Message of Thanks: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

During this time of year, I like to take a step back and just reflect on how lucky I am. Since this is my first Thanksgiving post, I've decided to write about just some of the many things I am so very, very thankful for. I encourage you all to do the same.

I am thankful for my family. While we have our ups and downs just like every family does, I am so thankful to be apart of such a close-knit group of individuals. My dad, mom, brother and sister mean so much to me, and I am so grateful that we have each other to lean on. While we may have disagreements from time to time, I Iook at my family with pride knowing that I can always depend on each and every member for support. My family is my rock and I'm so thankful for this; they truly keep me sane. I am so thankful that my dad and mom raised me in a loving Christian home. I will never be able to thank them enough for taking me to church each and every Sunday, even on the sundays in which I gave them hell for my having to wake up so early after a late night out the night before with friends while in high school. Thanks mom and dad for instilling in me the values that I hold close to my heart. Thank you for carpooling my siblings, friends and I around to church, school and the many sporting events throughout the years. I know I probably took you for granted back then, but I look back at how lucky I was and still am to have awesome parents like you.


I am also thankful to live in a country where I am able to worship God and practice my First-Amendment right to free speech; I am so thankful for the Constitution and for everything our founding fathers did for our country. I am so fortunate to live in a country where I can write a blog and use it as a platform to support Sarah Palin and conservatism. Sarah is the reason I started this blog, and she will never fully know how grateful I am to her for waking me up politically and giving me the passion to want to stand up and speak out. I am thankful we have such an amazing leader on the conservative side of the aisle. Sarah and her amazing family are phenomenal, and I am so thankful to God for placing each and every member of Sarah's family in the lives of Americans. As I repeatedly mention, God puts people on this earth for a specific purpose, and Sarah is fulfilling the job God has called her to do.


I'm thankful for the many, many individuals who I have gotten to know because of Sarah. Who would have ever thought that so many hard-working, freedom-loving individuals would be brought together because of one woman? The friendships I have formed on Twitter, Facebook and at the countless tea parties have been phenomenal. I was just telling my sister, Adrienne Ross, about how awesome it is that Sarah has brought so many people together. I am so thankful to be working alongside great friends like Adrienne, Kristina Lazzaro, Denise Spencer, Randy Highsmith, among others, as we work for the common purpose of spreading Sarah's common sense message for the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee. I truly believe in our committee, and I am so honored to be apart of it. The friendships I have made as a member of this committee will last a lifetime. I am really looking forward to travelling to Alaska with Kristina in May; I know it is going to be the trip of a lifetime.


I am so thankful for the members of our strong, brave military. Every member of the military holds a special place in my heart. While I will never have the opportunity to meet each and every brave man and woman in uniform, I always thank as many members as I can for the sacrifices they make daily to keep us free and protect us from threats. I am also eternally grateful to the military families as well. They hold the fort, so to speak, when their loved ones are deployed, and I cannot even begin to imagine how difficult it must be for them. They wait at home for their loved one's return, praying that their family member will return safely to American soil. Thank you so much military members and military families! God bless you for all you do and the countless sacrifices you all make each and every day.


Finally, I want to thank you, readers, for taking the time out of your busy, busy lives to read my blog. I am overwhelmed by the amount of visitors this blog receives daily. I am even more overwhelmed by the kind words of support many of you send my way. It is because of all of you that I write this blog day in and day out. You give me so much courage and strength. The positive messages I get from all of you make all of attacks I receive from the left easy to handle. Thank you; I love you all. God bless you and your families this Thanksgiving, and may you all have a healthy and happy start to the holiday season; we have so much to be thankful for.

Waking Up America!!! (A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice)

Have you noticed how vile and disgusting many liberals have become? As a blogger and twitterer, I have become used to the rude and sexually explicit tweets and blog comments I receive on a daily basis. One thing that I noticed is that liberals never focus on concrete, set political comebacks/arguments, but instead on personal attacks. How ironic that these same people who called our previous president, Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin stupid and illiterate are unable to justify their disagreements with concrete, factual evidence. This just goes to show how little they actually know about the current issues facing our country. As a proud Christian, conservative young woman, I have made a pact with myself that I would NEVER resort to crude name calling and ridicule when arguing with the other side, but this doesn't mean I have to play nice and remain politically correct 100% of the time. As a former softball player, I'm a tough cookie who is not afraid to stand up for what I believe in. As a born-again Christian, I believe God is directing my path, and I will go wherever he leads me. While I am unsure at times what his path for me may be, I will remain faithful knowing he is in control.



