Sarah Palin: A Time to Unite

Sarah Palin wants Americans to unite. From her Facebook page:

Time to Unite.

I want to personally thank Republican Dede Scozzafava for acting so selflessly today in the NY District 23 race. Now it's time to cross the finish line with Doug Hoffman so that he can get to work for District 23 and the rest of America.

With Congress poised to overhaul one-sixth of our economy with so-called health care “reform” (which is really a government takeover of health care) and with plans to enact a cap-and-tax bill just as our economy struggles to recover, Doug Hoffman will be a voice for fiscal responsibility and common sense in Washington.

We need candidates like Doug now more than ever. In these final days of the campaign, it's vital that Doug continue to receive the enthusiastic support of those who want to bring common sense to Washington. Let’s help make it happen! You can help Doug by visiting his official website today and offering your support:

This is indeed a time for America to unite. We face some tough days ahead. With the vote on ObamaCare, the largest power grab in history, legislation that will destroy the Republic as we know it, looming over us like a dark cloud, it's time to show Congress and the President that we mean business! Americans of all stripes need to come together and fight for the heart and soul of our great nation.

We can do this. While the battle in NY-23 isn't won quite yet, the latest polling has Doug Hoffman with a healthy lead. Now the democrats are pouring all they have in to defeat him. You can bet that ACORN and all of the rest will being flocking to NY-23!

Of course, many patriots are there as well, so please join in the fight and if you can't go and join them on the ground, send Doug some cash!

It goes without saying that none of this would have happened if Sarah hadn't endorsed Doug Hoffman. Once she made it the popular thing to do, everyone jumped on board. Look for a full recap to follow, but right now, lets get Doug over the finish line. We can celebrate later!

Somehow you just know the great Renaldus Magnus, who united America in his time, is looking down tonight and smiling approvingly at all of this.

Commentary:

Just nine days ago, Governor Palin lived by her Reagan Conservative principles, endorsed Doug Hoffman for Congress in New York State's District 23, and asked her supporters to donate to his campaign. Mr. Hoffman was trailing in the three-way race. Her endorsement triggered a 180-degree shift. Mr. Hoffman surged to the head of the race. He received -- minimally -- a $116K spike in donations, as Governor Palin's supporters answered her call. Today, the ACORN-backed RINO, Dede Scozzafava removed herself from the race entirely. Kudos to her for standing up and doing the right thing.

This is a major accomplishment on several grounds. First, it is living proof that the Republican Party will succeed if it returns to Reagan Conservative principles, but will continue to be a fractured and failed party by being "Democratic Lite," "moderate," or "walking across the aisle." Given the choice between a fake liberal and a real one, most people will go with the real one. At least they know what they are getting.

For Governor Palin, this is an accomplishment on the scale of securing Senator Saxby Chambliss' victory nearly 11 months ago. This accomplishment demonstrates that Governor Palin has clout and is a force to be reckoned with. She is a textbook Transformational Leader.

From a feminist perspective, this accomplishment is testament to her power as woman. Though Mr. Hoffman is most decidedly a man, it was HER endorsement that brought victory within reach. Being Governor Palin's accomplishment, it means that another glass ceiling was felled by her sonic boom.

This day, Saturday, October 31, 2009 is also historical for Governor Palin, for today, the purging and cleansing of the Republican Party has begun -- under her direction. She is consolidating her power. What is all the more brilliant? She did it with nothing more than a Facebook posting.

Now the next step is for Mr. Hoffman to finish the job and win this race.

Palin's Principles Prevail as Scozzafava Steps Aside

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

Dede Scozzafava, Republican Candidate for the NY 23rd Congressional District, has now withdrawn from the race, as reported first by Robert Stacy McCain.

As you recall, Monday I posted an article called "Sarah Palin: Principles Over Party? In a New York Minute!" I discussed the fact that Scozzafava was not a candidate representing true conservative values, which is why Sarah Palin endorsed Conservative-Party candidate Doug Hoffman. Governor Palin chose principles over party. Others, including Fred Thompson, Rick Santorum, and Tim Pawlenty also made that choice, while Newt Gingrich chose to endorse Scozzafava, offering lame excuses, and Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee chose to say nothing at all.

This is what sets people like Sarah Palin apart from other politicians. Palin's endorsement created a stir, as everything she says always does. Gingrich said that as an outsider Palin and others had no right to go against the wishes of the GOP in New York who chose the candidate they wanted. Other talking-heads said that Hoffman's running on the Conservative ticket would only split the vote and ensure a victory for Democrat Bill Owens; to these confused souls, Palin would say this, as she wrote in her endorsement note on Facebook:

Unfortunately, the Republican Party today has decided to choose a candidate who more than blurs the lines, and there is no real difference between the Democrat and the Republican in this race.

Somehow the talking-heads have missed that point.

Sarah has said time and again that Americans are tired of politics as usual. Conservatives are looking for people who will stand for something. We're seeking out those who don't sell out principles by endorsing someone who is the antithesis of what we are supposed to represent. And we are searching for leaders who don't go hide, refusing to say anything at all. We want people who will do what Governor Palin does: lay it all on the line and call it as she sees it.

Once again, she was right. She had no way of knowing the outcome; she merely acted on principles.

The race is not over. Election Day is Tuesday, and it'll be Hoffman vs. Owens. That still has to play out, but it was clear that Scozzafava was not going to win, so she pulled out, leaving a true conservative candidate in Hoffman. Sarah Palin's endorsement was one of a few important ones, but it seems to be the one that changed the face of the race. She created a shift for Hoffman--in support and finances--and she didn't wait until Hoffman had surpassed Scozzafava to do it or wait until Scozzafava backed out. Compare that to Newt Gingrich and Mike Huckabee who have now, just today, endorsed Hoffman.

Some so-called "experts" say Sarah Palin has no future in national politics and doesn't have the political savvy to be a serious force on the world stage. Well, for someone who's supposed to be the least of these, she sure is out in front, while people like Newt Gingrich and Mike Huckabee follow her lead.

Update: Watch House Republican Leader John Boehner's address below.

I have heard President Obama and other Democrat legislators state many times that the GOP has only sought to block reform and has offered no solutions. As the governor stated--and as you see in this address--that is completely false.

The First Things First Mandate

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

Before I get into the subject of this post, let me stop and warn those who don't like to mix faith into, well, anything really, that this post does go down that road. I pray that you are totally comfortable with God, His place within our nation, and the urgency to seek Him at this time.

