Nacho-Gate has been put to rest, as any sane individual would have predicted. As covered here, the haters decided that Bristol Palin should be investigated for eating nachos at a restaurant while there to see Mark Ballas, her Dancing with the Stars partner, perform. Also, as covered here, Bristol not only adhered to the law; she exceeded it. Now, it's official. Becky Bohrer reports:
State investigators say "Dancing with the Stars" contestant Bristol Palin did not violate the law by appearing last month at an Anchorage bar and grill.
Palin is 19, and the Alaska Alcoholic Beverage Control Board received several complaints about her being at Rumrunners Old Towne Bar and Grill for a performance by her dancing partner, Mark Ballas.
Law permits those under 21 to be inside such establishments if they're accompanied by a parent, spouse or legal guardian over age 21 and are there to eat.
Board Director Shirley Gifford says Palin was with an older guardian, drinking only water and eating nachos and chicken strips. She says there was nothing to indicate any law was broken.
Josh Painter breaks down the absurdity of this situation and the ongoing Palin Derangement Syndrome displayed by those hell-bent on destroying this family:
Bristol, and the other Palin offspring, had better be careful to only cross the streets within the borders of painted crosswalks, lest the PDS-afflicted run to the police and demand that they be charged with jaywalking. It seems that they would also be advised to check their pillows and make sure that no tags have been removed. That's a federal crime, you know.
Josh's comments, humorous as they seem, are not too far from the truth. This is an all-out campaign focused on destroying Governor Palin by any means necessary, That, of course, is what this is all about. And these PDS sufferers have no problem going after her children to achieve their goal. The Governor knows how to persevere, however, which she has demonstrated time and time again. She's here to stay, and these pathetic antics will continue to fall flat. These people would do well to face it now.
