If it is so important to the left to stop Sarah Palin from running for President, then it is that much more important that she run - and win!

A true conservative from the state of Alaska is running for United States Senate. Joe Miller is that conservative, and he is positioned to unseat Lisa Murkowski whose record shows her to be anything but in touch with the people who sent her to Washington to represent their best interests. Rather than standing up for conservative values, she has demonstrated a Liberal bent that is not what the people of her state expected of her. This is just one reason it's Miller Time!
Listen to this radio ad which includes audio of Lisa Murkowski stating that American taxpayers are not concerned about the amount of money Congress is spending. Her attitude is precisely the problem in Washington today, precisely why common sense conservatives are counting down the days to the November mid-term elections, and precisely why Governor Palin endorsed Joe Miller.
So what are Alaskans saying? My friend, Tracey Porreca, in her article, "Another reason I'm voting for Joe Miller," gives her take on why America needs Miller in and Murkowski out. Read her article here.
Perhaps Murkowski's unacceptable voting record can best be understood by taking a look at the grades she's received from various prominent conservative organizations:
Freedom Works – F (50%) National Taxpayer's Union – D (63%) Citizens Against Government Waste – F (54%) Senate Conservatives Fund – F (50%) Eagle Forum – D (63%) American Family Association – F (33%) Family Research Council – F (55%) US Border Control – F (33%)
Murkowski's grades beg this question: is this the best we can do? The answer is a resounding, "No!" Not when there's a better a choice. Joe Miller is that choice. Alaskans, your vote impacts the entire nation. Vote Joe Miller in the August 24th Primary.
It's something I've been saying since we lost the election. Hammer it home. Don't sell Sarah Palin. Sell the people on the fact that the media lies to them. Once they realize that, they'll figure the rest out. - from a post I wrote July 21, 2010.
I don't blame people for not really knowing what it is, in some instances -- what I stand for or what my record is because if I believed everything that I read or heard in the media, I wouldn't like me either. - Sarah Palin yesterday on Fox News Sunday
I must have woken up my neighborhood yesterday morning when she said that. I yelled out one loud YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAH!
Step by step, conservatives have done what I outlined on my Fight for the Right page over a year and a half ago. Andrew Breitbart (Big Journalism), Tucker Carlson (The Daily Caller), Brent Bozell (Newsbusters) and Sarah Palin have done the things necessary to help rebuild the movement by pushing back on media bias. As such, the conservative movement is alive and well, thriving nearly a year and half after being on its death bed following the election of Barack Obama.
Conservatives are doing everything they need to do to prepare ourselves to lead again when the political tides swing back our way at the ballot boxes in 2010 and 2012.
They could not do it without courage and conviction. They were not afraid to push back when liberals tried to portray them as racists, an angry mob or a bunch of dumb yahoos. They are professionals, lawyers, writers, blue collar workers, stay at home moms, rich, poor, middle class, black, white and a myriad of other races. They are America. The liberals are the dismantlers. Conservatives has shown they are willing to get their hands dirty in building it back to the way it was supposed to be.
Sarah Palin has methodically revived her image and articulated the conservative message in the face of a now dying liberal headwind. Long gone are the days when the media takes free shots at her or drives her from office by relentlessly pursuing frivolous ethics complaints against her. She has shown that she is a fighter. She has shown that she cannot be defeated. She has shown that she can lead us.

Laura was sitting in the flight operations building. She had gotten weather information, filed her flight plan, pre-flighted and ran the plane up and shut down. She reviewed the DC airspace procedures one last time. She recalled that “Sarah” had written in Going Rogue that she never seen a replay of her own GOP 2008 convention speech. Laura was going to correct that. They had watched Reagan’s Time of Choosing speech back in La Crosse....
Laura had the YouTube video ready to go on her own laptop, which she connected to the office’s big flat screen. “Sarah” entered. After greeting each other, Laura told “Sarah” she had to step away for a few minutes and started the 46-minute video.
She returned about five minutes later and sat with “Sarah” to watch the rest of the video. “Thank you, Laura!” she said when it was over.
Laura’s voice quivered slightly, “Sarah, it’s time.” Laura did not want to think about the farewell that was to be in two short hours. But, the entire point of the journey boiled down to this final flight after all. In essence, that farewell was the point. Laura had a job to do. They went to the plane, started up, and Laura got the clearance.
The flight would take off to the southwest then turn east climbing to 7,000 feet.