The one thing I wonder about liberals is why they continue to be so bitter and unhappy? After all, their guy won. While there are probably a lot of reasons for their anger and bitterness toward those they do not agree with, I believe the reason lies in what they expect from our newly elected president. Throughout his campaign, President Obama ran on a platform of hope and change (not the kind we find left in our pockets), but now, all I see as a result is hype and pain. While these bitter liberals won't admit it, they voted for a president who is not following through on his promises; furthermore, the policies he is trying to push through the house and senate are not happening quick enough for this impatient crowd. Instead of remaining patient like good little followers, the liberal members of the left are lashing out at those whom they blame for their president's hardships. This cult mentality is what is wrong with the liberal left. They see their Messiah's poll numbers dropping, and suddenly realize that maybe he does not walk on water or is unable to turn water to wine. It becomes dangerous when individuals put so much faith in one person that they begin to lose their own identities. Yet, this is what members of the liberal left are doing. When Obama was elected president, his followers thought all that he promised would happen over night. You remember hearing all his blabbering supporters. One lady said she was so happy because Obama was going to take care of her and she would never have to pay for gasoline or rent ever again. I think my favorite had to be when the infamous Henrietta Hughes stood up at a town hall meeting and basically asked Obama for a house. I'm sorry, but when is enough going to be enough? I'm a hard working woman, Mr. President, where's my bailout? Instead of tightening the belt and living within its means, this administration has gone on a spending frenzy, and our children and grandchildren, even great-grandchildren are going to be left with the tab, but this is a matter for another day. What liberals fail to understand is that we still live America, the greatest country on earth. It is our First-Amendment right to stand up and speak out when we see the values our founding fathers worked so hard to accomplish being tampered with. The liberal left want us to back down and stay quiet like good little soldiers. They are attacking us, using horrific language in an effort to belittle us, hoping that we fall back in line line like good boys and girls. DON'T FALL FOR IT! Did Sarah back down when she was threatened? Has Glenn Beck stopped giving us the straight talk about the motives of the Obama administration and it's czars? HECK NO!!! They remain vigilant in reporting the truth, and we should too!!! We need to continue to voice our concerns because, fellow readers, IT IS WORKING!!! As you all are well aware, Green Jobs Czar Anthony Van Jones, a communist, just stepped down, which set the liberal left on the defensive. You all have to realize that if we come together, we can take our country back to the way our founding fathers meant it to be. Our founding fathers pushed on to make America the land of the free, the home of the brave. We need to return to days when we followed the constitution, when we actually lived out its principles. Yes, the constitution may be words on paper, but the words written in that document are the words that we need to return to, the words we need to live by. Our founding fathers love for our country is clearly evident in that document!!! They believed in freedom, liberty, God and our country. They believed in the value of hard word, not in bailouts and hand outs. The bigger the government, the more government control in you and your family's life. Don't let those who attack you deter you from spreading the message of common sense. They WANT you to cave in. They want you to give up. Don't give in- stay strong because the very future of our country is riding on what you do today and what you say tomorrow. Continue to watch Glenn Beck's show and listen to Sarah's common sense facebook notes, for they both know what it is fight on and live another day!!! The liberals WANT you to cave in because they are threatened by this grassroots movement that is democracy, that is capitalism. I cannot wait for the 9/12 tea parties. Let us send a message to Washington that we are NOT going to cave in and we are NOT going to give up. While we are making progress, the race is far from over. So, fellow patriotic Americans, stand up and let your voices be heard, for when we come together with a common goal, there is no way we can fail!!!

The American people stood up and demanded answers. Instead of providing them, the Administration had Jones resign under cover of darkness. I continue to be amazed by the power of everyday Americans to initiate change in our government through honest questioning, and judging by the other radicals in the administration, I expect that questioning to continue for the foreseeable future.

NEW TASKS FOR A NEW DAY

Yesterday, July 27, 2009, was a day many of us have looked toward for a number of weeks; perhaps even months.

Governor Sarah Palin (R-Alaska) awakened on her first morning as Citizen Sarah Palin, Constitutionalist, Federalist, Patriot and American Freedom Fighter from Alaska.

This is indeed the day Conservatives in America got a new, dedicated and determined voice to speak up for us with no worries about who would attack her from which venue. The point is, it doesn’t really matter now. Sarah Palin can speak up for herself now.

File a charge against Citizen Sarah Palin, and she can fight back in the media just as you broke the law to do as well. Accuse her of wearing a jacket outdoors in cold Alaska, and she can tell you to go cut a hole in the ice and go fishing.

