Sarah Palin: America's Duct Tape

I am sure over the next few days there will be far more eloquent and talented authors than myself who will be able to articulate the gargantuan of a canyon our president continues to carve in the middle of America's heartland. What started as a crack has turned into a gorge of division that our nation has not experienced in a long time. Sometimes, a shake up is necessary....this however, is a shakedown.

I was horrified...yes, an appropriate word...to watch today as our president stood shoulder to shoulder with Mexican president Felipe Calderon and effectively became a turncoat against a part of our Union. When did it become acceptable for a president of the United States of America to join another country in tearing down and degrading one of our own member states? It just feels treasonous to me.

It's been debated whether any of the critics of the Arizona immigration law SB1070 have even read it in full. It's only fifteen pages...far less than the two thousand plus of the health reform bill. Why don't some of our elected officials and their paid staff take a minute between tee times and extramarital affairs to find out what the heck is going on in America? I'd love to see a reality show where the citizens of Arizona take a DC hack to the field and let him or her experience the violence and fear of living beneath a reign of terror due to illegal invasions. This is not about preventing some poor Mexicans from working on farms...this is about national security with a gaping border allowing drug cartels and terrorists from other countries free access. Seriously, what is wrong with our president?!

When Governor Palin said, “Politically, if I die, I die,” it was with the understanding that even if she never ran for an office again, it wasn't going to stop her from standing up on her soapbox, wherever it might be stationed. I'm thankful for that and how she has stood up for the state of Arizona and their right to protect themselves, with no apology. She isn't alone. There are many in the same fight for our country, and she is quick to acknowledge them. One thing though that has been distinct in Governor Palin's approach is how she has been a unifier among Americans from all walks of life.

Understand that while Sarah Palin has never backed down from pointing out the wrongs being done by President Obama and his administration, she has also never retreated from associations many, even in her own party, see as pariahs. Folks that are often categorized as rednecks, teabaggers, and Bible thumpers will find a friend in Governor Palin because she sees them as Americans just like any others, not freaks that liberals think necessary to make fun of and rant against. Not stopping there, she has strong supporters across all racial, religious, and social lines...Americans are Americans, and they all deserve Constitutional respect in her eyes.

This is a truth that the left has not figured out. Instead they constantly moan and ask, “Why does anyone listen to her?” Or my all time favorite, “Her kids are just being used as props.” Listen up! As a mother of four, I can tell you it is far easier to leave the kids at home. Far. Easier. Why does she do it? The same reason I drag mine around...I love them, and I want them to experience things they may never get another chance to do.

Anyway, lest even one politician think that these apparently delusional Palin supporters I speak of are far and few between, do allow me to point out that they make up workers from every marketplace and station in life you can name....from Wal-mart cashier to successful business owner to stay at home mom...and they all have votes. They are many. You are few. Don't say you didn't know. Just told ya. Right here.

According to an online dictionary, “Conflation occurs when the identities of two or more individuals, concepts, or places, sharing some characteristics of one another, become confused until there seems to be only a single identity — the differences appear to become lost.” In my opinion, conflation has occurred with the identity of President Obama. He is synonymous with a chisel and hammer, dividing and separating our country into sides so diametrically opposed to one another that it seems nearly impossible to overcome.

But what I can hold onto is that conflation has also occurred with the identity of Governor Palin. She has become synonymous with open arms, the heart of a giant, and the courage to be the mama grizzly that says to us, “Wait a sec, let me eat this intruder, and then we'll move along.” Sarah Palin is not anti-immigrant, anti-people different than herself, or even anti-vegan. What she does promote is national security, common sense, and freedom based on our Constitution. What can possibly be wrong with those things?

I've decided I won't fear President Obama's continual digging at our nation's unity because I will be shovel ready come election time, and as Governor Palin reminds us, “...we know that there is nothing wrong with America, that together we can't fix as Americans.”

Palin has endorsed and supported candidates in numerous races for various offices nationwide, the most recent being Susana Martinez, for Governor of New Mexico, Carly Fiorina for Senator of California, and Rand Paul who yesterday won the Kentucky primary for that state's US Senate Seat. Gov. Palin has also come to the aid of various causes such as supporting Arizona's law to secure that state's border, disaster relief for Nashville's flood, and the Highland Park Girls Basketball Team.

