Man Up, Joe Scarborough: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

It seems as if the sharks over at MSNBC have finally managed to sink their liberal teeth into Joe Scarborough. In an opinion piece for Politico, Scarborough takes on Sarah Palin and calls for the GOP establishment to publicly confront the former Alaskan governor. Throughout the entire piece, it is hard to decipher if Scarborough is an establishment, RINO Republican or a liberal hack. Scarborough goes to great lengths in an attempt to discredit Palin, calling her a reality star and questioning how she has time to study up on policy when she has her show, book tour and family to raise. I, for one, find Scarborough's arguments not only demeaning, but sexist as well. Would Scarborough make the same accusations about a man? After all, our very own president was viewed as a rock star during the presidential campaign; furthermore, he spent more time campaigning for president than he did actually playing senator. Would it be fair to ask how he managed to spend time with his family and raise his daughters during this time period? While this is a minute segment of his opinion piece, it sheds light on just how how of touch the Washington establishment types are with modern-day Americans like you and me. Scarborough also touches on so-called sources that he has supposedly talked to about Palin's lack of experience and goes on to write:

What man or mouse with a fully functioning human brain and a résumé as thin as Palin’s would flirt with a presidential run? It makes the political biography of Barack Obama look more like Winston Churchill’s, despite the fact that the 44th president breezed into the Oval Office as little more than a glorified state senator.

Oh really Joe...hmmm. Oh how quickly people forget. Remember the whole 2008 presidential campaign? Remember that Sarah Palin was the only candidate in the running that had executive experience? Not only did she have executive experience, but she was the most popular governor in the country who, when tapped for VP, had an approval rating in the 80 percentile. As the governor of the largest state, she tackled the corruption in Alaska head on and helped to put her state on the map. Unlike many of Mr. Scarborough's establishment friends, whose parents left them large trust funds, Sarah started from the ground up, serving in the PTA, on the city council and as a mayor before becoming governor. Click here to read all of Governor Palin's accomplishments. Word to the wise, Mr. Scarborough: Perhaps it would help if you actually do a little research before throwing insults around, acting like you know it all when you clearly do not. There is such a thing as the internet and fact checking. Did they not teach you that over at MSNBC? Well, seeing that you do work for such a highly regarded network (not), this may very well be the case. Although Mr. Scarborough works for MSNBC, he was a member of the House not too many years back. Did you know that he resigned because he wanted to spend more time with his family? Funny how he is able to criticize someone for resigning when he did the very same thing. It sounds a lot like the pot calling the kettle black if you ask me.

C4P, Tammy Bruce and Me!!! A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

As I write this post, I am in the SUV, on a road trip, heading to my family's cabin at an undisclosed lake near Lake Tahoe. My regular readers know I love my family's cabin from prior posts I have posted. I just cannot wait to get there, run down to the lake, put my feet in the sand and water and just relax. Everyone has their special place, and this is mine. I always say I believe I do my best writing while sitting by the lake.

It's been a week since I attended the awesome Conservatives for Palin meet up here in my hometown of San Diego. I attended the dinner at Salvatore's in downtown San Diego, in which phenomenal no-nonsense Radio Host Tammy Bruce was the featured speaker. It was great to meet so many inspiring, like-minded individuals from all over America- people from California to North Dakota, even Alaska. My sister, Krisha, came with me. While I describe myself as a pop-culture turned political princess and grizzly girl, my sister is the complete opposite. While she likes Sarah Palin, I do not think she gets my whole political obsession with all things politics-ha ha. It was fun getting dressed up and attending the event with her, and i think she walked away thinking her sister is not the only person who lives and breaths politics.

For those of you who listen regularly to Tammy, you know she is a woman of her word. She does not settle for second best. She loves her country, and her political beliefs make sense. She is a patriotic, freedom loving, independent conservative, and I really admire her and look up to her for being the strong, independent woman she is- just like Sarah Palin. I had the honor of sitting next to Tammy during the dinner, before she addressed the meet up attendees. I had first gotten to know Tammy on Twitter, and it made my day when she followed me (you on the tweet side know what this means) and later posted my account of my experience attending the Searchlight Tea Party on her website. How cool is that? Unlike many other radio hosts, Tammy makes it a point to connect with her listeners on a regular basis. This is what makes her so real! She believes in giving people chances and making people's days, like she did when she followed me, posted my blog entry and eventually posted Conservative Girl with a Voice on her blogroll When I finally had the chance to meet her, she was just as genuine as she appears. She is also hilarious too. I thanked her for all she has done for conservatism and for Sarah Palin. When so many women in the media turn their backs and stay silent when Sarah is attacked, Tammy remains vocal, and her voice resonates above the crowd.

Her speech was awesome- one the best I have ever heard. She told us about her time as a former liberal, urged us to continue the fight and stressed that America is still that great country we know her to be. She spoke about my hero Sarah Palin too. One of my favorite parts was when she told us how no other politician has a way of bringing people from all walks of life together. She was right!!! Tammy was right when she said it is Sarah and the tea party that bring so many diverse people together-simply awesome!!!

This was not a Mitt Romney event, this was a Sarah Palin event- it was casual and full of laughter and good times. I even had the honor of posing for a picture with Tammy (that's Tammy and I to the right, as well as Whitney @whit_pip and me) and having her sign my copy of Going Rogue. I'm going to be spending my summer reading her latest book, and next time I see her, I'll have her sign it-hear that, Tammy? ;)

I will never forget her thanking me for the work I was doing for the conservative movement. That was so cool! Hearing this from someone who has done so many wonderful things for this movement. Yep, this woman IS truly the real deal!!! Thanks again, Tammy for taking the time and traveling down to my neck of the woods and spending the night talking to a bunch of Palinistas!!! You're welcome to San Diego anytime!!! Keep speaking the truth, pissing off the left and calling out the Republican establishment!!! God has given you a gift, so continue to stand up and speak out!!! Oh yeah, I almost forgot: Did you ever get to finish your dessert?

