Violence Not the Answer

Glenn Beck began the segment expressing his concern about economies worldwide teetering on collapse, and a group in Alaska promoting armed resistance. He indicated that faith, hope and charity are the answer, not violence and implored the group to re-consider their intentions. While introducing Gov. Palin, he described Alaska as the last place in our country where the pioneering spirit of 150 years ago still burns strong, a spirit which says, "get out of my way, but let me help you neighbor." He asked Gov. Palin what she thought of this group. She said, "Violence is not the answer. There's understandable there's legitimate frustration with our government today, and I think those who assembled at that meeting in Kenai what they were saying was that there is some desperation in society and citizens are wanting to know what they can do to have their voices be heard." Gov. Palin reiterated that violence is not the answer.

State Legislatures Exercising Tenth Amendment Rights

Glenn Beck asked Gov. Palin what she thought of legislation being passed in states like Idaho not accepting ObamaCare. "I think that Gov. Otter is spot on in using this as a tool to remind our federal government that there are limited enumerated powers held within the federal government. Butch Otter respects the Tenth Amendment to our US Constitution. Alaska and so many other states are going to follow suit too. And let's be thankful for that. Those governors who want to lead their citizens to have their voice be heard with this ObamaCare scheme that's coming down the pike, that's abhorrent; it's unacceptable and legal tools must be used," she said.

Glenn Beck said "it's not just health care, it's also education. You're not going to be able to get any private dollars for education. That is just so much control." He went on to discuss how states, such as New York might be giving IOU's rather than tax refunds. "That's not going to sit well with people. We're sitting here on a powder keg," Beck said. Gov. Palin responded, "try to reverse there Glenn, and tell the IRS IOU later on the check's in the mail, and see how well that works."

Take up Arms by Voting and Supporting Contested Primaries

"This powder keg that you're talking about, that's exactly what the people down there in Kenai were kind of manifesting too in their frustration," she said. Gov. Palin referenced President Eisenhower on leadership, saying, "at this time in American history, it's the citizens who are going to have to lead our elected officials in government. Leadership is not hitting somebody over the head. It's not taking up arms at this point. That's not leadership, that's assault."

"We need to make sure that the tool that we use in 'taking up arms if you will' is our vote. It's supporting contested primaries and healthy debate in our elections that are upcoming. No elected official should feel they are entitled to their seat," Gov. Palin said. "Here in Alaska, I would like to see more contested primaries going into these midterm elections across our nation. We will see more. That needs to be ... our arms - our votes and our support for contested primaries," Gov. Palin said.

Our Voice from the Bottom Up

Glenn Beck asked Gov. Palin what she sees as the future for the TEA Party. She responded, "The TEA Parties will grow. These movements of the people, this groundswell of support for our Constitution and these limited enumerated powers of our federal government; these movements are going to grow. People cannot be discouraged and they cannot buy into what the mainstream media would want us to believe and that is 'we need to sit down and shut up' and that government will take care of us....More and more Americans are realizing, 'oh this is that voice in the TEA Party, this that voice coming from the bottom up telling our elected officials and appointed officials in government what we mean when we say 'NO!'"

"Constitutional limits to government power: that's what we want to see plugged in," Gov. Palin concluded.

Palin: Gvmt which Governs Least Governs Best

In her interview with Sean Hannity Governor Palin addressed the alarming "new normal" that the rush to vote on health care is creating: a corrupt political process, disregard for the Constitution and more policy changes being executed this way now that the floodgate has been opened. "This is not health care reform. This is take-over," Gov. Palin said. She added that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D) is the "fall guy" for the procedural trick that is being considered, "deeming the Senate bill as passed by the House" without an actual vote, and "could not possibly have been thinking this up herself."

Gov Palin said that people have woken up and are seeing that they must hold politicians accountable and said that this "deem and pass" process is un-Constitutional, un-democratic, and un-American. "This is a scary place for America to be....everything around this ObamaCare goes against the will of the people...we have learned through American history that the government which governs least governs best, and that all political power is inherent in the people. Government originates from the will of the people and is implemented through the will of the people," she said.

"The process that Pelosi is pushing is unconstitutional. This is cut and dry, white and black," Gov. Palin said. Is the "Constitution not worth the paper it's written on?"