This is serious red meat Sarah is dishing out. Solid answers to the most pressing questions of our time. Here is Sarah Palin showing not only her toughness, but her belief in American Exceptionalism.

Sarah also talks about her own career as she dealt with corruption, especially within the Alaska Republican Party, as well as her hard core stance on the oil companies and environmental responsibility.

Why aren’t we hearing this sort of candor and enthusiasm, and these sort of solutions from the GOP show ponies who think it’s "their turn" in 2012?

Huffington Post Hits Sarah Palin Over the Head With a Dead Body

Huffington Post writer "Shannyn Moore apparently thinks it's appropriate to dig up the corpse of [former Alaska Governor] Wally Hickel and bash Sarah Palin over the head with it," according to God, Guts and Sarah Palin in a post that was also published on Conservatives4Palin. Moore accuses Palin of "crashing the funeral" and goes on to use a disagreement between Hickel and Palin to form the basis of her irreverent hit piece. Arianna Huffington who so hypocritically criticized Roger Ailes by telling him that hate mongering stuff on her website is "not approved" must have approved of Shannyn Moore's article since it appeared on The Huffington Post yesterday.

This is the same Huffington who has allowed the smearing of Palin on her website since August 2008. Yet she attacked Glenn Beck for forcing Van Jones out of office barely two months after the Alaska bloggers and frivolous ethics complaint filers were prominently played up on her website in the days leading up to Palin's resignation as governor of Alaska. In fact, she used many of the same arguments that Palin supporters used to explain her resignation. What was good for the goose surely was not good for the gander, especially when working within intellectually dishonest confines.

This isn't the first time Shannyn Moore has been in hot water for posting hate on Huffington Post. She was singled out by Palin's attorney Thomas Van Flein for appearing on MSNBC and talking about allegations of a non-existent federal indictment which she was speculating could have been the reason for Palin's resignation. Moore, not hiding the fact that she was rooting on this rumor to be true, also wrote this on the Huffington Post at that time:

For weeks the rumors of a criminal investigation against the governor have been brewing. They are rumors, but are swirling fresh again with Palin's resignation. I'm holding my breath for the other "Naughty Monkey" to drop. Another theory for the resignation is that the Palins would have to disclose the book deal as well as other financial details as governor.

Moore is connected with a group of Alaska bloggers who started smearing Sarah Palin when Celtic Diva was named the official Alaska DNC blogger. During the 2008 presidential campaign, almost all of the misinformation about Governor Palin came from Alaska, partly from local Democrats like Kim Elton (of Troopergate fame) and from “progressive” bloggers.

Jeanne Devon championed the work of the Wasilla Project, which was a documentary series being produced by an independent film maker for the sole purpose of smearing Sarah Palin. The project sought out Wasilla's biggest malcontents and paraded them out to speak about baseless claims against Sarah Palin on vidoes posted on YouTube. All the smears put forth by the Wasilla Project were eventually debunked despite causing damage to Palin's reputation. This is the group responsible for the rape kit rumors.

Shannyn Moore connects the whole group with the Wasilla Project in her blog Sarah Palin Blames Bloggers:

Feeling like an endangered species, Alaska progressives are tight. The Alaska Bloggers are tighter. Right after the nomination of Sarah Palin for VP, Wasilla blogger, musician, professor, and all around renaissance man, Phil Munger, threw a party at his home-the first of many. Secrecies were sworn; we were not alone in front of our computers-we had each other; Mudflats, Immoral Minority,
Writing Raven, Celtic Diva, Progressive Alaska, Alaska Report, What Do I Know, and myself, Just a Girl From Homer. Documentary crews interviewed us and protected anonymous identities at the time.

Documentary crews? There was only one documentary crew covering Sarah Palin during the campaign and that was The Wasilla Project. The below is quoted from The Wasilla Project website which is no longer online:

We've been featured on some major alternative blogs: Huffington Post, Alternet, Crooks and Liars, Wreck and Salvage among others. And we've also featured on blogs from our good friends in Alaska: Mudflats, Progressive Alaska, Shannyn Moore. Some highlights for us during the project were being on the front page of Huffington Post once and on the front page of Salon for 3 days.

