Be Careful What You Wish For: Sarah Palin Calls Out Chris Daggett

by Clifton Bazar

This morning on MSNBC, Chris Daggett claimed he is being pressured by Republicans to drop out of the New Jersey governor’s race. He specifically mentioned Sarah Palin as one of the people pressuring him.  This was a false claim and Sarah Palin has called out Daggett on her Facebook page this morning.

Check out Palin’s last line. Methinks Daggett should have kept his mouth shut on that one, because he has now given himself a self-inflicted wound.

From Sarah Palin’s Facebook page [emphasis added, mine]:
NJ’s Governor’s Race: Candidate Plays Loose With Facts?
Despite what candidate Chris Daggett is claiming, I have never contacted him or his campaign. I have never asked him to drop out of the NJ Governor’s race. Now, if a politician is going to play loose with facts like this, the electorate needs to know it.
So, to the good people of New Jersey, please know that Daggett’s claims are false. I’ve never even suggested he should drop out of the race. But, come to think of it…
- Sarah Palin
Ouch! That’s gonna leave a mark! Since Daggett has brought up the subject, why doesn’t he just drop out?  He is far behind both Corzine and Christie and has no chance of winning. If he really wants to see the end of the Corzine administration, then bow out now and let Chris Christie finish off Corzine.

Furthermore, if Daggett has come to the point of making things up, then he really isn’t the kind of governor New Jersey needs. New Jersey is facing an $8 billion budget shortfall and we need someone who is going to give it to us straight. Lying about Palin pressuring him to quit the race is a sure sign of things to come should by miracle of miracles he gets elected.

So with that, let me be the first to say: Drop Out Daggett!