I was reminded over the last couple days of the battle that so many of us are engaged in. People today are doing their part--no matter how small it may seem--for the future of America. Clearly, we are living in a time that seems stressful and overwhelming, yet it's also one of the most exciting times in our history. I say that because people who had never done anything before, maybe never even cared before, are standing up and speaking out. People have realized that this is not someone else's country, but it's their country and they have to rally the change they want to see. Like never before, housewives, businessmen, actors, and teachers, to name a few, are figuring out what they can do to make a difference. They're going to TEA parties and knocking doors for candidates. They're attending town halls and calling their legislators. They're starting to blog and meeting with like-minded people. The bottom line is they are feeling the urgency of the hour. They are sensing a desperation and are discerning that it's not enough to want more; they have to do more.

I agree. I, too, am trying to do my part to make a difference, to be a voice, to take a stand. But sometimes when we discern a problem, we miss the root of that problem. Not discerning that root is costly because it often causes us to bypass the first things first mandate.

In just the last two days, I've come to understand deeper what we're dealing with. I sense within me that we are in the heat of a major battle, but it's not a battle based solely in a "what-can-I-do?" movement. Yes, we must do. God forbid we do nothing. But I'm sensing the depth of this battle we are engaged in--and it's a spiritual battle. It's a fight for the hearts and minds of people. It's a fight for God's plan for America and Americans, which is under attack. I know, I know, some people would prefer to keep God out of it. That's part of the problem. God cannot be kept out of anything without disaster ensuing!

In the midst of our blogging, our tea partying, and our rallying, God help us to understand that apart from Him we can do nothing. And when hell begins to break loose, as it seems to have done this week, we must understand what is going on--and we cannot have that understanding apart from Him. When we act apart from Him, we go off half-cocked trying to deal with every situation in our own strength, by our own means, and through our own wisdom. And the result of that? We get our own results. This may feel good, look good, and smell good for the moment, but it equals zero in the end.

I have, in the last couple days, seen people willing to embrace rumors rather than believe the best. I have seen people choose to quit rather than stand firm--simply because seeds of doubt were placed within them. I have seen people turn those doubts into accusation, insult, and all-out campaigning for others to join them in their deception. I have experienced mounting anger myself as I have watched it all unfold.

But last night God reminded me of what we're dealing with. God does have a plan. However, His plan, as it draws closer and closer, is always met with opposition. Such opposition involves the very things I've mentioned: deception, severing of relationships, slander. It happens without fail, yet so often we fall into the same habit of responding in the flesh rather than walking in the Spirit. The former leads to frustration. The latter brings added wisdom and an understanding of what is really going on. It brings vision of the bigger picture and refocusing on what we've truly been called to do: intercede, walk by faith, and battle in the Spirit.

This message is urgent because the battle is intensifying, as many who are spiritually sensitive to what is going on will tell you.

Love of nation must be accompanied by dependency on God. America needs that, our leaders need that, and our future depends on that. Any actions taken, no matter how noble, are fruitless without our being "one nation under God."

Many of us have found ourselves disappointed with politics and politicians, wondering where are those who are supposed to serve for the right reasons and do the right things. They may be few and far between, but they do exist. Let's not be deceived. Those who have sacrificed and served in some way, those who paid a price for loving their nation and speaking up for her, those who have been called for this time are also the ones on whom the maligners, the defamers, and the mud-throwers have declared open season. They are those whose names and reputations have been given a beating by those who make a living feasting off them. They are those we need to be praying for. Sarah Palin is one of those people. I support her because she is one of those. And let me make it clear: Those, like Sarah, who have that call carry the weight of that call. Because they are at the center of the battle, they bear a burden most of us will never understand, much less experience ourselves.

Understand, the support of those who have committed themselves to answering God's call is not a fan club or a rock concert. It's spiritual warfare, and though we get out there and defend, and blog, and everything else we do, we must battle first on our knees. First things first. It's necessary, it's serious, it's crucial--and it's NOW.

(On a side note: I will be a guest TODAY, Saturday, on Orlando's a.m. 660 WORL on the weekly Tea Party Radio Show @teapartyradio at 1:30 PST, 4:30 EST. I will be discussing Sarah's endorsement of Conservative Party Candidate Doug Hoffman in the NY District 23 Race. Listen online http://www.660worl.townhall.com. Thanks!!!)

Was I in outer space when Katie Couric became an expert on the Republican Party? Uh, I don't think so. After basically setting out to destroy Sarah Palin and using her news time to criticize the GOP, Katie Couric seems to think she suddenly is a know-it-all when it comes to the Grand Old Party. Huh? Although Katie thinks she knows best, it is clear she has a set agenda of wanting to take down the Republican Party, not help it. A couple days ago on her newscast, little Miss Couric said the following about the Republican Party (courtesy of Mark Finkelstein of NewsBusters.org):

"As Politico reported, there's growing concern among some GOP leaders that controversial commentators and far-right conservatives have hijacked the message. People like Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin appeal to the base - and you certainly need that base to win elections. But in an age when 42 percent of Americans call themselves Independents - you can't win with just the base, either.. . . Before the 2010 midterm elections roll around, Republicans need to get the focus back onto the Big Tent where all are welcome and off the sideshows that are popping up along the party's fringe."

During the campaign, did Katie focus too much on ripping Sarah to shreds that she forgot the Republican Party had its most liberal presidential candidate of all time? While it is important that individuals have the freedom to join the party of their choice, the party NEED NOT change its values and core principles. Would you change parking spaces after parking just because someone asks you too so they can take your space? Of course not, but it seems as if many in the Republican Party agree with Couric on this whole "Big Tent" theory.

What's so wrong with holding strong to your values? As I noted the other day, the Republican Party finds itself out in the wilderness as it searches for its identity. Why are they searching when the Republican Party just needs to find its way back home? The Republican Party needs to be restored and become the party it once was under Ronald Reagan. The party of fiscal conservatism, personal responsibility, strong national defense and tax cuts. Although you and I see this "coming home" analogy as a practical one, there are many looking to the media thinking they know what's best. It is no secret that the liberal msm are out to destroy the GOP. Couric is doing what her colleagues do on a daily basis. She is using the idea that the Republican Party needs to expand as a way to split the party.

