This is a reminder that Camille and my radio show returns tonight, Thursday, October 28, at 7pacific/10eastern. After a very exciting and highly-listened-to show a couple weeks ago when Bristol Palin was a guest, Camille and I are very excited to announce that Senate Candidate Joe Miller will be joining us to discuss his campaign. Both Camille and I have had the great honor of meeting Joe when we visited Alaska this past summer. He is great friend of Eddie Burke, a friend of our show, The People's Post.

Camille and I will also be joined by New York Times Best-Selling Author Stephen Mansfield, who is the co-author of the popular book The Faith and Values of Sarah Palin. You may remember seeing him on Sean Hannity's nightly program on the Fox News Channel recently discussing the book.

Finally, we will be joined by Erica Holloway, the spokesperson from the Speaker Education Project. This is a great organization that helps to educate individuals about the role of Speaker of the House.

"Hi, Rachelle. This is Sarah Palin" : A Personl Phone Call from Sarah Palin- A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

(I posted this post on my blog a little over a week ago, but wanted to share it here as well. Enjoy!!!)

When my good friend, Eddie Burke, was invited by the Tea Party Express to address the crowds as part of the group's across-the-country bus tour, I was so excited for him. Eddie is a great public speaker who doesn't pull any punches. I first had the honor and opportunity of getting to know Eddie when I was a frequent guest on his popular Alaska radio show. When he asked me if I could be a correspondent, covering Sarah Palin and national issues, I was so excited and jumped at the chance!!! I always tell everyone it was Eddie who gave me my first, big break. That is why is was an honor to serve under him as his press secretary when he decided to run for lieutenant governor of Alaska this past Spring. Although Eddie did not win the primary, he fought hard to the end, and I could not have been prouder of him. He truly is the voice of Alaska, and I know God has big plans for him. As the spokesperson for the newly formed Anchorage Tea Party, Eddie has made a huge impact and the popularity of this group is undeniable. Eddie's work on behalf of the tea party movement makes him a perfect fit as a speaker for the Tea Party Express. I am excited that Eddie and the Tea Party Express are coming to San Diego this Thursday. It will be fun to get to see him again and to introduce him to my family!!!

When Eddie told me he would be addressing the Tea Party Express crowd, I was so stoked for him. He also told me Sarah Palin, a fellow Alaskan and friend, would be addressing the crowd as well. I told him that he would have a blast and to keep me updated about his exciting experience. I jokingly told him that when he spoke with Sarah that I'd love to talk to her. Little did I know that this little joke would become a reality. While at work yesterday, I received a text from Eddie letting me know that Sarah may be calling me before her speech, I was speechless. This helps to illustrate just how much of a real deal and cool person Eddie Burke is!!! Those of my readers who have the pleasure of knowing him know exactly what I mean. Here is a guy who is about to address thousands of people, and he was thinking about his friend. This is just who Eddie Burke is!!!

When I saw my phone light up about 45 minutes after Eddie's text, I quietly slipped out of the room, as I was at work, and said "hello." I was so ecstatic to hear a familiar voice on the other end: "Hi, Rachelle. This is Sarah Palin." WOW, WOW, WOW!!! I mean, how cool is that??? You, regular readers of my blog, know how much I admire and look up to Sarah Palin. She is the reason why I began this blog and hold the political aspirations that I do. No words could express how much she inspires me. Although I have had the opportunity of meeting her before at her Reno book signing (I was covering the event for Eddie's show), getting this call from her made my day. It was TOTAL AWESOMENESS, as I like to say and definitely one of the BEST... DAYS... EVER!!! Sarah was so thoughtful and genuine. I will never forget her words of wisdom and the complement she gave me regarding my recent blog interview with her daughter, Bristol. I thanked her for all she has done and all she will continue to do in the name of common-sense conservatism. She is simply THE BEST and THE REAL DEAL, that's for sure!!!

I walked away from our conversation so proud of Sarah and so in awe of her character. Here is a woman, a modern-day political rock star who, just before she was to address a HUGE crowd, took the time to call this average girl- a conservative blogger, this Conservative Girl with a Voice. WOW!!! How ironic that I met her for the first time in Reno, Nevada, and she called me from Reno, Nevada.... I believe that everything happens for a reason, and God is using Sarah for His purpose. Her calling me yesterday illustrates just the kind of individual she is. Her genuine, kind and caring nature are three traits that all too often are forgotten in politics. We could use more individuals like Sarah Palin in the political arena!!! Thank you, Sarah, for making this conservative girl's day and for all you do for America!!!

Sept. 11 events in Alaska: Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Joe Miller

Yesterday was an eventful day throughout the United States, because on this day 9 years ago, America and it's people were changed forever. "Time heals all wounds" is the saying, but the wounds are still fresh for many of us, especially for those who lost loved ones on that fateful day. Alaskans, like the rest of America, spent the day honoring and remembering those sacrifices and reflecting on what it means to be an American in the Great State of Alaska.

