ONE GIANT LEAP FOR A WOMAN

I read an article today written by Philip Elliott of the Associated Press. His article began, “Bowing to Republican pressure…” Republican pressure? Doesn’t he mean “Facebook pressure?” I haven’t heard too much coming out of the Republican Party about this at all. The truth has come from a Facebook account belonging to the only politician who seems to know how to tell the truth in today’s world. That politician is, of course, Sarah Palin.

She did nothing more than provide the people of America with the truth of what those in Washington were trying to force down our throats. Governor Palin knows that ANY form of socialized medicine is ALL forms of socialized medicine. She knows that socialized medicine is NOT the answer for the American people. She has pulled no punches in stating the truth. Ask yourself how she knew what this bill said. How did she know about Section 1233? How did she know to call it exactly what it is? She knew it was a death panel. She knew it because she read the bill.

Imagine that! She actually READ the bill. Good grief! I’ll bet you couldn’t find 10 Senators and 15 Representatives who have actually read the bill! Sarah Palin read the bill, saw the problems, went to her computer and typed in her Facebook. And that one woman has done in 2 little entries what the Democrats said couldn’t be done. She proved to the American people that there are too many holes, too many traps, too many illegalities in this bill to allow it to pass without the American people knowing what was in it.

This isn’t the end of it, however. Don’t let up the pressure you’re putting on your own Senators and Representatives because this isn’t the end of the story. We must not allow a compromise on this. We must force our last-term Senators and Representatives to realize that a compromise is not what is needed here. This entire bill needs to be thrown out and rewritten in a totally Democratic and bi-partisan rather than Socialistic manner.

Democrats, you’d better listen to the Republicans, the Independents and the Conservatives out there! We have enough sense to read the bill for ourselves and with Sarah Palin taking the lead by using her public persona to speak in places where our voices aren’t allowed to speak, she has gotten part of our message through your solid wood office doors and into your heads. Listen to her, last-termers, because she’s speaking for us, your constituents, which is more than you’ve done since the time you were first elected to sit in that office with that solid wood door!

The Talking Point the Washington know-nothings are pushing now is “health insurance cooperatives”. Read that “government-run and dictated health insurance cooperatives”. This attitude of do what I say or else absolutely must stop. We can see right through that. “Health insurance cooperatives” means that for-profit hospitals and for-profit health providers will be asked to “cooperate” by donating their hospital rooms, surgical suites, doctors, nurses and other health care workers. They will be providing whatever the government-run cooperative tells them to provide. Make no mistake about it. This is STILL socialized medicine for a socialized America, and we will not stand by and let that happen.

I am so tired of hearing people say that because we don’t want Socialism in America what we’re really saying is that we want people who can’t afford private health insurance to continue having to go without any insurance assistance at all. Nothing could be any farther from the truth. None of us wants that. We want every American Citizen to have the best health coverage possible in our Democratic society. We want them to have it NOW – not 6 months from now. We don’t want a socialistic America in any way, shape, form or fashion. This socialized medicine health care plan that Obama and his Socialistic, Communistic, Facist thugs have been trying to tell us is so wonderful is only the first step that they were taking towards making us a Socialist Country.

They aren’t finished trying, so don’t let up on them. Keep up the pressure. America is a Democracy – an established and fought-for Democracy! We will settle for nothing less. We owe that to our Founding Fathers as much as we do to our grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

So here comes Obama with the Cloward-Pivens Strategy of creating a crisis so people will beg for whatever it is they want to sell us. In his Op Ed piece today, Obama said, “…political maneuvers should be excluded from the debate. In the coming weeks, the cynics and the naysayers will continue to exploit fear and concerns for political gain," he wrote. "But for all the scare tactics out there, what's truly scary — truly risky — is the prospect of doing nothing." Why is that, Mr. Obama? Aren’t you using political maneuvers by trying to railroad the Congress of the United States into railroading the American people?

Look at these two statements: one made by Obama and the other by his White House press secretary, Robert Gibbs.

Obama: "All I'm saying is, though, that the public option, whether we have it or we don't have it, is not the entirety of health care reform," Obama said in Grand Junction, Colo. "This is just one sliver of it, one aspect of it."

Robert Gibbs: "What I am saying is the bottom line for this for the president is, (sic) what we have to have is choice and competition in the insurance market."

Sounds like a Talking Point to me. Sounds like Cloward-Pivens to me. If you don’t appreciate that reference, here’s the Wiki version.

A proposal by Sen. Kent Conrad, D-N.D, would provide consumer-owned nonprofit cooperatives to sell insurance in competition with private industry in much the same way as electric and agriculture co-ops operate. Senator Conrad, who is also the chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, has said that the argument for a government-run public plan is little more than a "wasted effort." He added there are enough votes in the Senate for a cooperative plan to be accepted.

I certainly hope he is incorrect in that assessment. The “cooperatives” would have start-up funding with $3 billion to $4 billion in initial support FROM THE GOVERNMENT but operate as not-for-profit organizations required to maintain the same type of financial reserves private companies are required to keep (insure the insurers?) for times of unexpectedly high claims. This translates to providing socialized medicine for a portion of the population rather than forcing the entire population of the United States to “partake of the benefits of socialized health care.” Socialism called by any other name is still Socialism, don’t you think?

Before I end, I simply must let you know that this is a major victory for Sarah Palin and a major victory for the American people. Every word out of her mouth has been criticized by the mainstream media and her critics in Alaska. I mean that literally. They have all said that she has no education because she doesn’t speak formally. In short, they say that she doesn’t use proper grammar. Seems to me they’re having no trouble understanding her now.

I can’t help wondering if the double standard the media have applied to Governor Palin will also apply to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. Her statement in the article I read opens the door to my suggestion of a double standard. “‘I think there will be a competitor to private insurers,’ Sebelius said. ‘That's really the essential part, is you don't turn over the whole new marketplace to private insurance companies and trust them to do the right thing.’”

Diagram that sentence, syntax majors.

  1. This truly is a wonderful victory for Palin. Let's hope it's the first of many.