Isn't it funny that the liberal msm always talks about the Republican Party's need to become more tolerant and accepting, yet they never do the same with the Democratic Party? Where are the journalists to call the donkeys out- asking questions like: "Doesn't the Democratic Party need to tighten the belt and become a little more moderate?" Nope, don't hear questions like that now do you.... Instead, you hear the msm target the Blue Dogs for daring to speak out against the proposed Health Care Plan. You hear people like Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann chastising the Blue Dogs for daring to question the liberal Democrats proposed agenda. You hear these same journalists call Sarah and Rush dangerous because they are conservative. Yeah, so much for the First Amendment, acceptance and tolerance.

In order for the Republican Party to have any success in the future, it needs to do the exact opposite of what the Katie Courics are saying. The Republican Party needs more candidates like Sarah and Jim DeMint, and less candidates like Olympia Snowe. While I greatly admire John McCain and his great service to our country, he was a weak candidate, plain and simple. The media pushed for his candidacy because they knew this. Journalists and liberals are scared of the Sarah and Rush's of the GOP. They are scared because they know a conservative movement is brewing. Glenn Beck made an excellent point last night on the O'Reilly Factor. Glenn believes Sarah may form a new third party based upon conservatism. While many are skeptical about the success a third party may have, Beck believes there are many individuals out there who are sick and tired of the politics as usual and the blame game that is currently going on in Washington D.C. A year ago, I probably would have agreed with the skeptics, but not anymore. Look at how rapidly the tea party movement has grown. This grassroots movement has taken the country by storm, and this movement isn't going anywhere. The New York District 23 race is proof of this.

"Mainstreet U.S.A." folks from all walks of life gather at tea parties to vent and voice their outrage because they feel their politicians don't listen to them anymore. The conservative movement is of this same breed. Like the tea party wildfire that is spreading rapidly, so is the conservative movement. I believe the 2010 elections are crucial to the conservative movement as a whole. Is the Republican Party going to wake up and return home to the values that made it great, or is this party going to remain out in the wilderness forcing its conservative and independent members to look for homes elsewhere? While this is yet to be seen, one thing remains true: It is important now more than ever to stand up and speak out in favor of the conservative values we hold most dear.

Sarah is the future of the Republican Party whether she chooses to run for president or not. I sincerely hope she chooses the first option because she is a conservative candidate who sticks to her values no matter where the tide carries her. She is living proof of what a true conservative candidate looks like! Like Ronald Reagan before her, Sarah remains vigilant to the conservative cause proving that, unlike so many other Republicans, she IS not out in the wilderness, but already home. Until the others find their way, she will continue to leave the porch light on, hoping they realize what she already knows: The conservative cause is worth fighting for.

BREAKING NEWS UPDATE IN NY 23 RACE:
As on this morning, Rino Republican candidate, Dede Scozzafava has, in fact, dropped out of the race. Here is her statement, which was published in the Watertown Daily Times:

"In recent days, polls have indicated that my chances of winning this election are not as strong as we would like them to be.... The reality that I've come to accept is that in today's political arena, you must be able to back up your message with money -- and as I've been outspent on both sides, I've been unable to effectively address many of the charges that have been made about my record...."

This is a HUGE win for both the conservative and tea party movements. This also illustrates the power of the barracuda herself, Sarah Palin. In endorsing Doug Hoffman, Sarah chose values over party. Whereas the likes of Newt Gingrich chose party, leaving him on the losing end of the stick. In sticking with values over party, Sarah further illustrates that she's more of a man than the Newts, Mitts and Mikes will ever be. AMEN TO THAT!!! The Final Word on the Palin in Des Moines “Controversy”

palin-carson-CA

By Shane Vander Hart, Caffeinated Thoughts

She’s not coming, but would like to in the future.  She’d also come for free.  Bryan English at the Iowa Family Policy Center just sent the following press release:

10/30/09 Pleasant Hill, IA - Iowa Family Policy Center ACTION received word this morning that Governor Sarah Palin is unable to accept our speaking invitation due to her book tour contractual commitments, which cannot be changed.

We extended our invitation knowing she would be in the middle of her book tour and the chances of her being able to accept any invitations were extremely slim.

She has asked if she could speak at a future mutually agreeable date. She will not accept any fees for her appearance.

That seems to put the controversy created by Politico’s Jonathan Martin yesterday to bed.  Speaking of the asinine article that Jonathan Martin wrote, Emily Geiger at The Iowa Republican notes some background on those who talked with Jonathan Martin:

And, Jonny had lots of completely impartial sources who were happy to comment and help him “cobble together” an eleven-hundred word story.

Oh, those sources… they were so shocked at this (unconfirmed) unprecedented occurrence. How dare political operatives get paid obscene amounts of money. And speaking of politicos getting paid obscene amounts of money, Jonny went to a very knowledgeable source on that particular issue, Ed Failor, Jr., of Iowans for Tax Relief fame.

Hey Ed, how much were you paid by the Pataki campaign only to end up submarining it when you had a change of heart and decided McCain was your man? Oh well, at least Ed refrained from calling Palin a jackbooted Nazi, so he did show some self-restraint.

Jonny also got some inside info from David Kochel, who was a top aide to former (and future) presidential candidate, Mitt Romney.

Hey Dave, didn’t I just read a story about how Mitt Romney tried to buy off the Iowa Christian Alliance? I heard you helped facilitate that little scheme. And somehow you are shocked at the thought of a well-known political figure (who very likely isn’t running for president) getting paid a speaker’s fee for (gasp) a public speaking appearance?

Another of Jonny’s sources was the Iowa Christian Alliance’s Steve Scheffler, who is totally impartial given that he runs a competing organization which is dealing with its own scandal.

And then we’ve got Tim Albrecht quoted. He was the Iowa spokesman for Romney’s 2008 caucus campaign.

Hmmm… Between Kochel and Albrecht, this sounds suspiciously like yet another case of former Romney staffers “going rogue” and badmouthing their meal ticket’s perceived competition.

I’m sure that it was completely coincidental.

Updates can be found here.

"I think I'd stick with Sarah."

From: TPM

Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) is brushing off former Vice President Dick Cheney's endorsement of Perry's primary challenger, U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison -- saying he'd rather have his current support from Sarah Palin.

Perry touted an upcoming endorsement from Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, as evidence of Republican support. Perry was then asked if he would rather have Cheney or Palin, who endorsed him back in February.

Perry's response: "I think I'd stick with Sarah."

Sarah was right Part 6: Iran and Alaska's Missile Shield.

by Upinak

The Palination -- http://www.thepalination.com

When Obama stands there with his feeble limp wristed style to swoon the stupid liberals into believing all is good and no harm will come to them. It makes one wonder about the safety for the country as well as when Obama is actually going to do anything concerning the Troops in Afghanistan.

