Limbaugh: Attacks on Sarah Palin Tell Us Who the Democratic Party Is Most Afraid Of - Who They Think Can Beat Obama

As Sarah Palin's last day as governor of Alaska approaches, the left wing media is trying with several hit pieces to offset the publicity that will surround the annual picnic in Fairbanks tomorrow . The Washington Post has a 3-page online article that apparently uses Andrea McLeod, whose sixth frivolous ethics complaint was just dismissed, as its primary source. Denver Post also has a negative article. Even Reuters got in on the act. Expect to see more as the day progresses.

However, Rush Limbaugh got it right as he talked with Greta van Susteren about Sarah Palin during an interview at his radio studio earlier this week:

Transcripts of the two-part broadcast can be seen here and here. (The transcript for Part Two does not seem to be complete.) In Part One, broadcast at On the Record on Thursday night, he primarily talks about Obama. During Part Two, which was broadcast on Friday night, he discusses Sarah Palin.

UPDATE:

As expected, the negative spin by the liberal mainstream media on Sarah Palin's last weekend in office continues. Add to the list the Houston Chronicle, MSNBC, and the Los Angeles Times. As someone has pointed out (hat tip @StopTheSmears), a former Democratic state senator from Alaska also took it upon himself to post an op-ed yesterday in the New York Times to call Sarah Palin a quitter.

This sentence from Matthew Daly's Associated Press article has been repeated frequently today, "She leaves office Sunday with her political future clouded by ethics probes, mounting legal bills and dwindling popularity." Yeah, right. 16 ethics complaints DISMISSED so far. Legal bills that her supporters have raised the money to pay because they are irate at the political attacks against her. The surges in SarahPAC donations do not attest to any dwindling popularity - on the contrary. The ABC/WaPo poll that has been quoted over and over is biased by a 33 % Democrat to 22 % Republican ratio. In addition, the reliability of their polls are low in the pollster rankings anyway.

What the liberal media refuses to do is to take Sarah Palin at her own word that she is leaving office to save the state of Alaska millions of dollars of expense related to the politically-motivated attacks against her. Sarah Palin is not quitting, she's just changing direction. And believe me, that's what they're afraid of.
