I have no problem linking to a hit piece on Sarah Palin because, when people see the negativity and see the garbage, good people will be repulsed by it. Those who feed into it should find another planet inhabited by negative idiots.

Every good hearted and good minded person in America should read this piece of toilet paper because people need to know how low scum really is. You will never get people to understand the truth unless you show them the ugly side. This is the ugly side.

Come on Palin army. Let's show these buttheads at the ADN what we think about them.

Man Up, Joe Scarborough: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

It seems as if the sharks over at MSNBC have finally managed to sink their liberal teeth into Joe Scarborough. In an opinion piece for Politico, Scarborough takes on Sarah Palin and calls for the GOP establishment to publicly confront the former Alaskan governor. Throughout the entire piece, it is hard to decipher if Scarborough is an establishment, RINO Republican or a liberal hack. Scarborough goes to great lengths in an attempt to discredit Palin, calling her a reality star and questioning how she has time to study up on policy when she has her show, book tour and family to raise. I, for one, find Scarborough's arguments not only demeaning, but sexist as well. Would Scarborough make the same accusations about a man? After all, our very own president was viewed as a rock star during the presidential campaign; furthermore, he spent more time campaigning for president than he did actually playing senator. Would it be fair to ask how he managed to spend time with his family and raise his daughters during this time period? While this is a minute segment of his opinion piece, it sheds light on just how how of touch the Washington establishment types are with modern-day Americans like you and me. Scarborough also touches on so-called sources that he has supposedly talked to about Palin's lack of experience and goes on to write:

What man or mouse with a fully functioning human brain and a résumé as thin as Palin’s would flirt with a presidential run? It makes the political biography of Barack Obama look more like Winston Churchill’s, despite the fact that the 44th president breezed into the Oval Office as little more than a glorified state senator.

Oh really Joe...hmmm. Oh how quickly people forget. Remember the whole 2008 presidential campaign? Remember that Sarah Palin was the only candidate in the running that had executive experience? Not only did she have executive experience, but she was the most popular governor in the country who, when tapped for VP, had an approval rating in the 80 percentile. As the governor of the largest state, she tackled the corruption in Alaska head on and helped to put her state on the map. Unlike many of Mr. Scarborough's establishment friends, whose parents left them large trust funds, Sarah started from the ground up, serving in the PTA, on the city council and as a mayor before becoming governor. Word to the wise, Mr. Scarborough: Perhaps it would help if you actually do a little research before throwing insults around, acting like you know it all when you clearly do not. There is such a thing as the internet and fact checking. Did they not teach you that over at MSNBC? Well, seeing that you do work for such a highly regarded network (not), this may very well be the case. Although Mr. Scarborough works for MSNBC, he was a member of the House not too many years back. Did you know that he resigned because he wanted to spend more time with his family? Funny how he is able to criticize someone for resigning when he did the very same thing. It sounds a lot like the pot calling the kettle black if you ask me.

Kathy Griffin Booed By Troops for Bristol Palin Joke; Bristol Responds

Kathy Griffin got a lesson in class from the military. I hope she took notes. While hosting "VH1 Divas Salute The Troops," the troops actually booed her when she made a fat joke about Bristol Palin.

Kathy Griffin hosted the VH1 Divas salute to the troops this weekend, but her “jokes” about Bristol Palin being “fat” fell flat.

"She's the only contestant in the history of the show to actually gain weight," Griffin said in reference to Bristol's trip to the finals on “Dancing With the Stars.”

Even after the troops' loud booing, Griffin continued the attack.

"No, come on, come on. She gained like 30 pounds a week, I swear to God, it was fantastic,” Griffin said. “She's like the white Precious."

But Palin, 20, isn’t letting 50-year-old Griffin’s digs bring her down.

“The audience's reaction to this ‘comedian’ spoke volumes, and the decent people I know would probably have booed her, too,” Palin told Pop Tarts in an exclusive statement. “I hope people didn't have to pay money to hear her negativity and criticisms.”

“Calling Bristol Palin fat is inappropriate and distasteful, even under the guise of humor,” body image expert and author of “Love Your Body Love Your Life,” Sarah Maria, told Pop Tarts. “The problem is that people, and particularly young people, easily absorb the ideas, beliefs, and attitudes that are presented to them. [It's a problem] when someone makes critical comments about someone else’s body and weight, beliefs such as ‘fat is a horrible thing,’ ‘I am no good unless I am thin.'"

And while Griffin strutted in a bikini in what she called her “starvation body,” the comedienne wasn’t always so willing to flaunt her figure.

Just last year, the “Suddenly Susan” star admitted that she fell prey to some serious body image issues while seeking out her “big break” in Hollywood. Not only did Griffin get a nose job at the age of 26 in an attempt to improve her appearance, in addition to liposuction that she claims almost killed her, she also reportedly exercised obsessively, starved herself during the day and binged at night.

Having experienced the pain and pressure of show business first-hand, might one think Griffin would be a little mores sensitive to such issues?

“It is quite surprising, given her own experience," Maria said. "One would hope that her own difficulties would awaken a sensitivity, understanding, and compassion regarding the difficulties of body weight and image in today’s culture."

Of course, this isn't the first swipe Griffin has taken at a Palin. She seems to be a bit obsessed, even stooping so low as to trespass the Palins' property, which she managed to do while palling around with Levi Johnston.

Perhaps with the help of being booed by our men and women in uniform, Kathy Griffin will get the not-so-subtle hint: no one is laughing at her mean-spirited--not to mention incorrect--assessment of Bristol's weight.

Governor Palin Shoots Down Anti-Hunting Hypocrisy

Governor Palin has been tweeting and Facebooking away about tonight's episode of "Sarah Palin's Alaska." Some on the Left never realized, apparently, that an animal had to be killed before eaten, just as they were appalled to learn that the halibut had to be caught and put to rest before we got to enjoy it. If the fish-clubbing episode drove them crazy--and it did--imagine the shape they'll be in after the Governor hunts and shoots tonight. It'll be fun to watch!

America By Heart Officially #2 on New York Times Hardcover Nonfiction Best Sellers List

Yesterday I reported that America By Heart, Governor Palin's recently-released book, was already a bestseller. I then received emails from some people--a.k.a. haters--who were truly disturbed by the news of more Palin success. They barely managed to recover from the incredible success of Going Rogue, so this continued fortune has them all wee-wee'd up.

Nonetheless, it's official. America By Heart debuted at #2 on The New York Times hardcover nonfiction Best Sellers list, behind President Bush's Decision Points. And while PDS sufferers tell themselves--so they can sleep at night--that bulk orders are responsible for this feat, not so. Ian Lazaran points out:

As you can see from the rankings, the NY Times did not place a dagger next to the book. What that means is that bookstores did not report receiving bulk orders. The Democrat Party is too stupid to recognize that the books that the Governor purchased for her PAC do not count in the overall sales for the purposes of the NY Times book rankings. Even liberal Taegan Goddard conceded this point. In other words, a politician can buy one million copies of his or her book for his or her PAC and it won't count towards his or her book sales.

That concession Lazaran refers to, made earlier this year, states the following:

Mitt Romney's No Apology tops the New York Times bestseller list this week. However, a "dagger" symbol next to the book signifies that "some bookstores report receiving bulk orders." Romney's book actually has two daggers.

In contrast, Sarah Palin's Going Rogue never received a dagger next to its listing while a top the bestseller list in week 1, week 2, week 3, week 4, week 5 or week 6.

Such is the case with the new book also. So another conspiracy theory bites the dust.

While those who oppose Governor Palin at every turn try to find some shady reasons for her success, I can save them some time. People are actually buying the book because they want to hear from her, because they recognize she has worthwhile experiences to share with this nation, and because, let's just face it, she's a great American.

AWR Hawkins: Governor Palin is "Already Running for President"

The first time I heard discussion about a Palin 2012 run for the presidency was November 5, 2008, the day after Barack Obama was elected to be the next President of the United States. The conversation has not since shifted. It has only intensified, it seems, with each passing day.

Like so many Americans, I immediately grabbed onto the idea of President Palin. I became involved in the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee, which is the only draft committee registered with the Federal Elections Commission. Some people gravitated to the Committee, while concerns were raised by others, the most repeated of which were "Do we really know if she wants to run?" and "It's too early to think about 2012."

It's amazing how quickly time flies, though, isn't it? The 2012 race is soon to get underway, and we realize that it wasn't really that far off after all. As for whether Governor Palin wants to run, well, that's been debated every single day since she returned to Alaska to resume her duties as governor and John McCain to Washington to pick up where he left off in the Senate. The subject is not about to change, either.

The conversation has gone back and forth with crazed rapidity. When the Governor resigned from office in July of 2009, some speculated she was going to run, and she was freeing herself up for that run. Others argued that after that controversial decision she couldn't possibly plan to run. Upon releasing Going Rogue, pundits just knew she was taking the opportunity to set her record straight so the road would be clear for a run for the highest office in the land. Other pundits said she wrote the book mainly with the hopes of exposing McCain staffers and media members who had done her wrong.

When she began to travel the nation giving policy speeches and meeting more Americans, some were convinced she was planning to run, that she was voicing a common sense message to which so many can relate and counting on that message to carry her forward. There were those, however, who said, no, she's having too much fun being a voice crying in the wilderness, so why would she put herself through the rigors of another merciless campaign?

She's definitely running, some said, when her PAC began releasing Mama Grizzly and Tea Party videos full of the faces and the fervor of a nation desperately desiring true change. Nonetheless, others maintained she was simply setting up public servants to take leadership roles as her PAC raised record money so conservatives could take back Washington. And with the emergence of "Sarah Palin's Alaska," observers have declared that the Governor is doing more than than just sharing her family and her state with America; she's showing us who she is, the upbringing she's had, and the state resources she is so ready to introduce to the nation at large--as President of this nation. Doubters, like Karl Rove, however, see the "reality show" as evidence that she could not possibly be seriously contemplating a run.

Obviously, the will she or won't she? question has been beaten to death as badly as Governor Palin beat that halibut in the second episode of "Sarah Palin's Alaska," and I'm not sure anyone truly knows the answer, except, as her friends and family in her home state say, "God and Todd." Today, however, AWR Hawkins, writing for Pajamas Media, gives a different take on it. He neither subscribes to the notion that she will run nor the notion that she won't run. His angle is this: she's already running.

Hawkins writes:

Questions about Sarah Palin’s future political plans are ubiquitous. From the left and the right, political pundits wonder aloud if she’s really thinking about running for the office of president in 2012. And depending on the pundit, the questions over whether she will run are usually tied to reasons why she should or shouldn’t.

But missing in all this guesswork over Palin’s intentions and the weighing of the pluses and minuses of her possible candidacy is the simple fact that she’s already running for president, and so far, she’s beating Obama and the mainstream media at every turn.

Counting her time on the national stage as a vice presidential candidate with John McCain, America has had over two years to watch Palin speak from the heart, while listening to Obama speak from a teleprompter. They’ve heard her relentless calls for a strong military, while watching Obama try to appease (instead of destroy) terrorists the world over. They’ve heard her defend the free market, while living with the ramifications of Obama’s stimulus package, nationalization of industry, and takeover of health care.

The American people have even seen a microcosm of a Palin-versus-Obama matchup via the 2010 midterm elections in which 30 of 43 of the House candidates she endorsed won, as did 7 of the 12 Senate candidates she supported. Moreover, those elections proved that while rank-and-file citizens largely support Palin’s worldview, they are rejecting Obama’s.

No wonder CBS News’ Nicolle Wallace said of Palin: “She is one of the shrewdest political figures in our country at this moment. She’s also one of the most electric.”

So while the pundits guess, stabbing blindly into the air in an attempt to come up with proof of whether Palin will or won’t run, the rest of us should just sit back and watch her go, because she’s running for the White House right now.

And if I had to place a bet on who wins in 2012, my money would be on Palin.

"America By Heart" Already a Bestseller

Governor Palin's book America By Heart is doing quite well. It's hard to imagine another book paralleling the success of Going Rogue, but it's definitely off to a good start. She tweets:

Bristol Palin: Mr. Olbermann--Sorry We Can't All Be As Perfect As You

Bristol Palin respectfully, but forcefully, took down "perfect" Keith Olbermann today. His decision to attack a 20 year old speaks volumes about how childish he is, and the manner in which she handled him speaks loud and clear about her level of maturity. On Facebook, Bristol writes:

Recently, a left wing commentator named Keith Olbermann attacked me for being a spokesperson for abstinence education and for being an Ambassador for the Candies Foundation, which promotes teen pregnancy awareness and prevention education. He went so far as to call me "the worst person" he knows, apparently, for my efforts to educate teenagers about the real world risks of premarital sex.

Accusing me of hypocrisy is by now, an old canard. What Mr. Olbermann lacks in originality he makes up for with insincere incredulity. Mr. Olbermann fails to understand that in order to have credibility as a spokesperson, it sometimes takes a person who has made mistakes. Parents warn their children about the mistakes they made so they are not repeated. Former gang members travel to schools to educate teenagers about the risks of gang life. Recovered addicts lecture to others about the risks of alcohol and drug abuse. And yes, a teen mother talks about the benefits of preventing teen pregnancy.

I have never claimed to be perfect. If that makes me the "worst person in the world" to Mr. Olbermann, then I must apologize for not being absolutely faultless like he undoubtedly must be.

To Mr. Olbermann let me say this: you can attack me all you want. But you will not stop me from getting my message out about teen pregnancy prevention. And one day, if you ever have a daughter, you may change your mind about me.

Hopefully Olbermann--radical far-Left loon that he is--has learned a thing or two. The logical thing for him to do now is acknowledge he was out of line and way off base, but I don't expect it. Who knows? Maybe he'll surprise me.

SarahPAC Raises Almost $500,000 in a Month, Over 3 Million This Year

SarahPAC, Governor Palin's political action committee, continues to raise an impressive amount of money as she does the necessary work of supporting conservatives around the nation.

After conversing with Tim Crawford, SarahPAC's treasurer, TIME reports:

Sarah Palin raised $469,000 between Oct. 13 and Nov. 22 bringing her total for the year to over $3 million, Tim Crawford, SarahPAC's treasurer, told TIME exclusively. Crawford attributed the surge of funds to energy surrounding the midterm elections, Palin's endorsements and her TLC reality show “Sarah Palin's Alaska.” Her second book, America By Heart, came out Nov. 23.

The PAC spent $64,000 buying advance copies of her books, “just as we did last year” with her first book, Going Rogue, Crawford said. “They're a great fundraising tool for us.” Palin is in the midst of a two-week cross-country book tour.

Overall the PAC spent $581,000 between Oct. 13 and Nov. 22. A larger percentage than normal was spent on contributions to political candidates, $244,000, as Palin tried to help her 81-endosed candidates over the Nov. 2 finish line. Fifty-five of them won.

All of the $469,000 was raised online or through direct mail. The former Alaska governor has had only two fundraisers for her PAC this year – the last one this past summer -- compared to Mitt Romney's nine. Crawford expects to file his report to the Federal Election Commission this afternoon.

Ian Lazaren reminds us:

These numbers are in addition to the $300,000 that she raised in the first half of October. It's great that she's on pace to match her numbers from last quarter during a time that is typically a dead period for PAC fundraising. Her numbers are even more impressive considering that she has pretty much done no fundraising.