The early part of this day found me wishing I was somewhere else. My email, facebook and Blackberry were buzzing with the two planned events of the day all of my friends were attending without me - the "Standing Strong For America" rally put on by the Conservative Patriots Group, the most active Tea Party group in the state of Alaska, and the Glen Beck event to be held in Anchorage later that evening. I spent the morning texting and calling friends while on a road trip to Fairbanks. I was over 400 miles away and would not be able to attend either event. Everyone was excited and as the morning wore into the afternoon, I found myself feeling more disconnected from everything that was going on. Then, I had a reality check.

In a parking lot in Fairbanks was a car, a PT Cruiser, with murals painted on all sides and the back. It was a private vehicle honoring Marines and on one side was the picture of a Marine saluting at a funeral. It hit me at that moment, on this day, that my desire to attend these events and be with friends had overshadowed the importance of the day itself. This is a day to hold sacred, to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, and to never forget. I will never forget and let us pray this nation will always remember. In that spirit, and in remembrance, I'd like to share these images and thoughts, with the help of Julie Gillette. Julie is the current president of the Valley Republican Women's Club, the club I was president of until late June of this year when I relocated. Julie has done a wonderful job as club president. She is a true patriot, a female veteran like myself, a mother and wife, and I am grateful for her help with this post and most of all, her friendship.

The "Standing Strong For America" Rally in Wasilla, Alaska

This rally was held at the Curtis D. Menard Memorial Sports Complex in Wasilla, Alaska. Sponsored by the Conservative Patriots Group (CPG), it was billed as a non-partisan event to remember and honor the significance of the day. Several groups were invited and attended the event. According to Julie, Alaska Senate Candidate Scott McAdams was invited but did not return calls to CPG and was not in attendance. The Valley Republican Women's Club (VRWC) was in attendance, however, and had a table with information which was manned by several board members to include Carol Doner, Julie Gillette, Carol Ryan, and Jill Frost (pictured below).



Various media outlets speculated there were about 300 in attendance, but according to Julie Gillette, the actual number was around 450. "There were 400 chairs set up and they were full and there were a few people standing in the back as well as the volunteers," said Julie. I'm not surprised considering the fact that conservative event attendance numbers are often downplayed by the mainstream media. The event began with a singing of the National Anthem by Adele Morgan, a very talented local artist (seen here with Julie's husband Glen).



Dick Stoffel led the Pledge of Allegience and then CPG President Jen Bettine kicked things off. Glen Beigel spoke briefly and then Wasilla Mayor Verne Rupright spoke of his military service and reminded everyone never to forget the events of this day in history. Joe Miller then took the stage. According to the Anchorage Daily News report (ADN), "Miller said the nation was attacked on Sept. 11 'because we're American.' He said the U.S. is a threat to its enemies because of its 'exceptionalism,' its freedoms and constitutional restraint of government.

'We as a nation have been activated. We've been activated through 9/11. We're now activated in a political sense,' Miller said. 'We see a movement across the United States right now that is moving this country in a direction that restores foundations, that restores constitutional principles and makes us proud to be Americans again.'"

Sarah Palin was then introduced as a surprise speaker, to the crowd's delight. "I thank you from the bottom of my heart for not just welcoming me in my hometown but for being who you are, true patriots holding on to time-tested truths. Knowing some basic principles that again the rest of America I think can learn from so many Alaskans who believe this -- those time-tested truths that are based on the government that governs least governs best," Palin said (according to the ADN report

The mood of those in attendance was described by Julie:

"There were definitely a few tears through the slide show and silence as people relived the day of the attacked. The bagpipes and the timing of playing them at the end of the slide show left many with wet eyes. I was hanging in there until he started playing. Adele Morgan’s beautiful rendition of the National Anthem was amazing. It also created some watery eyes. Mood was mostly positive and upbeat, especially when Joe Miller and Sarah Palin spoke."

The event lasted about 2 hours and then Julie described a special moment for herself and her husband Glenn:

"I had Glenn take a picture of us at the table before it got really busy. We were not initially going to try to get pictures with Sarah because she was swarmed with people. After the crowd died down, someone motioned to Carol Ryan that we should run over and get pictures before she left. Glenn has taken several pictures of me or our group with Sarah over the past 10 years. He finally got one for himself. We’re so glad to have had the opportunity because she was not able to stick around for the Glenn Beck Meet & Greet, she had a plane to catch."

Glenn Beck comes to Anchorage

Alaska conservatives and Glenn Beck supporters were anxious to see Beck in Anchorage. The doors to the Dena'ina Center were opened and thousands of people who were standing in a line that wrapped around the building, started to file in. Julie said she saw many people she knew, but also many new faces in the crowd of attendees. Kristan Cole, who tweeted earlier that she had been invited to sit with the family, was up front, along with Sarah's mother Sally Heath and other family members. Chuck Heath was not present, however. According to Sally, he was moose hunting! (it is the season here in Alaska).

There were also a few protesters. "They hid behind masks and some blamed George Bush for 9/11. As a retired Air Force member, that loses me everytime," said Julie. "There was a lady with a sign saying not to vote for Joe Miller but she was peaceful and we told her what makes this country great is she has the right to hold that sign." She also described the reactions of those waiting in line to get in to these protesters. "The people around me either ignored them or laughed but it was that laughter followed by the sentiment that we knew these guys would get more press than the actual event. There was a reporter in the room that we heard say to another reporter, 'Look at all these fanatics!'"