Sign this Petition and Show Your Support for Discovery's "Sarah Palin's Alaska" Series!!! A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

It is crucial that we do everything in our power to make sure the Discovery Channel's Sarah Palin's Alaska series goes forward without a hitch. As I type this, liberal haters and the PDS infected anti-Sarah crowd are doing everything in their power to stop Discovery from airing the series. What is their beef? Sarah, oh course. I didn't even have to ask, right? Even though it has been confirmed that this series will NOT be about Sarah, but instead the state of Alaska, these individuals are hell bent on destroying a series that will do nothing, but benefit the Alaska in terms of exposure, tourism not to mention other great things. Moreover, this series will show how beautifully plentiful the state of Alaska is and how much the state has to offer America.

Will you join me and click here to sign a petition to show your support for this Discovery series? Please spread the word; tell your friends!!! After all, we are Sarah's army- a mighty army!!! Join me, and let's fight this good fight together!!!

Targeting the Kindest Among Us: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

When looking at how the Obama children and Palin children are treated by the media and Hollywood, it is clear there is a huge double standard. I don't have to tell you about the countless numbers of attacks that have been aimed at the Palin kids, while the Obama kids are continually praised and left alone. The treatment the Obama kids receive is the same treatment that the Palin kids should be privy to. Remember, you don't have to think that far back to the time when President Obama declared a candidate's children should be "off limits" to attacks. I agree with President Obama for once, but I will take his point one step further. I believe ALL children should be off limits when it comes to personal attacks. Supposedly we live in a time in which tolerance is preached, but isn't it funny that those who preach it, do not seem to practice it themselves?

I don't have to go into detail listing the countless number of attacks the Palin kids have had to endure; you are well aware of many of them, but it is the latest attack that has me sickened with disgust at Hollywood in general. Many of you have probably already heard about the hurtful lengths the FOX Hollywood sitcom Family Guy went to this past Sunday, Valentine's Day. For those of you who are unaware of the controversy at hand, here is what happen: This episode depicted a young woman with Down Syndrome. Not only did they make this woman have a snarky attitude, which is terrible in itself, but it is what was said and whom was referred to that was the most tasteless. When asked by another character to talk a little bit about her family, the young woman replied that her dad was "an accountant" and her mom was "the former governor of Alaska." There it is again- another cut at Sarah and her family. Trig Palin is a child who is not even old enough to tie his shoes, let alone defend himself- He's a small child for goodness sake. Where is the justice? Where is the respect? Where are the special needs advocacy groups to speak out on this injustice? Where is the head of the Special Olympics to speak out about this? After all they recently spoke out against Rahm Emanuel's "retarded" comments. Where are the groups to defend innocent, little Trig Palin?

This is the kind of story that effects all of us personally. Like many of you, I know many individuals who have Down Syndrome. How dare this show make fun of Trig and people like him? I am so disgusted at the tasteless actions of Hollywood, and I sometimes find myself ashamed to even admit that I live in such close proximity to it. Don't get me wrong. I love my state and the great people who live here, but when liberal Hollywood continues to belittle individuals and push a liberal agenda, it does a HUGE disservice not only to others, but to image of California in general. It is wrong to make fun of those with special needs, let alone unfairly portray them as snarky. I have NEVER run across any person with Down Syndrome who has such an attitude. On the contrary, if the Family Guy folks had any common decency, they would have at least portrayed the character in a fair manner, but then again, this is Hollywood, a place where decency seems to have flatlined.

The individuals whom I personally know with Down Syndrome are not snarky or mean in any way; instead, they happen to be the kindest, gentlest, most generous people who walk amongst us. It is no secret that they know they are different than everyone else, yet they have a can-do attitude and are so resilient to those who make it a point to let them know they are different. Why make it harder on them? Why continue to belittle them and treat them as outcast members of our society? I strongly believe that individuals with special needs are what make our country so great. They are so strong and loving that these Family Guy Hollywood types and those like them could learn a thing or two about acceptance and unconditional love. When individuals with special needs are treated differently, they they know it. Trig is a child who will grow up with enough challenges, so why do individuals continue to make it harder for him? It is time for Hollywood to realize that no two individuals are alike. It is time they quite making fun of people and start treat EVERYONE with the respect they deserve.

The attacks the Palin family continues to endure illustrate just how divided our country remains. Remember when Mr. Obama said he was going to bring the country together? I do too. His words sounded great at the time, but the inaction on his part when it comes to this issue speaks volumes especially after he and members of his administration have made hurtful comments about those with special needs in the past. Our country seems more divided than ever. The partisan politics that exist today leave me to wonder if our country will ever heal from its divisive wounds. While many are attacked, it seems as though the attacks aimed at the Palins far outweigh the attacks others receive. When are people going to realize that attacking a child is the most evil attack of all.

My good friend, Camille Friend, who runs the blog The Design Conservative
has written about this issue too. She was nice enough to list the show's sponsors on her site. I encourage you all to read her post here. I also encourage to visit and read this post by Adrienne Ross, another good friend of mine who runs the blog Motivation: Truth.

Super Bowl Weekend is Time to Thank Those who Chose Life: A Post by Eddie Burke

Eddie Burke was nice enough to write an Op-Ed for Rachelle Friberg's blog Conservative Girl with a Voice.

Sarah Palin, Pam Tebow, Linda Burke and Many More...

I was interviewed last week on Pro-Sarah Radio with Host, April-Liesel Binapri. During the interview, April and I discussed why the liberals dislike Sarah Palin so much.

One of the issues that came up was abortion. As we all know, Sarah Palin chose life when confronted with all of the negative possibilities of giving birth to her Down Syndrome child, Trig.

The pro-abortion crowd is so evil, and they have continuously ridiculed Sarah for choosing life. You should see the things they do and say up here in the Last Frontier.