Hannity pointed out that Article I, Section 7 is very clear: "Congress is required to present the president with a bill that is identical in both houses." "That's not the case," he said. "There is supposed to be a yay or nay vote." Hannity and Gov. Palin's colleague Mark Levin has prepared a court challenge to ObamaCare if it is passed via the "Slaughter Rule." Gov. Palin predicted that the court challenge along with public wrath could defeat ObamaCare if it were to pass. She said "in our lifetime, this is the most un-democratic, most un-American step we will have seen our Congress take. It's appalling. It takes my breath away that they would think this is OK to do."

"We can't feign surprise....Obama said during the campaign that were days away from transforming America," Gov. Palin said.

"The independent American, the independent thinker realizes that we are going down a path that's not good for our country, this debt we are incurring, this take-over of one sixth of our economy," she said. So many independent Americans will be voting differently in 2010 than in 2008. Gov. Palin noted Congress' desperation to pass the bill no matter what so that the Obama administration can record a "win" for its agenda. "This does not bode well for those members of Congress who are up for re-election in November...they are sheep...going along to get along with Pelosi, Reid, and Obama," she said.

Hannity said he could understand this behavior from rigid ideologues like Obama, but questioned if there was not one Democrat with conscience who realizes that this is not constitutional. "Why would all these Democrats walk the plank? Is it because they want to be liked in Washington?" Hannity asked. "They are like a bunch of dead fish...only dead fish go with the flow....as a mayor, as a governor, I had to buck my party many times; I've had to go against with leaders of the party insisted I do."

"That independent, almost pioneering spirit courses through America's veins and has made us into the country that we are....what these party leaders are doing will catch up with them...that's what you're seeing with the TEA Party and other Americans rising up," she said. "They wanting from their leaders that independence and the moral courage to do what is right."

Hannity addressed Stupak and abortion funding, and the quote that abortions are being provided because children cost money. "Those who believe that the most promising and precious ingredient in this mixed up society is not a child? The most promising and precious ingredient is a child!" Gov. Palin said. "For that type of thinking to be involved now in the ObamaCare debate 'that well more babies being born - that would be a bad thing' is absolutely appalling. We have strayed in the past week...focusing on the process. The substance of the bill has not been discussed as much," she said.

"Americans do need to stay focused on what is in ObamaCare...there will be 150 new bureaucracies, commissions, and offices that will be in control of our health care.... Obama has suggested that he does not know what is in the bill. Pelosi said we have to pass it and then we will know what is in it. Some scary things going on right now."

Analysis

The Slaughter Rule is absolutely un-Constitutional. ObamaCare will take-over one sixth of our economy and destroy lives. The methods being used to pass it will lead to the gutting of our Constitution and the passage of other equally nefarious legislation. Obama's seething hatred for our country is manifest. The mask is off. We need to keep the pressure on and ensure that this abomination does not pass and if it does to strike it down in the courts. We need to vote out all the bums who supported this. Obama is not presidential material. He is a complete, absolute, and utter disgrace to the office he holds, and we have 1,039 more days of him.

Johnston Helped Griffin Trespass Palin's Property

D-List Queen Extraordinaire Kathy Griffin trespassed upon the Palin's property earlier this month to leave an "invitation" to her "comedy" show, in which she hurled sexist and misogynist invective at Governor Palin, as reported in Kathy Griffin: PDS Fueled by Hate and Chutzpah. We reported that according to the Associated Press Levi Johnston introduced Griffin at her show.



Today, Patrick Gavin of Politico reports that "Griffin recently visited Alaska and knocked on Sarah Palin's door. (Palin wasn’t home.) Griffin had along with her Levi Johnston, who remained in his truck "because he's afraid Todd [Palin] would shoot him." (Gavin, 2010, ¶4).

Johnston conspired with, aided and abetted Griffin's trespassing. The father of a child he co-conceived with Bristol Palin, was at one time trusted and very nearly a member of the family. Yet, he made a conscious decision to drive a sworn enemy to the Palins' house where she was not welcome. Why would he fear being shot? Perhaps, because he was trespassing himself; he knew full well he was doing wrong; that he was some place he was not supposed to be. Ironically, Griffin said, "[t]here's a level of fearlessness that I like” (Gavin, 2010, ¶5).