First Sarah introduced Glenn, they spoke together, and then Glenn spoke. The mood during the presentation was generally upbeat and acknowledging. "(There was)Cheering, heads nodding in agreement. Eagerness for information, quiet, you could hear a pin drop when he spoke of serious issues and applause to take the roof off when he spoke of smaller government and us taking care of our neighbors so the government doesn’t have to," said Julie.

Near the beginning of the event, as can be seen in one of the clips below, there was a heckler. It has been widely reported that conservative radio talk show host, and former Republican candidate for Lt. Governor, Eddie Burke assisted in "removing" this disruptive attendee. I spoke with Eddie earlier this evening and he gave me his version of the event:

"I was sitting in the front row one seat from the aisle, in front of the stage and Sarah as she was speaking. There were a lot of people coming forward and snapping pictures and then going back to their seats, so at first I didn't really pay much attention to this woman. She appeared to be in her 30's. I'm not sure exactly where she came from, but she stood there and then yelled out "You're a hippocrit!" directly to Sarah. Everyone started booing her. I was within arm's reach of her and the booing was so loud I couldn't hear what else she said, but she was still talking. I stood up and moved toward her, and to use one of Sarah's lines from one of her speeches, I said 'Quit making things up!' At that point, Sarah pointed to me and said 'Thanks Eddie. Eddie Burke, folks.' Security came and they escorted her out. I got a kick out of Sarah's comment about us all knowing each other here, and then Beck made the reply about it being like a high school gymnasium. Afterward, many people came up to me and shook my hand. Many of them asked me when I would be back on the radio and told me that they missed my show. Even more folks commented that they voted for me in the recent election. It was, I have to say, pretty humbling."

Joe Miller was also in the crowd and up front with Sarah and family. Per Julie, "Many times the crowd yelled out 'Joe Miller will get us back on the right path.' Sarah mentioned he was there and there was huge applause for Joe. She promoted him, but the crowd also yelled his name when discussing solutions to America’s problems."

I asked Julie what Glenn Beck's main message was:

"Faith – find a religion and be grounded with the Creator. Hope – we can turn things around but each one of us has the duty and responsibility to make that happen and it is hard work. Don’t sit on the couch channel surfing. Get out there and serve. That brought is to Charity, tithe, join a church and tithe. Serve your neighbors. We are the largest contributors as a Country, we give more than all other countries combined. Give so the people are not owned by the government. And, did I mention he really doesn’t like Woodrow Wilson?"

There was a meet and greet with Glenn Beck afterward. Julie and Eddie both described their experience. Per Julie,

"Each person got about 30 seconds with him and there were about 250 people. He was so exhausted. I was in the last group. Poor guy had flown all this distance, spoke all night brilliantly, then had to sign his name 250 times. He made sure he personally shook everyone’s hand. I was given two challenges, one to get a picture of him wearing a club shirt. Well, 30 seconds did not allow that so I decided instead to just give him the shirt for an autograph to be used for fundraising. So,the consolation prize was to have him in a picture with the shirt. The other challenge was to get a picture between my 2 favorite Glenns. That was a no brainer! I did tell him I was president (of the club) and that Sarah and her family were inspiring and that I appreciate him including her tonight."

For Eddie, it was also a brief encounter. "I'm a member of AA and so is he (Beck)... He said. "It saved my life." I responded, "Mine too."

Julie said for her, it was the best day ever. "I was surrounded by American patriots. It gives me hope for a bright future. I met and got pictures with my 2 favorite rock stars, Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck. Our Founding Fathers live in the people I was privileged to participate with today. It was an honor to be part of the CPG event and an honor to shake the hand of a man that is willing to take a stand."

Although I was not there, I am grateful for the friendships events like these have brought me, and they help me remember what being an American is all about. Faith, Family, Freedom. What more does one need?

My Phenomenal Alaska Trip: Part Four: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

Since getting back home to San Diego, the memories of my great trip to Alaska keep getting replayed in my mind. This blog has allowed me the opportunity to share with you, my readers, my passion for politics and writing. This blog also has helped me to record my memories in a diary of sorts. Yes, I can proudly say this blog has become my diary. Since my last entry, I have had the chance to say “goodbye” to many of the seniors at the high school I work at. While many of the kids in today’s society are labeled as “lazy,” I can tell you that for every “lazy” kid, there are five or more kids who work hard. I know it because I have witnessed it this year. I saw many ups and quite a few down this year at the school I work at, but more often than not, the kids I have gotten to know have persevered. A week ago, many of them graduated. I can safely say that, yes, this girl shed a lot of tears (I’m a sap for happy endings). The tears I shed were all happy tears because I know these kids, I mean young men and women, will embark on a world that is ever-changing. To the young men and women of the Class of 2010, I salute you, and I know you will make me proud.

