts.

Levi Johnston: Sarah Palin is an Alien

bristol-levi-SarahBy Shane Vander Hart

He might as well have said that.  Vanity Fair released some excerpts of an "essay" that Levi Johnston "wrote" that will be published next month.  Entitled “Me and Mrs. Palin” discussing his “insider knowledge” of the Palin home is designed to be yet again another smear of Governor Sarah Palin by Vanity Fair.  According to Levi:

  • There wasn’t much parenting, no cooking, no cleaning, laundry.. the kids did it all.
  • She wanted to adopt her grandchild.
  • She talked about quitting right after the 2008 elections, and pouted around the house.
  • In a press release that Vanity Fair sent out Johnston also alleges: that she fought with Todd all of the time and there was talk of divorce (at least we know who started that rumor now).

Johnston is at it again.  Here we get a glimpse into his character and find it wanting.  It’s also sad that he has pretty much destroyed any chance of a relationship with the mother of his child.  I hope the 15-minutes of fame and the money (yes he is getting paid, would they pay him if it were to be a positive story?  I doubt it) is worth it.  I’m sure his son will be proud.

Regarding the parenting claim… let’s see they have two teenage daughters… so they do the cooking and cleaning… it’s called learning responsibility.  My kids cook, clean and do laundry and they are younger.  I guess that means my wife and I are not doing any parenting.  Wait a minute… they’ll know how to cook, clean and do laundry when they are on their own.  They’ll be prepared for life.  Isn’t that parenting?  Also teenagers in general tend to exaggerate, “you never do this.”  “Everybody will be there.”  Etc.  I guess he isn’t used to that style of parenting.

Regarding the claims about her wanting to quit.  Well you didn’t see it on the job.  I’m sure in the privacy of her home she likely did complain about the ethics violations and mounting legal debt.  What I doubt is that it was discussed much around Levi.

Wanting to adopt her grandchild, perhaps it was discussed as an option.  Looking at him I’m sure that she didn’t see him as being capable.  But in an attempt to hide the fact it was Bristol’s?  Please.  Nobody is that stupid.  I mean you had people accusing her of Trig not being hers, do you think that would fly?  Perhaps we now have a glimpse of the source of the Trig Truth rumors that got started.

Regarding fighting that may occurred.  I’m sure they did and do have arguments, what married couple doesn’t?  But I think the divorce rumor has been pretty well put to bed and debunked by people who know them far better and for longer than Johnston.

I don’t even want to comment on the hunting allegation, and that she doesn’t know how to handle a rifle.  It’s just ridiculous.

I’m sure the Palin family has flaws, who doesn’t?  The problem with Levi Johnston is that he has a lying problem, and even Politico, not known to be a friend of Governor Palin’s, sees some inconsistencies.

So we essentially have a he said, she said situation, but Governor Palin has far more credibility, believability and character witnesses.  Again, she’s not perfect, but he paints a picture that is completely the opposite of what we are told by her friends, coworkers, and family.

Governor Palin will not respond to his Vanity Fair article.  I think that is wise.  She’s got better things to do, and he certainly doesn’t need more attention.

Levi Johnston Dead Beat Dad Of The Year

I’m not a fan of Levi Johnston. But as Father’s Day will soon be upon us, I feel this is a fitting award!

Why am I bringing this up, and what does this have to with my usual theme of choices in politics and life? Well, it should be obvious. Life is all about choices. Some good, some bad, and some just plain disgusting

Levi is rapidly falling into the disgusting category

We’ve all had failed relationships in our life. Some of us, especially when we were young, had a few. Most of us didn’t leave a child behind in those relationships. But out of those that did, most stepped up to the plate and did the right thing by the kid.

Which brings me to an e-mail from a friend. “Levi seen cashing two $500 checks from National Enquirer at Wasilla Wal-Mart!” Not exactly news, I mean we all understand Levi is prostituting himself out for “fame and fortune”.

But it brings up some questions. While Levi is out playing “rock star for the day”, who is taking care of his son full time, working to pay for his son’s diapers, while continuing her education?