And we had kind of creepy coverage in the (Anchorage) Daily News.

Ah, but the real hate mongering of today is happening in The Huffington Post where the leftovers of the Palin smear campaign have gone to continue their evil work.

Internet sleuth Amanda Carpenter reported that left-wing blogs are gleefully attacking Bristol and Sarah Palin. "If you go to a site like the Huffington Post," Carpenter said, "they smear Bristol Palin to make a political point about her mother. They use her as a prop. Arianna Huffington permits this kind of speech to take place on her web site, she wants people on there commenting." The Factor expressed disgust at the Huffington Post and its proprietress. "Arianna Huffington is the darling of the mainstream media, but she promotes and revels in hateful comments. Huffington can make a ton of money trafficking in this kind of stuff, and it says we are just not an honest country any longer."

The Huffington Post hypocrisy is glaringly obvious considering its connections with the Alaska bloggers, the group which is also linked to the frivolous ethics complaints, whether they filed them or cheerled them on their blogs. These "supposedly independent" Alaskans who filed these ethics complaints provided the fodder that eventually ground the Alaskan state government to a hault. Then they turned around and claimed Palin was a quitter or that she was involved in some wrong doing to explain her resignation. They did all of this to get rid of Palin. So when she finally did resign, what did the hypocrites do? They complained about her resigning. Now they're whining because she's big time nationally and free to make and raise a log of money. 

Which brings me back to the damned if you, damned if you don't scenario that hypocrites like Huffington and her minions create so they leave open both arguments eliminating the need for facts. Uffda explains this tactic best:

Wow. How hateful. I can totally see why Shannyn felt the need to use Hickel's funeral to further her own political agenda.

Remember when Sarah sent out a tweet for Hickel and Moore's partner-in-obsession Geoffrey Dunn was like, "What, that's it? Just a tweet?"

Trust me, if Sarah had not attended or had said nothing at all about Hickel yesterday, Shannyn would be screaming, "See how horrible she is! An icon, a founding father of Alaska died and she doesn't care! She's a horrible witch!"

Remember the name Geoffrey Dunn, another Huffington Post hate mongerer. You will be seeing it a lot when fair minded people debunk all of his lies about The Lies of Sarah Palin when it is released.

Ah, they stab it with their steely knives, but they just can't kill the beast!

What Last Night's Results Tell Us: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

What do last night's poll results tell us? As a conservative blogger, there are three fascinating points that I take away from last night's results:

1) A Sarah Palin Endorsement is Gold: When Sarah endorsed Rand Paul in Kentucky, over the other candidates, many were left speechless. I know several individuals who said Rand Paul essentially had no chance of winning the Republican Primary. Boy, were these individuals wrong. Not only did Rand Paul win last night, but he won big. He managed to capture over 50 percent of the vote and energize a state and country in the process. Is Rand Paul the perfect conservative candidate? No, but I believe there is no such thing as the "perfect candidate." Each and every candidate has his or her own beliefs regarding what classifies them as a Republican or Democrat. It baffles my mind the way in which so many people seem to get their panties in a bunch whenever Sarah does not endorse the candidate of their choice. In the recent weeks, I have seen some very strong, offensive language directed at Sarah by members of her own party. When she endorsed Rand Paul and even Carly Fiorina out here in my home state of California, she did so after strong consideration for what would be best for the people of Kentucky and California. It is fine for individuals to disagree with Sarah's endorsements, but instead of attacking her online and calling her vile names, take your anger to the ballot box. Your vote is the greatest endorsement there is.

I am left wondering one thing: Since when did it become law that Sarah has to please everyone? Having met and talked with her, I KNOW FOR A FACT, Sarah is her own woman and makes her own decisions. She never makes any decision without first researching and doing some soul searching. This is one of the reasons I admire her so much. She makes her own path. With her endorsement of Rand Paul, Sarah proved that she is her own woman and as far from a Washington insider as you can get.

Rand Paul's victory last night overwhelmingly proves that the good people of Kentucky agree with Sarah's judgment. The good people of Kentucky are tired of the politics as usual and just want someone who will go to Washington to work for them, putting their best interests to heart. Thank you, Sarah, for stepping up and for being your independent self. You continue to energize and rejuvenate America!!!

