Sarah Palin To Obama: Happy Birthday You Predictable, Tiring, Ineffective Hypocrite!

By Gary P Jackson

Sarah Palin sent Barack Obama a nice little birthday present today:

Obama’s Predictable, Tiring, Ineffective Lecture; Would Someone Call Him on the Hypocrisy, Please?

Congress’ approval rating is at 11% because politicians thwart the will of the people, explode our national debt, and practice reckless deficit spending while hoping we’ll sit down and shut up about their nonsensical agenda. President Obama just made the AFL-CIO suffer through another “Blame Bush” lecture today as he, as usual, put the car in reverse and looked backward to find someone else to blame for problems he helped cause and now aggressively perpetuates.

Okay, Mr. President, you tell us we have to keep looking backward (as we’re steered toward the cliff), so let’s go:

Barack Obama was part of the problem while in Congress. Senator Obama pushed the fiscally irresponsible measures that Democrats, who held the majority, advanced while holding the government’s purse strings. And now, as President, he’s not just one of the pack anymore as a mere contributor to the problem – he now leads the problem. We are sick and tired of President Obama pointing his finger and screeching through his blame game about what he “inherited.

Up until 18 months ago he was fully engaged in that Congressional herd mentality of the Left as he just went with the flow, adding to the debt and deficit, instead of bucking his party’s leadership to stop the recklessness. (Did you ever hear him as an independent voice standing up and speaking out against his Democrat party’s overspending and over reach?

Come to think of it, did you ever hear of his congressional record at all? For the life of me I can’t think of any time he used his bully pulpit as a sitting U.S. Senator to lead free market, equality-respecting pro-private sector efforts, nor to change up actions he now conveniently condemns. He could have refudiated them all.)

His lecture today must have been tough for our good union brothers and sisters to sit through, though it may have resonated with some union bosses who desire their members to adopt a herd mentality, too, so as to not dare speak up against what Washington is doing to us.

Surely the good, hard working Americans who happen to be union members know, too, that Obama’s blame game is getting old. It’s obviously ineffective, it’s the antithesis of good leadership, and it reeks of hypocrisy. A complicit media won’t call President Obama out on this, so let’s do it ourselves, friends. It helps put his criticisms and fiscal problems in context.

In contrast to President Obama’s lack of leadership in getting our country on a responsible fiscal path, there are some who have a positive agenda, including Rep. Paul Ryan who has shared ideas that deserve a fair hearing. He knows why we need to rein in the government’s reckless spending and how it can be done.

Please read this excerpt of an article by Rep. Ryan and be thankful there are some who remember why they were hired to serve us in Congress – it sure wasn’t to merely vote “present” as the powers-that-be jam the car in reverse while hoping we won’t remember who dug the ditch we’re headed toward.

Reducing deficits should begin with a budget plan to cut spending, yet incredibly Congress abandoned its legal obligation to write a budget this year, which means the leadership has abandoned even the pretense of limiting government’s insatiable spending appetite. I hope the Debt Commission, of which I am a member, will identify potential major spending reductions when we publish our report in December. But waiting for somebody else to suggest cuts was no excuse for Congress to dismiss its mandate to write America’s budget.

There’s no shortage of ideas for cuts we could make immediately. Last year I identified $4.8 trillion we could cut. Right now we could easily reduce spending by $1.3 trillion by: rescinding $266 billion in unused stimulus funds and another $16 billion in leftover TARP money; saving $925 billion by cutting and capping discretionary spending at 2008 levels; imposing a hiring and pay freeze on government employees, saving $65 billion; and reforming Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the proximate originators of the home mortgage meltdown, to save $30 billion. I would also give the President line-item veto authority to realize further savings.

The American people and both parties see the need to get federal spending under control. Any time congressional leaders want, we can start by cutting unnecessary expenditures. Let’s not punish business and workers by raising their taxes at a time when the economy is struggling to return to a growth path—that would only make a desperate situation worse.

Rep. Ryan is right about not raising taxes.