While Johnston - who is well known the Palins - feared for his own hide, he wasn't afraid that this stranger on the Palins' property would be shot. If the "fearless" Johnston was a man, he would have left Griffin in the truck and dropped off the "invitation." Instead, he cowered in the truck, while the woman took care of business, though, it was her own nefarious business that was being tended to. This appears to be his modus operandi in life: leave the woman holding the bag, dump the responsibilities on her, while letting Rex Butler, Tank Jones, Playgirl, the Roll Corporation, and now Griffin use him as a pawn in their war on the Palins.

In our prior coverage, we wrote, "Griffin is reputed to be something of a cougar on the prowl. Could Levi Johnston be her latest quarry?" Today's coverage by Gavin appears to indicate he is. The 50-year-old Griffin said, "I only have eyes for Levi," who is 19 (Gavin, 2010, ¶5). Griffin and Johnston appear to be spending significant amounts of "quality time" together in their various pursuits. Her statement betrays at least the intent of extra-curricular activity, if not the existence of it.

Meanwhile, Tripp Johnston's mother is working, going to school, doing public relations for the Candies Foundation, and set to appear on the Secret Life of the American Teenager, addressing problems with teenage pregnancy - all while taking good and proper care of her son.

It is no secret that a large amount of liberals cannot stand Sarah Palin. While I can understand the disdain they have for her in terms of what she believes politically (I have the same disdain for President Obama for the policies he is trying to push through- policies that would change the America I know and love forever), I cannot understand the vile, personal cheap shots. When the attacks on Sarah and her family turn personal, it angers me to all end. The majority of the individuals who claim to hate Sarah have never even met her. If they met the Sarah whom I was so privileged to meet this past December, they would see an amazing woman who is not only kind and generous, but down-to-earth as well. As a conservative Republican, I could tell liberal democrats this all day long, and they would continue to call me a liar and tell me I was out of my mind. Well, if they don't want to listen to me, perhaps they would listen to Ilana Angel, a self-described Democrat who met Sarah the first week of March while Sarah was in Los Angeles. Like me, Ilana is a California blogger who runs the blog Keeping the Faith for the Jewish Journal. While my blog has a political tone, Ilana blogs about pop culture and her journey as a single woman, in her 40s, to find love, which illustrates how great and wide ranging the blogosphere can be. I recently spoke to Ilana on the phone, and I can tell you firsthand that she is an amazing woman with an amazing life story, and her account of meeting Sarah is one everyone NEEDS to read and hear.

I am pleased to announce that Ilana will be our final guest TONIGHT (Thursday) on Camille Friend and my radio show. Yesterday a friend and I had a meeting together in the valley. I arrived before he did, so I decided to sit outside and wait since it was such a beautiful day. As I sat in the sun, I saw a women chatting with a gentleman a few feet away. I thought I recognized her, but was not sure.

I saw my friend approaching, so I got up and walked towards him. As I passed the woman, I got a good look and realized I was looking at Sarah Palin. I hugged my friend and we turned to walk into the building. I then stopped, turned around, and walked back towards her.

Let me begin by saying that Sarah Palin is beautiful. Not just pretty, but beautiful. She has great hair, fabulous teeth, magnificent skin, and a killer body. She is tiny, feminine, and stunning. She is very approachable, so I decided to introduce myself, and say hello.

She was standing there with Mark Burnett, who I think is fabulous. We all know I am a reality television junky, and think he is King, but I was so blown away by how much fun she was to talk to, that I barely said hello to a man who I think totally rocks. Note to self for next time, never give up an opportunity to talk to Mark Burnett.

To clarify, I don’t agree with her politics. We are polar opposite in terms of our political, and religious views. That said, her politics and beliefs have nothing to do with my blog. This is America and she can believe what she wants, as can everyone else, myself included. I approached her because I like her as a woman. We are both ballsy ladies, and mothers.

It's Romper Room in Obama-land

He promised us hope and change. He promised to change the tone of Washington. He promised to end partisan bickering and conduct business out in the open. Instead, we have doom and gloom, a bitter tone in Washington, unprecedented partisan bickering and back room deals. These are the kind of things you'd see in an unsupervised daycare center, not a U.S. presidential administration.

Yes, from the top on down, it's romper room, folks. The children are running the daycare and the patients are running the asylum. There is no reaching across the aisle because you can't extend a hand through closed doors behind which you're chanting "na na na na na, we won and we're going to pass health care reform anyway." There is no hope and change when the grown ups have to show up in Washington DC to protest the recklessness and the children laugh at them and mock them instead.