Over West Virginia
The flight paralleled Pennsylvania’s southern border, entering then leaving Maryland. Save for some scattered clouds, the night was clear and crisp. The controller instructed Laura to turn toward the southeast and assigned a visual approach to Reagan National’s southeast facing runway. Laura would have preferred the more southerly runway aligned with the night’s winds, but she did not request a change. The runway choice proved providential.
Initial Descent over Dulles
Laura was instructed to descend to 2000 feet. Her flight path took her right over Dulles Airport.
Following the Potomac River
Soon, Laura was following the Potomac River. Washington DC’s principal buildings started to come into view.
Cleared to Land
Her assigned runway came into view and she was cleared to land. The city’s main buildings passed by the left wing, as “Sarah” looked on.
Watergate
The hacking of "Sarah's" private email accounts in 2008 was a modern day version of Watergate. As the flight passed the complex, she renewed her vow to continue being the antithesis of what happened here so many years ago.
750 Feet to Go
Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument
George Mason and Arland Williams Bridges

370 Feet to Go
General Aviation Parking
As Laura pulled off to taxi to the General Aviation area, a US Airways 737 took off likely for New York or Boston. Laura would be repositioning this plane at the Flying W in southern New Jersey after a day or two.
Upon reaching General Aviation, Laura completed her post-flight checklist and started secured the plane, starting with the left wing. Unbeknownst to Laura, “Sarah” tied down the right wing, and waited as Laura went to work on the tail. When Laura swung round to the right wing, she swallowed hard, seeing that “Sarah” had done it.
Meet me here, January 20, 2021 at noon...
"Sarah" turned her and said, "thank you for all you've done. If you need something from me, let me know." Laura paused for a minute then - baiting "Sarah" - said with intonation as if "Sarah" owed her a major debt – "yes, there is something I want you to do for me!" "Sarah" was taken aback at first. Was Laura just another one of so many sycophants who would use her out then trash her to the media? This could not be happening, but somehow "Sarah" could detect the intonation was a put-on. Laura was a skilled pilot; however, she was a lousy actress, and she could not maintain the charade beyond that sentence. Her eyes filled up and she choked out, "yes, 'Sarah.' There are a few things I want from you…"
…Never change who you are. Don’t let this place change you.
…On January 20th at 12 noon in the year 2021, I want you to meet me here. I’ll have a jet. I’ll take you direct to Anchorage, then in this plane back to Wasilla. I took you out of Alaska. After you have led and served – let me take Alaska’s daughter home.
A Hug and a Salute
"Sarah's" motorcade was now on the ramp. "Sarah" walked toward Laura and gave her a long hug and said "thank you." "Sarah" turned and walked to the motorcade. Laura snapped to attention facing "Sarah" and raised her right hand in a salute and held it there. "Sarah" turned and waved back. Laura held the salute. "Sarah" entered the Suburban and closed the door. The motorcade pulled away, and Laura moved only to face it as it left, still holding the salute. When the motorcade was out of sight, Laura dropped to attention, then at ease, then normal. She savored the moment and the sweet 2 AM air.
She turned took a final look at the now empty seat once occupied by "Sarah" for 13 flights over 40 hours, gently closed the door and locked it, then locked her side.
From Her House to Her House...
It’s 3,314 nautical miles – 3,848 statute miles - from Wasilla to Washington. It took 40.3 hours all told; 9.1 hours of instrument flight, and 13 hours of night flight to bring "Sarah" from her house to her house (from January 20, 2013 - till January 20, 2021)….
Last year, the Alaska Fund Trust was established to raise money to defend Gov. Palin against frivolous ethics complaints and lawsuits that were filed against her in a coordinated effort to drive her out of office. On June 24, 2010, the Alaska Fund Trust was replaced by Sarah Palin Legal Defense Fund. Those of you who donated to the Alaska Fund Trust will be receiving refunds within 90 days from June 24. You will have the option to re-donate these funds to the new Sarah Palin Legal Defense Fund, which is the official, and legitimate fund now in existence. Please re-donate those funds to the Sarah Palin Legal Defense Fund.
Jan Brewer has the cojones that our President does not have, to look out for all Americans, not just Arizonans, but all Americans in this desire of ours to secure our borders and allow legal immigration to help build this country.
~ Sarah Palin
In an interview with Chris Wallace for Fox News Sunday Sarah Palin blasts Barack Obama for propensity to blame President George W Bush for his own failures. She rightly points out that Obama was a United States Senator, and part of the Marxist-democrat controlled Congress that created many of the problems we are facing today.
