Governor Palin and Kristi King Help Me Celebrate My Birthday

By Adrienne Ross - www.motivationtruth.com

Happy 40th Birthday to me! I've been celebrating for a few days. It's been filled with great surprises. Today, I got the following tweet from Governor Palin:

Happy 20th anniversary celebrating your 20th birthday, Adrienne Ross! Have a blast today. And keep the faith.
Here's a screenshot:

Governor Palin really is one of us--the real deal!

So what have I been up to? I'm here in Missouri having a wonderful time with my friend, Kristi King. Kristi threw me a surprise bonfire birthday party Saturday with a special Palin cake--great food and great friends! Check out the pictures below. They didn't come out very well in the dark, but you still get the picture--literally!

Death by Facebook for Sarah Palin

Cross-posted at Palintwibe.com:

About a week ago, I posted here samples of hate filled and violent threat tweets toward Governor Sarah Palin. It was not a pleasurable thing to do, but people need to be made aware, especially since Governor Palin has been accused of being hate inciting. The "love everyone and let's just get along" crowd of the left feels warm and accepting toward every critter and human alive, minus a few select outspoken conservatives, with the main target of their hate being Sarah Palin.

It's truly astonishing how such people that would consider themselves sane and loving can spew such vitrolic acid from their fingertips and mouths. Just what has Governor Palin and her family done to them personally? How can they wish death and give clear cut methods of achieving it with no remorse or second thought?

Does not Governor Palin have freedom of speech guaranteed to all citizens of the United States of America? Yet, I have never heard or seen anything said or written by her that called for anyone she disagreed with in the world of politics to be killed. And like it or not, I cannot call the cries for her dead body to be tortured and screwed into the oil spill as a plug "free speech" by any sane American.

What? You didn't hear about that? I found out because TIME magazine's online news feed page had a story on it. Check out this Facebook page and see for yourself. It calls for "two birds to be killed with one stone" on the information page. At the time of this writing, the group numbers 119,656, fans of the page 1,000,000 People Who Want to Plug the BP Oil Spill with Sarah Palin.

Sound ha, ha, funny? Not if you read the info and wall comments. I certainly hope that the Facebook community reports and flags this page enough to pull it. Facebook itself would do well to avoid any kind of liability or reputation issues by shutting it down quickly. Copycat pages are already popping up like here and here. They should all be eradicated, along with any other FB pages that suggest any person be used in that manner, not just Governor Palin.

If this particular site is gone before you get there to do your good duty of reporting it, take a gander at some screenshots. I call this the WALL OF SHAME. And to any of the fans of that page that may chance to stop by here:  Your mama should wash your mouths out with Lava Soap and send you to military school.

Was that too violent? I was taught not to say some things.

Oh, and one more thing....it's all about the money, baby. The page's creator has a Cafe Press store too. Yeah, they even sell stuff for the kiddies. Sick.

Warning: Language Advisory

There are plenty more examples, but you get the gist. Please report and flag this page and similar ones. It is people like these that are making our country a dangerous and divided place. May God help us all.

The "R" Word: The Weapon is the VOTE!

by NYPalinPower - www.nypalinpower.blogspot.com

With Sarah, either you get her or you don't.

Look, I am certainly not one for violence. I am a prayer warrior who believes in peace and even I knew what Sarah Palin meant when she used the "R" word in her twitter tweet. Come on people, don't you get it? It is not about violence at all, Sarah Palin used the word in regard to elections. RELOAD means to VOTE ONCE AGAIN, AND THIS TIME AIM BETTER!

When you understand the true meaning of the "R" word, it means POWER TO THE PEOPLE. So is it not surprising that the main stream media and the status quo want you to think otherwise? Don't buy into their rhetoric.

Having said that, I will attempt to "sensitively" make things a little more clear.

First and foremost... SARAH PALIN is for the PEOPLE. Sarah is the only politician standing up for the people against the powerful status quo of our leadership in Washington who are not serving us. She sees that the voice of Americans are being ignored and America's constitution is being mistreated. So naturally she is not very happy.