From naked chiefs of staff poking Congressmen in the shower to press secretaries writing on their hands to giving heads of state cheap and meaningless gifts to calling cops stupid, this administration has acted like nothing but children. Those who told us the country was going to be taken over by an angry old man and the "Wasilla Hillbillies" must have been forming their mental manifestation in wait during the 2008 presidential campaign. All that they feared; all that they warned us of; all they accused us of being. They have become.

They feared the Republican vice presidential candidate would be a bumbling fool. Theirs is. They feared that GOP Congressional leadership would pander to special interests. Their's does. They feared that conservatives would favor the rich over the poor. They have (in the form of bailouts and dependency programs). They are everything that they campaigned against in 2008.

Children can be mean when they tease and taunt. Yesterday, Sarah Palin put out a well worded statement about the situation in Israel. The reaction in the comments section reminded me once again that the children were still regressing. She didn't write that. She's a dummy. How dare Politico had even print something she wrote. It reminded me that while Obama might be losing independents, he still has his base - the same "children" who can't stop giggling about seeing Russia from a house in Alaska.

Sarah Palin thought Alan Grayson should be punished for telling the other kids that the grown ups wanted them to die and die quickly. She didn't want to use bad language, though, because there were children in the room. Grayson later threw a hissy fit - screaming and kicking and throwing things on his website - because "momma" scolded him. Did you ever have to bite your lip to stop yourself from laughing at a child's reaction when you were disciplining them?

Now lets take a look at Washington where no one wants to play "health care." Did you ever notice how children change the rules to a game when they are losing? Where's the grown up when you need one to tell little Nancy to play fair or don't play at all? Or, how about this one: "I'll let you ride on my plane if you play with me?" Yup, wittle Dennis got a pwane ride yesterday.

It's time for the adults to come back into the room and with one loud gong, signal to the children that recess is over and it's time to get back to work. It's time that the children stop tearing up the shining city on a hill, littering it with their cap n tax, health care reform and financial reform "toys." It's time for the adults to clean up the mess and send the children to bed.

Sarah Palin To Barack Obama: Israel Is Our Friend Not Our Enemy Pal

Not since noted anti-Semite Jimmy Carter was President has our relationship with Israel been so strained. The Obama administration has been openly hostile to Israel since day one, while reaching out to our worst enemies in the Middle East.

While Obama and his minions scold Israel over the slightest of things, Iran, a nation that vows to wipe both Israel and the United States off the map, is developing nuclear weapons, and making more threats to the world. Obama has done nothing meaningful to stop this. He is impotent.

You know, speaking of Jimmy Carter, he has to be one happy guy these days. Not only is Barack Obama a bigger failure than Carter, domestically, no small feat BTW, he has also managed to turn America into a laughing stock around the world. Obama has done of this in record time too, far surpassing Jimmy Carter’s worthlessness. So, we are quite sure Carter is pleased that he will no longer be referred to as our worst President eveh.

With that said, Sarah Palin has always been a friend of Israel, and has been speaking out loudly in support of our ally. We wrote earlier that Sarah’s friendship with Israel was strong. You can read all about that, as well as comments from Caroline Glick from the Jerusalem Post, here.

Today Sarah issued a statement in support of our Jewish friends and sternly scolds Obama on his foreign policies:

Needed: A Reset with Israel

The Obama Administration reaches out to some of the world’s worst regimes in the name of their engagement policy. America and our allies watch as sanctions are eased on Cuba. Letters are written to Iran’s mullahs only to see that regime start killing protestors in the streets of Tehran. Envoys are sent to North Korea as they continue to defy the world’s demand to give up their nuclear weapons.

The Burmese military junta’s representative is allowed to travel to our nation's capital. The President’s envoy for Sudan talks about giving that genocidal regime "gold stars," while the President shakes hands with Venezuela’s tyrannical leader. In the midst of all this embracing of enemies, where does the Obama Administration choose to escalate a minor incident into a major diplomatic confrontation? With Iran, Cuba, Sudan, North Korea or Burma? No. With our treasured ally, Israel.

Last October, Secretary of State Clinton recognized Israel's desire for peace in the Middle East and praised Israel's "unprecedented" concessions for agreeing to halt settlement construction in the West Bank, a concession that did NOT include halting construction of apartments for Jews in Jerusalem. Even last week after planned construction was announced, Vice President Biden still expressed "appreciation" for the "significant" steps taken by the Israeli government to address this minor issue.

