A Dead Fish, Expletives and Discriminatory Language: The Tale of Rahm Emanuel- A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

It is no secret Rahm Emanuel has a very short fuse and is prone to angrily attacking those around him. Remember the dead fish he sent to a political rival? Yep, he is quite a piece of work. It is what he has done recently that has concerned Americans like myself on fire. A gentleman from the great state of Massachusetts alerted Sarah Palin to an incident between Mr. Emanuel and participants in a strategy session. Instead of instructing the group appropriately, he reportedly referred to the participants as "F---ing retarded." Not only did Mr. Emanuel clearly cross the line, but he did so in a way that was both offensive and derogatory. While you and I know that his words were wrong and should be addressed, the media are once again turning a blind eye to the White House. This isn't the first time a member of the White House has unfairly mocked referred to those with special needs in a derogatory way. Just last year, our very own president made fun of his bowling skills, making fun of the Special Olympics in the process. It took a lot of pressing for the media to finally report the story causing president to apologize for words he NEVER should have uttered in the first place.

You think the Obama Administration would think twice before pulling such a stunt again, but, then again, we are talking about an Administration that prides itself on being a media darling. Can you imagine if President Bush had uttered such a statement on The Late Show? What if Karl Rove had pulled a Rahmbo? I know both of these men would NEVER even think to do such a thing, but if they had, you all know the media would be all over the story, as they should. Where are they now? Where are they to speak out on behalf of individuals with special needs and their families? Then again, who needs the biased media when we have amazing individuals like that gentleman in Mass. and Sarah? Thank God we have a woman who is not afraid to do what the media seem so afraid to do. In calling out Mr. Emanuel, she is literally calling out the entire White House for actions they seem to ignore. Adrienne Ross, my good friend over at the blog Motivation: Truth, has written an excellent post about this incident, and I stand with her and Sarah in calling out Mr. Emanuel for his terrible, disgusting use of words. (I encourage you all to read Adrienne's post here.)

Shame on Rahm Emanuel for using such vulgar language and hurtful words. He obviously thinks he is above any criticism because he seems to make a fool of himself on a regular basis; furthermore, he shows a complete disregard for people in general. Just today, it has been reported the Mr. Emanuel did in fact issue an apology to Tim Shriver, the CEO of the Special Olympics. While I applaud Mr. Emanuel's actions, he shouldn't just be apologizing to the Special Olympics, but to every member of the special need community and their families; after all, his terrible comments effect many. It is only right that Mr. Emanuel right his wrongs and apologize to all, for until he does, people will wonder just how sincere his most recent apology was. Actions speak louder than words, Mr. Emanuel.

Like my friend Adrienne, I too work at a school. When I heard that Mr. Emanuel had made uttered this statement, I immediately thought of the high school students I work with. I work with a variety of students from all walks of life. I would NEVER refer to any one of my students as "retarded." All members of our society should feel welcome and accepted. No one deserves to be called a word that so many have rightfully tried to remove from use. If anyone has the right to speak out in outrage, it is Sarah. As the mother of a child with special needs and an advocate for children and adults with special needs, Sarah understands firsthand how much words like "retarded" hurt individuals.

Individuals with special needs deserve the same amount of respect as you and me. They are hard-working individuals who just want to be treated like everyone else, and when individuals like Rahm Emanuel spew hateful words like that, it is insulting and unfair to these amazing individuals. Wake up, Mr. Emanuel! Wake up, Mr. Obama. Wake up, lame stream media! Wake up and see that by letting comments like this go unnoticed, it seems to insinuate that you welcome dialogue that includes terms like "retarded." One can only hope that you all wise up and become as welcoming and loving as those in our special needs community, for they are true examples of people who exhibit unconditional love, for they live their lives with kind hearts and open minds. They truly do make the world a better place, and for this, the least we could do is show them the respect they deserve!

The following is Sarah's note to Mr. Emanuel:
Are You Capable of Decency, Rahm Emanuel?

The newly-released mind-boggling, record-smashing $3,400,000,000,000 federal budget invites plenty of opportunity to debate the merits of incurring more and more debt that will drown the next generation of Americans. Never has it been possible to spend your way out of debt. So... let the debate begin.