In a photograph of Sarah holding little Trig in her arms, a liberal blogger had the nerve to distort this image by photoshopping my face onto Trig's face. It was disgusting. Because of my support and friendship with Sarah Palin, that’s the way they chose to make fun of her and me.

As we conservatives know, if you’re not liberal, then you’re dumb… and if you’re not dumb, then you’re racist or homophobic or a "Tea-Bagger" or whatever Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals would have them call us. The photoshopped image was just what Saul Alinsky ordered when he said, “make it personal” in his infamous book Rules for Radicals.

My Wife, Linda, and I were confronted with a similar situation 25 years ago. Linda went in for her regularly scheduled sonogram and was subsequently told our daughter, Terrin, might be born Developed-Mentally Disabled or with many serious health issues. Our doctor suggested abortion. We chose life!

Because we chose Life, our Daughter, Terrin, is now 25 years old and is a wife and a stay-at-home mother of two healthy children; she’s not The Heisman Trophy Winning Quarterback, but she holds a Black Belt in Karate and lives a very successful life. Here is the part that drives the liberal feminazis crazy: Terrin loves her husband, and her husband loves her.

We should ask ourselves why the pro-abortion crowd attacks women who choose life, but celebrate the choice of death? For it is not their battle to keep abortion legal that concerns me most; instead, it is their assault on women who choose life that should cause us greater concern.

A more recent example in terms of the debate over abortion is the Tim Tebow story. The following is a clip from a Politico article:

--A Super Bowl ad from the socially conservative Focus on the Family featuring former Florida Gators football star Tim Tebow has created a scuffle between abortion rights groups.

The Heisman Trophy winning quarterback — one of the most celebrated college football players of all time — has cut an ad with his mother Pam, who tells of her decision not to end her 1987 pregnancy in spite of advice from doctors to do so. Pam Tebow and her husband were working as missionaries in the Philippines at the time when doctors there advised her to have an abortion due to health concerns. She did not, and Tim Tebow was born.

As I have watched this debate unfold, I hear the pro-abortion side argue the point that “The ad will restrict a woman's access to reproductive freedom.” How does the advertisement stated above do that? It simply doesn’t!

The ad only informs viewers that Pam Tebow chose life and her decision has been a rewarding one. The ad does not advocate either way; it only tells a story about a personal decision Pam Tebow made.

The reason these pro-abortion groups are throwing such a fit is because the advertisement is true, and they CAN'T combat it. Why is a group that embraces “choice” so afraid of free speech and a choice that Ms. Tebow made?

I write today to thank Sarah Palin, Pam Tebow and a special thank you to my wife, Linda, for having the wisdom and courage to choose life. I was the typical 23-year-old guy in the mid-80s who thought abortion was a reasonable solution to an unreasonable situation, but Linda knew differently…. she was a mother, and she instinctively chose life.

Sarah Palin knew better…. Pam Tebow knew better, and most of America’s women today know better too. Just within the last few years, polling shows that a majority of women define themselves as “pro-life.”

To all the women who chose life, your living children thank you! Some have said Sarah Palin is a “quitter,” but the only quitters I know are those who abort their children.

A Dead Fish, Expletives and Discriminatory Language: The Tale of Rahm Emanuel- A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

It is no secret Rahm Emanuel has a very short fuse and is prone to angrily attacking those around him. Remember the dead fish he sent to a political rival? Yep, he is quite a piece of work. It is what he has done recently that has concerned Americans like myself on fire. A gentleman from the great state of Massachusetts alerted Sarah Palin to an incident between Mr. Emanuel and participants in a strategy session. Instead of instructing the group appropriately, he reportedly referred to the participants as "F---ing retarded." Not only did Mr. Emanuel clearly cross the line, but he did so in a way that was both offensive and derogatory. While you and I know that his words were wrong and should be addressed, the media are once again turning a blind eye to the White House. This isn't the first time a member of the White House has unfairly mocked referred to those with special needs in a derogatory way. Just last year, our very own president made fun of his bowling skills, making fun of the Special Olympics in the process. It took a lot of pressing for the media to finally report the story causing president to apologize for words he NEVER should have uttered in the first place.

You think the Obama Administration would think twice before pulling such a stunt again, but, then again, we are talking about an Administration that prides itself on being a media darling. Can you imagine if President Bush had uttered such a statement on The Late Show? What if Karl Rove had pulled a Rahmbo? I know both of these men would NEVER even think to do such a thing, but if they had, you all know the media would be all over the story, as they should. Where are they now? Where are they to speak out on behalf of individuals with special needs and their families? Then again, who needs the biased media when we have amazing individuals like that gentleman in Mass. and Sarah? Thank God we have a woman who is not afraid to do what the media seem so afraid to do. In calling out Mr. Emanuel, she is literally calling out the entire White House for actions they seem to ignore. Adrienne Ross, my good friend over at the blog Motivation: Truth, has written an excellent post about this incident, and I stand with her and Sarah in calling out Mr. Emanuel for his terrible, disgusting use of words. (I encourage you all to read Adrienne's post here.)

Shame on Rahm Emanuel for using such vulgar language and hurtful words. He obviously thinks he is above any criticism because he seems to make a fool of himself on a regular basis; furthermore, he shows a complete disregard for people in general. Just today, it has been reported the Mr. Emanuel did in fact issue an apology to Tim Shriver, the CEO of the Special Olympics. While I applaud Mr. Emanuel's actions, he shouldn't just be apologizing to the Special Olympics, but to every member of the special need community and their families; after all, his terrible comments effect many. It is only right that Mr. Emanuel right his wrongs and apologize to all, for until he does, people will wonder just how sincere his most recent apology was. Actions speak louder than words, Mr. Emanuel.

