MotivationTruth Stands Up for Sarah Palin Legal Defense Fund

MotivationTruth is taking an active role in helping the Sarah Palin Legal Defense Fund. As you know, Governor Palin resigned as governor of Alaska when obsessive partisans decided to wage war on her. They filed a plethora of bogus ethics complaints against her, abusing the legal system, tying up resources, and costing the state and the Palin family an obscene amount of money. Although these complaints were dismissed, they continued their plan to destroy her. This, of course, is why she stepped away from the governor's office.

As odd as it is, in Alaska, it doesn't cost the complaint filer money to bring charges, but it costs the accused money to defend herself. Clearly, the law is flawed, but there was nothing Governor Palin could do but pay to prove her innocence. And of course, she was continually cleared of any wrongdoing.

Prior to her leaving office, her supporters set up a legal defense fund to help eliminate this ever-increasing debt based on these ridiculous antics. This kind of fund is common. Bill and Hillary Clinton had one. So did John Kerry. Lawmakers in Alaska had them. It's nothing unusual, strange, or unethical. But there seems to be a separate set of rules when your name is Sarah Palin. So recently her fund was deemed unlawful because of its use of the word "official." How utterly ridiculous. We shouldn't be surprised, however, especially upon learning that President Obama's own lawyers drafted the report against her. And silly people are still so naive as to believe that our president is not afraid of the hockey mom from Wasilla. Read for yourself here. Read more about what really went down here.

Governor Palin is now required to return all monies donated to the first fund, which is now dissolved. She must make an attempt to do so within 90 days of the June 24th ruling. This is where MotivationTruth comes in.

The haters think they have won with this ruling, but they have not. They must not. Their goal was to destroy her name and her pocketbook. Alaska Democrats Used Ethics Complaints to
Keep Gov Palin out of Office

• The National Democratic Committee used its Alaska chapter, the Alaska Democratic Party (ADP), to create a website with one stated goal: "Keep Sarah Palin Out of Public Office." To this day, the Democrats use this website to publicly seek donations for funding bogus "legal challenges involving issues related to Sarah Palin."
• The ADP's "Keep Sarah Palin Out of Public Office" campaign used our own legal system to sponsor more than two dozen ethics complaints against Governor Palin. Out of the 27 complaints, 26 were dismissed!

"Independent" Counsel Worked for Obama's Law Firm

• The so-called "independent counsel" who started the investigation into the Alaska Fund Trust and who took issue with the word "official" was an attorney from President Barack Obama's law firm.
  
  • The word "official" was used so that supporters would know it was not just approved by the family, but that it complied with disclosure requirements, had professional management, created limits on who could donate and how much could be donated, and a variety of other restrictions that made it a very conservative and limited trust.
  • Further, the word "official" was used to distinguish the Alaska Fund Trust from other legal defense funds that were starting to pop up and no one knew if these would comply with disclosure laws, lobbyist restrictions, etc.

Clint Didier: A Strong Decisive Leader For America. Why We Need Him In The United States Senate

Leadership. It’s an ability you either have, or you don’t.

Clint Didier is a born leader. A lifelong farmer, Clint was drafted into the National Football League out of Portland State University by the Washington Redskins, where he spent seven seasons and played in three Super Bowls. He would go on to play for the Green Bay Packers for two more seasons.

When Clint retired in 1990 he bought a farm close to the original family farm in Eastern Washington. He also owns a successful excavation business. Both of these are tough businesses that require strong, bold leadership to survive. But that’s not all Clint has done.

Clint also devoted nine years to coaching the Connell High School football program. Under Clint’s strong leadership, the team won two state championships and was second twice.

Ronald Reagan used to talk about leadership. Reagan said "Raise the banner of bold colors, not pale pastels." What he meant was we need strong leadership with big ideas. Bold ideas. Just as it was in 1975 when Reagan first made that speech, now is the time for bold leaders, not the timid.

The reason I write today is to talk about the differences between the two front running candidates for the Republican nomination in Washington state: Clint Didier and Dino Rossi.

On paper these two gentlemen may appear similar. Both are billed as Conservatives. To be honest, Rossi had a decent record during his two terms as a state Senator and before leaving the Senate to run for Governor, was chair of the Ways and Means Committee. But when you start looking at the issues, and the way both men approach them, you start seeing some stunning differences.

The best way to put it is this: Clint Didier is a plain spoken, no nonsense guy who tells you what he thinks. He doesn’t do nuance. No doubt, this is one of the reasons Sarah Palin endorsed him. She doesn’t do nuance either. You check him out on the issues and there isn’t a lot of grey area to drift around in. Check Clint out on the issues here.