Included in the debate process will be opportunities for our president to deliberate internally the wisdom of this debt explosion, along with other economic, military and social issues facing our country. Our president will discuss these important issues with Democrat leaders and those within his inner circle. I would ask the president to show decency in this process by eliminating one member of that inner circle, Mr. Rahm Emanuel, and not allow Rahm’s continued indecent tactics to cloud efforts. Yes, Rahm is known for his caustic, crude references about those with whom he disagrees, but his recent tirade against participants in a strategy session was such a strong slap in many American faces that our president is doing himself a disservice by seeming to condone Rahm’s recent sick and offensive tactic.

The Obama Administration’s Chief of Staff scolded participants, calling them, “F---ing retarded,” according to several participants, as reported in the Wall Street Journal.

Just as we’d be appalled if any public figure of Rahm’s stature ever used the “N-word” or other such inappropriate language, Rahm’s slur on all God’s children with cognitive and developmental disabilities – and the people who love them – is unacceptable, and it’s heartbreaking.

A patriot in North Andover, Massachusetts, notified me of Rahm’s “retarded” slam. I join this gentleman, who is the father of a beautiful child born with Down Syndrome, in asking why the Special Olympics, National Down Syndrome Society and other groups condemning Rahm’s degrading scolding have been completely ignored by the White House. No comment from his boss, the president?

As my friend in North Andover says, “This isn’t about politics; it’s about decency. I am not speaking as a political figure but as a parent and as an everyday American wanting my child to grow up in a country free from mindless prejudice and discrimination, free from gratuitous insults of people who are ostensibly smart enough to know better... Have you no sense of decency, sir?”

Mr. President, you can do better, and our country deserves better.

- Sarah Palin

UPDATE: Yesterday, I posted a piece about why I am pro-life. I learned this afternoon that phenonmenal blogger, Robert Stacy McCain, was inspired by my post, so he wrote his own post in support of life and mentioned my post. I want to thank him from the bottom of my heart. The Other McCain is THE REAL DEAL FOR SURE!!! Read his must-read post here.

Metaphorically Speaking...

Adrienne Ross wrote an excellent, hard-hitting blog this weekend about how Levi Johnston is parlaying lies, attacking his son's family, and making excuses for not adequately supporting his son. Her post is filled with metaphors, comparing Levi to a dog that won't lie down and shut up but just keeps running around barking and biting. In her last paragraph, she used the words "put down" metaphorically to say that Levi needs to be told to shut up.

Two of the Sarah Palin-hating blogs intentionally misunderstood Adrienne's metaphor and tried to spin it as saying that Adrienne wanted to put Levi down as in euthanization. This was the farthest thing from Adrienne's mind and would be totally inconsistent with the statement she made in the immediately preceding paragraph:

I believe there's hope for Levi; I really do. And I hope he grabs ahold of
it soon because he's treading on very thin Alaska ice.

Since the hater blogs chose to misinterpret Adrienne's metaphor by using a definition for "put down" that is totally inconsistent with Adrienne's intentions, I decided to check an online dictionary. And here are the meanings for "put down" that are constistent with Adrienne's intentions.

From Merriam-Webster:

to bring to an end : stop

disapprove, criticize

to make ineffective : check

So Adrienne's use of the word "put down" was totally appropriate for its context. It is to the haters' discredit that they attempted to turn an innocent remark into something that it was not.

But then that is what we have come to expect from the evilmongers who habitually use lies and distortions to attack Governor Palin and her family.

Adrienne Ross is a valued member of the excellent team of authors on the Sarah Web Brigade blog and Sarah Palin Information Blog. She is also an author on US4Palin, C4P, and SarahNet. In addition, she is in a leadership position with the 2012 Draft Sarah Palin Committee. Like Sarah Palin, she loves her God and her country and walks the walk with her conservative values.

It is sad to see people so filled with hatred that they will turn the truth into a lie. But that is what is happening on a daily basis on the blogs that attacked Adrienne. However, the truth will prevail, as it always does in the end.