Like my friend Adrienne, I too work at a school. When I heard that Mr. Emanuel had made uttered this statement, I immediately thought of the high school students I work with. I work with a variety of students from all walks of life. I would NEVER refer to any one of my students as "retarded." All members of our society should feel welcome and accepted. No one deserves to be called a word that so many have rightfully tried to remove from use. If anyone has the right to speak out in outrage, it is Sarah. As the mother of a child with special needs and an advocate for children and adults with special needs, Sarah understands firsthand how much words like "retarded" hurt individuals.

Individuals with special needs deserve the same amount of respect as you and me. They are hard-working individuals who just want to be treated like everyone else, and when individuals like Rahm Emanuel spew hateful words like that, it is insulting and unfair to these amazing individuals. Wake up, Mr. Emanuel! Wake up, Mr. Obama. Wake up, lame stream media! Wake up and see that by letting comments like this go unnoticed, it seems to insinuate that you welcome dialogue that includes terms like "retarded." One can only hope that you all wise up and become as welcoming and loving as those in our special needs community, for they are true examples of people who exhibit unconditional love, for they live their lives with kind hearts and open minds. They truly do make the world a better place, and for this, the least we could do is show them the respect they deserve!

The following is Sarah's note to Mr. Emanuel:
Are You Capable of Decency, Rahm Emanuel?

The newly-released mind-boggling, record-smashing $3,400,000,000,000 federal budget invites plenty of opportunity to debate the merits of incurring more and more debt that will drown the next generation of Americans. Never has it been possible to spend your way out of debt. So... let the debate begin.

Included in the debate process will be opportunities for our president to deliberate internally the wisdom of this debt explosion, along with other economic, military and social issues facing our country. Our president will discuss these important issues with Democrat leaders and those within his inner circle. I would ask the president to show decency in this process by eliminating one member of that inner circle, Mr. Rahm Emanuel, and not allow Rahm’s continued indecent tactics to cloud efforts. Yes, Rahm is known for his caustic, crude references about those with whom he disagrees, but his recent tirade against participants in a strategy session was such a strong slap in many American faces that our president is doing himself a disservice by seeming to condone Rahm’s recent sick and offensive tactic.

The Obama Administration’s Chief of Staff scolded participants, calling them, “F---ing retarded,” according to several participants, as reported in the Wall Street Journal.

Just as we’d be appalled if any public figure of Rahm’s stature ever used the “N-word” or other such inappropriate language, Rahm’s slur on all God’s children with cognitive and developmental disabilities – and the people who love them – is unacceptable, and it’s heartbreaking.

A patriot in North Andover, Massachusetts, notified me of Rahm’s “retarded” slam. I join this gentleman, who is the father of a beautiful child born with Down Syndrome, in asking why the Special Olympics, National Down Syndrome Society and other groups condemning Rahm’s degrading scolding have been completely ignored by the White House. No comment from his boss, the president?

As my friend in North Andover says, “This isn’t about politics; it’s about decency. I am not speaking as a political figure but as a parent and as an everyday American wanting my child to grow up in a country free from mindless prejudice and discrimination, free from gratuitous insults of people who are ostensibly smart enough to know better... Have you no sense of decency, sir?”

Mr. President, you can do better, and our country deserves better.

- Sarah Palin

UPDATE: Yesterday, I posted a piece about why I am pro-life. I learned this afternoon that phenonmenal blogger, Robert Stacy McCain, was inspired by my post, so he wrote his own post in support of life and mentioned my post. I want to thank him from the bottom of my heart. The Other McCain is THE REAL DEAL FOR SURE!!! Read his must-read post here.

It's happening again. Once again the media, liberal left and former McCain campaign advisers are out and about spreading false information and lies about Sarah Palin. It was no secret this would happen. Even before Sarah announced her plans to write a book, these groups were traveling down the vengeful path of attempting to destroy Sarah and her family's good name. Levi Johnston has even gotten into the mix. Now, while I have made it a rule not to discuss Levi on my blog, I will only use him as an example to illustrate the fact that the liberal msm are using him to further their assault on the Palins. What does this say about the media? What does this say about the state the media find themselves in today? In the words of Sean Hannity, "Journalism is dead." This is hard for me to fathom. As someone who studied journalism, I learned about what journalism should be, not about what it has become. How ironic that the msm go after and wrongly attack a woman who was once a journalist herself? Shame on the msm for attacking a woman for exercising her right to freedom of speech. There is a valid answer for this in that they believe in the need and power of free speech just as long as they agree with what is being said. When Sarah speaks out against the Obama Administration, the in-the-tank-for-Obama media see this as a threat to its Pro-Obama message. Since they see Sarah as a threat, they will do everything in their power to discredit her even if this means reporting erroneous stories and showing photoshopped pictures, which happens to be their latest stunt.

Just the other day, I happened to be watching the news and sipping on my morning cup of coffee, when I began to channel surf. I immediately stopped surfing when I saw an image of Sarah appear on the television screen. Dylan Ratigan of MSNBC was doing a report on Sarah and while the report was not the worst I had seen come from this liberal network, it was the photos this network chose to show of Sarah that were clearly unfair given two of them were not of Sarah herself, but instead photoshopped images. You all probably know of the photos I'm referring to. One of the photoshopped pictures had Sarah's head placed on an image of a flag-bikini-clad woman. The other photo had Sarah's head placed on an image of a woman in a black mini-skirt. Not only was this wrong of Ratigan and MSNBC, but it is extremely sexist and once again clearly illustrates the double standard of treatment conservative women receive when compared to their liberal counterparts. MSNBC had to have known these photos were photoshopped. These two photos were proven fake months ago. Once again, MSNBC is illustrating just how out of touch and bias it really is. I urge you to hold Ratigan and MSNBC accountable. Voice your outrage here on Ratigan's Twitter page. We need to continue to hold the media accountable, and let them know that we are on to their game and will not stand for false, biased reporting.