Disingenuous Palin-Haters Insult American People

An article in the ADN today has this sentence beneath it: "Paul Jenkins is editor of the Anchorage Daily Planet." I suggest replacing that with this: "Paul Jenkins is a delusional Palin-hater." Despite his weak argument to the contrary, that's exactly what he is. And though we're most grateful for his definition of the term "hater," I really don't think any of us is in need of his help. We know one when we see one--and he fits the description.

In his article, designed to attack Bristol Palin for speaking out against people who have come against Governor Palin and herself, Jenkins expects the reader to believe that the obvious intense hatred for the Palin family is not hatred at all but healthy disagreement. The problem with that is none of us has just emerged from under a rock, totally oblivious to the ~~irrational~~ insane anti-Palin party that has been going on non-stop for two years.

Jenkins writes:

Bristol stumbled into the finals dead last.

"There's lots of haters out there that are waiting for me to fail," she said.

At the wrenching end of the weeks-long contest that captured America's imagination, she did fail. Bristol Palin finished a miserable third behind real talent on a TV show too many of us watched on the off chance her paranoid, delusional, wack-job mom would be, well, a paranoid, delusional wack-job.

It seems to me that "hater," used by the lovely Sarah P. as a blunt instrument on people she has issues with, is an ugly word. In fact, in the "Somalian-to-Norwegian Dictionary and Cooking Guide," a hater is defined as somebody who disagrees or questions Sarah Palin about virtually anything -- or who does not like lutefisk. There is even a picture of her and a pot of fish. I'm not kidding.

To the Palins, using the term immunizes them from criticism. You disagree, you're a hater; your opinion, your point of view, means nothing. That's too bad. Hiding behind "hater" is a childish, transparent and fearful self-defense gambit that signals intellectual weakness and a lack of backbone; an inability to defend an idea or principle. It insulates its user to end discourse. It forecloses on compromise, and labeling someone a "hater" is the first step in dismissing and, eventually, dehumanizing them. It's not me; it's you.

First things first. It is you, Paul.

Second, if Jenkins expects us to concede that "dead last" in a "DWTS" three-placement Finals is synonymous with failure, he's out of his mind and probably has never seriously competed for anything in his life. Enough said on that.

Now, Jenkins seeks to prove that there really aren't Palin-haters out there--just respectful, healthy people who express disagreement with the Palins. One need not look any further, however, than his own words to prove him wrong, as if there was any doubt. Referring to Governor Palin as a "paranoid, delusional, wack-job" won't get him very far in supporting his claims. He attributes the term "childish" to them while simultaneously choosing to write an article attacking a 20 year old mom who wanted nothing other than to dance. He accuses her mother of possessing "a lack of backbone," she who daily is insulted, harassed, and threatened by--dare I say?--haters like this character.

Stating that Governor Palin, her daughter, or their supporters, for that matter, throw the hater term out there all willy-nilly to innocent, well-meaning, honorable people who simply don't agree with them is disingenuous at best. No, it's a flat-out lie and an insult to everyone's intelligence. As a child, the elders in my life always said, "No one likes a liar." I have grown up to despise lies almost more than anything. I'd have more respect for this guy if he simply came right out and identified himself as a hater and was proud of it, rather than trying to convince the public that the Palins are imagining the onslaught of shameless filth they deal with on a regular basis.

Twisted people twist reality to suit their own agendas. Paul Jenkins asserts that the Palin family is imagining hate where none exists. Right. So we're all stupid, I guess. Has he never seen this depiction of the Governor as Hitler:

Or heard about death wishes from politicians after Ted Stevens died in a plane crash.

Or read about death threats against her.

Or been informed about the allegations of racism.

Or been briefed on the numerous attacks against her son, Trig, found on blogs to which I will not link.

The list really is endless, and surely Paul Jenkins knows it. His article is a seriously weak attempt to convince readers that what they know to be true isn't true at all. That's a key characteristic of a hater. They work overtime to make other people think they're crazy, when in fact they're the ones suffering derangement--in this case Palin Derangement Syndrome.

Another example of such was debunked by Andrew Breitbart today. Recently Governor Palin cooked the media's goose for blowing up a simple North/South Korea slip of the tongue. On Facebook she demonstrated that Barack Obama has made a plethora of gaffes, yet reporters never find it necessary to make a media frenzy out of it. Media Matters reported that the Governor was making a big deal out of nothing, that the media largely ignored this. However, count on Breitbart to break down the real deal:

Democratic Party front group Media Matters for America has published yet another attack on Republican Sarah Palin. This one a dishonest portrayal of media coverage of her recent slip of the tongue regarding the crisis on the Korean peninsula.

In a Thanksgiving Day message posted Nov. 25th on her Facebook page, Palin opened her post with a tongue in cheek send-up of President Barack Obama in which no fewer than ten of his verbal gaffes and misstatements were included and sourced.

Boehlert smears Palin, describing her as being nuts in some manner or form, “self-obsessed” and imagining things.

“Fox News’ Sarah Palin is now so consumed with every real or imagined media wrong against her that she’s to the point where she’s attacking the press for stuff they don’t even do.”

Even though Palin’s slip was reported in headlined stories by American and international wire services, as well as major news sites across America and around the globe, Boehlert claims “major American newspaper(s) did not turn the Palin/North Korea gaffe into a “major political headline,” did not treat it as news, and did not even mention it as news when it occurred.” Boehlert changes Palin’s assertion of major political headlines to major newspaper headlines, a sleight of hand that allows Boehlert to use Nexis to list major American news outlets that supposedly did not report on Palin’s slip:

Boehlert also claims broadcast media did not cover Palin’s slip:

“What other news outlets ignored Palin’s verbal gaffe when it occurred? All three major networks–ABC, CBS, and NBC–as well as CNN, Fox News, PBS and NPR.”

However, Boehlert fails to note the story exploded on major news sites on the Web within hours of Palin’s slip.

Boehlert also conveniently fails to note that the faux scandal was initiated by his fellow Media Matters writer Oliver Willis.

The piece goes on to name the numerous media outlets that reported on the slip of the tongue--and not just in America either. It was reported in China, Korea, New Zealand, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, and Australia. Read Andrew Breitbart's full piece on this here.

Media Matters and Paul Jenkins could learn a thing or two about the American people. We are not sheep led by people so consumed with their anti-Palin agenda that we'll believe everything they tell us. We're not that crazy. Instead, we're smart enough to trust what we see with our own eyes and what we hear with our own ears. And what we've been seeing and hearing are dishonest, disingenuous, and disgusting displays of Palin-hatred. No amount of twisting the facts will work to dull us to what is evident to all clear-headed people. We know better, for the truth is so obvious. Pointing fingers at the Palins is only an attempt to divert our attention from the truth. In fact, it actually shows these haters to be the childish, intellectually weak souls Jenkins tries to make the Palins out to be.

Latest ADN PDS Rant an Epic Fail!!! A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

The PDS, liberal infested Anchorage Daily News is at it again. While trashing Sarah Palin is a regular occurrence over at this liberal news rag, they have set their sick, twisted sights on attacking her 20-year-old daughter, Bristol. The ADN has published a piece by Paul Jenkins, editor of the Anchorage Daily Planet. Jenkins has written a hate-filled piece criticizing Bristol for having the nerve to defend her mother and herself against the "haters" during her time as a contestant on ABC's Dancing with the Stars. Get this: It seems as if Jenkins' main beef with Bristol stems from the fact that Bristol called out those who have attacked her and her mom. Oh, how scandalous:

In the Palins' strange world, haters lurk always just in the shadows, enemies of all that is decent. They are out to sink Bristol's boat, to make her mother's struggling television show even more boring than it is -- the high point so far was Bristol's aggravated battery on a halibut -- and to sideline mom's political aspirations, and not necessarily in that order. (As a matter of full disclosure, I have a "Haters" T-shirt and am wearing it as I write this, but I know haters, and I'm no hater. It takes too much energy. I'm more of a cranky disliker.)

It is clear that the only delusional person here is the author of this ridiculous piece. Last I checked, DWTS had its highest ratings ever AND Sarah Palin's Alaska was the most-watched series premiere in TLC's history.
I guess Jenkins thinks outdoor lovers like the Palins are just a boring bunch of losers. I'd hate to think how he would describe himself. After all, what kind of a person would admit to wearing a "Haters" t-shirt? That's almost as bad as someone waking around with the word "loser" on his forehead, but I am not putting it past someone of Jenkins' caliber to do something like that either.

It is apparent that Jenkins needs to get a life. Did it ever occur to him that the Palin family are loved and adored by many? I find it ironic that as the mainstream, lamestream media find their readership numbers on the verge of nonexistent, the more the Palin family is finding continued success. This illustrates just how powerful this family is. It is apparent that Jenkins is jealous as is the case with so many Palin-family haters. Instead of writing about something newsworthy, Jenkins wasted perfectly good newspaper space to attack a young woman who never so much as looked in his direction. Yet, this how the typical PDS -infected folks seem to lead their lives now-a-days. Jenkins continues his rant:

Palin's persistent use of the term now has been embraced by her daughter. For Bristol, one can only hope such insanity will pass; that she will see her life should be more than hating haters; that sometimes our worst enemies can be our best friends; that not all critics deserve "a big middle finger." But for the lovely Sarah P., a woman toying with the notion of being president of the United States, it may be too late.

Her world is very black and very white. I just hate that.

If Mr. Jenkins had any class whatsoever, he would have realized a long time ago that the Palins don't give a darn about the media and what they think. Bristol Palin is a strong, fierce, determined young woman who will do great things during her lifetime- no doubt about it. I think it is time for Mr. Jenkins and his PDS-deranged friends to find a better way to spend their time. After all, last time I checked, it is Christmastime, a time for giving. I suggest Mr. Jenkins repay the crappy ADN for publishing his piece by going out there and getting them a few more readers. Good luck finding those readers. Note to the ADN subscriber department: I have a feeling people will be too busy watching Sarah Palin's Alaska to answer the door or pick up the phone.

GOP Establishment Will Help Palin Make Her Decision

If you have some time, please listen to my rant on my BlogTalk Radio program from Wednesday night. But more importantly, even if you don't have the time (like I did, brushing my teeth, making breakfast), listen to Tammy Bruce's interview with Sarah Palin (below). The keys to the connection between Palin, the hating left, the plotting GOP Establishment, the media, the feminist movement and her loyal followers are contained within that interview. Yet, the super sleuths at all the mainstream media outlets completely missed it while they were too busy focusing on an insignificant misstep when Palin accidently said North Korea when she meant to say South Korea.

Governor Palin told Tammy Bruce:

If within the hierarchy (again those self proclaimed movers and shakers and the pickers of the winners and losers in a political primary especially ), if they keep making it so difficult on good average Americans with some commonsense solutions - if they make it so difficult, virtually imposssible to run for office - that's going to be the death of the GOP. They need to wake up and realize that. It's going to keep good people from running for office.

They're not going to get me to sit down and shut up. If I believe its the right thing to do in running for president I am going to do so. But, these GOPers (who think that they have their thumb on the pulse of America and they're going to tell us instead of allowing competition that can breed success), if they're going to tell us who it is that can surface as an ideal candidate through a primary without letting the process work, then they're going to keep some really good people from running.

Tammy Bruce had the perfect question:

If they're afraid of you, Governor, how in God's name can they run the United States of America and face the evil bullies that are out their in the world? If they can't handle you, Governor, how can we allow them to take this nation?

Sarah Palin referred to anonymous sources in giving Tammy's perfect question, the perfect answer:

You guys are going to cure the world's economic woes and [take] on these dictators who want to destroy us and our allies, but you can't put your name behind criticisms against somebody who's trying to do the right thing. If you can't put your name on criticism. It's a wimpy wimpy thing that they're doing.

It is an exremely newsworthy and interesting exchange which starts at the 6:00 minute mark.

Palin and Bruce went on to talk about how people reveal themselves by the way they react to Palin. Sarah reacted to how politicians react to her by saying politicians talk out of both sides of their mouth. "Man this is why I really don't like politicians," she told Tammy. "It reveals who they really are."

The GOP Establishment is making the same mistake that the liberals have been making for two years now. They are manifesting their own monster. The more they try to stop her, the more it will motivate her and the stronger it will make her. They only push her closer to running for president the more they try to attack her. The more they do this, the more it demonstrates to Palin and those of us in the conservative movement that there is a problem within the GOP Establishment. They try to discredit her at their own peril.

Governor Palin Cooks the Media's Goose for Thanksgiving

I'm glad Governor Palin addressed this issue. I just think it's a pity she had to. This is where Palin Derangement Syndrome has taken us. A slip of the tongue becomes big-time news when the slip was made by someone named Palin. The salivating, rabid reprobates (i.e., the media) cannot even be internally honest enough to admit even to themselves that the Governor simply misspoke, as we all do from time to time. Instead, they pretend that she doesn't know the difference between North and South Korea. No matter that her previous conversations show that she, of course, not only knows the difference, but is well aware of the issues at play. All truth is sold out for a cheap gotcha moment. Meanwhile, President Obama or then-candidate Obama can make gaffe after gaffe without hardly a word from the lamestream media. Such hypocrisy. This is precisely why people are fed up with politics--from both sides of the aisle.

Governor Palin puts this issue in its proper perspective in her Facebook note, "A Thanksgiving Message to All 57 States":

My fellow Americans in all 57 states, the time has changed for come. With our country founded more than 20 centuries ago, we have much to celebrate – from the FBI’s 100 days to the reforms that bring greater inefficiencies to our health care system. We know that countries like Europe are willing to stand with us in our fight to halt the rise of privacy, and Israel is a strong friend of Israel’s. And let’s face it, everybody knows that it makes no sense that you send a kid to the emergency room for a treatable illness like asthma and they end up taking up a hospital bed. It costs, when, if you, they just gave, you gave them treatment early, and they got some treatment, and ah, a breathalyzer, or an inhalator. I mean, not a breathalyzer, ah, I don’t know what the term is in Austrian for that…

Of course, the paragraph above is based on a series of misstatements and verbal gaffes made by Barack Obama (I didn’t have enough time to do one for Joe Biden). YouTube links are provided just in case you doubt the accuracy of these all too human slips-of-the-tongue. If you can’t remember hearing about them, that’s because for the most part the media didn’t consider them newsworthy. I have no complaint about that. Everybody makes the occasional verbal gaffe – even news anchors.

Obviously, I would have been even more impressed if the media showed some consistency on this issue. Unfortunately, it seems they couldn’t resist the temptation to turn a simple one word slip-of-the-tongue of mine into a major political headline. The one word slip occurred yesterday during one of my seven back-to-back interviews wherein I was privileged to speak to the American public about the important, world-changing issues before us.

If the media had bothered to actually listen to all of my remarks on Glenn Beck’s radio show, they would have noticed that I refer to South Korea as our ally throughout, that I corrected myself seconds after my slip-of-the-tongue, and that I made it abundantly clear that pressure should be put on China to restrict energy exports to the North Korean regime. The media could even have done due diligence and checked my previous statements on the subject, which have always been consistent, and in fact even ahead of the curve. But why let the facts get in the way of a good story? (And for that matter, why not just make up stories out of thin air – like the totally false hard news story which has run for three days now reporting that I lobbied the producers of “Dancing with the Stars” to cast a former Senate candidate on their show. That lie is further clear proof that the media completely makes things up without doing even rudimentary fact-checking.)