While I have tons of memories about my time in Alaska, it is the memories that I shared with Tracey Porreca that I will remember the most. As the former President of the Valley Republican Women’s club, Tracey is no stranger to politics. She is an amazing woman, wife and mother who, like Sarah, cared about the direction her country was headed and decided to do something about it. Many of you know that I have blogged about Tracey before. I was delighted to finally meet Tracey face-to-face when I traveled to Alaska. Tracey was generous and kind enough to chauffeur us around Alaska during a large part of our trip. We went to a variety of cool places, including souvenir shops and yummy restaurants. Yes, she was even patient enough to go with us to Walmart and “hang out” while my sister and I picked up everything we needed when we first arrived in Alaska. I don’t think she was aware of just how much my sister and I love Walmart- wink, wink. If I had to name my favorite part of my time with Tracey, I would have to say it was our trip to the Matanuska Glacier, about 2 miles North of Wasilla. The drive in itself was gorgeous, and we couldn’t ask for a better day to witness Alaska in all its beauty. It was so much fun to hike to the glacier. I especially enjoyed the “crunch, crunch” sounds from our shoes hitting the ice. And the glacier itself- ahhhh… what can I say, other than it was truly breathtaking and awe inspiring.

I have had the pleasure of getting to know so many amazing people via Twitter and Facebook. One such person I have had the joy of befriending is a girl about my age named Amanda. I got to know Amanda from Twitter because she was a fan of my blog, and we immediately hit it off with our love for pop culture and shopping. It was cool to learn that her dad is Alaska Lieutenant Governor Craig Campbell, who is a pretty cool guy. Amanda was nice enough to set up a lunch date with her, her dad and her wonderful his mom, Anne Marie at Sullivan’s Steak House in downtown Anchorage. Remember how I blog in the last entry that my campaign partner in crime, Camille Friend, was going to meet up with us in Alaska? Well, she arrived in Alaska a couple days before our scheduled lunch, so she was able to attend along with Krisha, Kristina and me. We had a wonderful lunch with the Campbells. Amanda and her parents are the most kind, generous people, and we all had a great time. As a pop culture, political-loving girl, I will take any opportunity I can to talk about these areas. Lt. Gov. Campbell gave me some great insight and awesome advice that I will take with me as I continue down my political journey. When Eddie Burke asked me to help out with his campaign for lieutenant governor, I knew Eddie was running for the right reasons. Like Craig, Eddie is a conservative who will put Alaskans interests above his own. Please visit Eddie’s campaign website and make a donation. His campaign is truly a grassroots effort. I hope each and every one of my readers will visit and donate $5 to the conservative cause. Alaska is so lucky to have a lieutenant governor who truly cares for the people of his state. He truly is the REAL DEAL! He may have decided against running for lieutenant governor, but I know God has big plans for him.

As my phenomenal trip began to wind down to a close, it was fun to end my trip on a high note. How else would you want to spend your final day in Alaska other than by spending the day participating in a local Alaskan parade? Krisha, Camille, Kristina and I had the pleasure of walking with Eddie Burke and some members of his amazing family in the Colony Days Parade in Palmer, AK. It was so much fun getting out and talking to people. Eddie had a great time talking to the people and listening to their concerns. Eddie really has a way with people, and people really seem to enjoy the ideas he has on how help Alaska. You wouldn’t believe how many people I repeatedly said how grateful they were to Eddie for running and spreading the common sense conservative message. I also had the chance to see Sarah’s mom, Sally, again while walking down the parade route. I went over, said “hello” and gave her a great, big hug. We chatted with her and another great woman, Carol Ryan, for a little bit before heading back out to wrap up the parade route.

Krisha and my flight was not until later that evening, so before we said goodbye to Eddie and his family, Eddie and his awesome wife, Linda, treated us to lunch. The Burke family did so much for us during our stay in Alaska, and they have become “family” to Krisha and me. Whether or not you agree with Eddie politically, you have to at least admit that he and his family are some of the nicest people that you will ever meet. Right now, I call him a great friend, but I hope very soon to be calling him Lieutenant Governor Burke. You can help this happen by donating to his campaign today!!!

After saying goodbye to Eddie and his family, we stopped by Chuck and Sally’s (Sarah’s parents) house to say goodbye. I know many of you have seen their house on TV during the election, but that does not give it the justice it deserves. Their house has to be one of the coolest houses I have ever been to, and I could sense just how much fun the grandkids must have when they come over. It is like a museum- scratch that. It is even cooler than a museum, and it doesn't hurt that they have the cutest puppy you will ever lay your eyes upon. Now, the first time I visited them during my stay, Chuck was nice enough to give us an amazing tour. As he showed us around, he took the time to show us the various artifacts he and the family had collected over the years. He also showed a lot of cool family photos and maps of different parts of Alaska that he and the family had been lucky enough to visit. As I listened to him tell us about his travels and the different things he had collected, I could see why he was such an awesome science teacher, and I made the point to tell him this. It was a privilege to get to spend time with both him and Sally. They are truly great people. It makes me sick whenever I hear the media attack Sarah and her family. How dare anyone personally attack such a great group of people? How dare anyone attack a group of people who they have not taken the time to get to know? I must say, that, after visiting and spending time with members of Sarah’s family, my time spent with them makes me want to stick up for Sarah and her family even more. These are great people, real people who value honesty and integrity- two traits that those who attack them could learn a thing or two about. I even got a keepsake memento from the Heaths that took back with me to San Diego, and I will cherish it forever. What great people!!! In fact, all of those I met while in Alaska were great people. I believe many of us in the lower 48 could learn a thing or two from Alaskans. There is just something so refreshing and so authentic about our neighbors to the North.