Our elected leaders have let us down over and over again, serving their own selfish interests at the expense of our country and our constitution. So what do we do? How do we change our leadership from those who are not serving us to those who will? The answer is simple, we need to vote out of office the politicians who are not listening to us and replace them with responsible and selfless public servants that will. We want leaders with common sense and integrity who hold the best interests of the people and the country at heart. This latest healthcare vote has made our voices louder and clearer, and we are finally saying, the game is over!

So in a nutshell, this is what the "R" word means...

All Americans who feel betrayed by their current leaders in Washington need to VOTE them out, and use this vote as a weapon, not for violence (duh) but to change the quality of leadership in our government.

Adrienne Ross put it very well in her blog:

"The governor used Twitter and Facebook to encourage Americans to use their voting power to make a difference. As a hunter from the state of Alaska, she used a fitting metaphor to make a point. She used the same language her dad used when she resigned from the governor's office. Mr. Heath said, "Sarah's not retreating. She's reloading." All of a sudden, they've forgotten this metaphor. The Left obviously has selective memory to go along with their selective outrage."

Sarah Palin: Watch Glenn Beck's "Manufactured Crisis" Documentary Tomorrow

Governor Palin tweeted this invitation to watch Glenn Beck's documentary on FOX News tomorrow:

November 30, 2009 Synopsis of Governor Palin's Accomplishments

Governor Palin's accomplishments over the past two months distill to four core areas: book tour, media Interviews, commercial speaking engagements, and communicating with us via Facebook Notes and Tweets.

Going Rogue Book Tour

Going Rogue: An American Life was released on Tuesday, November 17, 2009. The book had already earned number one positions in pre-order sales at both Amazon and Barnes & Noble. The tour began on Wednesday, November 18 in Grand Rapids, MI -- the state for which McCain campaign aides said Governor Palin was "going rogue" when she issued a statement that she wanted to continue campaigning there -- and the basis of the book's title. The tour moved east, then south, stopping for Thanksgiving and is now underway once more. The book tour will stop in the western half of the United States, with a brief return east and conclude on December 10. Retail sales of Going Rogue exceeded 700,000 during the first week of the tour.

For those unable to make a signing for whatever reason, a $100 donation to either SarahPAC or the Republican Governors Association will earn you a signed copy -- a sweet deal, considering that people are spending $500 or more to travel to signing events.

Media Interviews

Concomitant with the book tour, Governor Palin conducted interviews with Oprah Winfrey, Barbara Walters, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Greta Van Susteren, Eddie Burke, among others.

Commercial Speaking Engagements

Governor Palin addressed the Wisconsin Right to Life group on November 6, 2009. She will be speaking to student at the College of the Ozarks on citizenship, involvement and patriotism on December 2, 2009; the Salina, KS Chamber of Commerce on February 5, 2010, the National Tea Party Convention on February 6, 2010, and a Sierra Cascade Logging Conference on February 8, 2010.

These are Washington Speakers Bureau speeches, which means there is a prohibition on media coverage and recording of the content for dissemination. Professional reporters and some bloggers have attached a negative connotation to this prohibition, but these are commercial, copyrighted speeches, and re-broadcasting them diminishes the value of them.

Facebook and Twitter

Governor Palin has published Facebook Notes on health care, energy independence, and national security during these past two months. One item, "Drill" was published in National Review. Governor Palin now has well over 1 million supporters on Facebook; her new Twitter account SarahPalinUSA has nearly 32,000 followers. Her old Twitter account, AKGovSarahPalin was decommissioned. This author has archived Tweets from that account.

@AKGovSarahPalin Tweet Archive

Governor Palin's old Twitter account, @AKGovSarahPalin will be decommissioned very shortly. This document is a screen shot compilation of every Tweet posted under that account. Several of Governor Palin's Tweets are Presidential in quality. Others are inspirational. The time line gives a "play-by-play" of Governor Palin's whereabouts while she was in office and illustrates how hard she worked to serve her constituents. All timestamps are Eastern. This document will help ensure that Governor Palin's entire Twitter time line is preserved forever.