Iran has put out there to the world that they will not go by the rules, regulations and sanctions that were instituted to make it “safe” for what they are doing with the yellow cake uranium. They are doing it their way no matter who says what. There is no cooperation with this country and it seems that it was shown via Cheney and others in the Joint Chiefs of Staff that it was never going to happen.  And Obama sits there looking like a complete failure concerning being bullied by Iran.
Now with this said, here is a new shocker. I mentioned that Alaska has a missile shield for the United States that would protect the West Coast and in some cases could protest the East Coast as Alaska is high on the hemisphere and could react if something does turn around. Well in the news recently, there is a new item on the table to complete the missile defense fund at Ft. Greely BUT on condition of:

Sen. Mark Begich, a Democrat, appealed to the Senate Armed ServicesCommittee in June to maintain money to expand the ground-based missile defense system, saying it's not just about North Korea but also about shooting down missiles launched by Iran. In a news release Tuesday, Begich said the plan is "a welcome decision that will decrease the risk of the ever-evolving ballistic missile threats from rogue nations by increasing capacity required to defend the United States."

Sen. Lisa Murkowski, a Republican, was less enthusiastic about the decision in an e-mailed statement to the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, noting that the completion of Missile Field 2 comes with plans to decommission another missile field at the base, about 100 miles south of Fairbanks. "I remain unconvinced that abandonment of the Bush administration's plan, previously supported by Secretary Gates, is the right thing to do from a national security perspective," Murkowski said.

So we can have all the missiles that were slated for us under the Bush administration concerning overall protection, BUT, we have to dismantle Missile Field 1, to get the missiles for Missile Field 2 at Ft. Greely. Does anyone else think this sound right? Especially since the Missile Field 1 was ONLY made in 2003/2004. Umm can we say waste of Government funds.

Sarah Palin, you were right. It is unfortunate that it has to come to this.

Come on, DNC. Take Your Best Shot!

Okay. That’s it. No more Ms. Nice Lady.

You have two options, DNC. You can retract your incendiary statements or you can take what’s coming because you have seriously earned it! I don’t mean just from me. You are on the verge of a war you asked for but don’t really want; a war of words from the people of the United States of America. You might have heard of us – WE PAY THE SALARIES FOR THOSE WHO WEAR YOUR LABEL.

I’m referring to the Facebook war the DNC is waging against Sarah Palin. More here.

Have you read the Baucus bill? Did you read H.R.3200? I did. And I wrote about both of them. They’re on this blog. I suggest you look them up and read them for yourself.

Sarah Palin is RIGHT! Big surprise to those of us who have been able to verify the things she has said by reading the bill ourselves.

So sit down, DNC. I’ve got some things I want to say to you. You probably won’t like any of them, but now ask me if I care!

Sometimes in writing we use quotation marks to designate conversation or a direct quote. Sometimes we use them as a way of saying, “Take this as emphasis rather than fact.” Go back to her Facebook post, ignoramus, and you’ll see she had the words “death panel” in quotation marks. There were only two words 1-death, 2-panels. Would you classify that as a conversation? Well, hmmm, I ah.. I ah.. don’t think so. Were the words quoted from the bill? Let’s see… um.. no.. I guess they weren’t. Okay.. so they’re not conversation and they’re not a direct quote.

You tell me, DNC. What does that leave? Huh? I can’t hear you. A little louder, please. Oh.. I see. They were used for emphasis. The same way Grayson meant that Republicans want Americans to die quickly. The same way he meant that lobbyist is a whore. What’s that you say? You only take things critically when a Republican says it?

Well, that explains the whole thing. Now I understand. It’s the old double standard thing again.

Among all the things you haven’t figured out yet is that the people who recognize and trust Sarah Palin’s wisdom and knowledge will fight back. There are almost one million of us following her on Facebook. No, that’s not as many as your Messiah has, but we’re working on it. And we appreciate all the help you give us. You see, every time you attack her, she gains another 30,000+ followers.

You’re trying to use your last bit of political capital to destroy a woman who represents the only real threat you have, and the things she says empowers the rest of us to speak up. You are so frightened of this one woman that you can’t find a rock big enough to hide under until Hurricane Sarah blows by with her next Facebook post.

How much time, energy and money have you spent since August 2008 trying to shut her up? How successful have you been? Where are you going to attempt your next attack on her? In her own driveway? I wouldn’t do that if I were you. She’s a pretty good hand with a shotgun. Ask that moose in her freezer.

So go ahead, DNC. Take your best shot. The only thing is you’d better aim higher than you are now because this woman stands head and shoulders above you and everything you stand for. Oh… somebody else wrote that – I didn’t. Well, I don’t think she’d mind if I borrow it!

And for the record, DNC, check this out. Sec. 1233, Pg 425, Lines 3-Pg 430, Line 3 - Government mandates Advance (Death) Care Planning consultation. Lost your copy? Okay… I’ll make it easy for you.

‘‘(iv) may incorporate any advance directive (as defined in section

Anytime a group of health care professionals get together to tell me what options I have about what care I “may receive” sounds pretty much like a “panel” to me and since we are speaking of what may be my demise, I consider that to mean “death”. Therefore, “DEATH PANEL” seems to fit quite well, don’t you think?

DNC Targets Sarah Palin on Facebook

The DNC is telling us once again whom they really fear. Judging by their latest attack on Sarah Palin, they obviously feel very threatened by her positions on issues vital to this country and by her powerful influence in American politics. Last night, Politico reported that DNC executive director Jen O'Malley Dillon has sent out an e-mail encouraging fellow Democrats to attack Governor Palin on Facebook. The DNC has also set up a webpage and posted this video:

It strikes this author as a little ironic that after so much deception and lack of transparency about the healthcare bill that the DNC would call Sarah Palin a liar when she was the one person brave enough to stand up to their lies and warn the American people. But I must say that it is very consistent with their past behavior.

I would encourage all supporters of Sarah Palin to increase your support on her Facebook page and to send out messages from your own Facebook pages promoting and supporting Sarah Palin. Let's show the DNC that we believe Sarah Palin and not them and that we support her position on healthcare. In fact, we support all her endeavors as she leads the Conservative Revolution to take America back!

Here are some videos that you may want to share through Facebook and elsewhere. The links to the videos are posted below in the reference section.