Sarah also takes a big swipe at Obama's very manhood when talking about the situation in Arizona, and the nation as a whole.
When talking about the economy, Sarah said the democrats were "all wet" on plans to allow the Bush tax cuts to expire. "It's idiotic to think about increasing taxes at a time like this." Wallace then repeated the Marxist-democrat spin that keeping the tax cuts would raise the deficit. This is, of course, nonsense. The reason unemployment is so high is businesses, especially small businesses are scared. The situation is so unstable they simply don't want to hire, or make large capital purchases. Low taxes means they can afford to hire, and more people working, and buying things add to the tax revenue.
It's a proven fact that lower tax rates see an increase of receipts to the treasury and higher taxes see less. This was true when Kennedy lowered taxes, when Reagan lowered taxes, and of course, when Bush lowered taxes. The only way to control the deficit is to cut the insane runaway spending the Obama regime has embarked on.
Of course, Wallace brought up 2012. Now most are looking forward to a presidential run by Sarah in 2012. We feel she will be one of the finest Presidents we've had in quite some time, and her record certainly backs that theory up. With that said, she, like the rest of us, is focused on November 2010 like a laser. If Conservatives don't take back Congress in 2010, there probably won't be anything left to be President of in 2012.
Loved her answer about polling, and she takes a nice hit at the lies the media conspired to tell, with their coordination through Journolist.
Interviews like this are exactly why we support Sarah Palin strongly. This is a woman that doesn't mince words and doesn't talk a bunch of nonsense. Sarah Palin is a strong leader who DOES have the cojones to look out for all Americans on every issue we face. She is a true leader.
I've been thinking a lot about how to get the federal government under control. So much bureaucracy is not going to be easy to unwind, but I have a few ideas.
First off, what should the Executive branch look like? What departments are truly necessary for the things that a national government should concern itself with? What about:
1. Defense - It used to be called the Department of War. That's a good [re-] start. Homeland Security should be part of it's purview, not a bunch of bureaucrats that manage our transportation system and their supporting unions.
2. Commerce - There needs to be a return to PROMOTING commerce as opposed to regulating it, which is all the Commerce Department does nowadays. I could spend a few months in the Commerce Department and streamline their reporting mandates in a way that PROMOTED commerce. The existing efforts stifle it. It's a pet peeve of mine.
3. Treasury - The Treasury Department needs to manage the finances of our national government and not anything else. How in the hell did we get to a point where the Treasury Department is managing our entire economy? This has to stop! I could go on and on about all the ridiculous federal bureaucracies that fall under this department (FNMA and FHMC come to mind) and need to go.
4. Foreign Affairs - I think that the State Department needs to go in its present form. What we really need is a department to manage our foreign affairs. It should operate within the dictates of our national interests, not as a cabal of bureaucrats that patronize left-wing dictatorships. If a foreign country is all-in for capitalism, we should be all-in for supporting them. Why waste time and resources on a country that doesn't support our national interests in a market-based economy?
Anyway, I hope you get my drift. Re-establish priorities and put them in place. Once you've done that, staff the departments in a way to further the goals of that department.
Unions are not welcome. They should be abolished from any form of government. There should be absolutely no negotiating on this point. Working for any level of government is a service to your country, your state or your local jurisdiction. Unions do not have a place in this service. They are anathema to our Constitution.
Once you've established the proper departments of the Executive branch and staffed them to the level needed to perform their functions (within their established budgets), cut the rest free. This may displace thousands of governments workers, but they really need to be in the private sector anyway.
Freeze all government pensions that are not part of the surviving structure. They get what they get, as of their termination date. Why should they be treated any differently than private sector employees?
Now, you'll notice that I have not talked about entitlements. There's a reason for that. As of [name your date], they cease to continue. Notice that I didn't say "cease to exist". There are far too many citizens of this great country that accepted the "New Deal" and planned accordingly. They should NOT be penalized. Anyone over the age of 65 years old needs to be "grand-fathered". Anyone younger than that needs to have their contributions to Social Security transferred to an account that THEY control.
Going forward, there is no Medicare or Social Security, as we know it. What is in its place is a actuary-based system that weans people off the government dole and places them in a privatized system. I have the utmost confidence that our free enterprise system will find a way to assist them, albeit at a price.
So, who is positioned to lead this charge?
I can only think of one, and her name is Sarah Palin.
Who is the one that espouses all that is the free market? Who is the one to focus our attention on the roots of our society? Who is the one that "gets it" and opposes the ruling elite? Who is the one that speaks to our values and stands opposed to a mosque at Ground Zero? Who is the one to stand up for our Christian beliefs? Who is the one that stands willing to battle a progressive ideology? Who is the only one committed to unite us in conquering our socialist foes?