Charged Up and Going Rogue: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

It's happening again. Once again the media, liberal left and former McCain campaign advisers are out and about spreading false information and lies about Sarah Palin. It was no secret this would happen. Even before Sarah announced her plans to write a book, these groups were traveling down the vengeful path of attempting to destroy Sarah and her family's good name. Levi Johnston has even gotten into the mix. Now, while I have made it a rule not to discuss Levi on my blog, I will only use him as an example to illustrate the fact that the liberal msm are using him to further their assault on the Palins. What does this say about the media? What does this say about the state the media find themselves in today? In the words of Sean Hannity, "Journalism is dead." This is hard for me to fathom. As someone who studied journalism, I learned about what journalism should be, not about what it has become. How ironic that the msm go after and wrongly attack a woman who was once a journalist herself? Shame on the msm for attacking a woman for exercising her right to freedom of speech. There is a valid answer for this in that they believe in the need and power of free speech just as long as they agree with what is being said. When Sarah speaks out against the Obama Administration, the in-the-tank-for-Obama media see this as a threat to its Pro-Obama message. Since they see Sarah as a threat, they will do everything in their power to discredit her even if this means reporting erroneous stories and showing photoshopped pictures, which happens to be their latest stunt.

Just the other day, I happened to be watching the news and sipping on my morning cup of coffee, when I began to channel surf. I immediately stopped surfing when I saw an image of Sarah appear on the television screen. Dylan Ratigan of MSNBC was doing a report on Sarah and while the report was not the worst I had seen come from this liberal network, it was the photos this network chose to show of Sarah that were clearly unfair given two of them were not of Sarah herself, but instead photoshopped images. You all probably know of the photos I'm referring to. One of the photoshopped pictures had Sarah's head placed on an image of a flag-bikini-clad woman. The other photo had Sarah's head placed on an image of a woman in a black mini-skirt. Not only was this wrong of Ratigan and MSNBC, but it is extremely sexist and once again clearly illustrates the double standard of treatment conservative women receive when compared to their liberal counterparts. MSNBC had to have known these photos were photoshopped. These two photos were proven fake months ago. Once again, MSNBC is illustrating just how out of touch and bias it really is. I urge you to hold Ratigan and MSNBC accountable. Voice your outrage here on Ratigan's Twitter page. We need to continue to hold the media accountable, and let them know that we are on to their game and will not stand for false, biased reporting.

Over the course of the next few weeks, be prepared for an onslaught of attacks aimed at Sarah as she travels across America meeting average-day "Mainstreet U.S.A." folks like you and me. The media, liberal left and so-called McCain advisers have already ramped up their attacks of Sarah in an attempt to cover their hides, which is why you see these individuals doing everything in their power to place the blame on her. The Steve Schmidts and Nicolle Wallaces of this world are obviously going to try to blame Sarah when we all know that they are really the individuals whom should be blamed. While we Sarah supporters know this to be the case, others are beginning to see the light as well. I'm sure it is no surprise to you to learn people's belief in the overall credibility of the media is at an all-time low. It is not hard to see why when you have examples like the MSNBC report above.

MSNBC is not the only media outlet to pull outlandish shenanigans. We have seen biased reporting from every medium whether it be print or broadcast. Most recently, the Associated Press (AP) did one of the most unethical things in the history of journalism, although you wouldn't even know they had done anything of the sort because the liberal msm refuses to report it. The AP wrongfully got a hold of an advance copy of Sarah's book, but the story doesn't end there. They, then, put 11 so-called "fact checkers" to work to make sure the book was fully accurate, and now, they have resulted to reporting false information. Give me a break. This further illustrates how much of a joke the msm have become. Sarah isn't letting them off the hook. Here's the Facebook note she posted yesterday morning regarding the incident:

Really? Still Making Things Up?

By Sarah Palin Sunday at 6:47 a.m.

"The book tour starts this week, and I look forward to it! I'm most looking forward to meeting many of you, shaking your hands, and telling you,"Thanks for loving America." I'll give you a scoop here and tell you what's on the book's Dedication Page - it's dedicated to you - Patriots - who love the U.S.A. as much as I do.

Amazingly, but not surprisingly, the AP somehow nabbed a copy of the book before it was released. They're now erroneously reporting on the book's contents and are repeating many of the same things they spewed during the campaign and afterwards. We've heard 11 writers are engaged in this opposition research, er, "fact checking" research! Imagine that - 11 AP reporters dedicating time and resources to tearing up the book, instead of using the time and resources to "fact check" what's going on with Sheik Mohammed's trial, Pelosi's health care takeover costs, Hasan's associations, etc. Amazing.