The following video was posted the day Sarah Palin resigned as Governor of Alaska, but I think it is appropriate for this new attack as well as for all that follow. As others have said before me, we are engaged in a war for the very soul of our nation - a war between what is right and wrong for us and for America. And Sarah Palin is leading the charge in this rightous battle. Go, Sarah, Go! God bless Sarah Palin - and God bless America!

Heels on, Gloves Off: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

As many of you already know, Sarah Palin is the main reason I started blogging. She is the reason why I have fallen in love with politics. If you would have asked me a year and a half ago where I saw myself in October 2009, I can tell you right now that my answer wouldn't come close to the life I find myself living now, and honestly, I couldn't be more thrilled and excited about how God has used me; furthermore, I cannot wait to see what he has in store for me next. With God, I know that anything is possible. He has opened so many doors for me, and I am having a great time on this journey called life. Having studied English and journalism in college, this blog has given me the opportunity to expand on what I learned, and I feel myself growing as a writer everyday. Writing, public speaking and politics are three of my passions, something I'd love to make a career out of. I thank each and every one of you for taking the time to read my blog each day; you will never know how grateful I am for the the support and kind words I receive from many of you each day.

I am not ashamed to say I am a proud conservative. Contrary to popular belief, it can be hip and cool to be a young conservative. While those in Hollywood will try to preach that liberal is the only way to be, don't falter and don't fall- stick to your conservative values. I know I don't have to tell many of you this twice because you don't and never have listened to those liberal freaks in Hollywood. Do they know what it's like to earn a hard-earned living? Do they know what it's a like to live on Mainstreet U.S.A? Do they know what it is to have to sacrifice on the battlefield like our soldiers do day in and day out? Do they know what it's like to have to say goodbye to a family member who's in the military knowing that it will be months before they are reunited? No, the majority do not.

As a young conservative, I want to spread the message of what conservatism REALLY represents. It's not about spending liberally, it's not about growing government, and it's not about voting with the democrats to grow government while calling yourself a Republican. Unfortunately, the previous items are what the Republican party has become. Although the Republican Party has strayed away from its core values of fiscal conservatism, small government and strong national defense, we are starting to see the conservative movement spread like wildfire, and I believe there is one individual who is responsible for this: Sarah Palin. Sarah re-energized America, and America continues to be re-energized because of her presence in it. She is unafraid to stand up and speak out. In endorsing Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman, she chose values over party. Hoffman represents the type of candidate who is needed in the Republican Party. Although he is a third party candidate, he is a conservative like Republicans Michele Bachmann, Jim DeMint and Mike Pence. He is a conservative like Sarah Palin. The NY 23 race has captivated a country that is sick and tired of what is happening. Candidates with conservative values ARE the future of America. Doug Hoffman is proving this, and Bob McDonnell (running for governor of Virginia) is proving this too.

I am a tough cookie, and I am not afraid to fight the good fight. I am not going to sit back like a good girl while my country and conservative values are coming under attack. It was Sarah who taught me this. It was Sarah who stood, and continues to stand, tall and strong when she was attacked with the most vile of attacks. It IS Sarah who stands up for the conservative values so many of us share. Sarah IS our future!!! If you need an illustration of someone with sheer grit and intense determination, Sarah is that individual. Just as Ronald Reagan before her, she is going to lead us out of the wilderness and onto that shining city on a hill. While I have so many favorite "Sarah" quotes, it was something she said just up the freeway from me when she spoke at a rally in California during the campaign. I will never forget a fun one-liner of hers that I enjoy using from time to time. At this rally, Sarah said, "The heels are on, the gloves are off." Well said, Sarah. I know I'm ready, fellow readers, are you? While I know many of you are just not that into heels, go ahead and put on a happening pair of shoes, and let's take back the Republican Party, and make it a party we can once again can be proud to call ourselves members of.

Palin Coming to Des Moines?

55848942

By Shane Vander Hart, Caffeinated Thoughts

Iowa Family Policy Center ACTION sent out the following press release last night:

IFPC ACTION GOING ROGUE?

10/27/09 Pleasant Hill, IA – In response to media inquiries, Iowa Family Policy Center ACTION President Chuck Hurley responded today to questions concerning a potential appearance by former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin at an upcoming IFPC Action event.

According to Hurley, “We have reached out to Governor Palin through both official and informal channels and extended an invitation for her to keynote our annual fundraising event.” He went on to say, “We are not yet ready to confirm the specifics, but are hopeful that all the details can be worked out for her to come.”

IFPC Action began soliciting financial support for the event this week in anticipation of the Governor’s potential visit. Responding to questions raised by preliminary fundraising for the event, Hurley said the event, scheduled for November 21st, would be “on a much larger scale than our banquet last November,” and that “we are preparing now to make sure the Governor’s visit is a huge success should she accept our invitation.”

IFPC Action welcomed Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal on his first trip to Iowa when he spoke at last year’s event. Previous IFPC Action speakers include Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, and Family Research Council President Tony Perkins.

Should Palin accept the invitation, her appearance at the IFPC Action event would mark her first trip to Iowa since she traveled the state as the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee.

This would be an incredibly good move for her to make. While this would be sweet, and I would try to make sure I attend the event – it isn’t confirmed. So I would encourage everybody not to assume that she is coming. When Meg Stapleton, her personal spokesperson, says so… then you can bank on it.

The Iowa Republican notes the irony if she does in fact attend:

Palin’s appearance would occur just across the street from the Iowa Democratic Party’s Jefferson Jackson Dinner, which will be held at Hy-Vee Hall. The Iowa Family Policy Center was originally scheduled to hold its event at Hy-Vee Hall, but IFPC was asked to relocate once the Iowa Democratic Party confirmed Vice President Biden as its keynote speaker. As a consolation, the Iowa Events Center reportedly offered IFPC Action the 16,000 seat Wells Fargo Arena at a greatly reduced rate.

Who do you think would have more in attendance? Palin? You betcha.

Shane Vander Hart (who lives in the Des Moines area and would be super-thrilled to have Palin visit) is the editor of Caffeinated Thoughts. Feel free to follow him on Twitter and friend him on Facebook.

Editor's Note:

Word came this afternoon that Meghan Stapleton had issued a statement that it would be "incredibly difficult" for Sarah to attend this event because of her book tour and requests from over 1000 groups for her time. Although a definitive "no" was not given, it doesn't look good for this particular event.