“Hope springs eternal” as the poet says. Let’s hope that perhaps, just maybe, they might get it right next time. When we the people are effective in holding America’s free press accountable for responsible and truthful reporting, then we shall all have even more to be thankful for!

Richard Cohen's Race Baiting Attack on Governor Palin; UPDATED

Governor Palin's new book, America By Heart, hit bookstores yesterday, and already the far-Left crap has hit the fan. Richard Cohen of the The Washington Post, who himself has been accused of inappropriate, anti-semitic, and sexist behavior, has chosen to point his finger at Governor Palin in what surely appears to be an accusation of racism. He who shows little regard for the United States Constitution seems to lack a basic understanding of the country he calls home as he seeks to attack her because she would dare criticize Michelle Obama for saying, during the 2008 campaign, that for the first time in her adult life she was proud of her country. Somehow that criticism makes her a racist in the eyes of race baiters like Cohen. In his article, "Palin needs a history lesson," he writes:

Sarah Palin teases that she might run for president. But she is unqualified - not just in the (let me count the) usual ways, but because she does not know the country. She could not be the president of black America nor of Hispanic America. She knows more about grizzlies than she does about African Americans - and she clearly has more interest in the former than the latter.

His ridiculously asinine and ill-informed assessment of Governor Palin's qualifications aside, Mr. Cohen's failure to understand America is both embarrassing and insulting. Granted, I'm no history expert, but the last time I checked there wasn't one America for Blacks, one for Hispanics, one for Whites, and so on. There is, however, the United States of America, a place that is the envy of the world, where those who are blessed to live here have the opportunity to work, prosper, and thrive. That's the America I see and the America Governor Palin sees. Clearly, it is not the America Richard Cohen sees. From his perspective, America is divided into sections of people based on race, and because he sees the world in this way, he expects others, namely Governor Palin, to see it as such and to walk around with a negative view of this country. Not going to happen.

Noel Sheppard of NewsBusters backs me up in this. He offers the following:

And therein really lies the problem in the liberal media. Folks like Cohen and his ilk still see many Americas all divided by race and ethnicity.

This divide will only disappear when the Cohens of this world see America as one and stop using race as a political tool.

Sadly, I don't expect that will happen in my lifetime. How about you?

No, I don't expect such a change in my lifetime, either. Too much is at stake--for the Left, that is. If they actually stop race baiting and working the victimhood approach, they might actually have to deal with the issues and face the facts. That would totally isolate them from the vast majority of Americans who love their country and are tired of hearing people apologize for it.

As America By Heart just came out yesterday, I am not yet able to speak on the entire book; however, my understanding is that Governor Palin does discuss the Founders, slavery, and racism. Also, Jedediah Bila's review states that Governor Palin includes inspirational words from such people as Booker T. Washington and Martin Luther King. Nonetheless, she gets criticized for using so-called racially charged language because, as we saw during the campaign, questioning the Obamas' association with Reverend Wright or Mrs. Obama's suspect comments about America are off-limits. The lyrics, "Can't Touch This" come to mind.

I'll be the first to state that America is not perfect. We have made huge mistakes in the past; my ancestors could attest to that truth. However, who can deny that America has indeed been a shining city on a hill, a land of opportunity, and a force for good in this world? Just two years ago America voted for the first half-Black president, this in spite of his gross lack of experience, radical associations, and relative anonymity. I'd like to ask Cohen which America he believes voted for Obama. Was it Black America? Was it Hispanic America? Could it have been White America? Which America is President Obama presiding over? Since he imagines more than one, I reckon he has answers to such questions.

See, people like Cohen habitually zero in on race and the mistakes of the past and exploit them. He enjoys and cultivates the culture of victimhood that is the brand of the Left. Anyone who deviates from that mindset, who dares to believe the best in America, who dares to even live in the present where race is concerned, is somehow racist, unaware, or both.

While Michelle Obama's words should be mind-boggling to anyone who lives in this country or has benefitted from the benevolence of this country, they surely have no place coming from someone who is a part of a campaign to lead this country. Nonetheless, he chooses to defend her because--imagine this--she is the descendant of slaves. Huh?

He writes:

It's appalling that Palin and too many others fail to understand that fact - indeed so many facts of American history. They don't offer the slightest hint that they can appreciate the history of the Obama family and that in Michelle's case, her ancestors were slaves - Jim Robinson of South Carolina, her paternal great-great grandfather, being one. Even after they were freed they were consigned to peonage, second-class citizens, forbidden to vote in much of the South, dissuaded from doing so in some of the North, relegated to separate schools, restaurants, churches, hotels, waiting rooms of train stations, the back of the bus, the other side of the tracks, the mortuary, the cemetery and, if whites could manage it, heaven itself.

It was the government that oppressed blacks, enforcing the laws that imprisoned them and hanged them for crimes grave and trivial, whipped them if they bolted for freedom and, in the Civil War, massacred them if they were captured fighting for the North. And yet if African Americans hesitate in embracing the mythical wonderfulness of America, they are accused of racism - of having the gall to know more about their own experience and history than Palin and others think they should.

I could honestly puke at what Cohen attempts to do here. My ancestors also were slaves. I descend from the family of Harriet (Ross) Tubman, a fact that I hold in high regard. Believe me, I am not one to forget where we came from, but the awareness that I carry involves as much a pride of how far we've come as it does where we've been. Michelle Obama received Princeton and Harvard educations and was living the good life, even before her husband was nominated to run for the presidency. Would Cohen have us believe that America was not good to her?

Cohen's comments truly speak to where he stands in his view of this country. He mentions the "mythical wonderfulness of America." Mythical, really? He makes the accusation that Blacks are deemed racist if they don't subscribe to that mythicism. Interesting, because I don't hear that. I didn't hear Governor Palin call Michelle Obama a racist at all. Actually, what I hear is Cohen calling someone racist for refusing to deny the wonderfulness of America. So Governor Palin is supposed to apologize for being proud of her country? In Cohen's warped mind, such patriotic pride disqualifies her for the presidency.

Even more interesting, he comes to Michelle Obama's defense at the start of his article by stating she wasn't really saying what Governor Palin criticized her for saying, but then he goes on to agree with what most of us heard her say--that America has not been a very good place. If Mrs. Obama didn't mean to say that, why then does Cohen defend that position?

Richard Cohen ends his article this way:

Did she [Governor Palin] ask about her [Michelle Obama] background? What it was like at Princeton? What it was like for her parents or her grandparents? I can offer a hint. If they were driving to Washington, they slowed down and stopped where the sign said "colored" - and the irritated Palins of the time angrily hit the horn and went on their way.

I read this to say: the nerve of Governor Palin not checking up on poor Michelle Obama to ask how bad things were at her Ivy League institution in this horrible country. And the nerve of her not asking about her ancestors. Even more, the nerve of Governor Palin not being born "colored." How dare she be born White. Apology required, lady, or no presidency for you, at least no presidency of Black or Hispanic America. Now, where those two places are located, I don't know, but apparently Richard Cohen does.

Here's the end of the matter: Governor Palin is an American and proud of it. She does not believe in apologizing to our enemies or to ourselves. She believes in American exceptionalism and that here, in the greatest country on the face of the Earth, the same principles and policies benefit all Americans regardless of race or gender. She does not embrace different sets of beliefs for different sections and categories of Americans. Whereas the Left always sees things in terms of black and white, Governor Palin truly doesn't. They deem this a problem because they want the division, they rely on it, and they promote it.

On the contrary, the Governor believes that we can progress as we elect leaders who are committed to moving America forward by embracing common sense conservative policies that benefit all. And those who put themselves in position to represent this country ought to unapologetically believe the same. If they appear not to, they risk getting called out, and they should be. Governor Palin is not afraid to do just that. This ought to go without saying, but I'll say it once again anyway: this fearlessness doesn't make Governor Palin a racist. It makes her an American, and a proud one at that.

Congratulations, Bristol Palin; Mission Accomplished

Bristol Palin entered the Dancing with the Stars studio with these goals in mind:

1. Get out of her comfort zone
2. Have fun

Mission accomplished--and then some. Her improvement over these last several weeks is obvious. Judges spoke time and time again of her impeccable form and footwork. They encouraged her to let go more, and we beheld her do that as well. This was not by accident; this was the result of hard work, determination, and a relentless commitment to progress. Bristol has come a long way, and we had the privilege of watching it all and cheering her on.

When she took on this adventure, Bristol readily admitted that she had done no more dancing than that which a mom does with her son when no one else is watching. However, when contacted by DWTS, Bristol didn't let her inexperience get in the way. In true Palin fashion, she chose to tackle this new challenge with which she was presented and to do it with everything within her. I don't know if Bristol realized the impact that stepping out--literally--would have, but immediately people rallied around her and were very much engaged in her new endeavor. This is evident on Facebook, for as soon as she started her official page, her Facebook friends blew up, as the saying goes. She reached 1,000 in just one day, 5,000 in a week, and the growth continues. She currently has nearly 27,000 in such a short amount of time.

Bristol's ability to exchange "mourning for dancing," as Governor Palin reminds us, should be a lesson to each of us. Her appearance on the show did more than electrify fans. It inspired a multitude. While the number of people who follow her on Facebook does speak to the celebrity Bristol has, various comments I've read there are what speak to the impact she's having on the lives of people. Both men and women are applauding her growth as a person and the perseverence she personifies. Not everyone can come through what Bristol has come through with such class, grace, and influence. As a teenager, she became a mom. She faced her responsibility and brought her son into the world. She finished school, worked hard, and committed herself to putting Tripp first. This journey wasn't without mistakes, heartbreaks, or sacrifices, but she entered this season with faith, hope, and a steely spine--not just the DWTS season either. I'm talking about this new season of her life. This is where people find inspiration in her.

As if DWTS wasn't challenge enough, Bristol simultaneously took on the added challenge of traveling to share her testimony and the message of abstinence she has embraced. She spoke at Lifehouse in Louisville, the Tulare-Kings Right to Life in Visalia, and the Perry Center in Fargo. She has found her own voice and has literally matured before America's eyes, and it's only the beginning for her. As her mother, Governor Palin, would say, "The world is her oyster" as she moves forward.

Dancing is a metaphor for life, and in just a few weeks, Bristol has lived it before us:

You're faced with a challenge, so you put one foot in front of the other. It may be new, but each step leads to another--and you learn along the way. It may be uncomfortable, but you give yourself to someone you trust to lead you--and you find out that there was more to you than even you knew. Your routine gets judged, but you take the criticism, some of it unfair and inconsistent, but you go back to the practices, the sweat, the discipline--and you come back again for more. The music ends all too soon--and yet you walk away secure in the knowledge that you did what you set out to do. You got out of your comfort zone, you had a blast, and you even did something you hadn't bargained for: you made a whole lot of people feel like they were dancing right along with you.

Tonight's third place finish is certainly not the end for Bristol. The greatest adventures of life are ahead of her still. She'll continue to embrace new challenges, grow as an individual, and share a message of faith, life, and hope--and she'll do it with the support of people who, while watching someone become her best self, have found the strength to become their best selves.

Stepping out never comes without haters, and there have been many along the way trying to derail Bristol's efforts. We can learn much from her philosophy, however--the same philosophy she shared with her parents when they reminded her of the criticism she was sure to face: "People are going to criticize anyway, so I might as well dance." Dance she did, and in so doing, the numbers of people she inspired far outweighed the numbers of haters.

Bristol Palin's Dancing with the Stars adventure ended, but if this chapter had to come to a close, if tonight's dance was her last televised dance, what better way to go out than having the courage to step out of her comfort zone the last few weeks--once in a monkey suit, no less--and have the time of her life? These were her goals after all, were they not?

Yes, mission accomplished. Congratulations, Bristol Palin!

Governor Palin penned the following letter to The Wall Street Journal editor:

While on a United Airlines flight from New York City to Los Angeles this week, a fellow passenger handed me a copy of the The Wall Street Journal Nov. 15 op-ed by Alan Blinder—"In Defense of Ben Bernanke"—and suggested that I write a letter to the editor if I disagreed with the Princeton University professor's claims. Having read the piece, I told the passenger over my shoulder, "You bet I will."

Prof. Blinder seems blind to the clear and present dangers of QE2. Instead of seriously discussing these dangers, he takes us on an excursion to a Keynesian utopia, a mythical land in which endless government spending is an amazingly effective job creator and investors' confidence in U.S. Treasury bonds somehow increases as we sink ever deeper into debt while the Fed has its printing presses working overtime.

Here are some cold, hard facts from the real world: The first is the 8.7% 2012 unemployment rate predicted by the Survey of Professional Forecasters of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. It seems the Obama administration's record spending binge won't result in job creation, but in unacceptably high long-term unemployment. The second fact is that long-term interest rates have actually gone up following the Fed's recent QE2 announcement. The markets took one look at the Fed's pump-priming plans and decided they had to increase interest rates—probably in order to compensate for the expected rise in inflation.

None of this should come as a surprise. Blinders off, common sense engaged, it's time for us to "refudiate" the notion that this dangerous experiment in printing $600 billion out of thin air, with nothing to back it up, will magically fix economic problems that were caused in large part by the government's interfering with our free market system in the first place, and then made worse by the government's reckless spending experiments with our children's fiscal future. Instead of the tired, old Keynesian ideas behind Obamanomics, we need to turn to time-tested practices that are pro-free market rather than pro-big government. Some call this "free-market populism." It's based on the realization that the best way to get the economy moving again is to get government out of the way, let the free market dictate winners and losers, and allow the private sector to grow our economy one job, one paycheck and one American dream at a time. It's the only way we can restore much needed confidence and certainty in our economy. This is the only way we will all be able to soar from New York to Los Angeles and throughout the heartland.

Governor Palin Believes She Can Beat President Obama

In a Barbara Walters special, "Barbara Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People," set to air on December 9th at 10 p.m., Governor Palin discusses considering a run for the presidency. When asked if she felt she could defeat President Obama, the Governor didn't hesitate. Mary Bruce reports:

Sarah Palin says she is seriously considering a run for the White House, and she believes she could beat President Obama in 2012, the former Alaska governor told ABC News' Barbara Walters.

"I'm looking at the lay of the land now, and ... trying to figure that out, if it's a good thing for the country, for the discourse, for my family, if it's a good thing," Palin said in an interview scheduled to air in full Dec. 9 on ABC as part of Walters' "10 Most Fascinating People" of 2010.

Asked Walters: "If you ran for president, could you beat Barack Obama?"

"I believe so," Palin said.

When Dealing With the Media in Rome...

One used to wonder what the crowd reaction in ancient Rome would have been if the Christians beat the lions, especially given how their media was so biased against the Christians. But, we found out how that would have gone Sunday night when 5 million people cheered for Sarah Palin’s Alaska while the rest of the media was still in shock that she would even dare step into the arena. Despite all the media hits leading up to the airing of the show, the lions never stood a chance.

Renee James at the Daily Caller takes on the modern media by using Parker – Spitzer and Sarah Palin’s Alaska as examples of what’s wrong with the media when people who should supposedly “fade out of the national consciousness” are given a forum from which “you can’t be missed if you never go away.”