Bold, decisive, no nonsense.

Now at first glance, Dino Rossi seems to be on the same page. But if you really look where Rossi is, you see some differences. Strong differences.

Let’s take Health Care for example. Specifically, ObamaCare. Clint Didier just says, point blank, it’s unconstitutional. The government has no right and no business fooling around with health care. Not their job. No where in the Constitution does it give Congress the authority to do what it’s done. Plain, simple and correct.

On the other hand, Rossi is a tad more timid, nuanced, and vague. Oh, he has the right idea and points out all of the things wrong with ObamaCare, and talks about the backroom deals and how this is only going to destroy health care in America. On his website, his official position is this:

Replace Pelosi-Reid healthcare bill with something that will actually lower health insurance costs , improve access to a greater variety of health insurance plans, and give people choice in picking their doctors .

Sounds great. Where do I sign up?

The problem is, on the very same page, right above it, he also says this:

We need to repeal the parts of this bill which hurt access to and coverage for quality affordable health care, and replace it with common - sense bipartisan proposals.

Two problems here. Obviously the first part is where he says "We need to repeal the parts ..."

Repeal PARTS?

Really?

That sure sounds a whole lot like Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski’s nuanced position that ObamaCare is a "work in progress." She was also talking about repealing ObamaCare at one point, but has gotten quite soft on the issue, as we pointed out here.

It’s a tad concerning that Rossi isn’t even in office yet and we aren’t sure where he is on this deal. I can’t hammer him for being a Big Government Statist like Murkowski, but this is certainly a squishy establishment Republican kind of position.

My second problem here is it seems that Rossi is more concerned about developing a bi-partisan plan, than a good one. Or at the least, just as concerned about it. Bi-partisanship is a fine thing IN THEORY, but if we have leaned anything at all since the Marxist-democrats took control of Congress almost 4 years ago, and especially since the Obama regime came to power, to the Marxist-democrats, bi-partisanship means you do it their way, or else.

We’ve already seen the damage the reach-across-the aisle crowd is capable of. They are way too timid, and way too quick to compromise just to get a deal, any deal.They are little more than enablers to Marxist radicals who are destroying our Republic.

We got enough milquetoast, squishes on our side. The Marxist-democrats are ruthless and never give an inch on anything, and never compromise on their evil plans for the country. We shouldn’t compromise on plans to take our nation back! We need to get back to being the Constitutional Republic the founders created.

I will say this, Dino Rossi was successful as a reach-across-the-aisle-er in the State Senate, but that ain’t D.C.! George W. Bush was incredibly successful as the Governor of Texas at working with hard core democrats to get real things done. However, at that point in time there were few Marxists in the Texas democrat party. Once Bush became President, he went out of his way to reach out to the Marxist-democrats. Basically let Teddy Kennedy write the education bill. We all know how the Marxists thanked him.

As troubling as it is to know that we don’t exactly know what Rossi’s stance on Health care is, it’s even more troubling to think that Rossi may not realize that we are at a state of war with the radical left, for the soul of the nation and the survival of the Republic. .

Energy is another area where it’s easy to see why Sarah Palin speaks so well of Clint. These two are simpatico. Clint embraces the idea of "Drill baby, drill" and why not. We have an estimated 300 years of recoverable oil, and that’s if we don’t import a drop.

Like Sarah, Clint ties energy independence into national security. Over the coming decades, as China and Russia grow, this will be our number one national security issue. Clint recognizes we need to reel in the out of control EPA, and the environmental extremists, that do more harm than good, and start building some refineries as well.

Clint does talk about some renewable energy , but he puts a huge emphasis on nuclear power. Not only would the construction phase of both refineries and nuclear power plants  create good, well paying jobs, and a lot of them, so would the finished facilities. Good, sustainable jobs.

We are never going to see a time where we don’t need energy. Our only question is do we do it for ourselves, or rely on other nations, and hope they don’t decided at some point to either stop supplying it to us, or make it so expensive we can’t afford it.


France gets over 75 percent of it’s electricity from nuclear powered plants. FRANCE. If they can do it, we can do it, and do it better.

Rossi is a little more timid, and a lot more vague on energy. While he seems to be against cap and tax, a good thing, the rest of his positions tend to be less than ideal.

His plan relies a lot on "alternative energy" sources, and a steadily increasing reliance on them. The problem is, as we point out here, people have been throwing money down the bottomless pit of "alternative energy" for over a half century, and overall, we are using LESS alternative energy, not more.