Author Shane Vanderhart has additional updates on his site. It looks like IFPC had to issue the press release because CNN had intercepted an e-mail from another group that was fundraising to help pay the speaker's fee for this event.

Sarah Palin: Leadership In Action

The mark of a true leader is that people actually want to follow them. Sarah Palin is that sort of leader. Sarah has proven herself as a leader from the time she was captain of her basketball team, and the leader of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes . When Sarah was mayor of Wasilla, she was also elected president of the Alaska Council of Mayors. And of course, as Chairman of the AOGCC and Governor of Alaska, she showed incredible leadership.

Though some were bewildered when Sarah stepped down as Governor, they just didn’t understand the dynamics going on in Alaska. Sarah has continued to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that she is indeed one of our nation’s strongest leaders. From taking strong stands against the unconstitutional attempts at the government take over of health care, to speaking out on energy and monetary policy, Sarah Palin has been the leading voice.

In fact, Sarah’s outspoken comments against ObamaCare stopped it’s momentum dead in it’s tracks. As Sarah talked about a system that would inevitably lead to rationing of care, see RomneyCare in Massachusetts, she called it "downright evil." Sarah’s ability to distill down the idea of bureaucrats sitting in some government office, arbitrarily coming up with formulas for who will and won’t receive ObamaCare, based on how "valuable" they are to society, was brilliant. The idea of "death panels" is now part of the American lexicon.

The mark of a true leader though is the ability to risk it all when the situation calls for it. To go "all in" if that’s what is called for. This is just what Sarah has done with the Congressional race in New York’s 23rd district.

Some background on this deal first. This is a special election for the unexpired term of Republican John McHough, who was chosen earlier this year to be Secretary of the Army. There wasn’t a primary process to chose candidates to run for this seat, instead, this was a backroom deal where the party bosses chose who the candidate would be.

Unfortunately, the party "elite" chose an extreme liberal. At this point, the whos and whys, that "backstage intrigue" of it all, doesn’t really matter. Suffice it to say, the "elite" thought it better to run an extreme liberal in a safe Republican district. Not all that brilliant.

Enter local businessman Doug Hoffman. Hoffman, a very successful businessman in the district, and a CPA, has never held elected office, never run for elected office, but he is a rock solid Conservative, and understands that our nation is on the wrong path. Frankly, as Barack Obama allows America to turn into a financial quagmire, we could use a few more CPAs in Congress and a lot less attorneys!

For her part in what has become a national race, and a referendum on not only Barack Obama, but the direction of the GOP, DeDe Scozzafava couldn’t be less of a sympathetic figure. To call Scozzafava a RINO, Republican In Name Only,.is to insult other RINOs. DeDe is so far to the left, that she has been endorsed by the ultra-leftist group, the Daily Kos, over the democrat in the race!

Scozzafava is a darling of ACORN, supports card check, ObamaCare, all of the spending, and is married to a union leader. According to one ratings group, Scozzafava, a state assembly woman, is more liberal than 43 percent of the elected democrats in the state!

Moreover, Scozzafava is the most recent recipient of the Margaret Sanger award. Regular readers will recognize Sanger as the founder of Planned Parenthood, the "holy church" of the "progressive" movement, and the democrat/communist party. Margaret Sanger was, among other things, an ardent supporter of eugenics, she was an inspiration to such fine folks like Adolf Hitler and Josef Mengele.

Sanger, an associate of the Ku Klux Klan, and frequent speaker to the group, founded Planned Parenthood as part of her attempt to push for the abortion of black babies, who she called "human weeds."

This is who DeDe Scozzafava is. A far left "progressive" that makes the democrat in the race look very attractive, even to Republicans. This woman is so far left that she has prompted popular columnist, Mark Steyn to coin a new phrase for her, and those like her: DIABLO, "democrat in all but label only!" Frankly, I hope this one catches on, and seeing how DeDe’s campaign manager reportedly approached the democrat party bosses about her playing on their team, this is quite appropriate!

Now for it’s part, the hapless GOP "elites" went "all in" for DeDe. The NRCC has sent an incredible amount of money up there to support this DIABLO. And Newt Gingrich, once the darling of Conservatives coast to coast, jumped in with both feet as well.

Enter Sarah Palin. Now Sarah wasn’t the first heavy hitter to come in and help Hoffman. Dick Armey and his Club For Growth were early supporters followed by Fred and Jeri Thompson. But Sarah was the first person to really stake her reputation on Doug Hoffman. Sarah was the first person considered a front runner in 2012 to lay it on the line.

In a statement on Facebook, she said it all:

The people of the 23rd Congressional District of New York are ready to shake things up, and Doug Hoffman is coming on strong as Election Day approaches! He needs our help now.

The votes of every member of Congress affect every American, so it's important for all of us to pay attention to this important Congressional campaign in upstate New York. I am very pleased to announce my support for Doug Hoffman in his fight to be the next Representative from New York's 23rd Congressional district. It's my honor to endorse Doug and to do what I can to help him win, including having my political action committee, SarahPAC, donate to his campaign the maximum contribution allowed by law.

Our nation is at a crossroads, and this is once again a "time for choosing."

The federal government borrows, spends, and prints too much money, while our national debt hits a record high. Government is growing while the private sector is shrinking, and unemployment is on the rise. Doug Hoffman is committed to ending the reckless spending in Washington, D.C. and the massive increase in the size and scope of the federal government. He is also fully committed to supporting our men and women in uniform as they seek to honorably complete their missions overseas.

And best of all, Doug Hoffman has not been anointed by any political machine.

Doug Hoffman stands for the principles that all Republicans should share: smaller government, lower taxes, strong national defense, and a commitment to individual liberty.

Political parties must stand for something. When Republicans were in the wilderness in the late 1970s, Ronald Reagan knew that the doctrine of "blurring the lines" between parties was not an appropriate way to win elections. Unfortunately, the Republican Party today has decided to choose a candidate who more than blurs the lines, and there is no real difference between the Democrat and the Republican in this race. This is why Doug Hoffman is running on the Conservative Party's ticket.

Republicans and conservatives around the country are sending an important message to the Republican establishment in their outstanding grassroots support for Doug Hoffman: no more politics as usual.

You can help Doug by visiting his official website below and joining me in supporting his campaign:

http://www.doughoffmanforcongress.com/donate3.html.

Several things to note. Sarah took a direct shot at the party "elite" when she pointed out that Doug Hoffman wasn’t anointed by the party machine. She also took a direct shot at the GOP letting them know in no uncertain terms that "politics as usual" wouldn’t stand.