2) The Tea Party Movement Continues to Move Full Steam Ahead: Rand Paul's victory last night can also be heavily attributed to the tea party movement. Don't let the lamestream/mainstream media try to tell you this movement is fading or splitting up the Republican Party. On the contrary, this movement is growing, and if last night is any indication, the movement will continue to grow and have a huge impact on upcoming elections. This is what the media fear. Just as their attacks on Sarah illustrate the fear they have in her, their dismissal of the tea party movement as being a serious movement is another sign of fear. The last thing the media want to happen is for average-day Americans to have a say and let their voices be heard. As soon as this happens, the media know they have lost in selling their president. We all know the msm are in the tank for President Obama, and the more the tea party movement grows and expands, the less of an impact the msm will have in selling false advertising. All I have to say to all of this is: "Rock on, Tea Party Movement! Keep fighting the good fight and taking the commonsense conservative message all the way to Washington DC."

3) If You're a Democrat, Stay Away from an Obama Endorsement: It is crystal clear, from what we saw last night, that an endorsement from Obama is an epic fail. There is only so much glitz and glamour an individual can take before they realize they've been conned. The American people are fed up with what is occurring in Washington. Americans are seeing the wasteful spending that is occurring, and instead of sitting back, they have decided to do something about it. Just like the tea party movement is taking the country by storm, so too is the anti-Obama mood. There isn't too much more to say about this other than to kick the bums out and, in the process, kick the antics of the Obama Administration to the curb.

Bristol Palin Signs Up to Speak Out

Bristol Palin told us some time ago that she wants the experiences she's had in her own life to make a difference in the lives of others. She has begun making that difference by promoting abstinence. The abstinence message needs to be delivered far and wide, and I applaud her for being a vessel to do just that.

After giving birth to her beautiful baby boy, Tripp, she discovered the challenges of being a teenage mom. Although her son fills her with incredible joy, she understands that her situation has been made easier because she has such a strong support base. Not everyone has a family to stand with them as the Palins have stood with Bristol. The love, stability, and encouragement she's received have made all the difference in the world. In spite of what her mother, Governor Palin, would call "less than ideal circumstances," Bristol is a good mother doing a good job. God bless her.

Her message to people now is to "pause before you play." In other words, wait. Is that hypocritical, as some people have asserted? I mean, how dare she, who did not wait, tell others to wait? Actually, what Bristol is saying is abstinence is the only 100% fool-proof method to avoid pregnancy, and she's embracing that in her own life. And is it ever hypocritical for one to learn from her experiences and then to share those lessons with others? No, it's called maturity, wisdom, and plain old common sense.

Bristol is taking her abstinence message a step further now. She has signed with Single Source Speakers and will be influencing even more people as she shares her personal story--about abstinence and a number of other topics.

New York Times reports:

Bristol Palin is hitting the speakers' circuit and will command between $15,000 and $30,000 for each appearance, Palin family attorney Thomas Van Flein said Monday.

Van Flein confirmed a report by celebrity news website RadarOnline that the daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has signed with Single Source Speakers. He added her exact fees will depend on factors such as which group she's addressing and what she must to do prepare.

Bristol Palin, 19, is listed on the speaking group's website as available for conferences, fundraisers, special events and holidays, as well as women's, youth, abstinence and ''pro-life'' programs.

Her fee is denoted by four question marks, meaning ''Call to discuss!''

[Van Flein] said he believes she's interested in expanding her message beyond teen pregnancy to include her experiences on the campaign trail and in the media spotlight; her parenting approach; and her outlook on life.

Before I left for Alaska last summer, our youth pastor's wife said, "Tell Bristol Palin we'd love for her to come talk to our youth group." So...if you're reading this, Bristol, how 'bout it? A trip to New York?

Sarah Palin: Barack Obama’s American Apology World Tour Continues

Still I can’t help but feel outraged on behalf of Arizona’s citizens for the incompetence shown by these Administration officials. Arizonans have the courage to do what the Obama administration has failed to do in its first year and a half in office – namely secure our border and enforce our federal laws.

We wrote earlier, that while Sarah Palin was standing firmly with Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, and her brave action to help curb the violence and other crime that her state faces as it is invaded by foreign forces of illegal aliens, the Obama regime was making a full throated apology to China!