The problem is, none of the alternatives really work, and even the ones that marginally do, can only survive with massive government subsidies. Not a good plan when times are booming, and times are definitely not booming!

Though he doesn’t come right out and say it, as you read his positions on energy, you can see he’s trying to court both reality based Conservatives, and the flat earth society greens who believe in nonsense like global warming.

You can check out all of Dino Rossi’s postions on the issues here. He’s not horrible, but the lack of bold, authoritative answers leave a lot to be desired. In short, there’s a better, bolder, stronger candidate.

Another example of Rossi’s timidity is shown in the video below. Here he and Clint are debating what to do with the Fed:







As you can tell, while Rossi is trying to get the answer right. Clint is bold, and decisive. Didn’t have to search for the nuanced answer.

If you’ve not seen this speech from the Washington State Republican Convention, watch it and you’ll see why we are impressed.







Bold and dynamic. Clint Didier reminds me a lot of another great patriot, Lt Col. Allen West, someone else who isn’t shy about speaking his mind!

There are more concerns I have with Dino Rossi. These not only call into question his timidity, but his ability to close the deal. Rossi was late getting into the race, even though many thought he was the guy to run. Instead of jumping in, especially with his decent base of support, he waited until others came, and went. It was almost like he was waiting to see who his competition was before he committed. Reminds us of another noted profile in courage.

There is also the real question of elect-ability. Though Rossi was able to win on his second and third try for the State Senate, he’s not won at the statewide level. He has run for Governor twice.

Now in all fairness, he did actually win the 2004 election. This ended up being one of those famed Perkins Coie specials, where the Marxist-democrat law firm was able to manufacture enough votes (129) after Rossi was certified the winner, to overturn the election and steal the victory away. One can form their own thoughts about allowing someone to steal a victory this way, especially when it was this close, and the chicanery was so obvious.

Even though it was an obvious ripoff, four years later, in a rematch, Marxist-democrat Christine Gregoire beat Rossi 53 to 46 percent. Gregoire is one of the worst Governors in the nation and has destroyed the state, and yet ....

The bottom line is this. If we are to take back Congress, stop Obama from doing any more damage to our nation, and ultimately repair all of the destruction four years of the Marxist-democrat control of Congress, as well as Obama’s horrific agenda has done, we need bold leadership.

We need someone who isn’t afraid to grab the bull by the horns and take on any and all threats to Liberty and Freedom. We need someone who will work with everyone when it’s in the pursuit of improving our nation, but will stand up to those who would further usurp our Constitution, and oppress the people of this nation even more.

We need someone who will say enough is enough, and actually shrink government, not grow it. Someone who will fight for Liberty and Freedom every day he is on the job. Someone who believes in Common Sense Conservatism, the Constitution, and the Rule of Law. Someone who doesn’t feel the need to nuance or "moderate" his positions. We’ve had plenty of them in D.C. and they have been an absolute disaster. No need to send another one.

I submit that Clint Didier, farmer, businessman, championship football player and coach, and bold leader, is that man.

Levi Johnston Apologizes for Lying about Palins

Levi Johnston, according to People magazine, has demonstrated some maturity and apologized to the Palin family for the lies he told about them. I believe in giving credit where credit is due. As hard as I came down on Levi for his despicable behavior, I certainly want to commend him for manning up now and admitting that he was lying.

I have always said that there is hope for Levi and that he needs prayer. In spite of going from feeling sorry for him that he didn't have a role model in his life to direct him to being quite angry with what he was doing to the Palins, I have always envisioned that he would wake up at some point and see that the error of his ways had caused his beautiful son and him a world of hurt, and that he would apologize. In fact, less than three weeks ago, when news surfaced that Bristol and Levi were working on moving forward as parents--not romantic partners--I wrote (emphasis added):

Now, as late in the game as it is, he appears to have seen the error of his ways and wants to do right by his son. For Tripp's sake, that makes me extremely glad. In the spirit of wiping the slate clean, however, I hope he will make a public apology to the Palins. That, of course, would be a true lesson in repentance and humility, a lesson that would mean quite a bit to his son in the years to come.

So what did Levi say in that public apology? Eunice Oh and Sandra Sobieraj Westfall of People.com report the following:

"Last year, after Bristol and I broke up, I was unhappy and a little angry. Unfortunately, against my better judgment, I publicly said things about the Palins that were not completely true," [Levi] tells PEOPLE exclusively. "I have already privately apologized to Todd and Sarah. Since my statements were public, I owe it to the Palins to publicly apologize."

"So to the Palin family in general and to Sarah Palin in particular, please accept my regrets and forgive my youthful indiscretion," Johnston says in the statement. "I hope one day to restore your trust."