While Levi is out schmoozing, or hunting and fishing, who is changing dirty diapers and taking care of his son?

And what about Levi’s new found celebrity?

Here’s an uneducated, unemployed, kid. A kid that ain’t even looking for a job. And yet, since he has become such a well known man-about-town, he has traded in his fairly new Chevrolet pick up, for a more upscale Ford. He also has new Jeep. It now seems Levi has supposedly put a deposit down on a Mercedes-Benz in Anchorage!

Now being a reformed car guy, I can tell you that folks don’t just put down a deposit on hope! (or change)

So you tell me, where does all of Levi’s money come from? I mean this is an unemployed high school drop out! Cars cost money, flashy clothes cost money, and jet setting across the nation costs a lot of money, especially with an accused drug dealing mother and a sister who seems a little to “attentive” for my taste, in tow.

One answer may very well be Rex Butler

Butler is a high powered Alaska attorney and Barack Obama supporter. He is representing Levi’s mother, Sherry Johnston on her 6 felony counts of drug trafficking. He also appears to be Levi’s manager of sorts.

Eddie Burke, from the Eddie Burke Show, discusses this situation at length. Evidently, long time Butler muscle for hire Sherman “Tank” Jones is now Levi’s bodyguard!

Our friends over at Conservatives 4 Palin describe this pair as money grubbing smear merchants." Which seems to describe the entire left wing up in the land of the midnight sun. I’ve written extensively about some of the insane bloggers who have co-ordinated many attacks on Governor Palin, and C4P calls them some of them out, as well, in their story on Butler and Jones.

It is said that Butler is representing Sherry Johnson and Levi “pro-bono.” But that doesn’t sound right. I mean what is in it for Butler? Now I can see an attorney, helping out a local out with a small, or even large problem for free, so long as they didn’t have to break a sweat. But....

Now, it has been well established that Barack Obama and his chief of staff Pete Rouse were a driving force behind the phony troopergate witch hunt, and as a reward for a job well done, Pete Rouse’s good friend, Alaska Senator Kim Elton, who ram-rodded the smear campaign was given a make work job over in the Department of the Interior in Barack Obama’s administration.

Could Butler be expecting some sort of payoff down the line? That certainly seems to be the Chicago way!

I honestly don’t know. But I know this. New Ford trucks, Jeeps, and Mercedes-Benz automobiles cost a lot of money. Money that an uneducated, unemployed kid generally wouldn’t have.

Levi decided to forgo being a stand up guy when it came to taking care of his child. Instead he has decided to spend his youth stripping for GQ magazine, and trashing the mother of his child on national television, by appearing on the Tyra Banks Show, as well as Larry King Live. (I’m sure his son will be so proud to know this when he grows up)

Now, when asked, Tyra banks said in no uncertain terms that the show did not pay for Levi, and family, to appear on the show, nor provide for expenses.

Plane tickets cost money. Hotels in New York City cost money. Eating in New York City costs money. Just moving around the city costs money, even if you assume the shows sent a car to bring the Johnston family to the studios.

So, where is all of this money coming from?

While two $500 checks from National Enquirer is certainly income, it’s not much. And if Levi was a man, instead of a boy, he would have given one of those checks to Bristol, to help care for his son.

Which brings me to this. Why doesn’t Levi stop playing “teen idol” and man-up?

Well, if this boy actually went out and got a job, he’d have to give up half of it in child support, that’s why! This loser knows the second he becomes a productive member of society, he will be forced to take responsibility for his son.

Levi seems to think that if he has no job, no visible means of support, that he has no responsibilities. Maybe he figures 50% of nothing, is nothing.

Of course, as far as being a real man, 100% of Levi is still nothing!

Do the right thing Levi, get a job, and provide for your child. You are only a useful idiot to the left. As soon as they use you up, they'll forget you. Your son, on the other hand is precious, and needs his father to be a stand up guy!

Levi, It is a time for you to choose!