Over the course of the next few weeks, be prepared for an onslaught of attacks aimed at Sarah as she travels across America meeting average-day "Mainstreet U.S.A." folks like you and me. The media, liberal left and so-called McCain advisers have already ramped up their attacks of Sarah in an attempt to cover their hides, which is why you see these individuals doing everything in their power to place the blame on her. The Steve Schmidts and Nicolle Wallaces of this world are obviously going to try to blame Sarah when we all know that they are really the individuals whom should be blamed. While we Sarah supporters know this to be the case, others are beginning to see the light as well. I'm sure it is no surprise to you to learn people's belief in the overall credibility of the media is at an all-time low. It is not hard to see why when you have examples like the MSNBC report above.

MSNBC is not the only media outlet to pull outlandish shenanigans. We have seen biased reporting from every medium whether it be print or broadcast. Most recently, the Associated Press (AP) did one of the most unethical things in the history of journalism, although you wouldn't even know they had done anything of the sort because the liberal msm refuses to report it. The AP wrongfully got a hold of an advance copy of Sarah's book, but the story doesn't end there. They, then, put 11 so-called "fact checkers" to work to make sure the book was fully accurate, and now, they have resulted to reporting false information. Give me a break. This further illustrates how much of a joke the msm have become. Sarah isn't letting them off the hook. Here's the Facebook note she posted yesterday morning regarding the incident:

Really? Still Making Things Up?

By Sarah Palin Sunday at 6:47 a.m.

"The book tour starts this week, and I look forward to it! I'm most looking forward to meeting many of you, shaking your hands, and telling you,"Thanks for loving America." I'll give you a scoop here and tell you what's on the book's Dedication Page - it's dedicated to you - Patriots - who love the U.S.A. as much as I do.

Amazingly, but not surprisingly, the AP somehow nabbed a copy of the book before it was released. They're now erroneously reporting on the book's contents and are repeating many of the same things they spewed during the campaign and afterwards. We've heard 11 writers are engaged in this opposition research, er, "fact checking" research! Imagine that - 11 AP reporters dedicating time and resources to tearing up the book, instead of using the time and resources to "fact check" what's going on with Sheik Mohammed's trial, Pelosi's health care takeover costs, Hasan's associations, etc. Amazing.

We'll keep setting the record straight, and we'll keep reminding some in the media that Americans are very tired of their non-objective reporting. A great, recent post that accomplishes this is a Conservatives4Palin post. It's got some nice fact checking included. As always, they did a great job holding some of the media accountable for spreading more misinformation and for making things up. You can read it here. Enjoy!

And I can't wait to see you! God bless the fight for freedom! Keep up the great work, Patriots who love this country."

- Sarah Palin

Sarah is right!!! We ALL need to continue to hold the media accountable. It is important, now more than ever, that we be on the lookout for inaccurate, biased reporting. Remember, we are a strong and proud army of Palin supporters. Together, we can accomplish just about anything. As Sarah travels the country, many of you will have the opportunity to meet her and shake her hand. Make sure to tell her "thank you" for everything she has done for our country and for everything she will continue to do. She has inspired so many, and the very mention of her name sparks fear in the minds of the left. Whenever they make fun of her, call her unintelligent or misinformed, know this is code-speak for the fear they have of her. More and more individuals are coming around and realizing the power she holds. Rush Limbaugh believes in her, and just yesterday in an interview with FNC's Chris Wallace, Liz Cheney voiced her belief in Sarah. Yep, Sarah is continuing to be the powerful force we all knew she would be. Was there ever any doubt? NO. Like you, I will waiting impatiently like a child on Christmas Eve for my gift to arrive in the mail. And I can't wait to discuss Sarah's book with others who are reading it too. I encourage you all to follow Sarah on her Twitter account as she shares what life is like on the book-tour trail. Kinda brings back familiar memories of life on the campaign trail except for one important detail: This time, Sarah's in charge, and this time, she's GOING ROGUE!!! WOOO HOOO!!! Make sure to visit Sarah when she makes a stop in your neck of the woods.

Fact, NOT Fiction: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

The revolution that is conservatism- that's what I believe is beginning to take place all across America. While many will try to dispute this and tell me that I'm just a young, inexperienced blogger, I know what I write is true. Now, let's get back to this whole idea of my being naïve just because I'm a young woman. I don't know how often I get this explanation. Usually, the conversation will start something like this: "While I commend you on having the drive, determination and passion for writing a blog, you're just a young woman, what can you possibly know about conservatism?" If I had a dollar for every conversation that goes like that, I'd probably be a millionaire by now. While I'm still learning on my conservative journey, I know who I am, and I know what values and beliefs I hold most dear. I'm not some young, wishy-washy blonde who just sits back and allows others to sway my opinion. I believe in freedom and liberty. I believe in the Constitution. I believe the key aspects of conservatism are fiscal responsibility and a strong national defense. I believe in the free market, importance of tax cuts and personal responsibility. I believe all life is precious and sacred. I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. All of these things work together to define who I am as a young conservative woman.

There is a myth out there about conservatives that I continually have to disprove. Many individuals have the idea that if you’re young, that automatically makes you a liberal. Well, I'm proof that this is simply not the case. It drives me mad to hear this argument from people. Sarah Palin is living, breathing proof that cool, hip women are conservative too. Sarah is proof that you can be a proud female conservative. I am a proud conservative, and I will forever be grateful to Sarah for dismissing this myth. During the 2008 campaign, I was amazed at the large amount of young, energetic conservatives from all across the country who love their country as much as I do. While it is true that many young people do identify themselves as liberal, the number of young people who identify themselves as conservatives is growing by the day.