Who amongst us hails from Alaska, the last bastion of rugged individualism?
It's no secret that POLITICO is a biased news organization. The online polictical blog is as progressive as they come. Very agenda driven. In our reporting we have already addressed the fact that Journolist members are solidly entrenched inside POLITICO's upper levels. Something Roger Simon, who calls the website home, tried to downplay.
John Nolte over at Big Journalism isn't buying it, and has a simply marvelous retort:
You say MSM, I say Politico. You say corrupt, I say Politico.
Today, Politico’s Roger Simon was kind enough to almost scold JournoList for its lasting effect on his precious little profession of journalism. At one point, he and the scrupulously non-partisan Chuck “Fire Glenn Beck” Todd hold hands and commiserate over how this unfortunate JounoList thing is tarring “those of us who don’t practice activist journalism.” If Roger Simon wants to rebuild his precious little profession’s reputation, a good start might be asking his very own publisher some tough questions.
Politico might be an online publication, a part of the New Media, but when it comes to corrupted, left-wing arrogance they make the Washington Post look somewhat honest … somewhat. Part of the reason I reserve a special place in my heart to store up a unique resentment for all things Politico is due to the very fact that they practice their dark arts online. Like a toxic virus they spread over to the Internet where the right (by design) and the left (by accident) are trying to forever kill off the very thing Politico is — wolfish left-wing propagandists hidden in the sheeps’ clothing of “journalism.”
Oh, and did you know that some of Politico’s “journalists” were members of Ezra Klein’s now infamous JournoList, including Mike Allen, Lisa Lerer, and Mr. Ben “I-Got-Yer-Back-Barack” Smith?
And this little juicy nugget of fact raises a troubling question…
What Politico needs to disclose is exactly when their three employees joined JournoList, because now that we know what really was going on there, this Politico article reeks of a cover up.
Written by Michael Calderon in March of 2009 and titled “JournoList: Inside the echo chamber,” even at the time it was written, the thousand-plus worder ranked as another classic example of what Politico does best: write stories about why stories they don’t want covered aren’t worth covering. In other words, like Ben Smith’s Black Panther piece, this is how Politico spikes that which might damage the Leftist narrative.
While reading Calderon’s JournoList expose,’ you can practically hear the staged, self conscious yawn of a man trying to put across the false front that once again those crazy, paranoid right-wing conspiracy mongers have taken him away from oh-so important work to address this nothing-ness.
Calderon’s idea of “journalism” was to interview JournoList members such as Jeffrey Toobin, Eric Alterman, and Joe Klein, who each assure us in their own wrist-flicking way, Tell those silly right-wingers that no one’s pushing an agenda. In 2009 the piece was hilariously obvious in its biased and preordained objective to smoke-and-mirror away concerns about what Ezra’s little coven of left-wingers was up to. But reading it again in hindsight, it stinks to high heaven.
Deep, deep, deep in the article – long after the dull dutifulness of it all is supposed to kill your interest in clicking over to page two, Calderon finally gets around to admitting Politico’s Smith, Allen, and Lerer are members.
Three Politico employees were members of JournoList, and yet in March of 2009, Politico published an article where JournoList members claimed nothing improper was going on there — which we now know wasn’t even close to the truth.
There’s only two explanations: Either Smith, Allen and Lerer weren’t JournoList members when this corrupt activity was taking place, or they were, and not only did they not disclose the improper activity but they allowed their employer to print a misleading story.
What did Politico know and when did it know it?
In a truly just world, all 400 plus members of Journolist would join the ranks of the chronically unemployed, but I digress.
Sadly, this is just more proof that it's almost impossible to trust any supposed news source in this country. I know a lot of folks, myself included, tend to frequent blogs and newsers that mostly agreee with our point of view, but we also need fair and balanced news sources that play it straight. Just the facts, no matter who it helps, or hurts. No agenda, just facts. Until this happens, America is in big trouble.
When consuming news these days, to paraphrase Ronald Reagan: Trust, but verify. And go easy on the trust part, and heavy on the verify part.
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, a front-runner for the nomination, has signaled quietly to Graham that Republicans must address immigration before the campaign heats up, according to several sources familiar with the conversation.