Now, however, we see the Obama Administration has decided to escalate, make unilateral demands of Israel, and threaten the very foundation of the US-Israel relationship. This is quickly leading to the worst crisis in US-Israel relations in decades, and yet this did not have to happen. More importantly, it needs to stop before it spirals out of control. Vice President Biden should rein in the overheated Obama Administration rhetoric and chill the political spin masters' fire as they visit the Sunday media shows to criticize Israel.

Once again, the Obama Administration is missing the boat on a very, very important issue. They need to go back to the basics and acknowledge Palestinian leaders have not progressed any peace process since President Obama was elected. As Israel makes concessions (and is still criticized by the Obama Administration),

Arab leaders are just sitting back waiting for the White House to further pressure Israel. The Obama Administration needs to open its eyes and recognize that it is only Iran and her terrorist allies that benefit from this manufactured Israeli controversy.

Vice President Biden was actually right when he said last week, before the construction announcement, that "one necessary precondition for progress is that the rest of the world knows...there is absolutely no space between the United States and Israel when it comes to security." Right now, thanks to the Obama Administration, there is a chasm. It's time for President Obama to push the reset button on our relations with our ally Israel.

No truer words have been spoken. It is indeed time to reset our relationship with our ally, Israel, and develop reasonable foreign policy to combat our many enemies.

Sarah is not the only one speaking out on this serious issue. Yesterday, Joe Lieberman and John McCain took to the Senate floor:

Lieberman, McCain call on Admin to "lower voices" on Israel

Senators Joe Lieberman, D-CT, and John McCain, R-AZ, , just took to the Senate floor to call on the Obama Administration to end its condemnation of Israel over the actions of a bureaucrat during the recent visit to that country by Vice President Joe Biden. The message from the two was pretty simple: It's time to lower voices and get over the family feud.

Both senators, longtime allies and proponents of Israel, particularly Lieberman, said the Administration needs to recognize that the feud opens up a potential avenue for "enemies" of the U.S. (they named Iran mostly, and Syria) to exploit.

During a visit to Israel last week to help start indirect peace talks, however modest, Eli Yishai, Israel's interior minister, announced the construction of new housing units in disputed east Jerusalem. Many U.S. commentators called it "the diplomatic slap heard 'round the world.'

By all accounts, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu was blindsided by the announcement, every bit as much as Biden.


Biden, who was to dine with Netanyahu afterward, kept the Israeli leader waiting for 90 minutes and then, in a statement released during the meal, used rather explosive diplomatic words, not usually heard between the allies, words that Lieberman today called "a little strong."

"I condemn the decision by the government of Israel to advance planning for new housing units in East Jerusalem," Biden said in the statement.

Lieberman and McCain seemed to say that had the condemnation stopped there, it might have been o.k. But the added criticism by the Secretary of State and the Administration's top political adviser, along with the State Department spokesman, set the duo off.

Lieberman called the rhetoric "very troubling."

Secretary Clinton and David Axelrod offered stinging rebukes of Israel's actions. Axelrod, on Sunday, called the action an "affront." Clinton told MSNBC'S Andrea Mitchell that the action was "insulting."

As well, a State Department spokesman, recounting a call Friday by Clinton to Netanyahu, said the secretary called "to make clear that the United States considered the announcement to be a deeply negative signal about Israel's approach to the bilateral relationship and counter to the spirit of the vice president's trip."

And the Associated Press is now reporting that the Obama Administration is now calling on the Israelis to scrap all plans for the expansion in east Jerusalem, something the prime minister appeared to shrug off.

A stern rebuke of the Obama Administration by the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), perhaps one of the most powerful lobbying groups in Washington, has sparked a growing wave of concern by unhappy politicians. Unless this is resolved soon, there is little doubt the concern with the Administration's rhetoric will grow louder, as has been the historic response when past Administrations butted heads with Israel.

AIPAC, in statement released Sunday, called the Administration's statements "a matter of serious concern" and added, "AIPAC calls on the administration to take immediate steps to defuse the tension with the Jewish State."

Is the Jewish love affair with the Democratic Party about to end?

For all of my looooong life, the Jews have been so deep in the pocket of the Democratic Party it would make Chris Matthews blush. Maybe… just maybe… (I know old habits die hard)…. thanks to Barack Obama, that is about to end. The well-put lede from this morning’s WSJ opinion piece details the situation:

In recent weeks, the Obama Administration has endorsed "healthy relations" between Iran and Syria, mildly rebuked Syrian President Bashar Assad for accusing the U.S. of "colonialism," and publicly apologized to Moammar Gadhafi for treating him with less than appropriate deference after the Libyan called for "a jihad" against Switzerland.