There are many of us young conservatives out there, contrary to what people like Meghan McCain will try to tell you. I used to really respect Meghan McCain. As a fellow spunky blonde myself, I really looked up to her because I could relate to her in so many ways. During the campaign, I really admired the way Meghan carried herself and supported her father. I enjoyed reading her blog about life on the campaign trail. During the campaign, she supported Sarah and her family, and I really liked how she would continually come to Sarah's defense. As we all know, this all changed on the evening of November 4, 2008, after the Republican Party lost the election. Suddenly, Meghan McCain didn't look so cool and hip to me anymore. It is as if she became a different person. She no longer stuck up for Sarah and her family. She started to distance herself from the conservative wing of the Republican Party. While it is no secret that she was never a conservative, I still respected and admired her for what I thought were good intentions. I no longer look to Meghan as a Republican role model. Perhaps Meghan got too involved with the Rino wing of the GOP, or she got too involved with the establishment, but I will never understand how she could turn a complete 180 when it came to Sarah and her family. Doesn't she realize how much Sarah helped her father? Without Sarah, Meggie Mac and her dad may have continued to carry their own bags at the airport.

While Meghan was hip during the campaign, Sarah was hipper. While people enjoyed seeing the McCain family at the rallies throughout the country, they were really there to see Sarah and hers. I believe Meghan McCain is jealous of Sarah, plain and simple. She is not alone. In a new book that was written by two reporters embedded with the McCain campaign, it appears John McCain felt he was being overshadowed by Sarah too, which they claim is the reason why Sarah was not allowed to address the crowd election night. While I cannot confirm this, it makes pretty good sense to me.

As you are all well aware, the "big tent" talk has erupted yet again, and Rinos like Meghan McCain are voicing their support in favor of it. I'd hate to tell Miss McCain, but the whole "big tent" theory is why her father lost the election. While I am a conservative and disagree with John McCain on many issues, I still supported him after Rudy Giuliani pulled out of the race because I felt he was the best candidate of those who were still in the race. Those who continue to argue for the "big tent" seem to forget all about the election of 2008. They seem to forget that the conservative wing of the Republican Party was up in arms when it learned McCain was the last man standing. In choosing Sarah, the McCain camp picked an awesome individual with true conservative values.

Although many conservatives soon came back to the Republican Party's side, there were many who could not get over the fact that the party had such a moderate candidate. I want everyone to feel that they are welcome to join the Republican Party, but I want them to join knowing that the party will not change the values that made it the great party it once was. That is what is happening. The Republican Party has dramatically shifted away from its core values and principles, and until it returns to its core values and principles, it will remain out in the wilderness. I know it is impossible for everyone in a party to agree on every single issue, and people need to remember this, but when you start talking about adopting a "big tent" philosophy, the Republican Party will lose its identity. It is the Republican Party, not the Democratic Party. When you start appeasing to everyone's wants and desire, chaos WILL ensue.

I am so proud to be a young conservative, and I know I'm not alone. Along this amazing journey, I have met so many great individuals whom I have so much in common with. While I have gotten to know people of all ages and walks of life, it is the other young conservatives whom I most identify with. I love connecting with fellow young conservatives because I know it will be up to the younger generations to stand strong on their conservative principles. We are the candidates of the future. Sarah has brought all of us together.

While many of us have never personally met her, she is the reason we connected. I find many of those I meet are just like me. They were never politically active before the 2008 election, but the election personally effected and changed them for the better. Now, we find ourselves doing everything in our power to spread the message of conservatism. While we may be a smaller army than our liberal counterparts, we are growing in number by the day. I guarantee we will continue to grow big and strong as more young people realize President Obama will not keep his campaign promises. We will stand with open arms and welcome whomever wants to join our conservative army. We are united for a common cause, spreading the common sense message of conservatism, and we will not back down, and we will not grow weary and tired. We are in it for the long haul, for our country is worth fighting for.

Conservative Revolution Brewing: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

It happened right after the presidential election last year; now, it's happening once again. Some liberal democrats and so-called "big tent" rinos are placing the blame on Sarah Palin for Hoffman's loss last night in the NY 23 race. Fellow readers, I knew and you knew that this would happen. There's always a fall guy, and in this case, a fall woman. In blaming Sarah for Hoffman's loss, we once again see just how wrong and ill placed these individuals are. There is a very good reason for why they blame Sarah, and I have a feeling you know what it is. What other reason would there be for placing the blame on her other than the fact that they fear her and the power she possesses. Sarah is a threat to everything the left hopes to accomplish. Not only is she not afraid to speak, but whenever she does, people take notice, which explains why so many hang, then attack her on her every word.

The NY 23 race is proof yet again of Sarah's power as a conservative Republican. While the media, leftists and moderate Republicans will place some of the blame on her, there is no doubt that without Sarah's endorsement of Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman, he would not have come close to winning yesterday. Take this Daily Kos Poll, which was taken before Sarah endorsed Hoffman. Before Sarah endorsed him, he had 27% of people supporting him. Last night, after the election results were tallied, Hoffman got 45% of the vote. You do the math, and you will see that her endorsing him helped him gain an additional 18% of the vote. In the end, Hoffman came within about four percentage points of beating the Democrat and the Republican. Although Dede Scozzafava dropped out of the race this past Saturday, she still had about six percent of the vote. That's not all. Scozzafava ended up going against her party when she endorsed the Democrat, Bill Owens. So, you see, the power of conservatism did win out yesterday. The power of conservatism was seen yesterday. The power of conservatism echoed throughout the country yesterday as 46 percent of upstate NY residents sent a message loud and clear that they are fed up with both the Republican and Democratic Parties. As a conservative, I am so proud of all those who chose values and integrity over party.

About a month ago, Hoffman was a little-known candidate from a third party. I have to admit that I knew very little about this race and the candidates in it. This all changed when Fred Thompson and, then, Sarah Palin took the brave step forward and endorsed him. Just before her endorsement, I had begun to study this race after reading some articles over at the Palin Twibe and the Sarah Palin Internet Web Brigade. I wanted to write about Hoffman and my support for his candidacy. Right before I endorsed him on my blog, Sarah endorsed him too. I had high hopes that she would endorse him, and when she did, she illustrated everything I knew to be true about her. She demonstrated yet again just how much of the real deal she is. She IS one of us. It IS because of her that Hoffman rose from the ashes and began to get national attention. It IS because of her that thousands from all over the country lent their money and time to his grassroots campaign. It IS because of her that members of this rapidly growing conservative movement know that our message is being heard and resonating across this great land. Just as she helped John McCain a year ago, she helped Doug Hoffman last night. Don't let the liberal left and moderate Republicans tell you differently, for they want you to shut up and sit down. Sarah released a statement last night following the NY 23 election in which she wrote:

A Victory for Common Sense and Fiscal Sanity:

Congratulations to the new Governors-Elect of Virginia and New Jersey! I'd also like to offer a special word of support to the new Lieutenant Governor-Elect of New Jersey, Kim Guadagno, the first woman to hold that office.