A commenter, goldie, stands up for Sarah Palin and calls James’ column “boneheaded.” Yes it is boneheaded to use a piece like that to criticize Palin especially since James is making a more valid point about the game rather than the player. She starts from a good point, but just doesn’t go into why it is that way or why she uses Palin as her example.

There is one cynical point that will always saddle this blogger’s otherwise positive forward looking nature: we are an American Idol society. It is not the dealer, but rather the user who is driving up the demand for this kind of media drug.

The American people are resilient. They respond to adversity well. They help their fellow man. They desire the best for their families and friends. But if there is one thing that will cause me to stumble into the room of intellectual elitism, if only but briefly, it’s that the American people are dumb as stumps when it comes to what they watch on TV.

We can take down kings, kaisers, communists, emperors and fuehrers. We can build the best products. We are faithful – we go to church and believe in God. We join hands during times of national emergencies. But put us in front of a television set and it’s moron time at the zoo.

Many would rather be immersed in the fantasies of daytime soap operas than dealing with the realities of their own problems. They escape by watching movies where buildings blow up and people are covered in soot and blood, but quickly forget the reality of what happened on 9/11.

Maybe they’re just watching the wrong “reality.” There’s nothing wrong with reality TV. I love watching sports. The competition is real. I watch the news. The news is real. I watch the weather. The weather is real. Americans can call what they watch reality TV, but what they’re watching is really fantasy TV. They’d rather be on the Jersey Shore than in Sarah Palin’s Alaska. That’s the problem.

More young people today get their news from Stephen Colbert than they do from regular news outlets. They get their opinions of celebrities and politicians through tabloids and from the late night talk shows more so than by actually meeting or seeing them in person, researching them properly or even seeing them as real people rather than the personas that the media try to portray them as.

Getting back to the American Idol society, it’s important to note with no cynicism pushed aside, that reality is reality. Wishing that everyone would stop feeding their brains this junk won’t make it go away. Just being critical or judgmental will not solve the problem. The only way to solve the problem is to infiltrate it and let some of what our side has to say seep in. As long as we walk the earth, we will always have to breathe its air. Let’s start making it smell better.

Since we cannot end the American appetite for mind numbing TV then let’s at least take a look at what is being served and see if we can’t offer something better. We forget that what’s in the idiot box IV bag that feeds the mental bloodstream is not the harmless saline solution it may look like. When taken directly from screen to brain, the concoction of sexualization, glorification of violence and caricaturing of personas and values that results in our passive submission to the views fed to us by a mostly a liberal medium leads us to do and think stupid things – like telling people that Sarah Palin is dumb because we believe she said she can see Russia from her house or voting for Obama because we think he’ll govern as a moderate.

Junk in will always equals junk out. Just as you are what you eat, you are also what you put into your brain. With thousands of channels (it used to be 13, and we all know what Roger Waters wrote about those in the Pink Floyd song “Nobody Home”), there is so much out there to infiltrate the mind. We just need to get more of a market share.

It needs to be explained to Renee James that Sarah Palin’s Alaska exists because of shows like Parker – Spitzer. When Kathy Griffin goes on the rubber chicken circuit to poke fun at the Palins and to talk about Levi’s Johnston, it makes more sense why Bristol Palin is on Dancing With the Stars. Complain all you want about how you hate sword fighting, but don’t use the Palins as an example for your argument if all they’re doing is pulling out their swords to take on an enemy that has already unsheathed.

James complains about the media culture by rebuking its players. But she misses it by not understanding a game that will not go away just because she or anyone else says so. Constructive engagement is the only way to tame it.

Palin's use of the media to reach out to the pop culture and to non-traditional news viewers is as easy to understand as the damage that was done by the late night talk shows and Tina Fey. It also helps to offset the left wing media's caricature of her as shallow. Shallow people don't do all the work that Sarah Palin has done. In a nutshell, Palin's appearances on Fox News, radio shows like Bob and Mark and in her documentary Sarah Palin's Alaska (as well as Bristol's appearances on Dancing With the Stars) is her way of telling the left wing culture taste my nightstick!

It is befitting our American Idol society that Bristol Palin goes on Dancing With the Stars. It is befitting that the writer of a Conde Naste hit piece gets abused on Palin’s show. Regardless of what you think of Renee James’s complaint, the existential fact remains. It’s just a game. All we can do is play.

So when in Rome, do as the Romans do. Just be better at it than they are if you want to win.

For "Mean Girls" Like Lisa Murkowski, Everything's Personal: A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice

In her latest interview, liberal leaning, mainstream media journalist and anchor Katie Couric spoke with Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska who, after losing a bitter primary battle to Joe Miller, launched a write-in campaign in an attempt to remain one of Alaska's senators. In her interview with Couric, Murkowski remarked that she does not feel Sarah Palin has the "leadership qualities" and "intellectual curiosity" to develop "great policy." She also said, "You know, she was my governor for two years there, and I don't think she liked to get down into the policy." Really, Lisa? Is that the best you can do? It is clear that Sarah and Lisa have always had a not-so-friendly relationship. Even though Sarah is known for working across the aisle and being a successful governor, Lisa does not seem to realize this. Maybe it is because Lisa has held a grudge against Sarah ever sense Sarah defeated her father for the Alaska governorship. It is clear that Lisa still has not gotten over her father's defeat. While losing a hard-fought election can be very difficult, most people learn that it is best to move on and let bygones be bygones in order to work together with the party for the common good on behalf of the people. Although this is a lesson most people learn, it is clear Lisa Murkowski has never learned, or maybe never was taught, this important lesson. We see this in the way she has treated and spoken about Sarah. I believe this has to do with the fact that she and Sarah are two different individuals who, while both Alaskans, have lived very different lives. On one hand, we have Sarah Palin, who rose from humble beginnings and worked her way up, learning nothing ever comes without hard work and dedication. Her phenomenal parents, whom I had the privilege to spend time with last summer in Alaska, taught her the value of hard work and determination. Sarah began by serving in the PTA, then the city council, then as the mayor of Wasilla, and finally as Alaska's first female governor. This is vastly different than Lisa's political journey. When her dad was governor, he appointed his daughter, Lisa, a lawyer who had served in the AK State House, to the Senate. You may remember some of this twisted tale from Sarah's discussion of it in her best-selling book Going Rogue: An American Life. Apparently, when Governor Frank Murkowski called Sarah into his office to interview her for the open Senate seat, he asked if she would be up to the job because she was a mother with young children. Given that this assertion in itself was ridiculous, what was even more ridiculous was that, in the end, Frank Murkowski ended up appointing his daughter, who, in fact, had young children of her own. The rest, as they say, is history. To her credit, Lisa was re-elected by the people after being appointed and has been a Senator ever since.

I am not writing this blog to question Lisa Murkowski's fitness to be a senator. I do not take issue on her fitness for office, for it is clear that she is qualified just as Sarah is more than qualified to hold any political office she desires to hold. What I do take issue with is the statements she has made and continues to make against fellow Republicans like Sarah, Joe Miller (Remember how she questioned his fitness for holding the job of Senator?) and most recently what she said about Jim DeMint, telling POLITICO:

"I think some Republicans in the Congress feel pretty strongly that he and his actions potentially cost us the majority by encouraging candidates that ended up not being electable.... I think there's some folks that feel that DeMint's actions didn't necessarily help the Republican majority.... So the real question is, what's his desire? Does he want to help the Republican majority , or is he on his own agenda, his own initiative?"

What I would like to know is who or what gives Lisa Murkowski the authority to make such comments? Last I checked, she had to resort to running a write-in campaign after Joe Miller, whom Jim DeMint endorsed, beat her fair and square in the primary. It is clear that Lisa Murkowski has this all-about-me complex in that the seat she hold belongs to her, when in reality, it is the people's seat. While it appears that she may end up retaining it when all the write-in votes are counted, it is clear that Lisa Murkowski is a woman who seems to view herself as an entitled individual who can throw insults and negativity around, but just cannot take the fact that she is losing vast amounts of credibility every time she opens her mouth and makes a snide comment.

In the end, when all the votes are counted and a winner is officially named, one thing will remain the same. It is clear that Lisa Murkowski is jealous of the beautiful life Sarah Palin leads. In making these comments the day after Sarah Palin's Alaska aired, it is clear that she is doing everything she can do to discredit Sarah and her ever-growing popularity. What other explanation is there other than to try to steal Sarah's thunder following the show, which was watched by millions across the globe, making it TLC's most watched reality-series premiere ever! It is clear that Lisa's latest shenanigan is a publicity stunt in an attempt to discredit Sarah, but it looks like this stunt has backfired on Lisa and company because many are shaking their heads, wondering why Lisa is getting involved in another woman's life when she has enough to deal with; after all, doesn't she have that whole recount thing to keep her busy? It would be wise if Lisa would start focusing on her own political goals and less on her (not-so-expert) opinion and personal dislike of Sarah Palin.

'DWTS' Semi-Finals Results

NOTE: DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU DO NOT YET WANT TO KNOW WHO IS ADVANCING TO THE FINALS OF "DANCING WITH THE STARS."

Bristol Palin has done it. She has gone all the way from no dance experience at all to the Finals of "Dancing with the Stars." What an amazing feat and one that should be celebrated. Bristol has worked very hard and, as the judges have said, has come farther than any other participant in the history of the show.

Not everyone is celebrating her success, however. Liberal heads are exploding all over the place. It really is quite pathetic that people cannot put aside their hatred and Palin Derangement Syndrome, just enjoy cheering on some hardworking people, and have a little family-friendly fun. "Dancing with the Stars" results combines judges' votes with America's votes. Why some haters are promoting a conspiracy theory is beyond me. But I do know one thing: nobody's going to stop moving forward and winning just because some losers want them to. It's onward and upward for Bristol!

Is Sarah Palin a Loser?

Stuart Schwartz wrote a spot-on article today for the American Thinker. It's the type of article that is hard to excerpt because it's so rich in its entirety. I must determine which parts to post here, but please do go over to the original piece and read it fully.

In a nutshell, Schwartz ably points out what those who respect Governor Palin for the person she is already know: she operates on principle above everything--above Party, above politics, above power. She stands for what she does, not because it serves some selfish purpose, but because she believes it best serves America. Sadly, people aren't used to this anymore. This is one of the main reasons the Establishment--yes, the Republican Establishment--wants to "stop Sarah Palin." And it's one of the main reasons we, the people, want President Palin. The Karl Roves of the world whine and complain about her because she is the antithesis of business as usual--and they're knee-deep in business.

The article reads:

Sarah Palin, the biggest loser.

That seems to be the consensus of the grandees inhabiting Washington and New York and pockets of glitter beyond. There is a variety of interpretations of the midterm Republican wave emanating from the wine bars of upper Manhattan and the salons of Georgetown, but most include the notion that for Sarah Palin, this election was the political equivalent of the hit ABC show "The Biggest Loser." When push came to shove, she stood on...principle?

Media and political elites may disagree on the many consequences of what the president called a "shellacking" by the voters, but they largely agree that the biggest loser was Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin has once again been flagged for her unwillingness to play the game according to how the media and political professionals want it played. For them, it is a game, with taxpayer dollars as Monopoly money. But for Sarah Palin, it's about beliefs and values and service -- which disqualifies her, in their view, from life between the political lines. Sure, she won -- having helped more than sixty candidates to victory -- but, as Rush Limbaugh pointed out, the political and media elites are "a little miffed" at how the Tea Party and Palin put principle ahead of politics. C'mon, lady -- professionals don't do core beliefs!

It was her principles that represented the biggest negative for Karl Rove, whom Lee Cary of American Thinker characterized as the "lead consigliere for the Republican bluebloods." Rove attacked Palin as unfit for political leadership after she insisted on endorsing candidates based on their beliefs in limited government and traditional values. Principles, he sneered, are for amateurs; professionals believe in winning. In response to the attack of the former Bush advisor and Fox News analyst, Hot Air blogger Allahpundit reminded him that she is effective in large part because she is "authentic and unpretentious." Exactly, Rove thundered in return: those qualities have no place in Washington!

Immediately following the election, the nation's elites went on Sarah Palin Alert. They have worked hard to strip taxpayers of hard-earned dollars and make Washington, D.C. the center of wealth, with six of the ten wealthiest counties in the United States bordering the Beltway. And it was Karl Rove who slammed his foot down on the accelerator of government spending during the Bush presidency, handing Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama a government poised to careen out of control. And it has: now that great centralized motor vehicle bureau known as the federal government has twice as many $150,000-a-year bureaucrats as it did when Obama took office, all extravagantly paid to scowl, fill out forms, and say "no" to the hapless citizens underwriting their million-dollar homes.

Small wonder that Republican Rep. Spencer Bachus of Alabama, a veteran of almost two decades inside the Beltway, looked at the Tea Party-inspired Republican sweep and saw only danger...from Sarah Palin. He said of her Herculean effort in creating a Republican wave: she cost us the U.S. Senate! Stop her! he screamed. And the media answered with a barrage of articles offering advice on how to stop Palin. For example, a former Wall Street Journal editor who had bolted when the owner of Fox News, Rupert Murdoch, bought the news outlet and put an end to its leftward drift laid out a plan to "derail Palin for 2012."

The mainstream media have been only too happy to oblige, for, as Allahpundit reminds us, Sarah Palin represents virtues alien to political and media elites. Should God offer a new beginning and utter the words, "Let there be honesty," a new Left Behind series would begin in empty Ritz Carlton meeting rooms and mainstream media offices all over the East Coast. Remaining would be the Sarah Palins of the world, the people who think Manolo Blahnik is the name of the guy who dishes up those great fish tacos from the truck just inside the entrance to the state fair. That's why the media elites immediately joined the Republican political establishment to highlight the "urgent task" resulting from the midterm victory: "Stop Sarah Palin."

Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker and the disgraced former governor of New York, Eliot Spitzer, have put together a show that is mainstream media right down to its "bomb" in the ratings. Parker lets us know that she is proud to have led the "assassination" of Palin in the days following the Alaska governor's vice presidential nomination. Rove is right to slam Palin, for she has "earned her ridicule" for her outrageously extreme positions. Palin believes that abortion is wrong, that Israel is courageous and admirable, that traditional family relationships are a strength and blessing, and that God is a part of all that is good and true -- extremist positions, Parker claims, repugnant to the real heart of America...Washington, D.C. This "dangerous" woman represents a "fresh terror" for "establishment Republicans," who, like Parker and Spitzer, are professionals. This election has now put the professionals on alert: Palin must be stopped.

And so Parker and Spitzer join with Noonan and Rove and others of the political establishment to stop the greatest threat to come out of the midterm Republican victories: Sarah Palin. By winning, she has lost, for they all understand that there's no hope of her joining them, of compromising her principles.

And so expect Rove to go after Sarah Palin again and again and again. And expect him to wear his black socks while doing so. You betcha!

'Sarah Palin’s Alaska’ Premiere Breaks TLC Record with 5 Million Viewers

Last night's premiere of "Sarah Palin's Alaska" was not only a fascinating look into the majesty and wonder that is the Last Frontier, but it was also a record-breaker. Alex Weprin writes:

The ratings are in, and it looks like “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” is a hit. TLC says nearly 5 million total viewers tuned in to the premiere of the series.