China is one of the world’s worst violators of human rights on the planet. How DARE Barack Obama, or anyone representing the Obama regime, apologize to any nation, but especially China, for upholding the Rule of Law in THIS Nation.

American Apology Tour Continues

On Fox News this morning, State Department Spokesman P.J. Crowley became the third Obama administration official in short succession to admit that he hadn’t actually bothered to read Arizona’s 10-page long "secure the border" bill before condemning it and criticizing Americans who support Arizona’s necessary efforts to do the job the Obama Administration should be doing. Crowley’s statement follows similar admissions from Attorney General Eric Holder and Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano.

At first blush this revelation seemed unbelievable, but maybe I shouldn’t be surprised. This now seems "the Washington way" of doing things. If the party in power tells us they have to pass bills in order to find out what’s actually in them, they can also criticize bills (and divide the country with ensuing rhetoric) without actually reading them.

Still I can’t help but feel outraged on behalf of Arizona’s citizens for the incompetence shown by these Administration officials. Arizonans have the courage to do what the Obama administration has failed to do in its first year and a half in office – namely secure our border and enforce our federal laws. And as a result, Arizonans have been subjected to a campaign of baseless accusations by the same people who freely admit they haven’t a clue about what they’re actually campaigning against.

The absolute low point of this campaign came last Friday, when a U.S. State Department delegation met with Chinese negotiators to discuss human rights. Apparently, our State Department felt it necessary to make their Chinese guests feel less bad about their own record of human rights abuses by repeatedly atoning for American "sins" – including, it seems, the Arizona immigration/pro-border security law. Asked if Arizona came up at all during the meeting, Assistant Secretary of State Michael Posner answered:

"We brought it up early and often. It was mentioned in the first session, and as a troubling trend in our society and an indication that we have to deal with issues of discrimination or potential discrimination, and that these are issues very much being debated in our own society."

Note that he said "We brought it up" – not the Chinese, but the U.S. State Department’s own delegation. Instead of grilling the Chinese about their appalling record on human rights, the State Department continued the unbelievable apology tour by raising "early and often" Arizona’s decision to secure our border.

Arizona’s law, which just mirrors the federal law, simply allows the police to ask those whom they have already stopped for some form of identification like a driver’s license. By what absurd stretch of the imagination is that the moral equivalent of China’s lack of freedoms, population controls (including forced abortions), censorship, and arbitrary detentions?

Surely our U.S. Ambassador to China, John Huntsman, must disagree with the Obama Administration’s continued apology tour? We have nothing to apologize for. If Administration officials want to apologize to anyone, apologize to the American people for the fact that after a year and a half in office, they still haven’t done anything to secure our borders, and they join our President in making false suggestions about Arizona’s effort.

In short Obama is the most un-American scoundrel this nation has ever had in our government. I honestly expect "Barack Obama" to replace "Benedict Arnold" as the universal name for a traitor in American society. At least Benedict Arnold served his nation honorably, for a time.

Barack Obama’s entire life has been dedicated to the downfall of American society. It’s past time to no longer accept the hate and division Barack Obama preaches. It’s past time to no longer accept the unabashed anti-Americanism that spews forth from Barack Obama, the Obama regime, and the Marxist-democrat party.

We know that many in the Obama regime, and no doubt Obama himself, admire Communist China. One of Obama’s closest advisers, Anita Dunn told school children that Mao Tse Tung a brutal, murderous dictator, who killed tens of millions of his own people, was her favorite philosopher! Some of Obama’s Czars, like Cass Sunstein, John Holdren, and Ezekiel Emanuel actually advocate the very human rights violations that Sarah lists, including forced abortions, censorship of free speech, and arbitrary detentions.

With that said, America is not a communist nation, yet, and if the Americans have their say, it never will be.

This nation cannot wait until 2012 to be rid of this guy. We must take back the House and Senate this fall, and we must do it in unprecedented numbers. Once achieved our new Congress must start working toward both neutering the Obama regime, and ultimately removing it.

Barack Obama and his people are embarrassments to the entire nation. Their deep hatred for America, and the American people cannot be allowed to continue to effect our once proud standing in the world.