We'll keep setting the record straight, and we'll keep reminding some in the media that Americans are very tired of their non-objective reporting. A great, recent post that accomplishes this is a Conservatives4Palin post. It's got some nice fact checking included. As always, they did a great job holding some of the media accountable for spreading more misinformation and for making things up. You can read it here. Enjoy!

And I can't wait to see you! God bless the fight for freedom! Keep up the great work, Patriots who love this country."

- Sarah Palin

Sarah is right!!! We ALL need to continue to hold the media accountable. It is important, now more than ever, that we be on the lookout for inaccurate, biased reporting. Remember, we are a strong and proud army of Palin supporters. Together, we can accomplish just about anything. As Sarah travels the country, many of you will have the opportunity to meet her and shake her hand. Make sure to tell her "thank you" for everything she has done for our country and for everything she will continue to do. She has inspired so many, and the very mention of her name sparks fear in the minds of the left. Whenever they make fun of her, call her unintelligent or misinformed, know this is code-speak for the fear they have of her. More and more individuals are coming around and realizing the power she holds. Rush Limbaugh believes in her, and just yesterday in an interview with FNC's Chris Wallace, Liz Cheney voiced her belief in Sarah. Yep, Sarah is continuing to be the powerful force we all knew she would be. Was there ever any doubt? NO. Like you, I will waiting impatiently like a child on Christmas Eve for my gift to arrive in the mail. And I can't wait to discuss Sarah's book with others who are reading it too. I encourage you all to follow Sarah on her Twitter account as she shares what life is like on the book-tour trail. Kinda brings back familiar memories of life on the campaign trail except for one important detail: This time, Sarah's in charge, and this time, she's GOING ROGUE!!! WOOO HOOO!!! Make sure to visit Sarah when she makes a stop in your neck of the woods.

Sarah Palin’s New Twitter Account Explodes On The Scene!

As we wrote Monday, Sarah Palin announced the early dates for her "Going Rogue" national book tour. At the same time, Sarah announced that she will be back on Twitter.

Sarah’s new Twitter account, SarahPalinUSA, has exploded with an incredible surge of followers. In the 24 hours since she announced the site 12,758 people have signed up to be a part of the excitement.

It should be noted that Sarah’s former Twitter account, the one she used as Governor, had 152,650 followers when she suspended it’s use. To put that in perspective, that was more than Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, Bobby Jindal, and Tim Pawlenty had combined, with over 60,000 to spare. Two thirds of those folks joined up after her July 3rd speech announcing she would step down as Governor of Alaska.

With almost one million supporters on Facebook, a number that grows by the hour on her very busy site, it’s quite obvious that Sarah has mastered the internet in ways other politicians have not been able to.

Sarah has been able to by-pass the old media, and get her messages out to America, unfiltered, and unedited. With these messages she has been able to shape the national debate on health care, energy independence, and economic policy. By forgoing traditional media in favor of Facebook, Sarah has been able to make national headlines, and in the case of energy and monetary policy, headlines world wide for her astute reflections on the state of affairs.

This is a brilliant strategy, obviously. The media follow her every move, and as her every Facebook post reaches millions, you don’t have to be signed up to read them, the old dinosaur media is obliged to report what she says, even as they try in vane to refute it. A total win-win situation for her.

When Sarah stepped down, she promised her tweets wouldn’t be so "politically correct" as they had to be when she was Governor. It will be very interesting to see what she will have to say as she tours the nation visiting with Americans on the "Going Rogue" tour.

"Going Rogue" Book Tour Dates Through Thanksgiving AND new Twitter Account

Per Gov. Sarah Palin's Facebook post today.
Here are some details of the upcoming book tour. I’m starting in Michigan and you’ll understand why when you read the book. Last year, I made a promise to the good people of Michigan that I would be back, and now I’m keeping that promise. (Michigan is near and dear to my family’s heart! Our eldest son, Track, lived with a great host family there during his hockey days.)

From Michigan, the “Going Rogue” tour will cover as much of the country as possible. I’ve decided to stop in cities that are not usually included in a typical book tour. For instance, I’m looking forward to meeting our honorable men in women in uniform and their families at a Fort Bragg book signing, and to reconnecting with friends my family made last year on the campaign trail in different book signing venues.