Lest we forget, the Obama-Pelosi-Reid Democrats have a special New Years gift in store for American taxpayers. On January 1, 2011, they are going to hit us with the largest tax increase in U.S. history. By allowing the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts to expire on New Years Eve, the Democrats are going to impose a $3.8 trillion tax increase on Americans over the next decade.

Instead of admitting that this massive tax hike is just an attempt to get hardworking taxpayers to continue to fund their reckless spending, the Democrats are selling it is as a tax on “the rich” to increase revenues to pay down the debt. However, history shows that raising the top tax rate doesn’t lead to increased revenues. It’s what Arthur Laffer describes as a tax the rich Catch-22: the highest earners, who are expected to bear most of the tax burden, generally also have the best tax advisers to help them get around it.

Regardless of what the Democrats want you to believe, this is a tax increase on every American who pays taxes. Families will suffer because the Democrats’ tax hike will reinstate the marriage penalty, cut the child tax credit in half, abolish various personal exemptions, and impose limits on itemized deductions like home mortgage interest and charitable contributions. Investors and savers would suffer through increases in the top rates in long-term capital gains and qualified dividends. And the Alternative Minimum Tax would end up hitting 15 million taxpayers – up from 4 million in 2009.

We’ll all be feeling the pinch, but the ones who will be hit hardest by this massive tax hike will be America’s small business owners – the businesses that create up to 70% of all jobs in this country. According to a recent report by the Congressional Joint Committee on Taxation, small business owners will pay over half the taxes raised when the Democrats increase the top two tax brackets. In an already anemic jobless recovery, the last thing government should do is to impose even higher tax burdens on job creators. Instead of hurting “the rich,” such measures would end up hurting the unemployed.

To burden American families and small businesses with the largest tax hike in history while the economy is teetering on the brink of a potential double-dip recession is madness. It’s another reason why we must elect commonsense fiscal conservatives in the upcoming midterm elections this November. We simply cannot afford the Obama-Pelosi-Reid Democrats. We need people in Congress who know that the best way to get our economy moving again is to cut taxes, not raise them by unprecedented amounts.

You might have noticed that the Democrats have been throwing around the phrase “common sense” more often these days, but actions speak louder than words. We need real leadership in Washington across the board. We need common sense solutions, not finger-pointing, buck-passing, and lecturing.

- Sarah Palin

It's amazing that Obama is still on the "blame Bush" and "blame the evil Republicans" for everything program, especially since the Marxist-democrats have been in control of Congress for almost four years. This strategy is not working among the voters though.

America is in dire need of leadership, and Obama, as Sarah has pointed out, doesn't have cojones to look out for all Americans. Seemingly all Obama knows how to do is party, play golf, and campaign. That's what a "community organizer" is: a rabble rouser, a campaigner. They are used to raising hell for whatever cause they are shilling for. Organizers like Obama are good at ginning up the rent-a-mobs, and making up catchy chants, as they attack good and decent people all in the name of "social justice", but like a dog that finally catches the car, once in charge, they are totatally clueless about what to do with it. Just worthless.

This is why November is so important. We must have strong, experienced leadership elected to Congress, to put a check on Dear Leader and his crew. We need the steady leadership of sober, responsible adults.

In honor of Obama's birthday, and Sarah's gift, here's a nice little palette cleanser.

Governor Palin On Hannity - August 4 2010

Gov. Palin was on Hannity tonight and discussed several topics including: The Arizona Border, Health Care, Taxes, the New York Mosque controversy, and Obama's plummeting approval ratings.

Greg Sargent, WaPo Lies About Palin Endorsements

As we've seen since Sarah Palin became an international figure almost two years ago, Obama leftists, using Alinsky tactics are constantly inventing memes in a desperate attempt to discredit her. Greg Sargent, who writes a column for the Washington Post is just one of many on the BS bandwagon.