In case you haven’t seen our previous coverage, “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” is a documentary series from producer Mark Burnett and starring former Alaska governor and Fox News Channel contributor Sarah Palin.

TLC says 4.96 million total viewers tuned in, including 1.8 million adults 25-54, and 1.6 million adults 18-49, two of the network’s key demos. That is the best premiere in network history with regards to total viewers, beating the 2003 debut of “What Not to Wear.”

I hope you all had a great weekend and had fun watching Sarah Palin's Alaska last night on TLC. What a great show; I know I speak for many of you when I admit that I cannot wait until next week. Bristol Palin has "WOWED" America with her consistent improvement and her just-dance attitude during her time on Dancing with the Stars. It is also common knowledge that Bristol is the only contestant left who has no acting OR dancing experience. As the fabulous Kelly Osbourne recently said, "I love Bristol. I think she's what the show is all about. She puts her heart into what she's doing; there's such vulnerability in her, and she gets up there every week by herself and does it." Kelly is so right, Bristol IS what DWTS is all about. When I interviewed her for my blog, I found her to be so down-to-earth and genuine. There is not a diva bone in her entire body. In becoming a cast member on DWTS, she chose put herself out there, which illustrates her bravery and willingness to just let her hair down and have some fun. Sarah Palin recently tweeted some words of wisdom that Bristol shared with her when she first became a contestant: "No matter what I do, they're going to criticize, so I might as well dance." Well said, Bristol, well said. You just get out there and have some fun, and we will be there to support you and vote like crazy!!!

That's what we were hoping for in making this series as our love letter to Alaska. We made a positive family-oriented outdoor adventure that showcases America's Last Frontier with its vast reserves of natural resources which can contribute to our nation's security and prosperity. “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” is chock full of the stunning, majestic landscapes at Denali Park and Mount McKinley, the highest mountain peak in North America. Nature’s beauty can also present dangerous challenges like angry momma bears and 100 ft deep ice crevices that could swallow up a careless climber.

This rugged backdrop offers some insights as to how Sarah and Todd Palin acquired the skills to overcome some of their own personal adversities; from the birth of their special needs child, Trigg to the cruel jabs leveled at them by political opponents and media pundits.

Sarah is seen as a typical mother with all the challenges of a parent with children from ages 2 to 18. Her husband and help-mate, Todd is not shy or quiet as he is often portrayed. Governor Palin to Kathleen Parker: I'm Still Standing

Kathleen Parker fancied herself most clever as she bragged about leading the charge to destroy Governor Palin. In an interview with John Ziegler, she made the assertion that she was not only a willing participant, but the spearheader of "the assassination of Sarah Palin."

Apparently, while spending her time focusing on how to get rid of the Governor--something she obviously failed miserably at accomplishing--she was "duped" by then-candidate Obama, although, for some reason, she was not as quick to admit to this particular point.

Via NewsBusters, here's the Parker Spitzer exchange between Ziegler and Parker:

JOHN ZIEGLER: So you didn't buy into the Obama moderation myth?

KATHLEEN PARKER: I did.

ZIEGLER: You were duped by the media --

PARKER: I was one of those people who thought this is a guy who is talking about not a red, not a blue America, and who's going to bring the country together.

ZIEGLER: So you were duped.

PARKER: I was at that 2004 Democratic convention.

ZIEGER: Were you duped?

PARKER: No, I'm not going to say I was duped, I'm saying --

ZIEGLER: So you stand by that.

PARKER: Listen to you: I'm the interviewer here. [Nervous laughter] This is fun; this is fun. But I wrote critical things of him, and I still write critical things of him.

ZIEGLER: You endorsed him. You endorsed him before the election. And you took pride --

PARKER: I did not endorse. I did not endorse.

ZIEGLER: You took part in the targeting of Sarah Palin. You essentially took part in the assassination of Sarah Palin 1.0. That person is dead; she doesn't exist any more.

PARKER: No, no, no. Actually, I did not take part in it: I led it. Let's be clear. Let's get our facts straight.

While Kathleen Parker feels oddly proud of herself for her leadership role in what she perceives to be the taking down of Governor Palin--while she celebrates herself--she falls short, it seems, of recognizing or admitting that she failed miserably in her so-called leadership role. No one has killed Governor Palin. No one has destroyed her message, either. In fact, she is standing taller and has emerged stronger since the pitiful attempts to cut off and assassinate her character, her career, and her--dare I say--cajones.

The Governor spoke to this yesterday via Twitter.

It's this type of response from Governor Palin that drives both the Left and the Right crazy. She is still standing. None of the attempts to destroy her--no matter how coordinated and committed--have yielded any rewards. She is not only still standing; she's moving forward and shaping the current political conversation in America. What drives people even crazier is the fact that she can confront these self-professed opponents, as she did yesterday, and point out that they are utter failures. How odd it is that Kathleen Parker would even admit to something that shows her to be such a complete loser in this effort.

It'll take more than a Kathleen Parker, or a lamestream media, to assassinate Governor Palin. She knows it--and she reminds them of it. They know it, too. And this is precisely why they hate her.

Instead of fighting a losing battle, perhaps at some point these haters will come to realize the wisdom in the old saying, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em."

Governor Palin's Book Tour Schedule

The book tour schedule for Governor Palin's new book, America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag is now available to the public. Mike Allen reports:

Palin’s strategic schedule includes a stop in Tulsa, Okla., on “Black Friday” — the day after Thanksgiving — and then four more stops during that big shopping weekend.

The tour has more of a heartland concentration than the 35-city tour for her memoir “Going Rogue” (the best-selling nonfiction book of 2009) and adds such markets as Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, South Carolina and Tennessee.

The venues include the giant book chains — Borders, Barnes & Noble and Books-a-Million. But the former Alaska governor will also sign books at all-American locations like Walmart, Sam’s Club, Costco and Kroger.

Her publisher, HarperCollins, released this description of “America by Heart”: “Framed by her strong belief in the importance of family, faith and patriotism, the book ranges widely over American history, culture and current affairs … America By Heart will include selections from classic and contemporary readings that have moved her — from the nation’s founding documents to great speeches, sermons, letters, literature and poetry, biography and even some of her favorite songs and movies.”

Pre-Screening of Sarah Palin's Alaska

While I was not able to attend the Buffalo, NY pre-screening of Sarah Palin's Alaska tonight, my friend Lori Brenneman, one of Governor Palin's most ardent supporters, did attend and was gracious enough to write this review for me to share:

Having just come from a pre-screening of Sarah Palin's Alaska, I must start by saying that this is a true feel-good series. It was fun. And that, I believe, is the intent here.

Those who watch the series hoping to get inside Sarah Palin's head and find out what makes her Sarah Palin will, instead, discover that it is a travelogue. It is precisely what Sarah Palin maintained all along that it would be.

Not that there aren't glimpses into the family life of the Palins. There are a number of them, all pleasing in their authenticity. Sarah Palin seemed completely at ease allowing viewers to see family moments that were less than perfect. I sensed an audible enthusiasm from audience members around me, an appreciation that Gov. Palin kept those snapshots of her family life real.

For the most part, viewers were treated to a breathtaking adventure. From a segment with the Palin family fishing near grizzly bears, to Gov. Palin negotiating a climb up a steep glacier (despite a readily admitted fear of heights), it was an engaging episode that really got the audience involved. There was a sense of being taken along on the fishing trip, in the motorhome, in the float plane. The Alaskan scenery was stunning. Watching the Governor, her husband Todd, and their children share experiences in the great outdoors was thoroughly enjoyable.

In the midst of all of the outdoor activities, Gov. Palin, with Todd's help, filmed a segment for Bill O'Reilly in a studio a mere twenty feet from their home. This elicited laughs from the audience as Gov. Palin obviously struggled for one uninterrupted sentence, not an easy feat if you are familiar with Bill O'Reilly.

Although Gov. Palin has lived in Alaska her entire life, she approached each adventure with an undimmed first-time enthusiasm that was wonderfully refreshing. It was truly contagious. The atmosphere in the theatre gave me the sense that the audience wished they could be there, sharing the excitement of the fishing, the climbing, the flying. Alaska's native daughter drew us all in, and we were happy to be there with her.

It left me, and my companions, looking forward to the next episode with great anticipation. Sarah Palin's Alaska is good. Incredibly good. This is a show that families can watch together and honestly enjoy, from the youngest children to the older adults. It seems like a minor stroke of genius that Discovery Channel has come up with something that will appeal to most everyone.

This evening's screening played to a house that, while not packed, certainly had more persons in attendance than some "blockbuster" films I have seen. And tonight's audience clearly liked what they saw.

Seven more episodes? Bring 'em on. Two thumbs up to Discovery Channel for a job well done. And we owe the Palins a debt of gratitude for this endearing and genuine look into their Alaska.

Afterword: Leaving the theatre was not the end of the evening. As we stepped back into the lobby, we were presented with a black plush grizzly bear and a packet of color postcards depicting scenes from the episode we had been shown.

In conclusion, I believe that each person who attended had the good fortune to take away something rare and unique from Sarah Palin's Alaska.

We Want to Fight the Left, But the Republican Establishment is Distracting Us

Okay, here’s the rule: if you are a Republican and want to badmouth Sarah Palin, please step aside and let those of us who have guts lead the charge to take back the Shining City On a Hill. I’m not one for silencing dissenters, but this is war. And the war is against the Left, the Obama agenda and the progressive movement. If you are a Republican, then this is where you need to be fighting. Tearing down Sarah Palin or feeding people false memes about gravitas and polarization only helps the Left and hurts the Republican cause.

Don’t let the liberals define our candidates. Have you not learned the lesson of 2008? In 2008, the Left chose our presidential nominee. They also convinced moderate and independent voters that we needed to move to the center to accommodate a (falsely pushed theme by the media) leftward swing in the electorate. Liberals voted in open primaries and when they couldn’t vote in a GOP primary, they cheered from the sidelines.

Had Huckabee or Romney become our nominee, the Left would have had to deal more directly with the reality that our country still is a center-right country. When McCain was chosen, the Left breathed a collective sigh of relief knowing that the road to the White House would go right past a man speaking to crickets and a few stragglers in a field or a gymnasium somewhere while the “messiah” was packing the house with fainting sheep and gullible lemmings. The GOP Establishment strategy basically was handing it to liberal socialism since it would easily have more credibility if it beat a moderate instead of a conservative.

Then John McCain named Sarah Palin to be his running mate and the Left went nuts. While they would go on to win the election anyway, it took a mobilization of the mainstream media, an orchestrated smear campaign that involved heavy AstroTurfing, the parading of whining cry baby malcontents from Alaska, the full might of Hollywood and a well timed (even if coincidental?) financial crisis to stop the ensuing slide in the polls. Ultimately Obama won by 7 points because those were the people he duped into believing Sarah Palin was not qualified.

This writer put forth early on in 2009 that the strategy for beating Obama in 2012 would not be one that required us to turn 67 million Obama voters around. McCain got 46% of the vote and 58,343,671 people voted for him. Obama got 53% and 66,882,230 votes. That's a spread of 8.5 million. It was and still is this writer’s heartfelt assertion that if you convince enough people that the media lied about John McCain, Sarah Palin and the conservative movement that at worst these people (the 8.5 million) could be won back.

And we were doing such a good job, too.

A couple of weeks ago, those people voted with us. These people are not the hardcore conservatives who were electrified by Sarah Palin, Rick Santelli or Glenn Beck. These are regular folk who hear what both sides have to say and then they go to the polls. They don’t read blogs. They will probably never read this article even if Sean Hannity read it on Fox. They watch the Nightly News. They read newspapers. They work. They have lives. Some of them still think Sarah Palin can see Russia from her house even if they think Obama drove us into the ditch.

So what do we want these people to hear?

We certainly don’t want them to hear that there is friction in the Republican Party because of Sarah Palin and the Tea Party movement. Yet, every time one of these “Karl Rovian” coordinated attacks are deliberately delivered on Fox News, at the Weekly Standard or (for some odd reason – where Karl Rove works) the Wall Street Journal, somehow those of the ones we want to win back who listen to the mainstream media hear it. I don’t know (shrugging my shoulders like Glenn Beck). Maybe all of a sudden the mainstream media has taken an interest in the Republican Party?

You see, there is friction in the GOP over Sarah Palin and the Tea Party movement. But it’s the Establishment that’s causing the friction, not Palin and the Tea Party. When you see “conservative” pundits and political consultants go on TV or take to the keyboard to deliberately bash or underplay Sarah Palin, this is coordinated. This is being orchestrated from within. It’s like Journolist for the right. Read Whitney Pitcher’s article and you tell me if this doesn’t seem coincidental that it is happening in unison and right before we head into 2012 primary season.

I’m not going to name names here. I want bloggers like Whitney, Republican activists and Tea Party activists to do that. But, I will jump into the fray, too, after this. We should plan on slamming anyone who hurts the cause, even if they’re on our side. We should want a lean mean fighting machine going into 2012. I don’t want a bunch of mealy mouthed wussies fighting this battle. We saw how that worked out in 2008, didn’t we?

If there’s going to be a fight then let’s do it now, not on the convention floor for the world to see. Let’s clean house now. The Tea Party has begun its infiltration. Sarah Palin has knocked back the lamestream media. And the Republicans are a majority again. Take notes Establishment types and members of what Ronald Reagan pejoratively called “the Republican Fraternity.” Do you remember 1980? It’s happening again; unless of course you want to turn it into 1976.

Those who ride the Reagan wave which has put silver spoons in their mouths at the expense of forgotten principles or who have earned their wealth on the rebuilding of a compassionate quasi-Rockefeller wing of the GOP while using Reagan as a prop are not understanding something about today’s new and emerging GOP: Homie don’t play that game. True Reaganites would not diss the similar nature of the anti-Establishment theme coming out of the Palin camp. Nor would they break Ronaldus Maximus’ 11^th commandment.

Guys, this is the same Republican establishment that nearly turned this country over to the progressives, the new world order people and the socialists two years ago. How the heck can we allow them to control the GOP narrative or handpick the 2012 nominee again after all their great failures?

There is a very good possibility that the GOP rank and file will choose Sarah Palin to be the nominee should she run. If I was wrong about this, we wouldn’t see the knee-capping and there would be no need to write this article. The establishment is scared she can’t win in 2012 and rightfully so. She can’t win if they undermine her the way they did Christine O’Donnell and Sharron Angle. If the establishment can’t man up, suit up and strap on their gear without fear and stand behind her and help push us to the top, then we are going to have to work that much harder on our end - on the Tea Party end.

It will ultimately be the Establishment’s decision whether the Grand Old Party lives on or chokes on its own caviar.

You know those people who the President said were standing on the side of the road drinking slurpees while everyone else was trying to get the car out of the dish? That’s the Establishment. They’re standing there complaining “she’s not doing it right.” But they sure as hell aren’t lifting a finger to get in there and help.

The Establishment is sipping their fancy drinks with their pinkies stuck up talking in the Glenn Beck “intellectual elite” voice he uses to mock them. They’re saying “those Tea Partiers are useful because they vote for us, but God forbid any one of those rumpled suits or uncouth backwoods women with motor oil under their fingernails gets too much power.” Just look at how they are reacting to Michele Bachmann as she gets closer and closer to a committee chairmanship. They are cowering like sniveling babies in the backroom, but when they come on TV with their white boards and their polished analyses, it’s always about “the good of the party.”