We have a tight schedule, but I’m working with the publisher to allow possibilities of stopping at a few unannounced places, too.

I’ll Twitter information when the tour starts, so I’ll post our progress from the road. You can follow on Twitter at SarahPalinUSA.

Below are dates, times, and locations for the first part of the tour – this schedule brings us up to Thanksgiving, where I’ll get to connect with family in Washington state for the holiday. Stay tuned for our post-Thanksgiving schedule coming soon.

Please contact each venue for more information. Can’t wait to see you soon!

Information, Social Networking, and Sarah Palin

Did you ever see Gone with the Wind? Remember the scene where everyone gathers in Atlanta, waiting for the "death lists" to be handed out on slips of paper? I remember seeing this movie when I was younger and thinking to myself how hard it must have been for everyone involved - those waiting on the news and those anxious to get it out. Boy, "information dissemination" has come a long way since then, hasn't it? I call it that because you can't really call it news anymore. With most of the mainstream media in the "progressive pocket," i.e. the White House, it's hard to get away with calling it any more than opinion or commentary. With the advent of the Internet, information dissemination has gone from taking days to taking minutes, even seconds. I was commenting to my husband last night how much I loved Twitter. Almost instantly after hopping on and pulling up a few of my favorite hashtag streams, I can know exactly what the political pulse is and what the hot topics are.

My parents grew up in a generation where many accepted the printed word as fact. If it was in writing, it must be true. I remember an English teacher once telling me to be cautious of that. It was common for all of us to believe what we read as fact. The older I have gotten, the more I have come to realize this is definitely not true. I think the nation is finally waking up and coming to this realization as well. Print is not dead, but it takes on different forms. Print in the Internet and on social networking sites is now much more alive than the paper of days gone by.

Why do I bring this up? Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites have enabled us to instantly gather the information we need to make informed decisions. With bloggers (myself included) in the mix, we have fact as well as commentary at our fingertips. Sarah Palin gets it. She knows that one of the best ways to reach "the people," the real people, is to use the site they use to reach each other - Facebook. Once she was freed of her constraints as governor, she began using Facebook as a medium for passing on her thoughts, ideas, and fact-based informational writings. Others are trying to emulate this, but they just don't get it - part of the reason this works is because it's Sarah Palin, and not them, putting the information out.

Last night while watching Glenn Beck, I saw a clip of a left-winger talking about using Facebook as a way to get his message out. Gee, I wonder where they got that idea? I love how they talk about Sarah Palin without really talking about Sarah Palin. Part of the reason Facebook works for her is because the people who embrace her are ordinary folk who see her as just like them - ordinary folk. They trust her. They believe her. It is only those who are jaded by the political rhetoric and those who have been involved in politics too long that have a hard time even listening to what she has to say. To them she is just noise. To those of us in the know, she is the conservative oasis in our nation's liberal desert.

Sarah Palin is a ground breaker, a "think outside the box" kind of person, and continues to refuse to be cast out of the same mold as all the other politicians. She will continue to do things her own way and Facebook and other social networking sites will continue to work for her and serve her well. Maybe this is the "Hope and Change" we all need. My "hope" is that more will come to embrace Sarah because she is the "Change" we all need right now.

Sarah Palin: The Tide is Turning

All the latest news on Sarah Palin can be found at Conservatives4Palin.com including the dismissal of frivolous complaints, a report on her visit to survey flood damage in Eagle (includes a video interview with Palin), and her new book deal. Bookmark C4P!

Read Governor Palin's press release on the latest dismissal of complaints. My friend Josh Painter has more at RedState.

Read the press release from HarperCollins on the book deal as it appears at The Page.

Here are some recent quotes from around the web on Governor Sarah Palin.