Those Whose Opinions Matter

In, Still more proof Sarah Palin is toxic outside her bubble, Sargent cites a Pew poll which says that a Sarah Palin endorsement is a negative for her endorsed candidates. We don't know who the Pew poll sampled. We don't particularly care either. The only sample that matters is is the field of candidates that Gov. Palin has endorsed. Have a few lost? Sure. But, the vast majority of them - nearly 86% have either won primaries or are on the way to winning primaries.

Galvanizing

If a Sarah Palin endorsement is such a negative, why is it that the non-endorsed in a contested primary often go sour grapes? Witness the Allegretti meltdown when NY-13 candidate Michael Grimm secured her endorsement (Disclosure: US 4 Palin Publisher, Ron Devito is campaigning for Grimm), and who can forget Devore's reaction to Fiorina's endorsement? Those whose opinions matter - the candidates - tend to covet a Sarah Palin endorsement. Those who don't get the endorsement tend to get quite angry about it and make a big stink. So much for life in Sargent's alternate universe.

Though Sargent does not use the word "polarizing," his assertion that "A recent Gallup poll noted a striking disconnect in public attitudes towards Palin..." is tantamount. No sir, the only aspect of Gov. Palin that is polarizing is her sunglasses. Her photographer Shealah Craighead might possibly use a polarizing filter on occasion, so that might be another instance of polarization on the part of the Palin camp. Earth to Sargent: Gov. Palin galvanizes us.

Leftist Polls - Of Course They Don't Like Her

Sargent cites polls by what he admits is leftist: "the Dem firm Public Policy Polling" to assert that people don't like her and that she should just go away. How many hundreds of thousands of people have traveled thousands of miles and spent thousands of dollars to bond with Sarah Palin for 10 seconds? How many people spend easily a full work week each week on top of their jobs, blogging and doing other Sarah Palin-related work in support of her, motivated by nothing more than love and respect for her?

Context: It Means Everything

In an earlier version of "Toxic," Sargent bemoaned Gov. Palin's use of "cojones," because women don't have testicles, and according to him, Gov. Palin did not know what the word means. Sir, Gov. Palin knows exactly what "cojones" means and specifically picked it, because it was apropos.

Sargent might spend a little time learning about something called context. The term and its English equivalent is also slang and synonymous with: courage, bravery, fortitude, guts, strength. That was clearly Gov. Palin's intent: to state that Gov. Brewer has courage and Obama does not. Govs. Brewer and Palin indeed have much more courage than Obama. Gov. Palin has and routinely does things that many men would not even attempt. She has the broken bones to prove it.

Sargent would not have been asserting that women somehow lack courage, bravery, fortitude, guts, and strength. That would be sexist. Misogynist. Interestingly, his complaint is gone. We'll leave it to the reader to speculate why.

We have news for Sargent: Sarah Palin is not going to sit down and shut up. Neither are we. And, when we read the leftist media, we don our hip-waders and keep a firm grip on our shovels.

Jedediah Bilah Interviews Joe Miller, AK Sen. Candidate

Manhattan-based conservative commentator and columnist Jedediah Bilah conducted a significant interview of Alaska US Senatorial candidate Joe Miller, which was published in Human Events today. Miller has received the endorsements of Gov. Palin, "Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, the president of Alaska Right to Life, Tea Party Express, Lars Larson, Erick Erickson, the chairman of Defundit.org, and many more," Bilah wrote. Much of the Palin blogosphere has followed suit, including US 4 Palin. All of the endorsers are united in the belief that Joe Miller is the true conservative who deserves Alaskans' votes.

"Miller is unequivocally pro-life and pro-2nd Amendment. He’s a life member and benefactor of the NRA, supports the repeal of Obamacare, and opposes cap and trade and amnesty for illegal aliens. He also supports pro-growth tax reform and cutting corporate taxes," Bilah wrote.

The wide-ranging interview covered Miller's positions on core issues, what differentiates him from Lisa Murkowski, why this election is important and far-reaching, and Miller's biography.

Jedediah Bilah is scheduled to be on Hannity tonight. Check local listings for times.