Tell her she shouldn’t be holding that fish, and she can tell you which lake she would have caught it from if she hadn’t been too busy being your governor to go fishing herself.

Tell her she shouldn’t leave the state for 24 hours after the State lawmakers have taken a week off to go to Washington, D.C., and she can tell you where she’ll be when she gets back for you to take your best shot. After you pick yourself up off the floor, you can look at her and softly say, “Did you have a nice time while you were away?”

No more Mrs. Nice Lady. The gloves can come off now. You know as well as I do that your time of blatant jealousy because she’s intelligent, beautiful, successful, devoted to her family and still in love with her husband has run its course; you can no longer accuse her of the first thing that comes to your mind just to continue wasting Alaska taxpayer money and Sarah Palin’s personal money as well.

A deep love for America, and a sincere desire to see our country returned to the basic principles upon which it was founded; religious, personal and self-governing freedoms. These are the ideas of Conservatism. We strive to repair the damage done, in our view, by the liberal force in America as a result of removing God from our society.

The liberal forces, the atheists, the socialists and the ruling elitists have had their day. It’s time for them to move on as well. A REAL Conservative voice will be leading a national force of what you formerly called “the silent majority” as we fight with the only weapons we need against you and your continued ruination of America. Her words and our votes in the next election will soon be waving at you from your own bridge to nowhere.

Our singular goal will be to return America to the greatness she once knew. We will defeat tyranny and injustice instead of allowing it to overtake us. I don’t know which of your “trusted institutions” will be the first to go, but I can assure you, before Sarah Palin and the Conservatives in America are finished, you will all be looking for a big rock to hide your shame, embarrassment and hatred for our nation.

Many years ago, we had a phrase we used to describe this feeling of Patriotism: “America. Love it or Leave it.” You remember that I’m sure. Just in case you don’t, you’re going to hear a lot of it from now on so that you can be reminded of what it means to live and enjoy the American freedoms men and women since the Revolutionary War have fought and died to provide for you.

If I have my way, the first of your institutions to go will be your atheistic church of self. Since you are obviously unfamiliar with exactly what the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States says, allow me to refresh your memory.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Just a few words that take so little space yet say so much.

The argument of the separation of church and state as misinterpreted by many of today’s lawmakers and citizens is not found anywhere in the American Constitution. Given the context of this writing, the reference is, in simplified form, to a “Church of the United States” that would exist as the “American Church of Choice” in the same manner as “The Church of England” was in the country from which they had declared independence and won the freedom to govern this new nation. Instead of separating the church and the state, it separates the state and the church.

It was never the intention of our Constitution to wed the two inseparably. Instead the document was providing for the religious freedom of all citizens to believe or to not believe; not to follow a national religion which by implication carries the unspoken threat “or else”.

Our Founding Fathers held this view. First President of the United States, and the man considered “The Father of America,” George Washington, said, “It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible.”

In his farewell address to the nation on September 19, 1796, President George Washington remarked, "Let it simply be asked where is the security for prosperity, for reputation, for life; if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths, which are the instruments of investigation in the Courts of Justice? And let us with caution indulge the supposition, that morality can be maintained without religion."

John Adams, America’s second President, is quoted in an address to the military on October 11, 1798, "Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people, it is wholly inadequate for the governing of any other."

With excerpts engraved on the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C. taken from his “Query XVIII of Notes on the State of Virginia in 1781, Thomas Jefferson, third President of the United States remarked, "God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the Gift of God?"

"We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future of all of our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government; upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God." These words are attributed to James Madison, considered the Chief Architect of the US Constitution and fourth President of the U.S. [Attributed (1778) -- Gary DeMar, God and Government - A Biblical and Historical Study (Atlanta, GA: American Vision Press, 1982); Benjamin Hart, Faith & Freedom - The Christian Roots of American Liberty (Dallas, TX: Lewis and Stanley, 1988), p. 18; David Barton, The Myth of Separation (Aledo, TX: Wallbuilder Press, 1991), p. 120]

Patrick Henry, orator and Statesman, was a member of the Continental Congress and a five-time Governor of the state of Virginia. He is probably most recognized by this famous quote from March 23, 1775: “Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death!"

Henry also said, “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here." [Attributed -- Steve C. These are the words, the thoughts, the ideals, and the beliefs of our Founding Fathers. If our nation is to be returned to its full status as “The Greatest Nation on Earth”, we must return to the intentions of those who paved the way of Freedom for all of us in America. We must return God to His rightful place in our society. We must strive to restore the dedication of these great men within ourselves to fight for the America we love and the God who provided it.