Thank you, Alaska, and thank you, God, for giving this Conservative Girl with a Voice an unforgettable trip to the Last Frontier, and for leaving me wanting more!!!

My Phenomenal Alaska Trip: Part One: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

Many of my regular readers may be wondering why I have not been blogging in recent days. For the past year, I have been planning a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Alaska, and I am very excited to write that I am typing this post from a hotel room in beautiful Anchorage, Alaska. My sister, Krisha, and Kristina Lazzaro, a fellow organizer for the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee, and I have had an amazing trip so far. We have been going non-stop since arriving in town. My good friend Eddie Burke, who's running for Alaska's lieutenant governor, and his amazing wife, Linda, were there to meet us at the airport, which was so sweet of them. After meeting us, they took us to the trendy Anchorage restaurant The Brewhouse where I had a great halibut dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who is looking to experience true, Alaskan flair.

There are so many memories that I have already made, and I cannot wait to experience more great sights. We have gotten together with so many great people and had a lot of fun and, oh yes, crazy experiences. Everything from spending the day going to the local flea market, souvenir shopping and visiting the world's largest chocolate fountain with great friend Tracey Porrecca to hanging out with Alaska State House Candidate Jason Cline on his birthday. The people here are real people, and I could totally see myself living here.

One of my favorite days so far was spent attending some Memorial Day Veteran events. I have been privileged to assist Eddie Burke in his campaign for lieutenant governor. As the only veteran in the race for lieutenant governor, Eddie knows firsthand what our military men and women experience when they leave their homes and families in order to keep us safe. The veteran events were very special and personal to him for several reasons. Our military men and women need to be thanked everyday, not just a couple of times a year. The events I attended yesterday in Anchorage and the valley reiterated just how important it is that we support our military and do everything in our power to support them. I had the privilege of speaking to many members in the crowd as well as some of the speakers, including Congressman Don Young, Senator Mark Begich, Senator Lisa Murkowski, as well as a couple other state leaders. All of these individuals were very friendly and I enjoyed speaking with them. I have photos that I will be posting soon.

I also finally got the chance to meet Rishi. Many of you may know Rishi as my favorite liberal. Politics aside, he is a pretty cool and let's just say unique guy, even if he likes to tease me and call me a "sorority girl" - Ha ha. That is not the only liberal I had the chance to meet. Right after I wrapped up talking to Senator Lisa Murkowski, I was approached by blogger Linda Kellen-Biegal. You may all know her as "Celtic Diva." At first, I did not recognize her, but she knew exactly who I was and even pronounced my name right. I think she was a little shocked that I reached out my hand to shake hers, but she agreed. Let's just say we had an interesting, yet very civil conversation. I even asked to have my photo taken with her, and she agreed. Our final Memorial Day event out in the Valley was a very memorable stop for me. As my sister took photographs of the event, Eddie introduced me to another Lieutenant Governor Candidate, a guy we palinistas all know very well: Jay Ramras. I also saw the other candidate in the running, Mead Treadwell, in attendance. I also got the chance to speak with Joe Miller, who is running for the Senate against Lisa Murkowski. He and his wife, Kathleen are great people. This was a great event, and I can definitely see why so many individuals love living in the great state of Alaska!

I have been to quite a few beautiful places, but after arriving at my latest stop in Wasilla, I do not think there is a state that is more beautiful than Alaska the last frontier. There is just something very special about its majestic beauty that seems to continually call my name. After staying in the Anchorage for the past four days, my sister, Kristina Lazzaro and I just arrived at a beautiful, undisclosed part of Wasilla. The place we are staying at is phenomenal and top notch. Not only is this place peaceful, but the people are so friendly and welcoming. I wrote this portion of my blog post while sitting outside in daylight, and it was just after 12 a.m. Since it does not get truly dark for another hour or so, I thought I would come down and sit by the lake and continue this blog post, which I am finally posting today. As I listen to the sounds of the birds and the jumping of the fish, I am reminded just how amazingly good God has been to me. I prayed long and hard about this trip, and I knew that if God wanted me to travel to Alaska, he would open the door. I have already experienced so many great and wonderful memories, and I know I have many more great memories to come. Eddie and Linda Burke and their amazing family (great friends), Tracey Porreca (our wonderful friend, Alaskan mom and tour guide), J and Bev Perdew (who took us on an amazing drive around Palmer and Wasilla), Jason Cline and Danny McDonald (our crazy, fun guys) have been so welcoming, and it has been so fun to experience their Alaska. It was also real special to go over to Chuck and Sally Heath's house last night for desert and coffee. Chuck is such a cool guy and even gave us the whole tour of the house. It is so amazing and has an awesome museum feel to it. It is because of all of these individuals that I have met the wonderful people I mentioned above. It is true when you hear how kind and welcoming the people of Alaska are. They are the real deal. I am signing off for now because Kristina, Krisha and I are getting ready to attend Eddie Burke's daughter, Ericka"s, wedding today in Anchorage. Stay tuned because I will be back again soon to blog and post lots of photos. And, oh by the way, for those of you who keep asking: Yes, I have seen Joe McGinniss' house, and I must write that Todd did a pretty good damn job constructing that fence!!! Way to go, Todd!!!