Attacks on Conservative Blogger Unwarranted

In the last few days, friend and author Adrienne Ross has been under attack for an article she posted on several blogs, discussing the custody issue between Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston. The flap revolves around one particular paragraph:

“I believe there’s hope for Levi; I really do. And I hope he grabs a hold of it soon because he’s treading on very thin Alaska ice. Like I said at the start, there’s something to be said for letting sleeping dogs lie. But when a lying dog refuses to put his rabid mouth to sleep, sometimes you just have to put that dog down.” (Read Adrienne's entire original article here)

As has been pointed out, Ms. Ross is an English teacher and accomplished writer. In their attempt to discredit her writings, they have used this very point against her, saying she should have known how her words would be interpreted. I use that same point, her writing skills, to make this point: she IS an excellent writer. This article was heavily laced with metaphor and idioms, something that seems to be difficult for her attackers to understand.

Others have used similar phrasings to make a point. For example, when President-elect Obama used the term "lipstick on a pig" during a speech, did anyone actually think he was going around with a red lipstick, chasing pigs? The left strongly argued that their idol was merely using an idiom he was familiar with, but others may not be. Another example is the recent flap over Harry Reid's racially-charged comments, which were made some time ago, and recently came to light after the publication of a political book. Again, the left argued that Mr. Reid was misunderstood and the terms he used were taken out of context. Why should this same understanding not be afforded Ms. Ross?

I have tried to make sense of the far-left's thinking, but there is no reasoning with it:

Insanity + Internet access = Liberal Blogger

This seems to be the order of the day. Adrienne has been fair and accurate in her writings on this subject. The attacks on her by the far-left are unwarranted and much more aggressive than anything they are accusing Ms. Ross of. The threats of legal action against Ms. Ross are baseless. Law is based on what a reasonable person would do in a situation. Any reasonable person who reads Ms. Ross' article will understand that she was not directly calling for harm to befall Mr. Johnston; only that Mr. Johnston needs to grow up and own up to his responsibilities - nothing more. Ms. Ross will continue to write, and should. Each of us brings a unique insight into various situations with our writings. Her contributions are valuable and this vitriol must end.

Message of Thanks: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

During this time of year, I like to take a step back and just reflect on how lucky I am. Since this is my first Thanksgiving post, I've decided to write about just some of the many things I am so very, very thankful for. I encourage you all to do the same.

I am thankful for my family. While we have our ups and downs just like every family does, I am so thankful to be apart of such a close-knit group of individuals. My dad, mom, brother and sister mean so much to me, and I am so grateful that we have each other to lean on. While we may have disagreements from time to time, I Iook at my family with pride knowing that I can always depend on each and every member for support. My family is my rock and I'm so thankful for this; they truly keep me sane. I am so thankful that my dad and mom raised me in a loving Christian home. I will never be able to thank them enough for taking me to church each and every Sunday, even on the sundays in which I gave them hell for my having to wake up so early after a late night out the night before with friends while in high school. Thanks mom and dad for instilling in me the values that I hold close to my heart. Thank you for carpooling my siblings, friends and I around to church, school and the many sporting events throughout the years. I know I probably took you for granted back then, but I look back at how lucky I was and still am to have awesome parents like you.

I am also thankful to live in a country where I am able to worship God and practice my First-Amendment right to free speech; I am so thankful for the Constitution and for everything our founding fathers did for our country. I am so fortunate to live in a country where I can write a blog and use it as a platform to support Sarah Palin and conservatism. Sarah is the reason I started this blog, and she will never fully know how grateful I am to her for waking me up politically and giving me the passion to want to stand up and speak out. I am thankful we have such an amazing leader on the conservative side of the aisle. Sarah and her amazing family are phenomenal, and I am so thankful to God for placing each and every member of Sarah's family in the lives of Americans. As I repeatedly mention, God puts people on this earth for a specific purpose, and Sarah is fulfilling the job God has called her to do.

