Governor Palin tonight delivered a Reaganesque address at the Iowa GOP's annual Ronald Reagan Dinner in Des Moines, to raise money and campaign for Iowa's 2010 GOP candidates. Her speech addressed the core conservative principles of limited government, energy independence, and fiscal responsibility. "This is our movement, this is our moment, this is our morning in America,” she said. Gov. Palin said the November 2 elections are "our time of choosing."

Constitution Day 2010 Anchorage, Alaska. September 17, 2010 -- Two hundred and twenty-three years ago delegates from throughout the United States assembled in Philadelphia to sign a world-changing document. The Declaration of Independence was our nation’s founding charter, stating the purpose of the new nation and government—to secure our God-given rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness--and the Constitution was the means the Founders adopted to that end. We commemorate that important date each year on Constitution Day, September 17. The Constitution established a federal system of government granting specific powers from "the People" to the federal government and retaining the rest for themselves and the states. The founding document recognized that power has a tendency to corrupt and whenever too much power is placed within any branch of government or level of government, lost liberty inevitably follows. As James Madison, the “Father of the Constitution,” wrote so eloquently in the Federalist Papers, “But what is government itself, but the greatest of all reflections on human nature? If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself.” In recent years, citizens all over the United States have recognized that our federal government needs to be brought back under control, and they’ve been making their voices heard in the public square and at the ballot box. The federal government has grown too big to the detriment of that power that should be reserved to the people and the states. If given the honor of being your next United States Senator, I will pledge to support and defend the Constitution, as I did two decades ago as a newly commissioned officer when I took the oath at West Point. As a former judge at the state and federal level, I also understand the importance of maintaining the rule of law, under the Constitution, in order to preserve our free society. I will work with other members of Congress to bring the federal government back within its bounds, so we can preserve the American dream for ourselves and future generations. Landslide for Michael Grimm in GOP Primary

In this mailing sent today, GOP Congressional candidate Michael Grimm discusses his primary victory on September 14 and his plans to defeat Michael McMahon (D) in the November 2 general election.

Grimm is running for New York’s 13th Congressional District, which covers Staten Island and part of Brooklyn. Governor Palin endorsed Grimm on July 28, 2010, along with John Gomez for NY-2 who ran unopposed and won. US for Palin Publisher, Ron Devito is campaigning for Grimm. For the primary, Devito walked door-to-door in the 60th and 79th Election Districts, installed lawn signs in the 10314 zip code, called voters on primary day and closed the PS 36 poll. When Devito arrived to the victory celebration, Allegretti had already called Grimm to concede. Watch Grimm's victory speech here.

Irish Central: Palin's Endorsements Could Lead to White House

Irish Central's Patrick Roberts makes an observation about what Governor Palin's power to influence elections might say about 2012. Other than his unexplained assertion about "extreme" Conservative candidates, he offers an interesting perspective. Roberts writes:

Christine O'Donnell's victory in Delaware is the equivalent of the shot heard around the world.

It shows that Sarah Palin will gallop to the Republican nomination in two years if the current seething anger in the party of Lincoln continues.

Who will stop Palin now with the Republican right in such a fired up, throw the bums out mood?

Mitt Romney, not on your Nellie?

Newt Gingrich? Last century's man.

O'Donnell's victory is far more significant than that of Joe Miller in Alaska. It occurred in a blue state where moderate Republicans long held sway.

She deposed Michael Castle, the very epitome of the establishment Republican party, a long time moderate who seemed a perfect fit for the vacant senate seat.

Along with Sharon Angle's victory in Nevada, it shows that the Republican right wing is transcendent that no candidate is too extreme for them and that the party has lurched far more to the right than anyone believed.

Back home in Alaska Sarah Palin may well be measuring her prospects for 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue if this continues.

As I have written here before it could well happen.