This is not the time to leave the party or go off half cocked complaining about the Establishment by talking third party or getting cynical about politics again. This is about whooping their butts and taking it over. Get their hands off the GOP wheel and we’ll drive. So what if we’re not 100% polished yet and fully vested in Congress. We can’t wait. The last time we waited we went from Ronald Reagan to Barack Obama. Time is of the essence.

Sarah Palin is willing to lead this fight for us. She has said if she runs, she’ll “be in it to win it.” The woman is willing to go to the matt for us. Let’s do the same for her, our party and our country.

Why would the GOP Establishment make the same stupid mistakes that the liberals have been making for the last two years? The more they bash Palin, the more it drives her to work harder, to become better, to be more aware of her surroundings. She has told us this! It’s odd that those who are so afraid she might run would motivate her even more by egging her on like this.

Some will read this and say, aw shucks, it’s just Palin propaganda. No it’s not. Do you see anything in here that bashes Huckabee, Romney, Gingrich, Santorum or any of the other candidates? No. That’s why we have primaries. That’s why we want the grown ups back in charge so that the whining, the sniveling and the foot kicking will stop – on both sides of the aisle.

Now I’ve figured out why the liberals got so strong. It’s because of the Establishment. The political games, the lip service to conservatism and the fancy suits and fundraisers all mask a crony insider game of musical chairs that gives it to the next in line and sells the electorate on how many points of light there can be or how compassionate they are. And every time the people smell this, they run to the other side.

That’s not my party. My party is represented by the ideals of a great man who once told us that our better days were ahead of us.

Put up or shut up. May the best man or woman win – fair and square.

Camille and I first got to know Jedediah via Twitter when we were helping with Eddie Burke's campaign for Alaska lieutenant governor. Jedediah was nice enough to conduct a Q&A with Eddie that was published in the Daily Caller. For those of you who know of Jededidah's work as a writer and commentator, not to mention an upcoming author, you know that she has an amazing way with words and the quality of her work is both fair and honest. Her work is a favorite of Mark Levin and Shaun Hannity. She is a regular on the Fox News Channel with regular appearances on Hannity and Red Eye. Camille and I cannot wait to talk with her about the mid-term elections and the rise of women in politics.

Phase One: The People Have Spoken

You can tell by the President's tone and the questions the press corp asked that word is out. The people are being heard. However, this is just one step, one phase, of the restoration of America to greatness that is so needed at this time. And again, he heard. Does it mean he gets it? That's something we can't wait to find out. It took a lot of "political bloodshed" just to get him to hear us. There is a lot more work to be done. Phase one is the people have spoken. Phase 2 will come when the people have acted.

As newly elected Senators and Representatives go to Congress next year, they will be tempted by the apple of power. They will be invited to drink the Potomoc water. It will be here where the test will either be passed or failed.

President Obama has told us what his side is going to do. They believe in their principles and they don't want to compromise on the core stuff. He said he would be willing to take Republican ideas such as fixing the small business 1099 provision in the Health Care law to reduce the paperwork and bureaucratic burdens. We know the President is good at words. He seems to have learned some kind of lesson from this. But don't sit back now thinking he's going to give in.

This whole thing is not about compromise. It's about principles. What we learned last night is that there are still two distinct groups in America who are not willing to compromise on those principles. Do we continue down the road of vicious discourse and the politics of personal destruction or do we foster an environment where compromise is not horse trading, but more like pragmatic bull riding?

There are lessons for all of us to learn from this. The Democrats found out that if they don't listen to the will of the people, they're out. The establishment Republicans have learned that if they complain about the candidates that have come out of the political process, particularly Tea Party candidates, they harm their chances for 2012. The Tea Party has learned that they are the truest and purist in the philosophy that is needed to get this country back to its Constitutional roots but that they are not always the most prettiest, most savvy or "best dressed" candidates.

It's time for the Democrats to be the ones who do the compromising. It's time for the Republican establishment to welcome the Tea Party into the tent and show them around. It's time for the Tea Party to learn how to turn the levers of power.

Power works like anything else. There is a science to it. It, in and of itself, is not a bad thing. But power corrupts when those who work the wheels are they themselves corrupt. And in this regard, the Tea Party has a major point about the GOP establishment.

In fairness to the GOP establishment, it's understandable that they would be concerned about people who have never worked the wheels before having to go from a field where dirt flies in the breeze between the Gadsden flags to the inner halls of Congress where a certain decorum and demeanor are required to work those wheels and where actual governing decisions need to be made.

But it is here that the GOP establishment has a crossroads moment in how they are going to treat the future of the Republican Party. If they don't see this influx of the grassroots as its party's future, they are destined to watch the party go the way of the Whigs. If the GOP establishment wants to "Bogart" the wheels of power and continue with business as usual in order to protect their own inner power structure, the principled newbies are not only going to be ineffective. They will leave the party.

This is a second chance for Republicans to be what they said they would be not so long ago, Marco Rubio said. The last thing America needs is its most principled people and its most Constitutionally conservative members to be demotivated by criticism that "they don't clean up well." If they pull out, it will create the vacuum that will result in the "Pottersvilling" of America. We were almost there in 2008. If it was not for the Tea Party, we'd probably be beyond the turnaround point by now. All hope for restoration would be gone.

If the Republican establishment is smart, it will open the hood, hand the Tea Party a wrench and say "let's get to work." There are some mechanical things the Tea Party can learn from the establishment. But when the establishment tries to take a short cut, rig the job or compromise on the value of the workmanship that goes on under that hood, it's time for the Tea Party to say "nope, we're going to do the job right this time."

It's time for the Republican Party to ride the tiger, not beat it. It's time for "the establishment" to begin to hand it over to the next generation, the "new establishment" that will be made up of mature Tea Partiers when the time is right.

If the establishment sees the Tea Party as a threat and tries to knee-cap it, or if it looks down on the Tea Party in a condescending manner, the battle to beat the liberals and to take back the Shining City on a Hill will be severely compromised and our energy will be diverted from the task at hand.

Christine O'Donnell gave a great example of this on the talk shows this morning. According to the New York Daily News:

[O'Donnell] said she wished the state and national Republican party backed her more enthusiastically during the campaign.

"I think the only thing that really would have made a difference is if the Delaware GOP had unified," O'Donnell told "Good Morning America." "Unfortunately, that still hasn't happened."

Amy Kremer, chairwoman of the Tea Party Express told Megyn Kelly on Fox News Channel that the Tea Party is proud of the work it has done and will continue to work toward electing conservative candidates and getting the Republican Party to move back to its platform.

The fact that the punditry and some inside the GOP establishment are saying that the Tea Party is a double edged sword or that they hurt the party's chances of picking up more seats do nothing to positively help either the cause of the GOP or the cause of the Tea Party.

Consider that the GOP establishment also fielded candidates who lost and consider the simple nature of the beast that you can't win them all. Winning every seat is like winning a football pool. You might do well, but there will always be a field goal kicker, a quarterback or some stupid play that costs you a game here and a game there. Recognizing life for what it is and being thankful for the victories the GOP had last night is too positive a suggestion even for those among our own ranks who would choose to complain and point fingers.

Sarah Palin pointed out that CNN exit polls show that if Mike Castle had been the Delaware GOP candidate, he, too, would have lost to Coons.

How is it possible that Harry Reid, who had some of the lowest approval ratings for a candidate going into last night could still win?

Don't blame the Tea Party. Understand the nature of the beast before you beat it with a stick.

For over a century here in the United States and for centuries in Europe, people who have clustered into big cities and high population centers have always had a need to be told what to do. It is normal human belief that when large groups of people live in such close quarters that there needs to be rules and codes of conduct. And for centuries they have chosen their leaders to be both nanny and disciplinarian.

In more open areas where there is more of a rural or pioneering type setting, people tend to want to self-regulate. They don't want groups or other people to tell them how to live, what to do with their land and most of all don't want themselves being forced to give up things that they earn from the sweat of their own brow so that people can live comfortably in large cities where services and peaceful living are considered entitlements rather than issues of personal responsibility.

When Carly Fiorina, Meg Whitman and Sharon Angle lose their elections, it's not because they were horrible candidates chosen by the Tea Party. It's because they were candidates who shook up the big city mentality and got a lot of people thinking during an election which, if it had been run at any other time than now, would have easily been won by the liberal candidates with no further discussion from the talking heads. The fact that Barbara Boxer, Jerry Brown and Harry Reid had to fight for their lives against "such inferior candidates" says a lot more than many want to admit at a time where sore losership trumps clearer thinking on the GOP side.

Winning in 2012 and beyond is going to take more thought than just whining about choosing electable candidates. Let's face it. An electable candidate in Texas or Kentucky may not be an electable candidate in New York or California. "That O'Donnell and Whitman performed roughly the same despite the fact that O'Donnell characterized herself as a Tea Party conservative while Whitman characterized herself as a moderate should tell everyone that the deep blue hue of California and Delaware mattered more than anything related to the Tea Party," writes Ian Lazaran at Conservatives4Palin.

What should be more frustrating to the GOP establishment than the quality of candidates fielded should be the colors on the map. Nothing burns a conservative more than looking at a map where all the precincts are red except for a few small blue spots that just happen to be near or in the inner cities and then they look up at the election numbers and see their candidate down by 4%.

It is the failure of the GOP to recognize that while we are successful at open field hilltop to hilltop political combat, we simply suck at urban house to house warfare.

No one is saying the GOP shouldn't be working on finding the best candidates. Candidate training is a part of the Tea Party movement. If the GOP can help out rather than lash out, maybe this can be achieved more quickly.

But more importantly, beyond focusing on changing the quality of their candidates, the GOP and Tea Party should be working on winning over the hearts and minds of the city people with cluster mentalities that have lead them to a false sense of security based on their beliefs that a nanny state federal government is the same as having a well run apartment complex with a good super or a community with a good association whose rules keep the quality of life nice.

These are the people who need to be convinced that local government is the best government. It is these people who need to believe that the GOP is not out to take away their essential services or interfere with their social lives. Instead, they need to be empowered to pay for these services themselves and live their lives as they see fit without coming to the federal government with their hands out or a laundry list of laws that ask others who are not like them in other areas of the country to conform to.

There are two philosophies. The inner city philosophy of top down rule and the rural more outside suburbanite philosophy of small limited government with bottom up rule. These will always clash unless those with the inner city mentalities who vote liberal like lemmings can be convinced that their lives will be much better off once they are weaned off the teet of the federal government (and ultimately unwilling taxpayers who don't live in or near the big cities).

The Shining City on a Hill need not be polished off the sweat of the brows of those who live in the valleys. Those who live in the city need to take responsibility for their own pad or plot and take pride in their communities and complex enough to believe that we are all capable of making the country a better place when we stop micro-managing and over-complicating things and take a more common sense approach to solving our problems.

The Tea Party has a lot of work to do, not because they are doing things wrong, but because there is a lot more right that needs to be done. It now needs to hold the candidates who were just elected accountable and see to it that it continues to improve as we head into 2012. We've come a long way since the Tea Party was a rag tag army of sign waving Gadsden flag holding members of the "mob" in a field protesting the government. Those who criticize them today fail to recognize the potential for tomorrow.

The time has come to continue to move forward. We've done so much good so far.

We had a great victory last night. But it was a politically bloody battle. We took casualties. We crushed our opponents. We took the gavel from Pelosi. We took Obama's Senate seat. We won crucial governorships in Ohio and Florida among other states. We achieved the ultimate objective of taking the House.

Yes, we didn't take out Harry Reid. Yes, we lost Sharron Angle and Christine O'Donnell. Miller and Rossi may also be lost. Carly Fiorina was badly wounded, but she will be back. It wasn't a totally pretty win. But it was a solid win.

It was also the next phase in the evolution of Sarah Palin whose great victories give her more clout than ever before and whose toughest losses give her a more clearer and more concise picture of what needs to be fixed as she moves forward to possibly running for president in 2012. These are all good things. If someone wants to shoot off their mouths and criticize the Tea Party or criticize Sarah Palin, that is simply stinking thinking. Success is not a destination, but rather a journey. Statues have been erected for those who have succeeded in the past. But you never see a statue erected for a critic.

It's time to move forward. We are advancing. Stage 2 is the big one. And, it's only two years away.

Enjoy the banquet today. Tomorrow we saddle up for the next big battle.

Anonymous GOP Sources: 'Stop Sarah Palin'

Politico put out a Palin piece highlighting more...you guessed it...anonymous sources speaking negatively about Governor Palin. This time the comments are attributed to the establishment Republicans and 2012 hopefuls who supposedly are committed to one cause: "Stop Sarah Palin."

Politico reports (emphasis added):

Top Republicans in Washington and in the national GOP establishment say the 2010 campaign highlighted an urgent task that they will begin in earnest as soon as the elections are over: Stop Sarah Palin.

Interviews with advisers to the main 2012 presidential contenders and with other veteran Republican operatives make clear they see themselves on a common, if uncoordinated, mission of halting the momentum and credibility Palin gained with conservative activists by plunging so aggressively into this year’s midterm campaigns.

"There is a determined, focused establishment effort … to find a candidate we can coalesce around who can beat Sarah Palin," said one prominent and longtime Washington Republican. "We believe she could get the nomination, but Barack Obama would crush her."

This sentiment was a nearly constant refrain in POLITICO interviews with top advisers to the candidates most frequently mentioned as running in 2012 and a diverse assortment of other top GOP officials.

Top Republicans, from presidential hopefuls Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty to highly influential advisers such as Karl Rove and Ed Gillespie, are said to be concerned she will run, and could win, according to the officials.

A Palin adviser declined to comment.

Shortly after the article was posted, Palin went on Fox News, where she is a paid commentator, to criticize POLITICO and any unnamed critics.

"[T]hese are the brave people who want to lead the nation and run the world. But they're not brave enough to put their name in an article," she told Greta Van Susteren. "I learned back in the day that who, what, when, where, why of journalism. You report that facts; you let other people decide what their opinion is going to be. So having unnamed sources in an article like this is very, very, disappointing, you know. And it doesn't do anybody any good. It doesn't educate anybody. … I'm getting used to it though."

I agree with the Governor. These are the same people who want to run the country and tackle national security, yet they hide their identities out of fear. Pitiful!

Nearly all of these interviewees insisted on keeping their views on background, fearing the wrath of conservative grass-roots activists who are enthralled with the former Alaska governor and who have made plain that the establishment’s disdain for Palin and her devotees is mutually reciprocated.

The truth is they're scared to death that Governor Palin will do what she did in Alaska throughout her political career: destroy the good old boys network, expose their corruption, and whip their tails in elections. This all just goes to show that the "anonymous sources" who think they, not she, are ready to lead the nation, clearly are not. As common sense people have been saying since November of 2008: "Run, Sarah, Run."

CBS Affiliate Busted on Voicemail Conspiring Against Senate Candidate Joe Miller

The media has been busted conspiring once again. This time the target is Alaska's Joe Miller who is running for Senate. Not too many knew who Miller was before he received the support of Governor Palin, and the lamestream media--along with other PDS sufferers--see a loss for him as a win against the Governor. So once again, the media stops at nothing to promote their agenda. This one is particularly troubling, and heads should roll. Nonetheless, we see an example of this truth: "what's done in the dark will come to the light."