I'm thankful for the many, many individuals who I have gotten to know because of Sarah. Who would have ever thought that so many hard-working, freedom-loving individuals would be brought together because of one woman? The friendships I have formed on Twitter, Facebook and at the countless tea parties have been phenomenal. I was just telling my sister, Adrienne Ross, about how awesome it is that Sarah has brought so many people together. I am so thankful to be working alongside great friends like Adrienne, Kristina Lazzaro, Denise Spencer, Randy Highsmith, among others, as we work for the common purpose of spreading Sarah's common sense message for the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee. I truly believe in our committee, and I am so honored to be apart of it. The friendships I have made as a member of this committee will last a lifetime. I am really looking forward to travelling to Alaska with Kristina in May; I know it is going to be the trip of a lifetime.

I am so thankful for the members of our strong, brave military. Every member of the military holds a special place in my heart. While I will never have the opportunity to meet each and every brave man and woman in uniform, I always thank as many members as I can for the sacrifices they make daily to keep us free and protect us from threats. I am also eternally grateful to the military families as well. They hold the fort, so to speak, when their loved ones are deployed, and I cannot even begin to imagine how difficult it must be for them. They wait at home for their loved one's return, praying that their family member will return safely to American soil. Thank you so much military members and military families! God bless you for all you do and the countless sacrifices you all make each and every day.

Finally, I want to thank you, readers, for taking the time out of your busy, busy lives to read my blog. I am overwhelmed by the amount of visitors this blog receives daily. I am even more overwhelmed by the kind words of support many of you send my way. It is because of all of you that I write this blog day in and day out. You give me so much courage and strength. The positive messages I get from all of you make all of attacks I receive from the left easy to handle. Thank you; I love you all. God bless you and your families this Thanksgiving, and may you all have a healthy and happy start to the holiday season; we have so much to be thankful for.

New Feminism: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

What an eventful day yesterday. As you all know, Sarah Palin was scheduled to be a guest on #1 Alaska Radio Show Host Eddie Burke's show. Right before his show aired, he informed me that Sarah would be appearing on Wednesday's show instead. (Eddie's show airs from 3-6 PST. Click here to listen.) He asked me to come on the show at 3:30 PST, so I called Rishi, Eddie's producer before 3:30, and Rishi was nice enough to tell me that he would call me when Eddie was ready. See, isn't he a nice liberal? Rishi ended up calling me back about 15 minutes later, and I was put on to be interviewed by Eddie. I hope you all had the chance to listen to Eddie's show yesterday because you saw how great of a host Eddie is. While talking with Eddie, I was struck with just how great the people of Alaska are. I cannot wait to visit the state in May and meet the great folks who live there.

It was during my conversation with Eddie that I discovered what I would write about today. During our conversation, Eddie and I talked about a variety of Sarah-related issues, but it was our discussion of feminism that really fired me up. To many, including myself, Sarah is a modern-day feminist. She is a strong, intelligent woman who is happily married, loves being a mom and grandma and cherishes her career as well. The fact is that she stands for EVERYTHING self-described feminists have fought so hard against. She is pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, pro-marriage, pro-traditional family values and to top it all off, not afraid to dress feminine; she is comfortable in her own skin. Sarah is definitely the kind of woman these hateful so-called feminists warned us all about. The very fact that she chose life for her baby, precious little Trig, is further proof that she is not just talking the talk, but walking the walk. It infuriates these self-described feminist women every time she holds her baby, cares for her baby, loves her baby. It infuriates these women because they know that, unlike Sarah, they WOULD NOT have the courage to give birth to a child with special needs. That is why they hate her and loathe her; furthermore, Trig is evidence of just how precious and beautiful choosing life can be, which further sets these feminists tongues ablaze.

These so-called feminists preach equality and women's rights, while shunning the very fact that they are women themselves. They claim to want justice for women, yet they carry themselves like men. Instead of being proud proud of their feminine qualities, they wear pantsuits, flats and masculine haircuts. What happened to being proud of being a woman? Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with a classy black pantsuit, but I am talking about the self-described feminists who wear them. They hate Sarah because she is not afraid to wear a classy pencil skirt, blazer and heels. She is not afraid to wear her hair below her shoulders, put on some great makeup and flaunt her beautifully high cheek bones. When did it become wrong to want to appear beautiful both inside and out? When did it become so wrong for a woman to actually dress like a woman? While this seems like common sense to you and me, the NOW women, Planned Parenthood women and other liberal feminists out there do not believe in this type of woman. They do not believe a woman can be both intelligent and attractive.