Of course, as with most of Sarah’s speeches and writings, there is a healthy dose of Ronald Reagan added, showing that she gets it. While the "elites" in the party keep telling us "the era of Reagan is over" Sarah knows what we know, that is Reagan is timeless. That’s a lesson she is about to teach all of the RINOs and DIABLOs in the party!

Bear in mind that when Sarah gave her unwavering support to Doug Hoffman, he was dead last in the three way race between himself, Scozzafava, and the democrat. This wasn’t a cut and dried "win" for anyone supporting Doug Hoffman!

Knowing this, so-called front runners like Tim Pawlenty came out with statements like this noted on The Hill’s website:

When asked on ABC's "Top Line" webcast if he will endorse a candidate, Pawlenty replied "probably, yeah," but said that he would need to take time to review the candidates' policy positions.

But in the interview, Pawlenty only raised issues with Scozzafava and did not address Hoffman.

"As a conservative, I am worried about some of the things I've heard about how the person was selected," he said of Scozzafava.

"The selection of this individual...seems a little cloistered," he continued, raising issue about how the Republican Party selected Scozzafava as a nominee. Critics say that the nomination was not open and thorough enough. The party passed over Hoffman and a number of other candidates for Scozzafava.

"The process may not have been as open as it should have been," Pawlenty added.

The governor also said that he is "concerned about some of the alleged issue positions that she holds."

Real profile in courage there, huh! Pawlenty has since come aboard and endorsed Doug Hoffman. What of the other so-called "front runners" Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee? Well, for Huckabee, while he says that he supports the ideas that Hoffman stands for, he has no plans to endorse, or have HuckPAC send any money. That’s kind of all you need to know about Huckabee. Seems like his career as a TV host, and bass player is firmly cemented now! Romney is AWOL in this deal. Not a single word.

But what of the "Sarah effect" in all of this. Well, first of all, record amounts of money started rolling in! In less than 12 hours after her endorsement $116,000 came in. To put that in perspective, they had raised roughly $200,000 in the week before.

The most profound effect though was in polling. The Club For Growth polled after Sarah’s endorsement and it looked like this: Hoffman 31.3%, Owens (the democrat) 27.0%, Scozzafava 19.7%.

From dead last to first in just a couple of days! And this in a race that Newt Gingrich is still lecturing us that will only "split the party!"

For those that may have forgotten about the "Sarah effect" might I remind you about the run-off race in Georgia after the 2008 elections. Senator Saxby Chambliss was in a tough spot. He had won the election in a three way battle, but under Georgia rules, the winner must have at least 50.1 percent to take the seat. He didn’t have it. In the run-off election, Chambliss was locked in a dead heat race, according to the polls. Both sides sent all of their "stars" in to stump for their candidates. The democrats sent in Bill Clinton and rapper Ludacris. The GOP sent in everybody. No help, as none could draw much of a crowd on either side.

Sarah came in on a Sunday night and attended a fund raiser, and then on Monday, the day before the election, held four rallies, all to standing room only crowds. Chambliss won in a 16 point blowout!

More of the "Sarah effect" is apparent this morning as new polling out shows Doug Hoffman’s lead in the race is widening. From Real Clear Politics:

October 27, 2009

NY-23 Poll: Hoffman +5

-->

For the second time in two days, a poll released by a conservative group finds Conservative Party nominee Doug Hoffman leading the Nov. 3 special election race for New York's 23rd District. Neighborhood Research polled the district for Minuteman PAC, the political arm of the Minuteman Movement, which has endorsed Hoffman and is airing ads on his behalf.

Hoffman leads Democrat Bill Owens by 5 points and GOP nominee Dede Scozzafava by 20 points.

Hoffman 34

Owens 29

Scozzafava 14

Und 23

The poll was taken Oct. 25-26 of 366 likely voters. The three candidates are vying to replace former congressman John McHugh (R-N.Y.), who was appointed by President Obama to be Secretary of the Army.

This of course is great news and validates what Conservatives have been saying all along. When Republicans put up a real Conservative candidate, that candidate will win. Works every time it’s tried. Now obviously, with so many undecided this is not a done deal, but it certainly shows that being a conservative is what will win the day over being a squishy "moderate" or in DeDe Scozzafava’s case a far left DIABLO.

NY-23 is the rallying point for Conservative Americans, no matter what party they are in. As the latest Gallup polling shows, Conservative ideology is the leading ideology in America, and has been. Unfortunately, the GOP with it’s delusions of grandeur always has this "big tent" strategy of being all things to all people that only disappoints everyone.

This is not new though, this has been the basic GOP strategy for years and years. The few bright spots in GOP history are when brilliant Conservative leaders like Ronald Reagan emerge. Newt Gingrich, when he moved towards conservatism was able to break a forty year stranglehold the democrat party had on Congress, but alas, Newt has become another party "elite" squish.

Gingrich, who is being shown the truth about Scozzafava, has decided that rather than admit he was wrong, or just sort of fade into the background on this, that instead he would double down on DeDe and is now doing what the RINOs in the party do, attack Conservatives!

There are so many "gems" in this deal, but Newts reasoning that Scozzafava is "adequately conservative" is a joke, but it does give us an insight into how the "elite" party machine thinks. Scozzafava is far to the left of the democrat, but because she has an "R" beside her name she is "good enough." Now this is a stupid strategy in a blue district or blue state, but NY-23 is a very safe Republican district that would absolutely vote for a Reagan/Palin conservative. There is no logic for this move.

Now the "elites" want us to sit down and shut up, as they know best. They say if a democrat wins, it will only strengthen Obama and Pelosi. Well, let me say this, if Scozzafava is going to vote like a democrat, what’s the difference?

We already have enough pretend Republicans in the party like John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Olympia Snow, and Susan Collins. Any one of this bunch is likely to be the key vote for the democrats on issues that anger Conservatives and damage America. But even more telling, any one of these, especially McCain and his protege Graham, like Newt, are more than inclined to attack Conservatives who disagree with their "wisdom" than they are democrats!

This bunch is the reason why recent polling shows that 73 percent of Republicans think the party is going in the wrong direction.

NY-23 is ground zero for the fight over the direction of Republican party. Of course, it is also ground zero as we start to take out nation back from Obama and the communists that are destroying this great nation. Having a Conservative win in New York should tell the GOP to stop with the foolishness and stand for something, and stop with their "big tent" strategy.