When it comes to Israel, however, the Administration has no trouble rising to a high pitch of public indignation. On a visit to Israel last week, Vice President Joe Biden condemned an announcement by a mid-level Israeli official that the government had approved a planning stage—the fourth out of seven required—for the construction of 1,600 housing units in north Jerusalem. Assuming final approval, no ground will be broken on the project for at least three years.

The Obama administration has taken the admonition to "Keep your friends close but your enemies closer" to a new level. They want to make love with their enemies while taking their friends to the woodshed and beating the living daylights out of them. And take them they did, time after time. First Biden, then Hillary, then some semi anonymous character at the State Department dressing down Ambassador Oren (talk about disrespecting your betters!), then on to the talk show circuit with the droning Gibbs and Obama’s "best Jew" David Axlerod. His other "best Jew" Rahm Emanuel was nowhere in evidence, as far as I know. (Interesting, that).

But back to my lede. Is the Jewish love affair with the Democratic Party about to end? I know many will be skeptical. And they should be. But I suspect something is brewing. This kind of excessive and weirdly paternalistic attitude to the state of Israel, directed so clearly from the top, seems to come out of a kind of unexamined personal animus. The long record that Obama has of friendship with virulent enemies of Israel has not gone unnoticed.

Whatever the etiology, group love affairs with political parties cannot help but be self-destructive. They may begin in a burst of mutual admiration but they will almost always devolve into a self-destructive "taking for granted" that could only work to the benefit of one party (if that). The love affair between African-Americans and the Democratic Party has been similarly useless for blacks. In the forty years I have lived in Los Angeles, I haven’t noticed life getting significantly better in South Central, a region of the city in which Republicans are about as scarce as killer whales.

This doesn’t mean I think Jews or blacks or anybody else should become Republicans. They should think for themselves and even change sides when it’s advantageous. For Jews, Obama’s behavior is indeed a "teaching moment." The bizarre over-reaction to a minor incident in Israel should serve as a wake up call.

Will it? It won’t be easy to tell at first. The coming AIPAC meeting in Washington, at which Clinton and Netanyahu will speak, will undoubtedly contain a certain amount of nice-nice talk. But beneath the surface sands are shifting. We shall see if this morphs into a tectonic plate.

And then there’s Iran.

As if all of this isn’t troubling enough for one day, it is now being reported that Obama has found himself a brand new, America hating, socialist, "spiritual advisor." This guy is so filled with anti-American hatred and Saul Alinsky communism, that he’d make Obama’s old preacher, The Reverend Jeremiah "God Damn America" Wright blush!

Not again! Meet Obama's new controversial pastor

Champion of communism, socialism called U.S. 'destroyer of human life'

Rev. Jim Wallis, a member of President Obama's "faith council" who is described as a spiritual adviser to the president, is a socialist activist who has championed communist causes and previously labeled the U.S. "the great captor and destroyer of human life."

Wallis was in the news last week urging Christians to stop watching Fox News host Glenn Beck's program for Beck's remarks against churches that preach "social justice."

The Associated Baptist Press described Wallis as a "politically progressive evangelical and longtime advocate for the poor." The Huffington Post identified Wallis as a "Christian author and social justice advocate."

Wallis, however, is a long time socialist advocate and founder of a far-left magazine, Sojourners, that has championed communist causes.

He currently serves on Obama's White House Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships. He reportedly is a spiritual adviser to Obama and has known the president for years.

Wallis began his activism as a protester and then later Michigan leader of the Students for a Democratic Society, the 1960's antiwar group from which Bill Ayers' Weatherman domestic terrorist organization splintered.

Discover the Networks said that as a theology student, Wallis founded an anti-capitalism magazine called the Post-American, which identified wealth redistribution and government-managed economies as the keys to achieving "social justice."

In 1971, Wallis renamed his magazine Sojourners. He has since served as editor of the publication.

Sojourners' official "statement of faith" urges readers to "refuse to accept [capitalist] structures and assumptions that normalize poverty and segregate the world by class."