Liberal, self-described feminists look down on Sarah for this very reason; it's as simple as that. They look down at her, as well as conservative women like her, because of the values she holds and the issues she believes in. Every time I watch feminists give interviews, I notice a common theme. These women all come across as being full of anger and resentment. I have been thinking long and hard about this. There is no doubt these women have successful careers and live comfortably, which is important, but something clearly seems to be missing from their lives. I fully believe this unhappiness results from the fact that they have found they are leading unfulfilled lives in which they seek to attain power, but lose out at experiencing any joys. Sarah Palin is an every woman in the sense that she has it all. The self-described feminists of today are clearly jealous of her for the life she leads. The extreme vitriol and hateful way in which they discuss her on television is proof of the fear they have of her, which speaks volumes in terms of the power she holds as a woman.

The very mention of Sarah's name has the power to destroy everything feminists have worked so hard for. More and more women are viewing Sarah as a strong, brilliant woman. The women of NOW and Planned Parenthood realize this, which is the cause of the ramped up attacks we have see occurring in recent days. Average-day American women are comparing these spiteful feminists to Sarah Palin, and they are asking themselves: "Do I want to be hateful, or do I want to be happy? What's so wrong with being proud to be a woman while holding a position of power?" Sarah is a happy, modern woman while her feminist counterparts are unhappily leading their lives as if it were still the Seventies. These same feminists who attack here and say she is a step backward for women are the same women who sit back and continue to watch as she is unfairly attacked. Where are these women to speak out on the sexist Newsweek cover that clearly takes Sarah out of context? Had that been a liberal woman on the cover, you know these groups would be out in full-force.

Where were these feminist groups when the AP put 11 fact-checkers to work on Sarah's book, clearly trying to discredit her? It is clear these woman do not care about rights for all women; moreover, they only seem to care about the rights of liberal women. My good friend, Adrienne Ross, of the blog Motivation: Truth gives an excellent reason for why organizations like the AP are doing everything in their power to bring Sarah down (courtesy of foxnews.com):

They're obsessed with trying to discredit her.... Because she's a conservative woman, they make fun of her accent, comment about her looks. She doesn't come in the package they want her to come in."

Well said, Adrienne. I believe what Adrienne said goes for the liberal-feminists who attack her as well. In attempting to bring her down, they are clearly illustrating the fear they have in the power this one woman holds. Sarah doesn't come in the plain, strictly wrapped feminist package- thank goodness for that; instead, she comes in a beautifully wrapped box, full of bold colors and topped off with a phenomenal red bow.

Sarah IS proof of how the times have clearly changed. She IS a modern-day feminist who is close to shattering the glass ceiling for women like me all over America. She is a successful woman who has a wonderful husband, five fantastic kids and an adorable grandson. It must really anger these women that Todd steps in and helps Sarah too. They are two equals, and for these liberal feminists who preach equality, one would think Sarah and Todd would be the poster couple for what a great marriage looks like. Yet, we are talking about women who loath traditional family values. We are talking about women who say they are pro-choice, but spew hate and judgment on a woman who CHOSE life. Sarah and modern-day medical technology ARE the reasons why people are choosing life. Women are seeing that little life in front of them on those ultra sound machines, and they are realizing that little being IS a living, breathing life.

When Sarah goes around the country with her family in the coming days, there is no doubt in my mind that the feminists who hate her will attempt to gain favor by speaking out against her just as they did when she held precious Trig on the campaign trail a little over a year ago. Let them try. Let them try to discredit her as an example of step back for women. Just remember this: We KNOW the truth. We KNOW what Sarah really is: She is a wife. She is a mother. She is a grandmother. She is a classy modern-day feminist who is not afraid to tell it like it is, doing it all in a classy skirt and high-heels. Yep, she is a woman of my time, a TRUE modern-day woman who will lead our country out of the wilderness and onward to that shining city on a hill.

