Clint Didier The Leading Republican In WA State Senate Race On The Strength Of Women, Independent, And Democrat Voters

Clint Didier has mounted a strong and effective campaign to not only unseat the far left Marxist-democrat, Patty Murray, but to take on the tired old establishment Republicans as well. Clint's strong leadership ability, along with his Common Sense Conservative message has resonated with the people of Wasington state who are sick and tire of being represented by the radical left, and want more than just a business as usual Republican to take their cause to the nation's capitol.

For those that are not familiar with Washington's primary system, it's basically a free for all deal. All of the candidates, Republican, Marxist-democrat, and Independents are on the ballot. My contacts in Washington tell me this was designed to keep far left radicals like Patty Murray in power. The way it works, is at the end of the day, the top two candidates, regardless of party will the ones to choose from come November.The idea, in this blue state,  is for you  to end up being forced to choose between two Marxist-democrats in the general election. 

That doesn't look like it's going to work out all too well this year.

In recent polling 8823 were asked who they would vote for if the election was held today. The results are interesting to say the least. Once you get past the obvious joke candidates like "GoodSpaceGuy" and "Mike the Mover" a clear picture emerges. Washington is a blue state, so no surprise, Patty Murry leads with 33.4% of the vote. The interesting part is that Clint Didier, who is running as a strong, unapolgetic Conservative, and running on restoring our Constitutional Republic, and the Rule of Law, is beating all other candidates, including his toughest competitor, squishy estabablisment Republican Dino Rossi.

The key to this is really simple. With women voters, Didier leads Rossi 774 to 593. Among independents it's 143 to 74. The real shocker is that Didier, with his strong Conservative message takes democrats 121 to 0. Yes, you read that right. 121 to 0. So much for the idea that one must "moderate" their message to attact members of certain voting blocks! The only group Rossi captures is self proclaimed Republicans 1325 to 1228.

As we wrote earlier, we feel that Clint Didier is A Stong And Decisive Leader For America. Obviously his message is resonating with a wide base of voters. Clint has been endorsed by Sarah Palin, which has obviously given him a boost, but he still needs our help. Patty Murray is one of the most far left radicals in the United States Senate. We must defeat her. In order to do that, there must be a strong leader, someone who appeals to more than just the Republican base. Looking at this sampling, it's obvious that Clint is that strong leader. With a message of fiscal conservatism, common sense, and the Rule of Law, Clint hits all of the right notes with the American people.

In order to become the next United States Senator from Washington, Clint must finish at the top. The primary is in August, the time to act is now.

The Best Laid Plans of Mice and Men Women

The flight from Watson Lake to High Level would be simple enough: take off to the east, fly a few miles south, then the rest of the nearly 400-mile trip east. Laura, against her better judgment decided to save her flight plan on a computer and load it into the plane’s GPS. Both she and “Sarah” thought it was really cool. Briefing done, run-up done, Laura called and got her clearance. GPS was already programmed. Ripping a quote of “Sarah’s,” Laura gushed, “it’s all good!”



The flight took off to the east, then turned south per the clearance, and began the climb to 12,000 feet through several layers of clouds.

Something’s Wrong With This Picture…

Something troubled Laura. This was a 400-mile flight. It should take about four hours. The GPS was reporting an estimated time enroute (ETE) of over five hours. “Huh?” Laura thought. Was the flight hitting a strong headwind? A flight this long would push fuel burn far beyond what is legal under IFR. No headwind. The flight, in fact had a 20-knot tailwind. It should take less time, not more! Laura’s heart sank. “Sarah” was sitting three inches from her. “Sarah” knew her way around airplanes because her husband is a pilot. And simple women’s intuition – Laura knew that “Sarah” knew there was a problem. “OK…fly the plane. We’re doing that. Let’s think this through…I would not have planned a flight nearly six hours long in a Cessna 172,” she thought. “Planned…flight plan…check that GPS…ugh…why is Ft. St. John on this route?”