Katie Couric Busted on Video Mocking Governor Palin

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

Back in March, in an article I called "Katie Couric & the Lamestream Media," I wrote:

When Katie Couric interviewed Governor Palin during the 2008 campaign, America saw a badgering piranha who had a clear agenda. That agenda was not to be fair and balanced and facilitate an interview that would allow the American people to hear from the governor and then make up their minds about her. It was not to present the truth in honest journalistic fashion. Her whole agenda seemed to be to demean, deride, and hound the governor right out of the gate...

Today it all becomes clearer. Video of Katie Couric mocking Governor Palin and her family the day John McCain announced her as his running mate has found its way online. It's no new revelation that the lamestream media looked down its nose at the Governor, and the recent JournoList revelations certainly exposed their fear that she would derail the highway they were building Obama to deliver him to the highest office in the land. However, as Katie Couric's interview with Governor Palin has been praised by the Left as a game-changer in the 2008 campaign, the video certainly puts to rest any notion that Katie was simply exercising fair journalism--as if there could possibly be anyone left among us who still believes that. While not earth-shattering, this video brings an added understanding of what Governor Palin has said about Couric all along: she was condescending, derisive, and downright rude. Now I realize that all Katie was doing during her interview was continuing what she began in this video.

Take a look:

Mind you, it's not the footage alone that speaks volumes; it's the story behind it all. Conservatives4Palin brought this video to the public's attention, so let's start with their take:

It’s not just what was said by Couric in her discussion of Governor Palin, but also the way CBS framed the narrative of Governor Palin’s life in their story. The script covers moose burgers, her kids, her being a former beauty queen and being on the cover of Vogue. Sarah Palin was a sitting governor, and at that time, before the Obama campaign and their allies in the press spent months relentlessly smearing her good name, she had the highest approval ratings of any governor in the country. She was also responsible for getting the largest energy project in North American history underway after several decades of interminable delays in Alaska. She was a courageous corruption-busting whistleblower who turned in the leader of her own party in Alaska for his corrupt practices. She was a fiscal conservative who made the largest veto cuts in Alaska history, reined in the reckless waste, cut her own expenses, sold the governor’s private jet, let the personal chef go, and put away billions of dollars in savings for Alaska for a rainy day. She was a tough CEO who went toe to toe with the Big Oil companies and fought to get the best deal for Alaskans, the resource owners she represented. And she did all of this as a woman from a modest background who was entirely self-made – without the benefit of a rich or influential father or husband.

But what in this impressive biography did CBS News and Couric choose to focus on? Moose burgers and beauty pageants.

By their choice of the framing of the story, it’s evident Couric and CBS had an agenda here: They wanted to diminish Governor Palin because her impressive record of accomplishments towered over the non-existent record of the guy at the top of Democrat ticket.

Read the rest of this C4P article here.

NewsBusters also breaks down Couric's bias:

Want more evidence of an elitist vibe coming from the upper echelons of the mainstream media?

You ought to remember the Sept. 24, 2008 Katie Couric interview of Sarah Palin. It's been celebrated time and time again as a heralded part of American journalism. However, raw footage appearing to be from Aug. 29, 2008 shows that Couric, anchor of the "CBS Evening News," was already predisposed not to have a high regard for the Alaska governor long before that interview. (h/t Conservatives4Palin.com)

Outtakes of CBS's "Evening News" show Couric taking a few petty shots at Palin in her coverage leading up to the 2008 Republican National Convention. This five-minute clip has several highlights, showing Couric favoring "moose burgers and beauty pageants," instead of her professional credentials as mayor of Wasilla, a town Couric has trouble announcing, and her tenure as governor of Alaska.