Of course, the real victors in this election are the ordinary men and women who voted for positive change and a return to fiscal sanity. Your voices have been heard.

The race for New York's 23rd District is not over, just postponed until 2010. The issues of this election have always centered on the economy - on the need for fiscal restraint, smaller government, and policies that encourage jobs. In 2010, these issues will be even more crucial to the electorate. I commend Doug Hoffman and all the other under-dog candidates who have the courage to put themselves out there and run against the odds.

To the tireless grassroots patriots who worked so hard in that race and to future citizen-candidates like Doug, please remember Reagan's words of encouragement after his defeat in 1976:

"The cause goes on. Don't get cynical because look at yourselves and what you were willing to do, and recognize that there are millions and millions of Americans out there that want what you want, that want it to be that way, that want it to be a shining city on a hill."

The cause goes on.
- Sarah Palin

Sarah writes what so many of us feel about the hopes and dreams we have for America. Just as Ronald Reagan before her, she is able to make us realize that we will conquer, and we will win in the end. Look at how far we have come over this past year! Last year on election night, I had tears in my eyes as I realized that America had perhaps just let go of an individual who could have gone on to become one of the the greatest vice presidents of all time. I was heart broken as I thought of how hard of a battle the election was. I knew America was going to change dramatically over the course of the next year, and this is exactly what has happened. Our country has changed and not for the better.

Looking back at how I felt a year ago, I may have been heartbroken and felt defeated, but I am able to say that a year later, I feel so blessed to be a proud member of a movement that is rapidly growing by the day. The conservative movement is on fire, and this is a fire that is not going to be out by even the most powerful of fire extinguishers. Sarah gives me hope and optimism that America will once again be the beacon of light and that beautiful, shining city on a hill. She has done so much for our country. Sarah's tireless service and dedication are two things that no liberal can ever take away from her.

While she continues to fight the good fight, I will continue to fight the good fight, and you all need to continue the good fight as well. Together, we stand strong, and together we can knock down any barrier that stands in our way. Keep up the good fight. I encourage you to continue to attend tea parties and keep the pressure on. I encourage you to start a blog. Think of it as a daily journal that you are sharing with you fellow man and woman. Writing this blog has opened so many doors, but most importantly, it has allowed me to spread the common sense message of conservatism and allowed me to meet so many amazing like-minded people. So, fellow readers, let us continue down this road together united for a common goal and purpose, for in the end, we WILL win the battle and conquer the war.

They Just Don't Get It: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

When are people going to wake up? More specifically, when are liberals going to wake up and realize that it's okay for a woman to have a full-time job while raising children? As I was eating breakfast, looking out at the beautiful, calm lake, I began to ponder what I would write my next blog entry about. I continued to think about this while doing the breakfast dishes. While I was doing the dishes, my mom's dear friend stopped by the cabin and was chatting with my mom when she asked me what I had been up to lately. I told her I was still doing a little tutoring, but was excited about how my life had changed in the last year. I began to tell her how I had gotten the chance to be a guest on Eddie Burke's AK radio show as well as how I gotten involved as the San Diego Regional Organizer for the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee. Now, as soon as I had said this, I knew I was going to get one of two reactions. My mom's friend was either A) going to love Sarah or B) going to detest Sarah. This is because there is something about Sarah that brings out the best or worst in people. As soon as I opened my mouth, I was ready for whatever reaction I would receive. When I saw the expression on her face, as I told her, I immediately knew I was talking to someone in category "B." It wasn't her facial expressions that bothered me, but what she said in her response. Instead of commending me on wanting to get involved in the political process, the first thing out of her mouth was "I can't stand her." When I asked why, I was expecting her to tell me it was because of her politics or something she had said during the campaign like the "paling around with terrorists" comment, but no. Once again, the negative perceptions about Sarah became personal. Her main argument for why she disliked Sarah was because Sarah "paraded that needy child around with her everywhere she went." Not only was this comment disturbing, but the fact that she didn't refer to baby Trig by name, but as that "needy child," sincerely bothered me to the point in which anger arose inside of me. I don't know about you, but "needy" is far from a term I would use to describe little Trig. "Loving," "nurtured," "sweet" and "adorable," are just some of the words I would use to describe this wonderful child. A "needy child" is one who is in need of food, shelter and clothing, and last I checked, Trig is in need of none of those; in fact, he is a happy, healthy, chubby baby as Sarah said not too long ago. Now, you all know good and well liberals would not be describing Trig in this way if he didn't have Down Syndrome or was the child of a democratic politician, or even the child of a male politician for that matter- oh, no. If it had been anyone other than Sarah Palin, people would be praising the individual. Yet, because it is Sarah, the left throw cheapshots and discriminate against both her and her family. Trig is an innocent little baby who, as he grows up, will want to be treated as any other child. Yet, the left see children like Trig as a burden, not the joys that come with life. This is the problem with today's society. Instead of embracing all individuals, people are judged on their outter appearance instead of their hearts and what is on the inside. What is separating a Down Syndrome baby from any other baby? An extra chromosome. To me, that makes them extra special; they are God's children too. Individuals with Down Syndrome are the most loving, kind-hearted people, and I know the mean-hearted liberals out there could learn a thing or two from them. Thank God for Sarah and Todd. They have brought the issue of the importance of understanding, supporting and loving special needs children to the forefront. I have learned so much from them through their love for precious Trig. It is because of people like Todd and Sarah who illustrate what unconditional love is- what it means to love and be loved. Love has no bounds, and they have widened the awareness for supporting special needs children throughout this great country and the world.