The following voice mail message was inadvertently left on the cell phone of Joe Miller campaign spokesperson Randy DeSoto.

The voices are believed to be those of the news director for CBS Anchorage affiliate KTVA, along with assignment editor Nick McDermott, and other reporters, openly discussing creating, if not fabricating, two stories about Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, Joe Miller.

The following is a transcript of a call recorded after CBS Alaska affiliate KTVA called Joe Miller’s Senate campaign spokesperson. The call failed to disconnect properly. It was later authenticated by McDermott, who sent a text to Randy DeSoto stating, “Damn iPhone… I left you a long message. I thought I hung up. Sorry.”

Clearly the reporters were conspiring to set up some type of smear of Joe Miller. With glee, they even cite a recent controversy over an incident involving the Rand Paul campaign, while discussing how they would spread the story via social media after whatever incident they had in mind came off. It also brings to mind another recent episode that ended with Jerry Brown’s California gubernatorial campaign being caught up in controversy when someone from Brown’s camp called Brown’s opponent, Republican Meg Whitman, a “whore.”

This calls into serious question what type of campaign coverage CBS’ KTVA has been providing Alaskans all along, given their reporters’ willingness to conspire against Miller.

This totally makes me sick to my stomach. Can the public no longer count on the media to fairly report the news? That is the media's job, is it not? We saw this type of nonsense here and here when, during the 2008 campaign, "Journolisters" went after Governor Palin after Senator McCain tapped her to be his running mate and she was deemed a threat to their victory plans. We saw it in the media's decision to protect then-candidate Obama from serious scrutiny and downplay his radical associations. We saw it with the conspiracy to depict all Republicans as racists. We see it still--everyday--because the lamestream media has decided that their job is to be the deciding factor in who the public respects and elects. Joe Miller is just their newest target.

May this truth exposed send Alaskans to the polls with a determination to vote for the real Joe Miller, rejecting the Left's sick agenda--so sick they joke and laugh about child molesters. Their behavior is disgusting, and certainly not befitting those who should be honored to represent our First Amendment rights. The term "sick puppies" comes to mind.

Karl Rove Hypocritically Criticizes Governor Palin

I'm not going to spend a whole lot of time on Karl Rove because he's so yesterday, it's ridiculous. He's had his underwear in a wad since his establishment Republicans have gotten the boot from people like Christine O'Donnell in Delaware, endorsed by Governor Palin. He's been pouting, whining, and complaining since she shocked the country with her Primary win. Now he's trashing Governor Palin.

London's Telegraph reports:

Karl Rove, the former senior adviser to George W Bush, has cast doubt on Sarah Palin’s viability as a White House candidate, questioning if the American people thought she had the “gravitas” for the “most demanding job in the world”.

“With all due candour, appearing on your own reality show on the Discovery Channel, I am not certain how that fits in the American calculus of 'that helps me see you in the Oval Office’,” Mr Rove told The Daily Telegraph in an interview.

Rove is a hypocrite, as Josh Painter points out, for after criticizing Governor Palin's series, he applauds President Obama's appearance on the Comedy Channel:

Karl Rove applauded Jon Stewart for his interview of President Barack Obama on The Daily Show, saying that “Stewart was questioning from the left,” but that “it was a serious attempt. I mean, it was actually a pretty good interview.”

Again, Karl Rove is a hypocrite whose real problem is jealousy that Governor Palin's influence has pushed people like him and his establishment buddies to the back burner.

Sheya, writing for C4P, states:

I’m just curious, what does a candidate have to do to "help" Rove see that he or she "fits in the American calculus" of being President? Having multiple states that you call home...does that do it?

Hey, here’s an idea. After Sarah Palin’s Alaska succeeds in showing the American people who Governor Palin really is, contrary to what you and the media have been trying to manipulate them into believing, and her numbers begin climbing upwards, Mitt Romney can do his own series. He can pick one of the following as a title: “Mitt’s Massachusetts,” “Mitt’s Michigan,” "Mitt’s Utah," or "Mitt’s California." Or you know maybe it’ll be easier to keep it simple, as a friend suggested, maybe he just calls it "Mitt Romney's Estates".

With all due respect to Mr. Rove, I think he’s way past his buy-sell date. It’s no longer 2000. Much has happened since the architect couldn’t get his candidate to win the popular vote even when the climate was all in his favor.

Carl Paladino is Looking for a 'Real Leader'

Carl Paladino, New York gubernatorial candidate, who somehow acquired the "Tea Party Favorite" title, has shown himself once again to be a jerk at best and a complete nutcase at worst. His "angry boy" persona has not served him well up till now, and it's not getting any more promising.

His own self-defeating antics are responsible for the butt whoopin' the numbers show him receiving from Andrew Cuomo. And while I am all for a no-nonsense kind of leader, especially in my state of New York, I would like one that can combine no-nonsense with common sense--at least a hint of it. Not so with Paladino.

Knowing Americans are fed up with the damage political correctness has done, Paladino has tried to sell himself as the antithesis of such, assuming by so doing he is endearing himself to fed up New Yorkers. While refusing to wear the fear the Left tries to impose upon people is admirable, the wannabe governor's words and actions are not quite so admirable. His behavior has been disgraceful at a time when New York could really use a level-headed--albeit strong--public servant. Paladino, however, has too often shot himself in the foot. And again, he has taken a cheap shot at Governor Palin. With Election Day fast approaching, I ordinarily wouldn't ride the Republican candidate's tail too hard, but since he continues to wag it, since he's totally killed his own chances, and especially since he's used his platform to try to take down Governor Palin, he's got this coming.

New York gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino took aim at the prospect of Sarah Palin pursuing a presidential run in 2012 in an interview with the New York Times published on Monday night.

In voicing his opinion on the matter, the Tea Party-backed hopeful reportedly criticized Palin as a "TV personality" in the making who isn't ready to serve the country in the White House.

It's not the first time that Paladino has stated the view in the wake of whispers about plans in the works for Palin to mount a presidential campaign in 2012.

"We need a real leader," explained the Republican candidate to New York-based station WNYC last month. "Not someone who just wants to go and throw a bunch of words around and proverbs and -- I want somebody that is going to be totally responsible. Someone that is a student of that government."

First of all, the media's obsession with asking politicians about Governor Palin and a 2012 run for the presidency is really telling. They have allowed her to rule and reign in their minds, and they are more concerned about what her next step may be than they are with the issues the candidates have espoused. Even though she has set her attention on 2010, they have visions of 2012 dancing in their heads. One must wonder, with all the hoopla surrounding this topic already, what in the world can we expect should she actually decide that she is running in 2012?

Second, with the mess New York state is in, one would think there is a plethora of more pressing issues to discuss with this man who claims to have the goods to move the Empire State forward. Yet somehow his opinion of Governor Palin as a contender for the presidency manages to find its way into the conversation. He should have his hands full. Where does he find the time?

Furthermore, Paladino's decision to take the low road and demean Governor Palin speaks more about his leadership--or lack thereof--than hers. His words concerning her demonstrate a gross lack of insight and awareness of the issues. He presents himself as a maverick who has come to turn things around, one who can buck the establishment and make a difference in New York. But what he illustrates is he's been missing in action or not paying attention. If he were more aware, he would recognize that Governor Palin has both accomplished more and laid more on the line for the sake of tea party conservative principles than anyone else to date. She has given herself completely to these mid-terms elections--making endorsements, donating funds, traveling the nation at an incredibly busy pace, her life even threatened in the process. She has done nothing less than put her efforts, her name, and her reputation on the line so that she can help restore sanity to Washington. All this while some others have taken the safer route--some too cowardly to make the long-shot endorsements, others making endorsements after Governor Palin's candidates have gained ground (but enough about Mitt).

The Governor is responsible for drawing attention to the danger of Obamacare, demanding we "repeal and replace," calling out cap-and-tax, and heralding fiscal responsibility. She has supported our military, taken a stand for common decency at Ground Zero, and stood on the side of border states determined to keep themselves safe despite the federal government's negligence. The work she has done toward energy independence will outlive each of us. She has promoted a culture of life and respect for those with special needs. Governor Palin has almost singlehandedly brought the revival we now see in this country, and it shows no signs of slowing down.

Paladino states that Governor Palin merely throws a bunch of words around. Really? Well, with just one word spoken or written, the Governor has repeatedly raised thousands of dollars to help elect yet another common sense conservative who will serve for the right reasons. And we're supposed to take this guy's opinion of her seriously?

Carl Paladino says he wants someone responsible for president, and apparently Governor Palin doesn't fit the bill in his mind. Is he offering himself up as an exemplar of responsibility? Should she be taking notes from him? Well, let's take a look at his version of responsibility in both word and deed. Then you decide who has more credibility--and sensibility.

Douglas Feiden of the New York Daily News provides some background information on Paladino:

Framing everything in take-no-prisoners terms, Paladino weeks ago predicted his primary win and promised the same against Andrew Cuomo, the odds-on front-runner in the race for the governor's mansion.

"I promise you, I will take down Little Ricky [Rick Lazio], and after that, I will take out Prince Andrew," he said.

Paladino, 63, offered up a healthy dose of threats and invective while dining at Sinatra's, his favorite Italian eatery in his hometown of Buffalo.

"There will be blood on the floor," he said, washing down pork braciola with red wine.

"It won't be pretty, it won't be clean, but I will take them down."

Subtle as a pit bull, but with a fast smile and a mischievous glint in his eye, Paladino will vilify any foe and blurt out anything that comes to mind.

He told building contractors in Ronkonkoma that Gov. Paterson was "a wimp . . . really, he's pathetic." Former Gov. George Pataki? He's a "degenerate idiot."

Tough campaigning is a part of running for office, but Paladino's words work to show him as a loose cannon more prone to insults, profanity, and threats than anything else--and it's simply not working for him. In fact, it's worked against him and killed his chances. Paladino's track record shows his brand of responsibility to involve having no language filter, making serious personal allegations without sufficient evidence, and being commitment challenged.

In addition, he almost ruined his Primary chances when disgustingly racist, sexist, and pornographic emails he forwarded were leaked. His defense? He simply stated that he's not politically correct, that the emails were "just humor." The problem is New York state--and the state New York is in--are no laughing matters, and he has hurt the efforts to turn things around.

If Carl Paladino holds himself up as the example of a "real leader," if he is the standard by which leadership is measured, thank God Governor Palin doesn't fit his mold. Why in the world would anyone ask him to validate someone else's leadership credentials, especially someone with the success Governor Palin has enjoyed? It just shows, again, the state of the lamestream media.

Carl Paladino, who fancies himself a no-nonsense voice, needs to add some common sense to his resume'. Until then, he might just want to say nothing at all. Besides, instead of assessing Governor Palin's ability to handle the presidency in 2012, shouldn't he be spending all his energy between now and next Tuesday finding a way out of the hole he's dug for himself in New York?

When my good friend, Eddie Burke, was invited by the Tea Party Express to address the crowds as part of the group's across-the-country bus tour, I was so excited for him. Eddie is a great public speaker who doesn't pull any punches. I first had the honor and opportunity of getting to know Eddie when I was a frequent guest on his popular Alaska radio show. When he asked me if I could be a correspondent, covering Sarah Palin and national issues, I was so excited and jumped at the chance!!! I always tell everyone it was Eddie who gave me my first, big break. That is why is was an honor to serve under him as his press secretary when he decided to run for lieutenant governor of Alaska this past Spring. Although Eddie did not win the primary, he fought hard to the end, and I could not have been prouder of him. He truly is the voice of Alaska, and I know God has big plans for him. As the spokesperson for the newly formed Anchorage Tea Party, Eddie has made a huge impact and the popularity of this group is undeniable. Eddie's work on behalf of the tea party movement makes him a perfect fit as a speaker for the Tea Party Express. I am excited that Eddie and the Tea Party Express are coming to San Diego this Thursday. It will be fun to get to see him again and to introduce him to my family!!!

When Eddie told me he would be addressing the Tea Party Express crowd, I was so stoked for him. He also told me Sarah Palin, a fellow Alaskan and friend, would be addressing the crowd as well. I told him that he would have a blast and to keep me updated about his exciting experience. I jokingly told him that when he spoke with Sarah that I'd love to talk to her. Little did I know that this little joke would become a reality. While at work yesterday, I received a text from Eddie letting me know that Sarah may be calling me before her speech, I was speechless. This helps to illustrate just how much of a real deal and cool person Eddie Burke is!!! Those of my readers who have the pleasure of knowing him know exactly what I mean. Here is a guy who is about to address thousands of people, and he was thinking about his friend. This is just who Eddie Burke is!!!

When I saw my phone light up about 45 minutes after Eddie's text, I quietly slipped out of the room, as I was at work, and said "hello." I was so ecstatic to hear a familiar voice on the other end: "Hi, Rachelle. This is Sarah Palin." WOW, WOW, WOW!!! I mean, how cool is that??? You, regular readers of my blog, know how much I admire and look up to Sarah Palin. She is the reason why I began this blog and hold the political aspirations that I do. No words could express how much she inspires me. Although I have had the opportunity of meeting her before at her Reno book signing (I was covering the event for Eddie's show), getting this call from her made my day. It was TOTAL AWESOMENESS, as I like to say and definitely one of the BEST... DAYS... EVER!!! Sarah was so thoughtful and genuine. I will never forget her words of wisdom and the complement she gave me regarding my recent blog interview with her daughter, Bristol. I thanked her for all she has done and all she will continue to do in the name of common-sense conservatism. She is simply THE BEST and THE REAL DEAL, that's for sure!!!

I walked away from our conversation so proud of Sarah and so in awe of her character. Here is a woman, a modern-day political rock star who, just before she was to address a HUGE crowd, took the time to call this average girl- a conservative blogger, this Conservative Girl with a Voice. WOW!!! How ironic that I met her for the first time in Reno, Nevada, and she called me from Reno, Nevada.... I believe that everything happens for a reason, and God is using Sarah for His purpose. Her calling me yesterday illustrates just the kind of individual she is. Her genuine, kind and caring nature are three traits that all too often are forgotten in politics. We could use more individuals like Sarah Palin in the political arena!!! Thank you, Sarah, for making this conservative girl's day and for all you do for America!!!

Bristol Rocks on DWTS, Acknowledges Voter Support

Bristol Palin was fabulous on Dancing with the Stars last night. Not only was her technique sound, but she came with great fire--and the judges loved it!

Deborah Starr Seibel reports:

But what everyone in the audience was talking about was the surprisingly strong showing by Bristol Palin, who managed to rack up 23 points for her graceful tango before coming in second-to-last for the marathon. Nevertheless, she wowed with a newfound confidence on the dance floor.

"I realized that if I didn't go all out, I was gonna go home," said Palin, who is known to be painfully shy. "So I tried my best to go all out." The 20-year-old single mom somehow managed to survive dancing in a disastrous monkey costume last week, to say nothing of forgetting her steps.

That survival has led to much speculation that the Tea Party may be warming up their voting fingers in preparation for next week's election by voting for Republican Sarah Palin's daughter. Does Bristol think that's what's going on? "I'm sure they're backing us up," she said. "It's just my mom's supporters."