-Finally,Danny Stroud will be joining us. Danny is running in Colorado for the State House. It will be fun to talk with him about his candidacy and the tea-party movement.

Feminists: Anti-Conservative Women!!! A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

I am sure you are aware that, over the weekend, D-List Actress Kathy Griffin made some very vulgar comments about Sarah Palin, including one comment in which she said Sarah performed a sex act on John McCain when they first met. I don't know what she considers comedy, but it is VERY obvious to me that a joke like that is NEVER funny no matter who says it. Regular readers of my blog are well aware that I am not afraid to call it like I see it. My regular readers also know that I am not afraid to call individuals and groups out when they DON'T act accordingly. It seems to me that Kathy Griffin is a lost cause. While I am angered at the comments she made and continues to make at Sarah's expense, it is not surprising seeing that she is an attention-seeking-walking disaster whose only claim to fame seems to be as Levi Johnston's sad excuse for a date.

Again, I find myself asking: "Where are the NOW women?" "Where are the other feminist groups?" After all, these groups seem to preach female empowerment and equal rights, yet fail to act when one of their own sex is attacked. This is the reason why I strongly believe these so-called feminists are the most cowardly, hypocritical individuals on the face of the earth. Have they ever caused me to view them differently? NO! I am sick and tired of feminist groups picking and choosing whom they will defend. I was a guest on Eddie Burke's show yesterday. As we were discussing this issue, Eddie brought up a great point in that if Michelle Obama or Hillary Clinton were the individuals being attacked, the press would hear from these groups in a heartbeat. While it is clear that they would immediately jump to Michelle and Hillary's defense, once again, they stand silent while Sarah is blatantly and unfairly attacked. Shame on them for not doing what so many of us do on a daily basis. When it comes to defending one of my fellow women, I see no color; I see no party. I simply see a fellow woman who is being treated unfairly and unjustly. This is a common sense response that the NOW women seem to ignore, or are just simply too blind to see.

Yet again, we see the difference between the treatment conservative women and liberal women receive. These feminazis are too proud and afraid- yes afraid- to do the right thing. While they are too wrapped up in their own feminist bubble to realize their actions, I am not. There are many individuals like me out there who are not afraid to call these groups out. The more I read and hear about NOW and others who describe themselves as "feminists," the more I question just how pro-women they really are. In the end, it is clear that feminist groups want nothing to do with empowering women, and everything to with pushing their own agenda and only supporting women who represent this agenda. Their motto seems to have become: "Stand with us or else- others WILL attack you." Yep, just another day in the life of so-called women's rights groups.

AMAZING Guests Scheduled for Tomorrow Night's Radio Show!!! A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

Camille Friend, and I have a great group of guests lined up for Thursday Night's show (3/4/2010). Besides having a ton of fun and informing you of what's going on in our country, we will be talking to a variety of guests who define what makes America the great country it is.

First up is Anita MonCrief. Many of you may be familiar with Anita. As a former employee of ACORN and ACORN whistle blower, she witnessed firsthand the fraud that occurred in this organization, and she decided to take a stand and do something about it. She also addressed the CPAC Convention, and she is going to tell us all about it. It should be great interview.

After Anita, we will be talking to friend of the show and Alaska State House Candidate Jason Cline about his experience at CPAC. You may remember that Jason was supposed to talk about his experience on last week's show, but because of technical problems, he did not have a chance too. We will also get an update on what's happening with Jason's campaign.

Finally, Camille and I will be joined by #1 Alaska Talk Radio Host Eddie Burke to interview Tito Munoz. You may remember him as "Tito the Builder" of the 2008 Presidential Campaign. Join Me on My Radio Show this THURSDAY Night! A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

Many of you may already be aware of the big news that I am about to share with all of you. I joined Team Sarah shortly after Sarah was announced John McCain's running mate. Team Sarah is a great community in which to interact with fellow Sarah supporters. When I joined Team Sarah, I had no idea of how politically involved I would become in the months to follow. As the San Diego Regional Organizer for the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee, I have had a blast educating others around my community and online about Sarah and her message of common sense conservatism. I have gotten to know so many wonderful people because of Team Sarah and 2012 Draft Sarah. I have also gotten to know so many amazing Alaskans who have become great friends. Sarah is blessed to live in a state with so many great salt-of-the-earth people.