The thing that upsets me most is that people continue to bash Sarah without ever taking the time to actually get to know her. They think they know her, but they don't. As I have stated in a previous post ("A True Modern-Day Feminist") , Sarah represents everything liberal women have fought so hard against. Her very existence drives them mad. They are so closed minded that they are unable to see the Sarah we have come to know and love. If only they opened their eyes, the would see what we see. As a young conservative, I have no problem with someone disagreeing with politicians based upon political ideology, but taking personal cheapshots is uncalled for. When liberals bash Sarah's family, they are bashing her as well. Trig was not paraded around anymore than Barack Obama and Joe Biden's children and grandchildren were. During the campaign, Sarah's children did not pose for "People Magazine" or "US Weekly" week after week, not that there was anything wrong with that. It should be up to the parents, not outsiders to decide these decisions. The only reason liberals did not like seeing Sarah and her children together at events and on stage at the Republican National Convention is because it was a reminder to them that she CHOSE life; she CHOSE to carry her sweet baby with Down Syndrome to full-term. Even the women on "The View" could not understand why a woman would do this to her children. Perhaps Elisabeth Hasselbeck put it best when she said Sarah Palin is no different than any other proud parent. As the wife of a professional football player, she said she could relate to Sarah because there were times when her kids would be up at odd hours just so they could see their daddy after a game. You can't take back the time spent with your children, so grab any precious moments you can. It is easy to see that the Palin children are not only loved but nurtured as well. Todd and Sarah have two adult children who know have learned the value of hard work. Track is risking his life to protect his country, and Bristol is a wonderful mother who chose life. In choosing life, she is now helping other young girls by speaking out about the value of abstinence and the hardships that come with being a young mother. She is a great role model for young women and other young mothers to see that they too can complete their education and be successful. She wants to make a life for herself without depending on the goverment. Willow and Piper are two young girls with bright futures ahead of them, and little Trig and Tripp are two little boys who are growing up surrounded by a lot of love. Todd and Sarah have instilled in their children great values, and this is present in the way in which they lead their lives.

Just because Sarah was a governor, did not mean she couldn't fullfill her duties as governor while raising her family. It burns me up when I hear liberals say that she should never have worked after learning that she would be having a child with special needs. So, let me get this straight: They want Sarah to play the role of dutiful housewife just because she has a child with Down Syndrome? What year is this, 1950? I'm sorry but you don't hear the left telling a democratic politician with a special needs child that he/she shouldn't be working? Not only is this a sexist, discriminatory statement, but it is downright disgusting. This is yet another symptom of Palin Derangement Syndrome (PDS). How dare the left treat Sarah or her child as if they were any different than any other individual? This is another problem with today's society. Instead of embracing Sarah as the strong woman she is, and Trig as the beautiful child he is, the left feels the need to dictate how she should and should not parent. I guarantee no one ever questioned Michelle Obama while she was making over $300,000/year working for a Chicage hospital why she wasn't staying at home full-time to be with her children, or asking Joe Biden why he remained Delaware's senator after his first wife died in a car crash when his two sons were so young? Instead, both Michelle and Joe were praised for being able to juggle both duties as parent and employee, which they should be. Why can't Sarah be given the same respect and praise? I know why, and you know why, fellow readers. It is because Sarah has an "R" after her name. Even though she is a maverick, blazes her own trail, and does not walk with the Washington herd, the liberal left's extreme hatred for her makes her a target. The very fact that she is a conservative woman is yet another reason (For more on Sarah and the treatment she receives by women on the liberal left, please read my post "A True Modern-Day Feminist."). In questioning the president and his policies, the left claim she is asking for it. What ever happened to our First Amendment right to question our leaders? It is scary to think what our country could look in three years, let alone what restrictions our leaders may put on our right to speak out and voice our concerns.

I just wish the liberal left would let go of their personal hatred for Sarah and stick to her record as city council member, mayor and governor. It is real disheartening that every time I ask someone what it is that makes them dislike Sarah, it always turns personal, and these loons are praised and cheered by the liberal msm. Yet, when a conservative or someone who disagrees with President Obama is asked why they don't like him and these people give political reasoning or political ideology as a response, they are called racist, angry mobsters (See my post "Sarah is Right, Again"). Sarah is a good, honest woman- a woman I am proud to call a role model. In responding to my mother's friend, I told her:

"Sarah gives me hope that I may hold a political office one day. She worked hard to get to the point in which she is in. As someone who did not go to a fancy ivy league school, she proves that if you work hard, you can accomplish great things. She is a great mother who loves her children and treats them as equals. She and Todd love their son Trig so much so that they chose to give him life when so many babies with special needs are aborted. I commend them for that and forever will hold them in high regard for doing so."

Sarah illustrated her love for her children in her decision to resign. In resigning, she put her family above party; furthermore, she put her love for America and its people above the politics-as-usual approach so many have become accustomed to. Name me another politician who has ever done that? She is living proof that you do not need to hold a public title in order to accomplish great things. This is a woman who KNOWS what is important. Not only is she a loving mother, but a woman with a servant's heart. Sarah has already done great things outside of the governor's office. One of the most important things she has done is helping to shed light on the Healthcare plans the Obama Administration has for America. It was because of her that the "death panel" language was removed from the House version of the bill. When Sarah speaks, people listen. Although people may not agree with her, they take notice. I encourage you all to become a fan of Sarah on her facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/sarahpalin. We live during a time in which you don't know whom to trust because it seems as if no one is listening, but I know and you know whom we can trust: Sarah. She HAS proven that she DOES listen to us and hears us loud and clear; it's about time. We NEED Sarah's voice during these troubling times!