Added her partner, pro Mark Ballas, "I have no idea what the Tea Party is. But I'm from England and I like tea. So, whether it's a tea party, a coffee party, or any other beverage party — as long as it's non-alcoholic — we appreciate any support we can get."

Of course we're backing her up! Every vote counts--and we're exercising our right! Tonight we'll find out what next week holds for Bristol and Mark.

J.D. Gordon: Obama Smarter than Palin? Don't Believe the Hype

When Barack Obama stepped on the scene, those who believed the hype praised him for his intellect, his IQ, and how his massive brain power was going to lead America somewhere we had never been before. I've yet to see the evidence of this uncommon intelligence he supposedly possesses, but that's what the Kool Aid drinkers told us. On the contrary, Governor Palin was depicted as unread and unintelligent, a lie as large as the state from which she hails. J.D. Gordon of The Washington Times offers this:

While most pundits and late-night comedians place President Obama far ahead of Sarah Palin in terms of intellect, perhaps Public Enemy's best-known hit - "Don't Believe the Hype" - is a fitting tribute to this myth.

Propped up by the mainstream media as the intellectual version of Superman, Mr. Obama with his eloquent, if not robotic, public appearances has fed into the perception that he is one of the most brilliant people in world history - a political Albert Einstein, worthy of the Nobel Prize.

Mrs. Palin meanwhile, has been mercilessly attacked by most in the media and chronically lampooned on late-night TV to the point where some believe she said things that actually were said by comedians.

In fact, given Mr. Obama's track record in comparing his 2008 presidential campaign to the results of his presidency thus far and contrasting it with Mrs. Palin's steadfast leadership of the Tea Party movement, which is changing the political landscape of the country, I would argue that she is actually smarter than Mr. Obama.

First, Mrs. Palin understands that lofty campaign promises don't equate to good governance. Mr. Obama's presidential campaign, centered around "hope and change," has led to runaway spending in a roughly $800 billion stimulus bill, dramatically increased unemployment to roughly 10 percent - twice the rate of George W. Bush's administration - and ushered in Obamacare, which the majority of Americans oppose.

Mr. Obama's No. 1 priority, closing the Guantanamo Bay detention facility, as he mandated within hours of being sworn into office, went nowhere, as did outreach to Iran and now the Taliban fighting our troops in Afghanistan. Meanwhile, unilateral missile-defense cuts and world tours of apologies, complete with bowing to foreign leaders, have made the country less safe.

Given such factors, it should not be surprising that Mr. Obama's approval rating has plummeted from 68 percent at inauguration to a mere 44 percent less than 2 years later. Mrs. Palin campaigned in 2008 for balancing the budget, creating jobs, promoting energy independence and supporting the troops, issues that have remained crucial over the past two years.

Unlike Mr. Obama, Mrs. Palin can relate to Main Street. While the Obama family jetted to Martha's Vineyard, Maine and the Spanish Mediterranean coast last summer alone, the Palins have been connecting with the American public throughout the United States in dozens of speaking venues and other appearances, including "Dancing With the Stars." In a recent California speech, Mrs. Palin pointed to the plight of Central Valley farmers who can't get water for their crops while 37,000 jobs have been lost in the process - all to save a 2-inch fish (the delta smelt) which was rescued through an environmentalist lawsuit. "In Alaska, we call a 2-inch fish bait," she said wryly.

Last but not least, mainstream media and late night-comedy portrayals are deeply flawed when it comes to Mrs. Palin. It is easy to look smart when surrounded by teleprompters like Mr. Obama. In those rare instances when Mr. Obama strays from the script, we end up with comments like "the Cambridge police acted stupidly" that precipitated the infamous White House beer summit with his friend professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. of Harvard and Cambridge, Mass., Police Sgt. James Crowley. In contrast, Mrs. Palin relies heavily on speech notes during her public appearances and often speaks extemporaneously. Her folksy ways and plainspoken language are simply part of her charm and a reflection of her genuine character, not any indication of her intellectual capacity.

Though the mainstream media and comedians can say what they will, Americans will have their say at the ballot box. When voters scratch below the surface of myths that have been constructed carefully around Mr. Obama and Mrs. Palin and compare the myths to the track records over the past two years, they just might reconsider who is smarter.

Multiple Sources Debunk Politico's Palin Hit Piece

There's something to be said for learning from the mistakes of others. Yet when it comes to Governor Palin, people can't seem to do that. After Michael Joseph Gross's Vanity Fair article that brought shame on him when, one after another, real sources debunked his anonymous sources, Jonathan Martin of Politico puts himself in the same boat with his hit piece.

His article, "Sarah Palin is wreaking havoc on the campaign trail, GOP sources say" makes all types of claims about the Governor, accusing her of being difficult to work with, unaccommodating, and totally unorganized--rude and incompetent basically. He cites "sources" to substantiate his claims. His hit piece has come crashing down on his head, and a retraction and apology are in order. Many are calling for just that.

He claims, for example, that she has rudely backed out of interviews with Mark Levin and Glenn Beck. Lies! In fact, Beck calls it an "out and out lie." Outraged, here's what he said about this "trash":

Mark Levin calls the piece "a flat out lie" and says "Sarah Palin never backed out of any interview with me." Listen:

Governor Palin responded this way:

Johnny, Johnny, Johnny...ya just made big mistake lying about Levin, Beck, Rush...U can lie about me, but taking on the Big Guns? Not smart

The hit piece also states that Governor Palin snubbed the Grassley and King campaigns in Iowa. Lies! My fellow blogger and truth seeker, Shane Vander Hart, contacted them himself. This is what Shane wrote (emphasis added):

Eric Woolson, spokesperson for Senator Chuck Grassley’s campaign, for the record said, that the anonymous source “does not represent the Senator’s views.” So evidently Senator Grassley was not displeased with any interaction they had with the Palin camp.

I have yet to contact the Iowa GOP and will follow-up, but I did talk with Jeff King with Congressman King’s campaign he said that they “didn’t have any inkling that we’d get her for a rally. We would love to have her though.” He said they did not expect that it would work out. He said nobody from their campaign talked with Martin and they certainly don’t have any complaints about Palin.

Not only is Jonathan Martin's no-name sources lying, even the named sources debunk his claims.

Various other sources, including Big Journalism, also demand a retraction or blast this piece of crap that Politico calls journalism. C4P even received the following from Charlie Davis, CEO of the Southern Republican Leadership Conference (SRLC). It's an email they sent to Martin himself:

Hey Jonathan,

Hope you're doing well. Just read your article on Palin and wanted to add my two cents. (this wasn't requested by anybody and feel free to quote me if you'd like)

As you know the 2010 SRLC was the largest Republican Leadership Conference in 30 years, with more speakers, more press and more attendees than ever before. Governor Palin's staff was incredibly easy to deal with and very professional.

I interacted with every major GOP personality in the country leading up to the conference and can tell you first hand that the only thing different about Governor Palin was the intensity of the interest from the attendees, sponsors and even other speakers.

She's easily the most requested surrogate our party has and it's a shame that Republicans would rather gripe that they can't get more of her time instead of being appreciative of everything that she does do.

This post is just a buffet of information gathered from my colleagues who care about truth and honesty, who are committed to holding people accountable for what they say and do. The behavior of some who fancy themselves professionals is deplorable. More than that, it's just plain stupid. Governor Palin Shows Juan Williams More Graciousness Than He Ever Showed Her

NPR fired Juan Williams Wednesday night for expressing his nervousness when on a plane with people who choose to identify themselves first as Muslims. For this he gets fired. This is what the Left does to people who don't follow their agenda: silence them by any means necessary. Juan Williams was speaking for himself. Truth be told, he simply voiced a feeling that many Americans share. It's called being honest.

The hypocrisy of the Left is disgusting. MSNBC, for example, makes reprehensible comments about conservatives, particularly Governor Palin and tea party Americans, and people on their side of the aisle couldn't care less. Christians and their values are mocked by the Left daily, and nothing is said. We all know if Juan Williams had said Christians make him nervous, or tea partiers are dangerous, he would have been applauded rather than fired. But voicing his own nervousness when encountering Muslims on a plane gets him fired. That's Liberals for you--and that's the hypocrisy to which they are married. NPR is more desirous of political correctness than truth from their employees, having no respect, apparently, for First Amendment rights.

I'm no fan of Juan Williams, and I take umbrage at the disrespectful, sexist comments he's made about Governor Palin (see video), but NPR was out of line to fire him. Where were they when given the opportunity to denounce his sexist comments about the Governor? This firing is just further evidence of the Left's glaring hypocrisy and intolerance for anything that opposes their agenda. His association with Fox News has long been a thorn in their side, and his recent comments when speaking to Bill O'Reilly, gave them the excuse they needed to send him packing. This is the real deal behind all this. NPR, in bed with George Soros and receiving tax-payer dollars, clearly has an agenda. Like all Liberals, NPR wants to silence conservative media, like Fox News, because they have no respect for free speech whatsoever. More disturbing, this love affair the Left has cultivated with political correctness is going to lead us down a most dangerous road if unchecked.

Governor Palin, modeling true graciousness and class, has come out in support of Williams in spite of how he has treated her. She showed her support on Twitter several times today. Here are a few of those tweets:

1. NPR defends 1st Amendment Right, but will fire u if u exercise it. Juan Williams: u got taste of Left's hypocrisy,they screwed up firing you

2. Juan Williams: Going Rogue. NPR should receive NO fed tax dollars if it operates as intolerant, private radio. Mr. President, what say you?

3. NPR & LSM: you're shocked at public outrage over your censorship of Juan? This is what happens when our Constitution starts shaking her fist

Governor Palin followed up her many tweets with a Facebook note, joining others who are calling for the defunding of NPR:

At a time when our country is dangerously in debt and looking for areas of federal spending to cut, I think we’ve found a good candidate for defunding. National Public Radio is a public institution that directly or indirectly exists because the taxpayers fund it. And what do we, the taxpayers, get for this? We get to witness Juan Williams being fired from NPR for merely speaking frankly about the very real threat this country faces from radical Islam.

I don’t expect Juan Williams to support me (he’s said some tough things about me in the past) – but I will always support his right and the right of all Americans to speak honestly about the threats this country faces. And for Juan, speaking honestly about these issues isn’t just his right, it’s his job. Up until yesterday, he was doing that job at NPR. Firing him is their loss.

If NPR is unable to tolerate an honest debate about an issue as important as Islamic terrorism, then it’s time for “National Public Radio” to become “National Private Radio.” It’s time for Congress to defund this organization.

Why is this far-Left radio network being funded by our tax-payer dollars anyway? Looks like it's time for a change, and NPR has just dug itself a hole they may not be able to get out of. I hope calling attention to themselves simply because they hate Juan Williams' connection to Fox News was worth it because people are not going to let this go. NPR may have just cost itself some federal dollars. And to that, I say, "Well, it's about time."

I repeat: I'm not a fan of Juan Williams. I am a fan of truth, however. The truth is this: once again, the Left displays its intolerance, hypocrisy, and utter depravity. And once again, Governor Palin extends graciousness to one who has been none too gracious toward her.

Governor Palin Serves Up Jackass for Dinner

Why do people on the Left do this to themselves over and over? Why must they allow their Palin Derangement Syndrome to expose their own weaknesses while trying to find weaknesses in Governor Palin? Wouldn't it be better--less embarrassing--to throw in the towel now before they look even more petty and yes, more stupid?

I am a couple days late weighing in on this due to my crazy schedule lately. However, I couldn't let it pass without adding my two cents to the mix.

While addressing the Tea Party Express Rally in Reno earlier this week, Governor Palin spoke about not getting overly excited about the November elections just yet. There's still work to be done, the Governor stated, and warned people not to "party like it's 1773."

Sitting around waiting for something over which to yell, "Gotcha!" to Governor Palin--as the Left usually does--this was their moment. She doesn't know history! 1773? Ha! They flew into action to expose a perceived lack of knowledge on her part.

The problem is they are the ones lacking knowledge. Suffice it to say, however, now they've been schooled--by the one they call stupid. Now isn't that...ironic?

1773 is the year of the original Boston Tea Party, a fact clearly foreign to the Left. So guess who took to Twitter to make a fool of themselves: PBS's Gwen Ifill and Markos Moulitsas of the Daily Kos. Several other PDS sufferers joined in the giddiness and retweeted the two. The Huffington Post--the Huff and Puff, as I like to call them for all the hot air they blow--actually reprinted Moulitsas' tweet.

Of course, all these geniuses needed to do was a simple Google search of "historical events of 1773." The first response would have helped them identify that the Boston Tea Party happened on December 16th of that year.

I guess it's easier for arrogant members of the Left to just ridicule rather than research. Certainly, that's not at all surprising from the perpetually factually-challenged Moulitsas.

Governor Palin eventually weighed in herself, retweeting Michelle Malkin after Gwen Ifill refused to own up to her PDS-inspired gaffe:

It must be tough to be a bitter Liberal frightened by the "insignificant" Sarah Palin. I almost feel sorry for them--almost. These people fall for it every single time. What am I saying? Am I actually suggesting Governor Palin knew exactly what would happen when she threw 1773 out there? You betcha! Josh Painter says it best:

We're willing to bet that when Sarah's dad taught her how to fish, hunt and trap, little did he realize that some day it would have a political payoff.

Tuesday night was terrible on my nerves. Terrible! Being in jeopardy is not fun at all. I get anxious, but I don't stress because I'm 100% confident that Bristol and I are prepared when we hit the dance floor. It's a cliché but we live to not regret, which is what drives us to work as hard as we do. But those commercial breaks in between the results seem like they're thirty minutes each!

Now, about those judges. I was really disappointed and angry with the 4 that we received. I thought the scoring was a little inconsistent this week. I've been doing this a long time and I genuinely think our performance was worthy of a score higher than that 4! The great news is that will continue to motivate us and drive us to work tirelessly to prove those judges wrong!

This week we have the Jive and since Bristol didn't have any speaking engagements, we were able to have long days of rehearsal on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. She's picking up the steps quickly and we've really progressed over the past few days. We'll also be at it all weekend, as repetition is key to really get the routine down.I think you'll love our costumes and the song we're dancing to on Monday! Bristol is working really hard this week and the Jive is definitely her most challenging dance yet.

I'm really excited about my plans for Bristol's birthday. Her actual birthday is Monday, but I've got a few things planned for her. I'm taking her to the L.A. Kings hockey game. Since she's a huge hockey fan she should really love it!
(Sunday update: We had so much fun at the LA Kings game Friday night! Bristol was very surprised and couldn't stop smiling! We were given custom jerseys, Bristol had a birthday greeting on the big screen, we sat next to Vince Vaughn in the second row, AND we got to meet a couple of the players after their big win. If you ever have the chance to go to an NHL game, make sure you sit as close to the ice as possible. The players are huge guys and the game moves so fast. And thanks so much to Kings marketing manager Heather Bardocz and her team for making Bristol's surprise so memorable!

Having myself spent a month in Alaska during the summer of 2009, I recommend the series and am sure it will be enjoyable and educational for all. I've been to such places as Africa and Guatemala, and Alaska ranks right up there in depth of experience for me. What a beautiful, majestic place; no wonder they call it God's Country.

As the clip below shows, while fishing, the Palin family encountered some mama grizzlies--and they managed to remain calm! I suppose that's what separates sourdoughs from cheechakos!