Highlights include the following:

•Couric mocking Palin's oldest son's name: "Her oldest son, 19-year-old Track-Where the hell do they get these [names]?" [laughter] (1:09)
•"She hunts, fishes and eats moose burgers. Her parents, Sally and Chuck Heath, were out hunting caribou when they got the news. You can't make this up - OK hold on a second. [laughter]" (1:43)
•"I'm saying I'm glad you took out the feminine side because you can be feminine and play basketball, right Jerry?" (1:59)
•Struggles with the pronunciation of the name of the town Wasilla. (4:05)

Great job diverting attention away from Governor Palin's resume', CBS. Way to go! I would ask what they were afraid would happen if they reported her accomplishments, but I already know the answer, so why bother? Read more here.

Gary Jackson, too, recognizes Katie's sinister agenda. He writes:

There’s more history between Sarah and the Perky One, than this bit of childishness. As Sarah pointed out in her book, there are hours upon hours of video tapes from a series of interviews Couric did with Sarah. Instead of airing all of that footage, CBS and Couric selectively edited it to paint Sarah in the worst light possible.CBS has refused to release the full tapes to either Sarah, or the McCain campaign. (or the media at large) Hmmmm. Wonder why?

Let’s also never forget that Perky sat down with longtime Marxist-democrat Sam Nunn, and Council on Foreign Relations president Richard Haas, before she interviewed Sarah, and was coached extensively on just the right sort of “gotcha” questions to ask. Nunn was on Obama’s short list for Vice President, and served on his transition team after the election. In other words, Couric sat down with Team Obama and worked out the best strategy on how to question their opponent!

[...]

The media in this country is dead. You can’t trust a word they say, especially if it comes from the so-called “mainstream media.” They are all a bunch of proven liars, and little more than stenographers for the Obama regime.

Corrupt as the day is long.

Read Gary's full article here.

America is looking forward to November when we plan to vote out corrupt, over-reaching, apparently deaf politicians who look out for themselves rather than the people who hired them. Somehow we also need a plan to oust members of the mainstream media, like Katie Couric and her compadres, who have taken it upon themselves to use their positions to advance their own agendas, thus robbing Americans of the facts we so desperately need and deserve to have. May that day soon come. In the meantime, in the words of the Editors of Conservatives4Palin, "Once again Sarah Palin has been vindicated."

Palin: Obama’s Predictable, Tiring, Ineffective Lecture

Governor Palin today, via Facebook Note called Obama to task for his hypocrisy in blaming a prior administration for today's ills, when Obama was part of the problem as a Senator.

Tea Partiers Pick Palin for President

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

Only a small number of Tea Party patriots were polled here, but the findings are still worth noting. Governor Palin is the leading choice for president in 2012, ahead of other names being bounced around in 2012 talk. Her commitments to fiscal responsibility, national security, energy independence, and support of military are, no doubt, among the reasons common sense people are desperate to see a Palin presidency. Her refusal to sit down and shut up, despite the vitriol hurled her way, also set her well ahead of the pack.

Alex Pappas of The Daily Caller reports:

A new study of the Tea Party movement released on Wednesday shows former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as the leader among the conservative, grassroots activists when it comes to their 2012 choice for president.

Among the “229 Tea Party supporters” surveyed by the Sam Adams Alliance, Palin brought in 23 percent when up against 19 other candidates, according to the report. It is the first of three studies commissioned by the free-market non-profit group to analyze Tea Party activists before November’s midterm elections.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney followed with 9.2 percent, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie took in 8.7 percent and Newt Gingrich garnered 7.7 percent of Tea Party activists’ support.

Sarah Palin: Brian Murphy for Maryland

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

Another endorsement from Governor Palin. Via Facebook:

I’m honored to endorse Brian Murphy for Governor of Maryland. Brian is a pro-life, pro-Second Amendment commonsense conservative and a firm believer in the free market and the cause for energy independence. As a former energy industry executive and current small business owner, Brian has the private sector experience that is so lacking in government today. He knows how to incentivize industry to get our economy moving again. Together with his running mate for lieutenant governor, Mike Ryman, Brian will provide Maryland with principled and results oriented leadership.

Please join me in supporting Brian by visiting his website at www.brianmurphy2010.com and following him on Facebook and Twitter.