I wonder if members of the Lame Stream Media who, in their desperate unending obsession to find dirt on Governor Palin, were so very glad to have him tell his story to the world will run with this story and clear her name. I won't hold my breath, but perhaps some will surprise me. I wonder if the We Hate Sarah Palin Bloggers Club who harassed, slandered, accused me of inciting murder, threatened to call law enforcement on me, and promised to contact my employer when I wrote "Levi: When Lying Dogs Won't Sleep," will write that Levi confessed that he, in fact, had been lying. For Levi's own sake, Bristol's sake, and of course, the sake of their son, Tripp, I am very happy he did the right thing and confessed the truth. For Governor Palin, I am also glad, for she deserves much better than what the young man had thrown her way. I don't know Levi's heart or where his true motives rest. I do know, however, that he owed the Palin family a public apology. I'm glad he gave it.

As we celebrate the birth of our Republic, the greatest nation the world has ever known, I hope people will reflect on the founding. The fight to win Freedom and Liberty, at a time when tyranny was the norm, is the defining struggle for all of mankind.

Republican "Good Old Boys": Hey, Let’s Make Sarah Palin RNC Chairman!

You really have to laugh at these Republican establishment types. These "good old boy" characters couldn’t be more pathetic if they tried.

As you know, Michael Steele has once again opened mouth and inserted foot. Full disclosure, I like Michael Steele. I don’t have bad feelings for the guy. But he’s proven that being the Chairman of the RNC isn’t the best use of his talents. This latest flap is way overblown, however. He’s said worse.

Anyhow, this isn’t about bashing Michael Steele. Nope, this is all about exposing the pathetic milquetoast moderates and their silly notions.


With all of the calls for Steele to step down, the establishment seems to think they have an idea: Replace Steele with Sarah Palin. No, I’m serious here. Kevin D. Williams writing for National Review Online came up with this:

Re: Steele and the RNC: Allow me to chime in with my usual observation on this subject: This is a job for Sarah Palin. Palin would be a much better RNC chairman than presidential candidate or freelance kingmaker. She'd raise tons of money and help recruit good candidates, i.e., she'd excel at doing the things Steele should have been doing instead of appointing himself Republican pundit-at-large.

A Chairman Palin would help set the right tone for the Republican party without having to get herself entangled in the minutiae of policy-development, which has not been her forte. Sure, she'd be polarizing, but so is Barack Obama, and these are polarized times. And it's one thing to have a polarizing party chairman, another to have a polarizing candidate.

Anybody disagree?

Kevin, I think if you take time to look around, you'll see that pretty much EVERYONE disagrees with you pal. And not just with your idea of making Sarah Palin RNC chair, but your entire condescending, factually incorrect, backhanded complement filled drivel.

To take the anniversary of day that Sarah Palin literally changed history forever to insult our intelligence, and Sarah Palin, is simply breathtaking.

First of all, could you BE more obvious with your intentions here?

We all know what this little "suggestion" is all about. You beltway, establishment Republicans are looking for any way possible to get Sarah Palin out of the running for 2012, so as to pave the way for one of your show ponies, who have zero chance if (when) Sarah runs for President. Gotta keep the Big Government Republicans in power, even if it means running a show pony who can’t win against Obama.

All of you cats know exactly what Sarah Palin is capable of. You know good and well what she did to the corrupt establishment Republicans in Alaska, and you know what she would do once she was in the White House. Business as usual would come to a loud, grinding halt.

Now you are right about one thing, Sarah Palin can raise money like no one out there. That will come in handy for her in 2012, now won’t it? And you can bet there wouldn’t be any of your establishment type buddies out there on her watch, if she was RNC chair. She’s not perfect, but she’s got a rock solid record of picking winners, good solid Common Sense Conservatives, who actually believe in the Constitution and the Rule of Law. An unknown concept in D.C.

The thing is, neither she, nor the candidates she chooses to endorse, need the RNC as bad as the RNC needs them. The RNC has become so undependable, so establishment driven, and so timid, they are becoming an afterthought. Conservatives, the people that make up the bulk of the Republican base, now research candidates on their own, and send them money directly. Far less likely to see their money wasted on loser show ponies, or after hours parties.

Now you say that:

Could you make a bigger clown out of yourself?

I guess you’ve been too busy dreaming of mediocrity to go over to Facebook, Twitter, or check out her appearances on Fox News and Fox Business News, or listen to her speeches, most of which are readily available online at either Palin TV or The Right Scoop.