The fact is, Conservatism is the "big tent" and what people want are strong leaders not squishes!

A win in New York will also have a profound effect on democrats in Congress. While there are some that will go down in flames if it means they can advance the "glorious Marist revolution" there are others, the blue dogs, who would like to still have a job after the next election! A strong showing in New York will make those in the democrat party that have an ounce of sanity left think twice before they vote for Obama’s agenda!

As for Sarah Palin, she has emerged as the leader of our movement. While others were dithering and "thinking" or worse, backing the wrong horse, Sarah stepped up and took a stand. Sarah not only took a stand against Obama, but took a stand against those in the Republican party that have it wrong. That takes courage.

I know a lot of people see this as a signal that Sarah is "going rogue" and will start some third party. Don’t fall into that trap. Sarah is a student of Reagan and understands that a third party isn’t the answer. The answer is to take back the Republican party. Reagan, after Carter was elected, and Conservatives, were feeling marginalized by the Republican party. He cautioned that forming a new party as a mistake. Four years later, Reagan was proven correct, and it was the party "elite" who mounted a third party effort to get yet another "moderate" "big tent" squish elected.

As if to highlight the fact that she is indeed a Republican, but intent on showing the party elders the error of their ways, Sarah came out in strong support today for the Republicans in both the Virginia and New Jersey Governor’s races:

East Coast Races Impact All Americans

As I stand here in a high school gymnasium watching freshmen girls' basketball games, I'm struck by the sight of America's future right in front of me - these tenacious young women full of energy and intensity. I want them to realize every opportunity this great, free nation can provide.

There are big political races on the East Coast that are coming down to the wire - the results of which will impact policies and political actions that touch all of us in every state. Like other independent Americans, I don’t always see eye-to-eye with Republican political committees, so when I tell you that the Republican Governors Association has my complete support and confidence in its campaign efforts back East, know that I really mean it. The RGA is helping lead the conservative comeback beginning this year, and its involvement in the East Coast races is significant. I hope you'll support these efforts, which are vital to the cause for America's freedom and prosperity: http://www.rga.org/initiatives/comeback-fund/.

Let's consider the governor's race in New Jersey. The state has the highest tax burden in the country and the incumbent Democrat governor has only added to the economic burden. He eliminated property tax rebates for middle class homeowners while the sales tax increased. Altogether, taxes on the people in the region have increased by billions of dollars. It’s no surprise that New Jersey has the highest unemployment rate in the region! Thankfully, there is an alternative. Residents there will be better off under an administration that understands the benefits that result when workers are allowed to keep more of what they earn. Watch New Jersey's economy come alive under new leadership that will put government back on the side of the people! Chris Christie promises this new leadership.

Fortunately, New Jersey's Democrat governor is being held accountable with the RGA spending $7 million in the New York and Philadelphia media markets telling the truth about a liberal administrative record while highlighting New Jersey's tax-hiking ways and reminding voters there is an alternative! The NY and Philly markets are the most expensive in the nation though, so the RGA is requesting help to stay on the air. Visit http://www.rga.org/initiatives/comeback-fund/.

Then in Virginia, there is a clear difference between Republican Bob McDonnell and his liberal opponent. Republican Bob McDonnell is fighting for cheaper American energy and lower taxes, while his opponent wants to raise taxes and, amazingly, even bragged about having more earmarks than any other state legislator. Bob McDonnell promises to fight for Virginia's hard working families, and he opposes some heavy-handed union leadership efforts that could ultimately hurt employers and employees. The RGA has aired $6 million of TV ads exposing the liberal candidate’s record. I encourage you to help fight for our neighbors in the East by visiting: http://www.rga.org/initiatives/comeback-fund/.

Americans who believe in smaller government and free enterprise have a chance to show Washington that people all across the U.S. don’t want an ever-increasing national debt, more dependency on foreign energy sources, and more wasteful government spending. If, like me, this is what you want to show Washington, then I hope you'll support Chris Christie and Bob McDonnell and the RGA, as great efforts are put forth in these East Coast races.

The young student athletes I'm watching right now are counting on us to do the right thing - to fight for what is right for America today and into their future. Electing candidates with common sense and respect for freedom is one way we can fight for what is right.

When Sarah stepped down as Governor of Alaska, one of the things she promised was that she would stand up for Conservative principles, and would spend her time going around the country supporting candidates who shared her values. She said it didn’t matter if they were Republicans, democrats, or from no party at all. It’s that principle over party attitude that we need in America right now.

Now is the time for all Americans to decide what they want America to be, where we want America to go. It is indeed a time for choosing.

Do we want America to remain a free Republic, a nation where a person’s own abilities and strengths are honored, a place where everyone who tries has the opportunity to succeed, or do we want a centrally controlled communist super state where little regard for personal liberties and freedoms exist. A Big Government nanny state where tyranny is the watchword of the day, and people are taxed into oblivion, while the government chooses winners and losers?

This isn’t a hard choice for me, I’ll tell you that! I stand on the side of liberty and freedom, and I stand on the side of Sarah Palin and Doug Hoffman!

Fred Thompson has a brand new advertisement that will be running in NY-23

This pretty much sums it up

Look, most of the nation is looking at the Governors races in Virginia and New Jersey as a bellwether to 2010. A referendum on Barack Obama and the rest of his communist party. And that it is. Obama won Virginia handily, and if the polling is correct, Bob McDonnell, the Conservative Republican candidate, is on his way to a landslide victory, a strong repudiation of what Obama is doing. And even New Jersey, a reliable democrat state is looking like it may elect the Republican, Chris Christie. That would be huge.

But the real battle, the real iconic election is NY-23. If Doug Hoffman’s polling holds, and he indeed wins this election, it will serve as proof that when voters are offered a clear choice between candidates, they will chose a Conservative. This should once and for all show the hard headed "elites" that running "adequately conservative" democrat-lite candidates is a losing strategy, and one that needs to stop!

Join Sarah Palin, Fred and Jeri Thompson, Dick Armey, myself, and a growing list Americans and support Doug Hoffman. Lets send a strong and clear message to the Republican party that "business as usual" just won’t cut it any more!

By winning in New York, we will start the process of taking the Republican party back from the "elite" beltway hacks and give it back to principled Americans who put their principles, their ideas, over party politics. A huge win for Conservatives, but even a bigger win for all of America. We need a strong Conservative Republican party to take America back, and get her on the right track again. We need a strong Conservative Republican party to drag America away from the abyss.