Glenn Beck’s Friday The 13th Nightmare For Liberals Across America: Beck Hosts Prominent Black Conservatives

This is something I am promoting with great pleasure. It was two weeks ago when I opened an e-mail from Conservative blogger, man about town, and all around good guy Clifton B. Cliff was letting us know he would be appearing as a guest on the Glenn Beck show as part of a panel of prominent Black Conservatives. Of course, as a friend and fellow blogger, I was very excited. I knew This would be must see TV!

Now even better, we found out that another colleague and friend, Adrienne Ross, will also be part of this show as well. Man, this couldn’t get any better. Two great bloggers on one big show.

For those that haven’t had the pleasure, Clifton B, who writes as Another Black Conservative, is a must read. His blog covers all of the big topics of the day. Cliff is also a big supporter of Sarah Palin’s. In fact, that’s how we met. His blog is one you simply must bookmark.

Adrienne Ross and I share a lot of bandwidth on the blogs we contribute to. Her blog, Motivation: Truth takes a Christian Conservative look at the events that surround us. Adrienne is a teacher, by trade, and is also a strong supporter of Sarah Palin’s. She is very big in the Draft Sarah Palin 2012 movement. Adrienne’s blog has some great stories, including her trip to Alaska this summer. This is another blog that simply must be bookmarked, and read daily.

If you are a Glenn Beck fan, and well, who isn’t, you know he was rushed to the hospital last week for an emergency appendectomy. Glenn is doing fine and will be back hosting his show on Wednesday.

Glenn has had some very positive panels since he has moved his show over to the Fox News Network, and this will be no exception. So make sure you tune in on Friday, set your DVR, and get ready for the left wing loons’ worst nightmare!

Many thanks to the Left Coast Rebel for coming up with the cool poster to promote this event.

Adrienne Ross and Clifton Bazar to be on Glenn Beck

Update: Due to emergency appendix surgery for Glenn Beck, this interview is now scheduled to air Friday, November 13, 2009

Clifton Bazar and Adrienne Ross, Board Member, Media Director, and New York State Organizer of the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee will participate in a town hall-style forum on the Glenn Beck show Friday, November 613, 2009. Please check local listings for air times.

Glenn Beck is hosting the show with Black Conservative guests; Adrienne and Clifton will participate in the discussion with other like-minded conservatives.

If you have met Adrienne or have heard or watched any of her interviews regarding Governor Palin, then you know this will be a must-see event.

Both Adrienne and Clifton are authors on Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's Accomplishments, and Sarah's Web Brigade.

Clifton Bazar

Clifton Bazar is the editor and publisher of Another Black Conservative.

Mr. Bazar is a black conservative from a black conservative family. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and finally settled in New Jersey. Throughout his life he knew he did not share many of the common beliefs of other American blacks. For starters, he never took to the term "African-American." He has meet too many real Africans who are now Americans, to ever with a straight face say we share something in common other than skin tones. Their history and culture is truly a unique and is a completely different experience from his own. His culture is distinctly American, from the way he speaks, thinks, dresses and acts and you know what else? He loves it! So for him, he will always be an American who just happens to be black. He puts himself and his beliefs out here in cyberspace, to show his fellow blacks that there is something more. That one need not accept the false promise of the next social program, the belief in government as savior or the next Democratic candidate will right all wrongs. That true Hope and Change comes from belief in yourself, in a nation that allows dynamic movement if you are bold enough, smart enough and brave enough to make it happen.

Adrienne Ross

Adrienne Ross is the editor and publisher of Motivation: Truth and a Board Member, Media Director, and NY State Organizer for the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee. Ms. Ross met Governor Palin in Auburn, NY in early June, 2009 as part of celebrating Alaska's 50th Year of Statehood. She met Governor Palin a second time during a month-long trip to Alaska.

Ms. Ross is also an author on C4P, and SarahNet.

Ms. Ross is a born-again Christian who is madly in love with the Lord Jesus Christ. She is also a middle school English Language Arts teacher. She chooses to use the gifts God has given her to be a voice of truth in this crucial time in our nation. She is taking a stand for righteousness and for leaders, like Sarah Palin, who stand for righteousness because, as the Bible declares, "Righteousness exalts a nation." It's time for people of integrity to stand up, speak up, and make a difference. Her sole motivation? The TRUTH!