Maybe you should start with her latest red meat offering from her appearance in Norfolk, Virginia. This was a serious policy speech on national security and foreign policy. In it, Sarah lays out an aggressive agenda for not only national security and foreign policy, but Liberty, Freedom, and the American way. It’s not her first.

Next you embarrass yourself further:

Sure, she'd be polarizing, but so is Barack Obama, and these are polarized times. And it's one thing to have a polarizing party chairman, another to have a polarizing candidate.

You know who else was polarizing? Ronald Wilson Reagan.

Reagan was incredibly polarizing, especially to the country club, Rockefeller, establishment wing of the party. In fact, it’s quite telling that you guys are now using the same tired old play book you used on Reagan, to no avail, on Sarah Palin.

"Oh we like Reagan, but he’s kinda dumb, an ‘amiable dunce.’ He didn’t go to the right schools, you know."  ~ Country Club Republicans circa 1976-1988

It’s awfully big of you to note that Barack Obama is polarizing as well. This gives us a chance to point out that there are two kinds of polarizing. Barack Obama is the negative kind. He polarizes people against him and his Marxist agenda. In less than two short years, he’s managed to turn most of the Republic against him and his out of control Congress.

Barack Obama has polarized the nation in a way few could. He has Americans picking up the history books, and reading the Constitution again. He has people engaged in the political process like no time in recent history. The Republic is polarized against him, and working to defeat him and his radical agenda.

Ronald Reagan and Sarah Palin are cut from the same cloth. For the lack of a better term, they are "Field of Dreams" kind of leaders. They know if you stand for something, believe in something, and are a person of good character and virtue, people will beat a path to your door.


Like Reagan before her, Sarah knows you don’t moderate your message, or "move to the middle" in search of mythical "moderates" that don’t really exist. Instead, you build a solid agenda based on time honored principles. You build it, and the people will come.

When Ronald Reagan ran for President in 1980, he ran as an unabashed Conservative. He had strong positions on everything, and was thought of as incredibly polarizing. The thing is, people aren’t looking for someone who will tell them what they want to hear. They want a leader. They want someone that not only matches their values, but someone who will take a stand for those values, and never, ever backdown.

This really isn't polarizing, in the end, it's galvanizing. 

This is something you squishy country clubbers aren’t capable of grasping.

Reagan won back to back landslide victories running as an unabashed Conservative, with a proven record. He was able to galvanize the people, and turn the nation around by sticking to these principles,and leading with conviction.

Currently Sarah Palin is leading as an unapologetic Conservative. She’s a real fighter who never backs down, never gives any quarter. Never compromises on her principles just to curry favor from some here today, gone tomorrow faction.She too is galvanizing the nation, in her effort to save it.

Sarah Palin, like Regan,  has a proven record of not just talking the talk, but walking the walk. Her record is unmatched by anyone currently on the scene.

At the end of the day, after reading your incredibly insulting piece, I have to ask you this. You seem to think Sarah Palin isn’t smart enough to develop national policy, though for some reason you think she could develop a political strategy to win elections and raise money. (This is where you gave away your real intent BTW)

If Sarah is so bad, why haven’t you called for ... oh, I don’t know .... Mitt Romney ....  to come in and save the RNC?

I mean he’s supposed to be the big businessman, isn't he? He actually did turn around the Salt Lake City Olympics, saving them from disaster.

Why NOT Mitt Romney?.

As Romney is currently disengaged from the fight against tyranny and oppression, and unlike Sarah Palin, who is LEADING the battle, finds himself totally unencumbered by the responsibilities of saving our Republic, you’d think the guy would be the perfect choice.

Oh, I know he wasn’t all that impressive as Governor, and his endorsements aren’t worth much, especially when he waits until after they win their primary, and well, maybe we shouldn’t mention RomneyCare at all, but hey, the guy can raise money!

Much better to pick someone like Romney, and make him a clerk, than take the Commander-in-Chief off the battlefield and give Her the job, eh?

You know what? I have a much better idea. How about we just call up Ken Blackwell and ask him to take over? He’s the one who should have had the job all along.

Pray for Our Nation's Future As We Celebrate Her Birth!

Happy Fourth of July to all of our readers from the authors of Sarah's Web Brigade! We wish you a blessed day as we celebrate America's Independence Day.

As you go about the day's activities and festivities, please remember to pray for our country, that God will protect our nation from the forces without and within that seek to destroy her. We are living in a time when the very foundations of our Republic are being threatened, and it is up to us to engage in the battle to protect our freedoms.

That depends a lot on us, whether we will call out to our Creator as our forefathers did, and if we are willing to work, and fight, and vote for the freedoms our forefathers wrote into the founding documents.