Sojourners has published a slew of radicals, including socialist activist Cornel West and James Cone, considered the founder of Black Liberation Theology, which spawned the likes of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's pastor of nearly 20 years.

Wallis' magazine actively lobbied for communist regimes that seized power in Latin America in the late 1970s, including the Sandinista dictatorship in Nicaragua. Sojourners in the 1980s was a fierce opponent of the U.S. nuclear buildup, claiming the policy was "an intolerable evil" irreconcilably at odds with Christianity.

In his 1976 book, "Agenda for Biblical People," Wallis called the U.S. "the great power, the great seducer, the great captor and destroyer of human life, the great master of humanity and history in its totalitarian claims and designs."

Wallis continues to openly support socialism. Along with socialist activist West, Wallis in 1995 founded Call to Renewal, a coalition of religious groups demanding the spread of U.S. wealth to promote "social justice."

As a guest on MSNBC last week, Wallis stated "social justice" is at the heart of the Bible.

"The God of the Bible is the God of justice," he said. "Though the poor are in the center of God's concern... Poverty breaks the heart of God. And it breaks the heart of the church. So, this is about Christians who may disagree on politics. Republicans, Democrats, it doesn't matter. Left or right. We have different views on the role of government. Doesn't matter, But justice is integral to the gospel."

Great stuff isn’t it!

Here we have a President that is openly hostile to Israel and the Jewish people, and continues to embrace the most radical anti-American communists this world has to offer. Not only embrace them, hell, Obama makes them part of his administration!

Sarah Palin is dead on, Obama needs to hit the reset button with our Israeli friends, but I’ll take it a step further, and say that Obama needs to reset his entire life, and realize he is supposed to be an American. That, and he needs to stop pallin’ around with terrorists!

Sarah Palin: Needed: A Reset with Israel

This day, March 16, 2010 at 1301 EST, Governor Palin wrote about the critical importance of resetting our alliance with Israel, and abandoning the current Neville Chamberlain-esque appeasement policy towards enemy nations:

The Obama Administration reaches out to some of the world’s worst regimes in the name of their engagement policy. America and our allies watch as sanctions are eased on Cuba. Letters are written to Iran’s mullahs only to see that regime start killing protestors in the streets of Tehran. Envoys are sent to North Korea as they continue to defy the world’s demand to give up their nuclear weapons. The Burmese military junta’s representative is allowed to travel to our nation’s capital. The President’s envoy for Sudan talks about giving that genocidal regime “gold stars,” while the President shakes hands with Venezuela’s tyrannical leader. In the midst of all this embracing of enemies, where does the Obama Administration choose to escalate a minor incident into a major diplomatic confrontation? With Iran, Cuba, Sudan, North Korea or Burma? No. With our treasured ally, Israel.

Last October, Secretary of State Clinton recognized Israel’s desire for peace in the Middle East and praised Israel’s “unprecedented” concessions for agreeing to halt settlement construction in the West Bank, a concession that did NOT include halting construction of apartments for Jews in Jerusalem. Even last week after planned construction was announced, Vice President Biden still expressed “appreciation” for the “significant” steps taken by the Israeli government to address this minor issue. Now, however, we see the Obama Administration has decided to escalate, make unilateral demands of Israel, and threaten the very foundation of the US-Israel relationship. This is quickly leading to the worst crisis in US-Israel relations in decades, and yet this did not have to happen. More importantly, it needs to stop before it spirals out of control. Vice President Biden should rein in the overheated Obama Administration rhetoric and chill the political spin masters’ fire as they visit the Sunday media shows to criticize Israel.

Once again, the Obama Administration is missing the boat on a very, very important issue. They need to go back to the basics and acknowledge Palestinian leaders have not progressed any peace process since President Obama was elected. As Israel makes concessions (and is still criticized by the Obama Administration), Arab leaders are just sitting back waiting for the White House to further pressure Israel. The Obama Administration needs to open its eyes and recognize that it is only Iran and her terrorist allies that benefit from this manufactured Israeli controversy. Vice President Biden was actually right when he said last week, before the construction announcement, that “one necessary precondition for progress is that the rest of the world knows...there is absolutely no space between the United States and Israel when it comes to security.” Right now, thanks to the Obama Administration, there is a chasm. It’s time for President Obama to push the reset button on our relations with our ally Israel.

Peace through strength - as the man whose torch you now carry - is the answer.

Obama's policies are not merely contemptible; they are a grave and gathering danger to our national security.