Sarah: Going Rogue-Take That, Tina Fey: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

I cannot wait until November 17th. Why? Well, fellow readers, it is the day Sarah's memoir is going to be released to those of us on "Mainstreet U.S.A." Since her memoir will be released just in time for the holidays, you wont have to stress over what to get your loved one for Christmas this year. Good thinking, Sarah! You've just made this girl's Christmas shopping a whole lot easier.

According Harper Collins Publisher Johnathan Burnham, Sarah's memoir is entitled Going Rogue: An American Life and is about 400 pages in length. In regards to the memoir itself, Burnham said:

"It's her words, her life, and it's all there in full and fascinating detail."

As the quote above states, the memoir was in her own words. Too bad the same can't be said for our president's books. Burnham also said:

"Governor Palin has been unbelievably conscientious and hands-on at every stage, investing herself deeply and passionately in this project."

This doesn't surprise me at all. Sarah is a hard-working woman who is not afraid of a little hands-on work.We have seen her independent streak and her love for God, family, sports, nature and country- She is truly an every woman.

Not only are we going to get to hear Sarah's side of the story, the true side, but we are also going to learn about her amazing life story. Like you, I cannot wait to hear all about it. Sarah has captivated the hearts and minds of so many of us. Daily, I find myself praying for her and her family. She has touched so many of us in so many different ways. Yesterday, my good friend, Adrienne Ross, who writes the blog: "Motivation: Truth," celebrated her birthday. In celebrating, she wrote a fantastic blog post about the gifts Sarah Palin has given to her. None of these gifts can be purchased in a department store; instead, they are gifts like friendship, love for country and love for life. I encourage you all to read Adrienne's birthday post (www.motivationtruth.com) because you will see a woman who has grown and become more because of the blessings Sarah has bestowed upon her.

Like Adrienne, I too feel blessed with all Sarah has given to me. I'm sure you all feel the same way. There is something very special about a person who has the knack for being able to bring people together. Like Adrienne mentions in her post, I too have met people and started doing things I never dreamed I would be doing prior to August 29, 2008. I never thought I would become politically active, start writing a blog, become a regular guest on #1 Alaska Talk Radio Show Host Eddie Burke's amazing show, as well as contemplate a career in politics. These are just some of the cool experiences that I have been given. I thank God everyday for allowing me to be surrounded by such amazing Sarah supporters, whom I'm proud to call my friends. This is all because of Sarah. In everything she does, Sarah has shown us that she truly does care about America.

With Sarah's book, comes a new chapter in her life, a chapter that will forever give us her side of the story. Just as I have been blessed to come to know so many amazing individuals, I will be blessed with the chance to read a book about a woman whom I am so proud to defend and call a role model! I hope to be given the chance to meet her face-to-face one day. If I am fortunate enough to be given this chance, I will tell her not only how much she inspires me to want to be a better person, but also how she inspires me to want to do great things. Thank you Sarah, and on behalf of all of us, "have a great night and a pleasant tomorrow."

Video: Fox News Interviews Me about Sarah Palin's Future

Many of you already saw this on television. I was present at Sarah Palin's farewell spech in Fairbanks, AK when it aired; therefore, I wasn't able to catch this first-hand. I heard from many of you that you saw the interview a number of times. Fox aired it for a couple days, yet I didn't catch it once! Now when I'm here at home, Fox News is always on, but for a month in Alaska, television was just not on the agenda.

From what I've been told, it seems that this was not the only clip shown from my interview with Dan Springer, but other parts of the interview were aired at different times. I wouldn't know, like I said, but I do know Springer had plenty of tape to choose from, as my interview there at Pioneer Park lasted around 10 minutes or so.

To set this up, what I'm addressing in the clip is his statement that recent polls show a decline in Sarah's favorability among Republicans and his question as to whether or not I was worried about that. I started by saying that less than two weeks prior, the polls showed that she was actually leading in favorability--well ahead of Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee--so I wasn't at all concerned.