Problem Solved

Laura had been considering stopping at Ft. St. John rather than High Level. Ft. St. John would have been a more direct southeasterly route to Edmonton City Centre. But Ft. St. John does not have any instrument approaches. Laura had added High Level and forgot to remove Ft. St. John. That added a diversion which would have been nearly 200 miles. Laura requested a descent to 11,000 feet, amended the flight plan with the controller, but the GPS flight plan had to be erased. Rather than re-enter the whole thing, since the flight only had to pass two waypoints before High Level, Laura just entered each segment manually, changing at the transition.

Even pilots with thousands of hours logged make mistakes. Most important is to fly the plane…and let your blood run a little cold. So, you made a mistake. Fix it, move on and don’t let it lead to more.

Shrouded in Clouds

The skies over the low hills started off clear, then turned into solid cumulus clouds. For over 40 minutes, the flight would be shrouded in clouds. With the GPS programming problem resolved and correct time enroute established, the situation became more relaxed. “Sarah” and Laura talking about a variety of subjects.



The cloud-enclosed hills gave way to flat forested terrain and clear skies punctuated by occasional clouds.



Weather Deteriorating

The controller directed Laura to turn toward the southeast and descend to 3100 feet. She had been given a visual approach, but loaded an instrument approach just in case. On the descent, the air became turbulent. Laura knew that this meant the weather was changing. Closer to the destination, weather started deteriorating. Low clouds began to form. Laura requested the instrument approach, which would lead the flight straight to the runway.



Firm Landing

The final turn was punctuated by strong turbulence, which persisted on the approach which would take them over tall trees, then a sudden drop to the runway. “This landing is going to be – ugh – firm,” Laura said. “Sarah” knew. She was familiar with these bush country airports. True to her promise, Laura planted the plane firmly on terra firma, and rolled off to parking.



“It wasn’t my fault; it wasn’t your fault; it wasn’t the plane’s fault. It was the asphalt!” she said, repeating an old pilot’s joke.

But, Laura felt awful. She felt like she let “Sarah” down – quite literally. “Landing. Pfft! Controlled crash is more like it!” Laura thought. “Ugh, “Sarah,” I need to tell you something. I’m really sorry…”

“Oh, I know what happened with the flight plan and your landing was just fine for this airport,” “Sarah” said, pausing and looking Laura directly in the eyes.

“It’s all good.”

"Sarah" and Laura are now 1,051 nautical miles from Wasilla. Their journey to Washington, D.C. is about one third complete.

Palin: Racism Charge: Time to Bury Divisive Politics of Past

Governor Palin today described in detail, via Facebook Note, why the NAACP's "racism resolution" is problematic:

I am saddened by the NAACP’s claim that patriotic Americans who stand up for the United States of America’s Constitutional rights are somehow “racists.” The charge that Tea Party Americans judge people by the color of their skin is false, appalling, and is a regressive and diversionary tactic to change the subject at hand.

President Reagan called America’s past racism “a legacy of evil” against which we have seen the long struggle of minority citizens for equal rights. He condemned any sort of racism, as all good and decent people do today. He also called it a “point of pride for all Americans” that as a nation, we have successfully struggled to overcome this evil. Reagan rightly declared that “there is no room for racism, anti-Semitism, or other forms of ethnic and racial hatred in this country,” and he warned that we must never go back to the racism of our past.

His words rang especially true in the immediate aftermath of the 2008 presidential election. It seemed that with the election of our first black president, our country had become a new “post-racial” society. As one writer in the Washington Post stated: “[Barack Obama’s] election isn’t just about a black president. It’s about a new America. The days of confrontational identity politics have come to an end.”

We, as a united people, applauded that sentiment. We were proud of that progress. That’s why it is so sad to see that 18 months later, the NAACP is once again using the divisive language of the past to unfairly accuse the Tea Party movement of harboring “racist elements.”

Having been on the receiving end of a similar spurious charge of racism (in a recent frivolous lawsuit which was finally dismissed by a federal judge), I know how Tea Party Americans feel to be falsely accused. To be unjustly accused of association with what Reagan so aptly called that “legacy of evil” is a traumatizing experience, and one of which the honest, freedom-loving patriots of the Tea Party movement are truly undeserving.

On this subject, I can recommend the statement issued by a man I was proud to endorse, Tim Scott, the GOP candidate from South Carolina’s First Congressional District. Tim, poised to become the first African-American Republican Congressman from the former Confederacy since Reconstruction, is himself a sign of a hopeful, truly post-racial future for our country. It gives added meaning to his warning that “the NAACP is making a grave mistake in stereotyping a diverse group of Americans who care deeply about their country and who contribute their time, energy and resources to make a difference.”