Looks like noted "Profile In Courage," Mitt Romney has crawled out of the shadows to tell his fellow GOP elite that they need to get it in gear before 2012, so the issue of illegal immigration doesn't hurt his already poor chances of a run for the presidency. Basically, he's asking his fellow elites to help him vote "present" on this issue. Never mind that amnesty will destroy the very fabric of the nation, for Romney, eevrything is seen through the prism of how it benefits him and his naked lust for power. Everything else be damned.
POLITICO, that sanctuary for corrupt Journolisters, is doing it's job in this piece, as they attempt to bring John McCain, who was once on the amnesty bandwagon, back into the fold. In doing so, they expose fellow traveler Mitt Romney and his actions.
Immigration advocates miss John McCain
“His coming back to the table would be a very substantial move and something that could help break the logjam,” said Clarissa Martinez, director of immigration and national campaigns for the National Council of La Raza.
For those that don't know, La Raza means "The Race." In other words, this is a racist, supremest organization.
“The conversation has to begin with John McCain and Lindsey Graham,” added Angela Kelley, vice president for immigration policy and advocacy at the Center for American Progress. “They are the top-tier Republicans.”
Their hope now is that Republican presidential candidates and former operatives under Bush, a reform proponent, can convince GOP congressional leaders that the issue needs to be dealt with before 2012 — or that they could risk alienating the burgeoning Hispanic vote in the crucial swing states of New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona and Florida.
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, a front-runner for the nomination, has signaled quietly to Graham that Republicans must address immigration before the campaign heats up, according to several sources familiar with the conversation.
Graham’s push against birthright citizenship prompted this response on POLITICO’s Arena from Cesar Conda, a former domestic policy adviser to Vice President Dick Cheney: “If the Republican Party embraces ending birthright citizenship, then it will be assured losing Latino and ethnic voters — and presidential elections for the foreseeable future.”
Jason Rose, a Republican political consultant in Arizona, said there’s little chance of McCain backpedaling on immigration reform — even though such a major legislative accomplishment would cement his legacy.
“For John McCain to re-engage as he did before on the immigration issue will create a new political vernacular: It would be flip-flop flipper,” said Rose, who resigned from Hayworth’s Senate campaign in March after a contract dispute. “His constituents want the damn fence and they want it now, and he gets it.”
Edmundo Hidalgo, president and chief executive of Phoenix nonprofit Chicanos por la Causa, said that in previous years, McCain demonstrated a willingness to understand and work through issues affecting the Hispanic community. But this month, when Hidalgo met with McCain staff members to push for the DREAM Act, he heard only one refrain: Secure the border first.
“There is a disconnect with his priorities and our priorities,” said Hidalgo, whose group sued Arizona over its immigration law. “Although some of us may have a wishful sentiment to see the maverick, at this point, he is John McCain, the enforcer at the border. Those were fond memories.”
With the way Hidalgo is talking up McCain's stance on illegals, he'll make sure he wins in a landslide, as most Americans are solidly behind Arizona's new law, and want the border secured, yesterday! Read more of this disgustng mess here.
It amazes me how stupid the Republican elites are. For one thing, Hispanics are not a monolithic group. Most legal immigrants, as well as American born Hispanics are very much against amnesty. Those pushing for amnesty, and the illegals themselves, have little if any regard for America, as witnessed by all of the Mexican flags they carry, and their refusal to even attempt to assimilate, learn English, and so on. This only hurts their chances for success, and all but guarantees they will end up living off of taxpayers, rather than being productive members of society. There is a reason why becoming a United States citizen is hard work, it pays off for everyone in the end.
The radical left is pushing for amnesty for one reason, and one reason only, they see a potential 20 million new democrat votes come this fall.
It would figure that Mitt Romney would be all for amnesty though. Sixty-eight percent of all Americans approve of building a border fence, however Sixty-seven percent of the political class, the ruling class, oppose, as you can read here.
It's hard not to be sympathetic with decent people who just want a better life, but the fact is, we are a nation of laws, and cannot survive if we pick and choose which laws we enforce. We must completely secure the border, and then we can work on reforming the system. Nothing can happen until we secure that border completely.
Lindsey Graham Can't be trusted, he is a very reliable vote for total amnesty. Mitt Romney knows this, which is why he is bending his ear. Birds of a feather, and all.
BTW, while Romney is doing everything possible to not have any difficult issues to face, Sarah Palin has consistently stood up against the open borders crowd, and on Thursday took Obama to task again on his total failure to do his constitutionally required duty of securing the border.
Mitt Romney is a political opportunist, and a political coward. If the RomneyCare fiasco doesn't prove he is unfit to hold office, this most certainly should.