Many of you know that Team Sarah has an weekly online radio show entitled Join Team Sarah on Blog Talk Radio. The creator of the show, Martha Cano, recently asked me if I would like to host a show once a month. I told her that I would be honored to be a host and thanked her for believing in me. I had a blast hosting the show a couple weeks ago, and I will be hosting the show tomorrow night. Just this week, Martha asked me if I would like to be the new main host for the show, and I accepted. I am honored that she has chosen to put this show in my hands, and I hope I can make her and all of you proud. The show is going to be going through a re-vamping of sorts, and I believe this fresh start will be a good thing. Like Sarah, I have an independent streak, and I always tend to take my own path, listening to God along the way. I hope you will all join me on what should be an exciting journey. I am honored to have Camille Friend who runs the blog The Design Conservative on board as my co-host. Camille is a great woman who supports Sarah and is a great conservative. You may heard her on Pro-Sarah Radio where she is a frequent guest. Camille and I want this show to become a platform of support for Sarah. We also want this show to be a place where conservatives and independents alike can flock to to get the latest political news. I am excited that hosting this radio show will give me the opportunity to put my college degrees in Journalism and English to work spreading the word about how great Sarah is!!!

Finally, we will be chatting with Jason Cline, who is running for the Alaska State House in Anchorage. Like Camille and myself, Jason is a young Republican who is getting actively involved in the political process. You may remember Jason because he was on the show last month. Jason just got back from attending CPAC, so he is going to come on to tell us all about his amazing experience. Camille and I will also get an update on how his campaign is moving along. Eddie Burke: Critics and Family Guy think Palins are Hillbillies

Eddie Burke is the man. He calls it like he sees it. He's not worrying about who will stroke him for what he has to say or fretting the vitriol that liberals will throw his way. He stands up for what he believes.

In case you don't know, Eddie hosts the #1 radio talk show in Alaska, heard on www.kbyr.com, where he discusses all things Alaska and all things conservative. He is also a friend of the Palins and does a good job standing by them and calling out the haters.

I had the honor of meeting Eddie first in Alaska this past summer, and he's been a friend ever since. He's had me on his show many times, the most recent being last week to discuss the tasteless "Family Guy" episode, which showed disrespect to Trig Palin and the Palin family.

Eddie wrote an op-ed this week for Red County about that same "Family Guy" show. Did I say he's the man? He's the man! He rendered what can easily be termed both a smackdown and an analysis of what's behind Palin Derangement Syndrome, as evidenced by the television "joke" and other heartless attacks.

Eddie wrote:

Making fun of Sarah Palin's last born child, Trig, is repulsive! Let's think about it. If you had a Down-Syndrome Child, and you were attending a public sporting event, would anyone in his or her right mind publicly make fun of your child? No way! Then why would a national TV show make fun of this child?

Would they yell out jokes about your oldest teenage daughter? No! Would the broadcaster ask if your daughter wanted to have sex with one of the players? No! Has a Vice-Presidential Candidate's children ever been made fun of and mocked like Sarah Palins have? The answer remains the same: No!

Is it right that a scumbag radio Host, Dan Fagan, in Anchorage would say that Track Palin graduating from Army boot camp is "No big deal?” I don't know about you, but every person raising his or her hand in a time of war IS a big deal to me.

If you mildly agree with what I've written, then, you must be asking yourself, what in the world is going on here? Why are Sarah Palin's children treated differently?

What a good question. If you've asked yourself this question before, good for you. If you never have, ask yourself why not? Now answer honestly.

Eddie does ask the question--and he answers it. It's a sad conclusion he comes to, but I believe he speaks the truth, which is actually what makes it so sad.

Here is the answer: Sarah and Todd Palin are nothing more than a bunch of Hillbillies from Alaska with a Down-Syndrome child. Yes, I know-your drink just went down the wrong pipe. Secondly, if you're supportive of Sarah's policies then you are a dumb hillbilly too. This is what the "left" and most in the media think about the Palins AND us.

You see, people make fun of individuals because they think they deserve it, or some make fun of those who are weak and cannot defend themselves. Also, people are often made fun of because it's the "cool" thing to do. But when has it ever been popular to make fun of a mother's Down-Syndrome child? Never!

As a small radio "host" I look for material to air and think about how I might address a certain subject. Sometimes I might consult with my producer and get his thoughts too. But my show is unscripted and spontaneous, which leaves me open to say the wrong thing or wish I had said something differently.

Family Guy is a large production with many staff members; it's big time! You may be wondering what point I'm trying to make. They discussed the skit. There is a script. There was opportunity to change their mind. Many people were engaged about the material and how it would be said. It was premeditated. After all that, they still decided it was okay to run down a mother's baby who will never understand or be able to defend what they said about Trig. They just did not care. Getting the laugh justified the means.

Why would they do this? Why is this child a target? Why does this continue? The liberal blogs out there say it's because Sarah has brought "Trig out on stage." She has "exploited Trig." "Sarah has used Trig as a "political prop." Are you kidding me? Because a mother is proud of her child and refuses to hide him, they say she's using him?

Lets flip the coin and say Sarah never was public with Trig? Then, the "left" would say Sarah is hiding Trig, and she must be ashamed of him.

Eddie hit the nail on the head. Regarding Governor Palin, it's a no-win situation with some people--and if you've been anywhere on this planet in the last two years, you know that's true. If the haters weren't saying she's exploiting Trig, they'd be saying she's hiding him. She's doing neither. She's his mom. He's her son. She's simply loving him--just like you love those closest to you.

So, Eddie, what does this come down to?

