Merry Christmas 2009 from SPWB!

Merry Christmas from all of us at Sarah’s Web Brigade and the Sarah Palin Web Brigade to all of our readers! May your day be blessed as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, whose birth, death, and resurrection guaranteed eternal life for all who would accept His free gift! As we spend time with friends and family today, let us take time to thank Him for all he has done and continues to do for all of us.

The famous poem below describes the impact of His life on the institutions and history of the human race. What the poem fails to mention are the many deeds of Jesus while on Earth. The Book of John ends with this statement:

John 21:25 (King James Version):

And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

One Solitary Life

He was born in an obscure village
The child of a peasant woman
He grew up in another obscure village
Where he worked in a carpenter shop
Until he was thirty

He never wrote a book
He never held an office
He never went to college
He never visited a big city
He never travelled more than two hundred miles
From the place where he was born
He did none of the things
Usually associated with greatness
He had no credentials but himself

He was only thirty three

His friends ran away
One of them denied him
He was turned over to his enemies
And went through the mockery of a trial
He was nailed to a cross between two thieves
While dying, his executioners gambled for his clothing
The only property he had on earth

When he was dead
He was laid in a borrowed grave
Through the pity of a friend

Nineteen centuries have come and gone
And today Jesus is the central figure of the human race
And the leader of mankind's progress
All the armies that have ever marched
All the navies that have ever sailed
All the parliaments that have ever sat
All the kings that ever reigned put together
Have not affected the life of mankind on earth
As powerfully as that one solitary life

Merry Christmas Wish: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

I just wanted to take a minute to wish you and yours a very, very Merry Christmas. I know many of you are very busy with planning today and tomorrow's festivities, but remember to stop and take a minute to reflect on the true meaning of the season: Jesus. He is the light and the hope of the world!!! I am so thankful to have been brought up in a family in which I was reminded of this each and every day of the year, and most importantly at Christmastime when we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Let us all be thankful for everything we have as a nation. I love our military, and I am so grateful for the sacrifices our brave men and women make for us each and every day of the year! I have included a link to a Youtube video that will put everything into perspective. Click here to watch!!! Enjoy and MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOURS!!!

On a cool side note, below is a photo I was presently surprised to find on the internet yesterday of Sarah's awesome dad, Chuck Heath. He is pictured at the Wasilla book signing, wearing one of the red Going Rogue Book Tour 2009 shirts we embroidered Sarah's family. How cool is that?

Ronald Reagan And Sarah Palin's Christmas Messages To The Nation

Came across this wonderful Christmas message the Great Ronald Reagan gave to the nation. This was 1981, The Reagan family's first Christmas in the White House. For those that remember, this was of great comfort to the nation during some rough times, I find it of great comfort in these times as well.

The times are tough, and the Republic in grave danger, but we are indeed a nation built on faith and freedom. Reagan's words serve to remind us that the American spirit, along with divine providence, shall always prevail.

Sarah Palin also has an inspirational message to us all:

Merry Christmas!

Todd and I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! The Palin family is blessed to all be together among family and friends this Holiday – and that is one of the greatest gifts of all. But while this is a beautiful time of the year for families and friends around the world, we recognize that it is a difficult time of the year for so many others – especially this year. May we remember all those who are lonely or in need on this blessed night, and please join us in saying a special prayer for those away from their loved ones in the service of a grateful nation. May God bless you all and continue to bless our great country.

- Sarah Palin

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.” (Luke 2:14)

May everyone have a Merry Christmas and may everyone be blessed with all of the love and joy this time brings to our lives. May God bless you all.