"Gov. Palin is one of the most charismatic, inspiring and controversial figures to appear on the national political stage for many years. She has a fascinating story to tell, and we look forward to publishing what surely will be a captivating book." -- Brian Murray of HarperCollins, quoted in LATimes

"Palin remains a huge fund-raising draw in the GOP and receives celebrity-style media coverage, so she should enjoy a promotion windfall – every show in the world will want her." -- Mike Allen, Politico

"Palin is the prime mover in Republican politics. When Cantor unveiled the National Council, the first question asked by every reporter was whether Palin was involved and, if not, why not." -- Chris Cillizza, The Washington Post

There’s nothing wrong with being a simple girl. If you want to marry your high school sweetheart, never work a day in your life, and drive a bug, if that’s what makes you happy, then you’re a winner.” -- Country music singer Gretchen Williams on Palin's persona, The Washington Examiner

"When it comes to having ethics complaints dismissed, Alaska governor Sarah Palin is now batting 1.000 — 11 down, 3 to go. (I originally had it batting .785, but she's actually 11 for 11 with three at-bats remaining.)" -- Jim Geraghty reporting ever-so-casually on the most recent dismissals, National Review Online (I added this quote because I think it's appropriate to characterize this "complaint-fest" as a new kind of "sport" that has reached the level of leisurely entertainment on par with SpongeBob's forays into Jellyfish Fields. Can't you almost see Geraghty yawning as he writes that? I mean "ArcticCatJacketGate"? Please. Remember when SpongeBob was worried about Flats Flounder the Bully and when Flats finally hit him, SpongeBob said, "Haha, that tickles!" SpongeBob is made of, well, SPONGE! Yeah, it's kinda like that.)

"During the '08 campaign, Palin "was regularly multi-tasking, working her twin BlackBerrys (state equipment is prohibited from political use), even while tending to baby son Trig." (photo left) -- Mark Milian, LATimes, who also reports that, yes, her Twitter messages are her own, not a staffer's. Follow Sarah Palin on Twitter.

"Palin is a force to be reckoned with. Post-election polling has consistently shown her to be within the top three GOP 2012 contestants, and the fervor of her supporters is not to be underestimated. Whether or not she will be able to bridge the credibility gap that was so damaged by her tumultuous tenure as John McCain’s 2008 running mate is yet to be seen. But should she fully regain the public’s trust and admiration and safely ditch its TMZ-esque bewilderment of her, watch out: come this time in November 2012, she could be making one heck of a run down Pennsylvania Avenue." -- Chandler Epp, The Rundown

"Let me make this clear because this is my world and these are the people I’ve worked with for twenty years. Members of the network media elite as well as members and people who worked for the New York Times, when Sarah Palin first came on the scene and this is what they knew about her: She was a woman, she was pro-life, and she had some very, very conservative views on other issues. And all I could hear from my friends in the network media elite was, 'Let’s bring her down. I hope these rumors bring her down.' And at a party where there were people from the New York Times, all they would talk about is the rumors that they hoped would bring her down. They did not know her. They didn’t know anything about her. But they wanted to bring her down." -- Mika Brzezinski, interviewed by Joe Scarborough, Poligazette has audio.

During the campaign, the mainstream media told us far more about how Palin deals with Alaska state troopers than we were about Obama's truly radical agenda.........but people are waking up across America. It's impossible to speculate on what sort of impact Palin's book will have since it won't be released for another year, but considering that her approval rating remains solid despite an attempt by powerful forces to bring her down that has been, arguably, unprecedented in scope, it's hard to imagine that Palin's got anywhere left to go but up. Response to: "Sarah Palin Twitter Account: Governor Starts Her Own Feed"

I posted the comment below in response to this article: Sarah Palin Twitter Account: Governor Starts Her Own Feed http://tinyurl.com/cot93a. (Posted at 06:32 PM on 05/02/2009 as Ascorbate).

The reason that Palin fans use the moniker Sarah Palin or some combination thereof is simply to be picked up in the Twitter search engine. Most of these "fake" Sarah Palin accounts are simply supporters of Sarah Palin. Her arrival on the Twitter scene has been long awaited. That is why her supporters are flocking to her site.

There are plenty of vile and hateful Twitter sites that use the Sarah Palin moniker in an attempt to smear and ridicule her. But in the long run, the smears and lies hurt the sender more than the receiver. The truth has a way of coming out. And there will be a time when we will all account for our words and deeds in this life.

Sarah Palin is a truly amazing woman and a capable leader. It is rare to find a woman with the combination of outstanding qualities that she possesses. Most of us are fortunate to have one or more of them, but she has been gifted with so many. Sarah Palin definitely has my support, and I will be voting for her for President in 2012 if she decides to run!