The only purpose of such an unfair accusation of racism is to dissuade good Americans from joining the Tea Party movement or listening to the common sense message of Tea Party Americans who simply want government to abide by our Constitution, live within its means, and not borrow and spend away our children’s futures. Red and yellow, black and white, this message is precious in all our sights. All decent Americans abhor racism. No one wants to be associated with any organization that is in any way racist in sentiment or origin. I certainly don’t want to be. Thankfully, the Tea Party movement is not racist or motivated by racism. It is motivated by love of country and all that is good and honest about our proud and diverse nation.

Like President Reagan, Tea Party Americans believe that “the glory of this land has been its capacity for transcending the moral evils of our past.” Isn’t it time we put aside the divisive politics of the past once and for all and celebrate the fact that neither race nor gender is any longer a barrier to achieving success in America – even in achieving the highest office in the land?

I just spent a few beautiful Alaskan days with some beautiful Americans in my husband’s birthplace – they are Todd’s family and they are Yupik Eskimo. In the decades that our families have blended, I have never heard one proud, patriotic member judge another member based on skin color. Both Todd and I were raised to measure a person according to their capacity and willingness to love, work, forgive, contribute, and show good character. We’re joined by the vast majority of Americans in this belief whereby we measure a man by his character, not his color. Because of amazing efforts and accomplishments by those who came before my generation, it is foreign to us to consider condemning or condoning anyone’s actions based on race or gender. Being with our diverse family in a melting pot that is a Native village just days ago reminded me of that.

So to leave that remote village and return back to “modern civilization” only to hear of the NAACP’s resolution today suggesting that we Tea Party Americans don’t respect equality makes me sad for those who choose to divide these great United States. It is time to end the divisive politics.

Sweet Clearance


"Sarah" and Laura were ready to go. Safety briefing complete, run-up complete, Laura called Whitehorse Tower and got her clearance. She smiled as she wrote it and turned to "Sarah". "This will be much better than yesterday! No reversals, no turn-abouts. We climb to 9000 feet, go south a few miles, then turn east, fly past the airport a bit to line up for landing toward the west. Done."



The flight took off for this shorter, easier leg, climbing to 9,000 then turning east toward Watson Lake. Laura noticed the autopilot oscillating the plane to get it on heading. She clicked it off, hand-flew, got it on heading,then re-engaged. The skies were clear for the first hour of the trip. This looked promising...



Rivers, creeks and streams cut through the mountains like mini fjords. The view was spectacular.



There was a brief period of unnerving turbulence as the strong mountain winds buffeted the plane in violent jolts. This lasted about 10 to 15 minutes. Laura re-assured "Sarah" that she had it under control. She slowed down to what is called "maneuvering speed" and rode the bumps out. The turbulence ceased, but it began to cloud up, and one peak stood out menacingly.



Laura loaded the ILS approach for the runway facing east. This would involve a circle to land like in Whitehorse, but she wanted to have the approach ready just in case. The clouds continue thicken.



The next 45 minutes were flown in and out of clouds. "Clear skies," "Sarah" said. She knew to never trust those predictions whether in flight, in life, and definitely politics. As the mountainous terrain flattened, the clouds became scattered and Laura could see through to the ground. The controller instructed her to turn more to the right to begin lining up for the airport and descend to 4500 feet. "Today, we're going to take the visual approach. I'm satisfied with the visual references and we're over flatter terrain now," Laura said.



"There it is off the left wing. See the river? See Watson Lake behind it?" "Yes. It's gorgeous." "The airport is on the north bank over there. Another 10 to 15 minutes." The controller let the flight go past, then instructed Laura to turn north, then northwest to begin her visual approach.



The landing in Watson Lake was smooth and beautiful. "Sarah" and Laura were now 765 miles from Wasilla. On the ground, they discussed a revised flight plan. Their next stop would be High Level, over 400 miles east. This would be followed by a nearly 400-mile southerly drop to Edmonton City Centre, where "Sarah" was to have a major meeting.