I was hoping to close this op-ed with some profound answer or a solution to this disgusting situation, but unfortunately there is not much to be said about liberals' behavior and their hypocrisy. Here is one thought that I think is true: The left cannot stand that Sarah is Pro-Life. They are mad that she did not abort Trig; furthermore, they are mad that Sarah and Todd are so proud of Trig and that God chose them to share this child with the world.

Liberals and many in the media cannot stand the fact that millions of us all across this country find a connection with Todd and Sarah Palin. These socialists think the Palins are stupid, ignorant people from some swamp behind a beer brewery. There is a huge hypocrisy and double standard when it comes to the Palins as Fox News Anchor, Greta Van Susteren recently wrote about here.

Keep up the fight, my friends! Never quit and always push back. The enemy appears to be strong, but they are weak at the core. As Sarah Palin has said, "This battle is more important than me." It is about a deep set of differences between what our Founders have written and what these progressives want America to become. Americans have always fought and died for freedom for others, but there will be a time when we must fight for our own freedom! Are you ready?

Hard Hitting and Right On!!! A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

I want to take a moment to thank #1 Alaska Talk Radio Host Eddie Burke for having me on his show yesterday. Eddie is a great host who is not afraid to tell it like it is, which is so refreshing in the this age of Obama. For those of you who missed my conversation with Eddie, we discussed the future of the tea party. I also had the opportunity to call out the Anchorage Daily News for its misreporting. The ADN incorrectly reported that Sarah was not in attendance at the start of the Iron Dog, which was clearly not the case. Directly after I got off the air with Eddie, I noticed that the ADN had corrected its error. It's a bout time a news source retracts bogus information. While this may seem like a trivial piece of information, it is yet another example of just how out of touch the msm is with the people.

I wanted to take the time today to let you all know that Eddie recently wrote an op-ed for Red County in which he discusses the Family Guy controversy. Making fun of Sarah Palin's last born child, Trig, is repulsive! Let's think about it. If you had a Down-Syndrome Child, and you were attending a public sporting event, would anyone in his or her right mind publicly make fun of your child? No way! Then why would a national TV show make fun of this child?

Catch Me on the Radio TODAY!!! A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

I just wanted to post a short post to let you all know that I will be a guest TODAY, Monday, on #1 Alaska Eddie Burke's Talk Radio Show at around 5p.m.PST/8p.m.EST. Over the weekend, I attended a tea party in my home state of California, and I will be joining Eddie to discuss the tea party movement. I encourage you all to listen and call in too if you would like. Eddie's show airs Monday-Friday from 5-7p.m.PST/8-10p.m.EST on Smart Radio 700 KBYR in Alaska. It was a great day, and I was happy the rain did not dampen the spirits of the many, many patriotic Americans in attendance. As the San Diego Regional Organizer for the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee, I set up a table and had had the chance to speak with many individuals about Sarah and her common sense conservative values. Contrary to popular belief, there are many individuals here in California who adore Sarah and all she stands for.

My Big Announcement!!! A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

Many of you may already be aware of the big news that I am about to share with all of you. I joined Team Sarah shortly after Sarah was announced John McCain's running mate. Team Sarah is a great community in which to interact with fellow Sarah supporters. When I joined Team Sarah, I had no idea of how politically involved I would become in the months to follow. As the San Diego Regional Organizer for the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee, I have had a blast educating others around my community and online about Sarah and her message of common sense conservatism. I have gotten to know so many wonderful people because of Team Sarah and 2012 Draft Sarah. I have also gotten to know so many amazing Alaskans who have become great friends. Sarah is blessed to live in a state with so many great salt-of-the-earth people.

Team Sarah has an weekly online radio show entitled Join Team Sarah on Blog Talk Radio. The creator of the show, Martha Cano, recently asked me if I would like to host a show once a month. I told her that I would be honored to be a host and thanked her for believing in me. I also want to thank Jackie, over at Team Sarah too. Like Sarah, I believe God has a plan for my life. I will continue to listen to him as he leads me down the right path. I firmly believe in "plowing through" an open door when the He opens it. I am excited that hosting this radio show will give me the opportunity to put my college degrees in Journalism and English to work spreading the word about how great Sarah is!!!

I am pleased to announce that I have some great guests lined up for tomorrow's show. First up is Eddie Burke, the #1 Alaska Talk Radio Host. (Eddie's show airs M-F from 5-7 PST on 700 KBYR. Listen online at www.kbyr.com.) The cool thing about this is that Eddie is going to be coming to be interviewed live during his show. This is great because his listeners and my listeners will get to hear the interview. Eddie is a great friend of mine, Sarah Palin and her awesome family. Second on the lineup is Jason Cline, who is running for the Alaska State Senate in Anchorage. Like me, Jason is a young Republican who is getting actively involved in the political process. I cannot wait to speak to him about his candidacy and being a young Republican. Finally, Tracey Porreca, a Team Sarah member and President of the Valley Republican Women's Club in Wasilla will join me. Tracey and I will discuss her club and the importance of women getting involved in the political process. Jason, Tracey and I will also talk about Sarah's Tea Party Convention speech and the whole Tea Party movement in general.
